The bed was comfortable, the facilities worked quite well and were very clean. There are lots of rules though regarding Ice Machine, what you can use towels for, and how to turn in your keys. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast is just a few muffins, some fruit and coffee. If you are looking for a real breakfast, you will need to head into town.

Took trip to Florence Sand Dunes, closest motel to Dunes and great price , clean modern spacious room, convience store across street , had longbed truck and 24ft trailer was able to park ok there , but in busy times will be difficult.

Reminds me of watching Schitt’s Creek…in the best ways possible! This place has been a delight to stay in. The manager treats this place as if it were her own! She’s gone all out with the Halloween decor and creates a feeling of “family” here. Our room was immaculate and welcoming, spacious and comfy. ADA accessible and pet-friendly. Safe fire-pit to warm around some evenings. I would absolutely come back.

The manager is very friendly and accommodating. We have stayed at the Ocean Breeze Motel several times and find this meets our needs. They have upgraded the rooms and some of the amenities. Weather permitting there is a nice fire pit area with wood/log type benches, there is a picnic table under cover and a small off lease dog area that is fenced. It is south of Florence but close to the city and to dunes further south..

DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL! We were unable to stay in the room assigned us on Sept 29, 2025 due to the same, VERY strong deodorizer smell as reported by other guests. See reviews dated Aug 23, 2025 and July 22, 2025. Those reviews stated "The room had very potent deodorizer smell and didn't lessen with (the) window open." "Reeked of room deodorizer". "'The bathroom has a musty urine smell." After opening the door and also experiencing this VERY strong deodorizer smell, we immediately returned the key to the office and to sum it up were told were told no refund. I could understand their policy if our cancellation caused them to loose the revenue from this room for the date of our reservation, but they did not. Please don't make the mistake we made and review the negative comments others have made about this property. I recommend you to stay at another property in Florence as we did if you don't want to stay at an old property with the problems that come with it as found by us and several other guests. Sorry to have to post this very negative review, but my intent is to prevent others from having to not be able to stay at this motel due to the very bad smells reported and not get a refund as we experienced.

The person at the desk was not very helpful. The information about the place said there was a "breakfast to go", but we weren't informed of any. They said there was an ice machine and vending on the north end. However, I did not find one. It was a nice place for one night and I really liked that rooms with 2 beds were separated in separate rooms making for quiet and privacy.

For being an older hotel, we were quite surprised. It has been nicely refurbished with comfortable beds. Even though it's right on the 101, it was very quiet. We were in rm 12 with 2 queen beds. It was very spacious. Short comings were poor water pressure in the shower, sloping floor, and thin towels. If we go back to stay in that area again, we will return.

Manager was rude, she made sure I knew she was the manager and in charge. Internet didn't work most of the time. I won't be going there again. I was made to feel as I was an inconvenience. Very disappointed!

Room was a little dated, but clean & comfy. Has mini fridge, coffee maker & microwave. There is no A/C, so it may get a little uncomfortable in the Summer. The only con I can think of is that the shower head is the "low flow" type, so that made it harder to rinse out the shampoo from your hair. All in all, a very nice room for the price.

The first thing is the bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. The floor would have been softer. The pillows were hard as rocks. They turn the fridge off when people check out. It did not even get cold enough to use until day three. There is so.ething up with the electrical. One of the bathroom lights and one of the lights by the bed flickered like a strobe light. The sad part is we have stayed at this place for over 15 years. In that time they have changed management so many times and have lost the aspect of making it like home. Unfortunately, we will have to break this tradition. For the price, it is worth staying at another motel/hotel down the street. I say the least, we were not just unhappy, we were broken hearted that this place has become what it is.

Older style one-floor motel right on HWY 101. The rooms have been updated and are very well kept. We had a pleasant 2-night stay. Our only negative comment is that we were in room #2, which has adjoining room doors. We could hear our neighbors too easily and clearly, even though they weren't being loud at all.

The customer service was phenomenal outstanding, 10 out of 10 stars. The room was comfortable and quiet. The front desk was accommodating to my needs traveling answered all my questions about the area. Highly recommend.

I tried to call to asked questions about my family's 4 reservations. Received 1 call back which I missed due to a work meeting and tried several more times throughout day to which I never received a return phone call. My brother called and spoke with Pamela, who wasn't helpful or very nice and ended up hanging up on him. Also, my sister booked through Hotels.com and she received and email from Ocean Breeze Motel asking her to cancel Hotels.com reservation and book directly with them. Also, check-in hours are 4-9PM and I was told that we had to be in our rooms for the night by 10PM.

Pamela is the best Manager I've encountered on a long motorcycle trip through the western US! Property is very clean, inside and out. Rooms appear to have been remodeled at some point recently. Modern fixtures, tv, fridge, etc. Easy access into town, quiet, and simple layout. Nice beds and bedding. I'll be back for sure!

I arrived early and asked if we could check in. We were told check in was 4 pm. I asked if there was any chance our room was ready. It was but we were told there was a 20 dollar surcharge to check in early. That is ridiculous considering the place was already extremely overpriced!!

Everything was great until I ask if we could stay until 11:30 on a Sunday because we were watch our church service on line and the manager very rudly said that would be $50.00 !! Not cool !! It was Sunday morrning !!!

This motel room was large, clean and have everything in it that I needed. It’s in a good location in Florence, close to town, stores and restaurants, and the Three Rivers Casino. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The place was easy to get to and close to what we needed. It had the space we needed and was clean. There was no air conditioning but they provided a fan. We would stay here again.

Clean, quiet motel a couple minutes from the ocean and from downtown Florence. It is an older motel, but in fine condition. The room was quite clean, and the property manager was great. Be aware you’ll be hearing traffic as the moral is right on 101, but it didn’t keep me up. Would stay again if ever I find myself in the area.

The motel was right on the highway, which was very convenient for us. Surprisingly, it wasn't noisy in the room. Our room was huge! I couldn't get over how big our bathroom was; I could almost do a cartwheel inside! The bed was super comfy, a big deal when you're on a 3 week road trip. The owner/ operator was vey friendly and knew the area well.

For a one night stay, while passing through the Florence area, this motel was just fine. It seems older but rooms were a nice size and tidy and clean. Reasonable price. It is situated south of the bridge right on Hwy. 101. Despite being right next to the highway traffic noise was not terrible. No A/C but there was a small fan provided in the room which was nice. Beds were okay (one of the two beds in our room was really creaky).

Downside is it is not close to restaurants and other amenities. There is a convenience store across the street but that is it. They do have a small refrigerator/freezer, microwave and coffee maker inside the unit. Decent internet; I was able to work remotely with no problems. Local amenities were within close driving distance. We will probably stay there again!

The person at the desk was not very helpful. The information about the place said there was a "breakfast to go", but we weren't informed of any. They said there was an ice machine and vending on the north end. However, I did not find one. It was a nice place for one night and I really liked that rooms with 2 beds were separated in separate rooms making for quiet and privacy.

The bed was comfortable, the facilities worked quite well and were very clean. There are lots of rules though regarding Ice Machine, what you can use towels for, and how to turn in your keys. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast is just a few muffins, some fruit and coffee. If you are looking for a real breakfast, you will need to head into town.

This is a great small motel. A great find!! Quiet, clean, close to activities: dune buggy rides or rentals, eatery's, horseback riding & shops. Haceta lighthouse is up the road, a short easy hike, beach access too!
