Had a pleasant stay at Novotel Chandigarh. The highlight was the exceptional service from housekeeping staff member Jaspreet, who was cheerful, helpful, and professional throughout. He went above and beyond to ensure comfort and even declined a tip, saying it was his duty – truly commendable. All requests, including extra bedding, were accommodated very quickly, making the stay smooth and hassle-free. The food including breakfast options could be improved. We booked this hotel for 3 nights through Expedia and arrived from United States. We arrived in the night and the room allocated to us was good. But when we touched the bedding, we were shocked after paying USD 120 per night. The bedsheet, pillows were full of stains. Also towels in washroom was very old and low quality. After request they changed everything. On positive side all the staff members were really helpful and very nice. On 3rd night of booking a lot of noise was coming in corridor, we request to check and advise if they consider other guests also staying in hotel. But hotel staff was unable to stop that and later in midnight they changed the room. In summary it was not a very comfortable after paying a lot of money. Only thing we found good a very polite, nice and helpful staff specially at the main entrance and breakfast area.

I had deliveries made to the hotel and on 3 occasions, the staff denied it and later found out but it meant 3 one hour stressful sessions. i got a sorry but it still repeated. The rooms were not properly cleaned or serviced when i was away. i paid the bill at the beginning and only to be told when i was leaving that the receptionist got it wrong and it was underpaid.

The hotel was incredibly loud with TV's in the restaurant and loud music in the lobby, restaurant and terrace. It was not like being in India at all. You might as well have been in some American city!

Staff had some issues. We requested late check out prior to end of our stay since had business meetings the check out day. Front desk said was fine and wasn’t a problem. On checkout day kept on harassing us to leave earlier. We were considering extending stay for another couple of days but decided to go to another property. Overall mediocre experience. Reviews made it seem like service would be great but wasn’t up to the hype.

poor room service, furniture not equipped to cater for a weeks stay - ok for a one day trip, got charged 20% of meal for having half a toast as i was ill. only interested in your money and not service. Receptionists and staff are poorly trained who did not do a good service - were totally dependent on the managers
