Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Markham

Clean and renovated. The elevator is being upgraded so they are down to one but the wait was not that long. Ample parking, nice view. Good for short stay for a family. Close to Hwy 7 so getting food / gas, and hopping onto Don Valley was easy.

Excellent hotel by Marriott as always, clean, friendly and quiet. Plus free parking! I just wish they had other options for breakfast than just a Starbucks.

This hotel is an excellent choice for a family vacation and truly a paradise for golf lovers. The room was spacious and well-equipped, making our stay comfortable. However, the kitchen utensils could have been cleaner, and there were a few strands of hair on the bathroom floor, which was a bit disappointing. Communication with the front desk staff was also somewhat difficult. That said, the overall environment and the pool area are beautiful and perfect for a relaxing holiday.

The elevator was way too busy, the other one broke down. No stairs

Bed was comfortable. Pool was great. Didn't have time to check anything else out.

Clean and quiet. The second elevator was out the entire time which was inconvenient at times.

The hotel was spacious and rooms were comfortable. The service was great. Only thing was that the one of the two elevators was on service during the whole week and half, and so the wait was sometimes long.

Parking was convenient.

Staff are outstanding. Love the pool and rooms are always so clean.

The room was clean and parking was easy

The smell of cigarette smoke entering the room during the night was unacceptable. Front desk was notified on 7/17,7/18 and 7/19. Would consider not going back.

Bedbugs alert! Stayed for two nights and noticed some rashes on my leg after the first and gotten worst after the second night. Did some researches and realized they were bedbug bites! Very disgusted with this place and please run, don't walk, if you are thinking to book this place! Also, there was no housekeeping service after the front desk promised one.....

Room was big but caulking on the bathtub had mold on it and there was someone removing snow after 11PM making all kinds of noises everytime he backed up which was all the time. Then in the morning I went down to get a coffee and the price for a large coffee was $7.50. Normally coffee is free in the lobby in most hotels. I will not go back to this hotel

Le ménage des chambres n’a pas été effectué. Politique de Marriot au deux jours seulement. Nous avions réservé pour deux nuits, donc aucun ménage n’était offert par l’hôtel. Nous n’étions pas au courant de cette politique avant d’arrivée. L’hôtel était somme toute très bien.

We got bedbug bites during the stay. Requested to change all the bed-sheets. When we came back in the evening, the staff there told us they inspected everything and changed all the bed-sheets as promised, which they did not -- There was a stain on the bed sheet and it was still there when I returned, which means they were lying about changing the sheets. Also they provide services once every 2 days, while only providing 1 day worth of coffee/cups/towels. Also bed sheets were not changed even on the days with service, unless you sit there and watch them and insist on changing...

The hotel was new and clean

The hotel was clean. The carpet was clean, The bedsheets were clean. The bathroom was clean. Soundproof walls. Furnitures were new. The bed was comfortable. I can’t complain. This is what I’m looking for in any hotel. I highly recommend it and definitely would stay next time

The room was spotless quiet and had modern amenities

We enjoyed our stay! Rooms are spacious, very clean & up to date. Fairly close to downtown Toronto where we were visiting family! Would absolutely book again!

Room was perfect. Nice King Bed; large TV, other furnishings all very good. Shower excellent. Efficient check In etc

Could hear the TV from the room beside us. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay!

Rooms were clean and nice, however, several things just didn’t work. The bedside table chargers, the Bluetooth connection on the television, and the alarm clock all came with technical issues or just straight up didn’t work at all.

The rooms are beautiful since the renovations.

A good hotel with comfortable bed and large space

A very nice hotel, one of the cleanest I stayed in recently. Very modern room, might have been recently renovated. Looked exactly like the website. I stayed in a very quiet corner room. Highly-recommend!

We were there for a hockey tournament with kids, booked with the team. They were accommodating with allowing kids to play in the lobby. Didn’t appreciate no continental breakfast considering the high cost of the room. Offering onsite Starbucks (a few coffee items) is great but not when you’re charging $9 for a latte and $8 for a bagel. 🙄 would not return based solely on the lack of breakfast. We also found earrings in the middle in the carpeted floor so I know the vacuum didn’t touch our room before we checked in. Hotel doesn’t offer microwaves in the rooms. I called in advance to inquire and was offered one ‘if they had one to lend’, thankfully they did.

This hotel was convenient for our appointment. Parking was easy and we could see our car from our room. We were able to walk across the street for dinner. It would have been nice if breakfast could be included. The heating/cooling unit in our room was a bit noisy but the hotel itself is soundproof. I had a hard time understanding what the receptionist was saying but he seemed nice enough. The wi-fi reception at this location is absolutely terrible, especially on a phone. It only lasts two or three seconds before cutting out. Something to think of if you have any work to do that involves internet access. Spacious bed area, very static blankets (lots of sparks).

Property is clean and close to a lot of food options. However, the rooms are way too dark. I won’t want to stay here again.

Not friendly front desk especially night shift

Delightful customer service at the reception desk they greeted us with a smile everytime we passed by

Wasn't aware a credit card needed for damage deposit - didn't have one with me, and they wouldn't accept cash payment. Claimed they had no way to issue a refund afterwards on the cash deposit. They left me sitting in the lobby all night with no sleep while the room that was booked and paid for sat empty and unused. I ended up having to log in to work and start working the next morning, still in the lobby with no access to the room. No flexibility to adapt or allow for simple human decency and compassion - money first at all costs - no consideration at all for the guests. Didn't even offer a refund on the room for that night. Absolutely terrible. Completely disgusted. And staff just kept saying, "Sorry, it's policy, there is nothing I can do."

The staff were very friendly and accommodating to everything we asked for. Cheryl was very nice and warm when we checked in, and all the other staff were kind also.

I lost my wallet at check-in, but within ten minutes Expedia staff helped me prove my identity and change the name of the person checking in. However, I was told I could not check in and was left hanging over and over again when I had driven six hours, had a torrential downpour outside the hotel and had nowhere to go temporarily, otherwise I would have immediately cancelled my refund and given a bad review. Because I could clearly feel the unfriendliness and impatience of the clerk Sam and the manager, when I questioned that I was being treated unequally, they blamed all the problems on the Expedia specialist who enthusiastically helped me communicate with the hotel for up to an hour and kept getting hung up. Ms. Sam, and the very unfriendly manager, you have a very negative way of dealing with the problem and I don't like it very much. I was so dissatisfied with your service that I even had to serve you in turn to give me and my friend a good break. The manager lady who was on duty at 4pm on May 1st, you may be a manager because you are serious about your work, but a big hotel chain always has no shortage of arrogant and condescending people like you to influence the company. Overall, the room was clean and the room service was good, but the front desk is the one that only avoids work and shirks responsibility.

The front desk attendant kaushal was extremely rude and unprofessional. We checked in around 2:30am and the main door to lobby was close. He took very long to open the door, we had to knock on the door few times and upon asking why it took so long to open the door he refused to check us in on multiple occasion and when we asked if we can talk to his manager he said “ he is the manager and owner of the place”. He didn’t once apologize. We have never experienced such an unpleasant and unprofessional attitude at a Marriott.

Front desk staff was exceptional. We arrived early and not only did Cheryl do everything she could to let us check-in early, but she sought out the best available room for us. She was so cheerful and helpful. Everyone at the front seat was always cheerful and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable.

The hotel looked exactly like the photos. Nice, clean, updated. We were visiting Toronto for the very first time and this was an excellent choice and location. Abt 15-20 mins from downtown. The only thing I would have had was a heating device in my hotel, toaster oven or something similar. Highly recommend and would definitely come back.

Convenient, close to big shopping centres

Convenient location , close to lots of restaurants and shopping malls. Staff are very nice and helpful. Ample parking.

Great area!

We like that its easy access to the 407. We were there for my grandsons hockey and it was easy to get to the arenas. We also loved the balcony and small pull out couch with ottoman made it very comfortable for watching tv in the evening. Many nice restaurants within walking distance and we had dinner one night in the lobby restaurant and it was reasonable and hit the spot.

Easy to find. Close to restaurants and shipping malls.

Right on highway 7, where all the restaurants and markets are, so convenient. Staff was nice and rooms are clean.

A nice hotel, close to restaurants and close to our relatives! Easy to find and park at. Restaurant /bistro in the lobby. Good breakfast served, but not complimentary.

Liked everything but was disappointed with what the Bar considered to be happy hour. What they offered was no where near what the on site advertisement promised

Breakfast should also be included with the room. My only concern. I’ll stay somewhere where it is included next stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great for dining and near the freeway. They had a washer and dryer that guest could use. I enjoyed my stay except the restaurant and coffee bar/ cafe was closed. They had a holiday schedule in place. The hotel was very clean.

Overall nice. The only thing I didnt like was the operating hours for restaurant in the lobby.
