Stayed 1 night

Unfortunately, our one-night stay was disappointing. I was traveling with another young woman and my 10-month-old infant, and we had to change rooms three times—Rooms 704, 703, and 711—because of multiple maintenance issues. In the first room, the TV did not work and the phone had no dial tone. In the second room, the TV worked, but again, the phone had no dial tone. In the third room, the TV came on but the screen went black after a few minutes. We also discovered wet carpet near the radiator by the window. Around 11:30 p.m., a staff member offered to move us to a fourth room on another floor. After already moving a crib, a baby, and all of our belongings multiple times, I simply could not manage another room change that late at night. The lack of a working room phone was particularly concerning. As two young women traveling with an infant, I wanted to know that we could quickly reach the front desk or hotel staff if we needed assistance. General safety concerns that women often think about while traveling, including stories involving human trafficking, made the situation even more unsettling for me. I felt anxious and did not sleep well that night. Thankfully, nothing unsafe occurred, but having a functioning room phone would have provided an important sense of security. The next morning, I explained our experience to the front desk and mentioned that I am a Marriott Bonvoy member. The manager was very kind and apologetic and offered a $50 adjustment.

ARC Hotel is a quiet hotel located near the Kennedy Center. The room was nice and well maintained. The A/C was a little noisy but worked well. The lobby has a great snack bar. Valet parking made it easy. Would stay here again.

Very solid hotel, excellent location. One issue - elevators very small and quite slow. It created bottlenecks, especially when cleaning crews were using them with their carts. One cleaning person + cart = full elevator Everything else was very good, I'd stay there again. Just leave a few minutes extra to account for potential elevator wait time
