Gorgeous boutique hotel with lovely rooms and a charming staff. Very close to Piazza Navona, so walk to everything in the center of Rome. The rooftop bar is small and spectacular. This was my second stay and I liked it just as much as the first time. My go-to in Rome! The Bulgari bath products are a nice bonus!

Stayed two nights in early July and had a near perfect experience. The staff are wonderful - so friendly and helpful with reservations etc. The hotel is immaculate, with fresh, well-designed rooms. There is a wonderful patio bar/restaurant on the roof with amazing views of the city. With its central location you can walk pretty much everywhere. We had a terrific stay here. Highly, highly recommended.

The hotel was clean, well located, and overall. However, the bed was not as comfortable as expected, and construction work inside the property started at 8 AM, making it hard to rest in the morning. Still, the staff was kind and professional, and the experience was generally good.

Hotel is in a great location and easy walk to all the star locations, including 25 walk to Vatican. Breakfast is wonderful with a harpist playing. Delicious food but vegetarian. Wonderful rooftop bar. A bit pricy for our stay but not much more than other places so delta was small. Staff was wonderful.

Die Lage direkt hinter der Piazza Navona ist hervorragend, man ist schnell an den wichtigsten Orten im Zentrum von Rom. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie erwarte ich einfach mehr. Billige Seifenspender in der Dusche, die Fugen sahen "schimmelig" aus. Der Haarfön lag auf einem Stuhl unter dem Waschbecken, keine Halterung. Die leere Wasserflasche war auch einen Tag später noch leer. Wie erwähnt, die Preise entsprechen der Kategorie, der Rest leider nicht.

It’s a pity to say that I had a terrible experience at this hotel, as the hotel it’s beautiful and very well located, the employees are very professional and courteous but the room was full of flies and mosquitoes, bathroom shower was moldy and the AC was not working, the breakfast had great items but the omelette was terrible and the chef making it had bad attitude, not pleasant at all, they have to work on this as it’s a very beautiful hotel, besides the cook guy everyone was super nice, but to sleep without ac in the middle of summer was terrible

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Raphael. The location is perfect for exploring Rome's main sites with the Colosseum and Vatican being within walking distance. The room was large, clean and had plenty of storage. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Giving 4 stars rather than 5 due to the limited vegan options at breakfast. Also no allergens/ingredients are displayed on the buffet breakfast items to be able to try and work out which food items may be vegan. As a Vegetarian hotel it would be great if there was more options for vegans who chose to stay.

We had a wonderful time at Bio hotel Raphael. Very friendly and polite staff. Beautiful and cozy hotel with very clean and comfortable rooms. The rooms were fully equipped with modern and expensive appliances. Overall great experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel Raphaël Wow! Where should I begin! This hotel is completely over the top! We were treated like royalty at every turn! Every one of the staff members in this hotel is amazing! As much as I’d like to name them all, let me say Mary and Paloma at the front desk were incredible! Our room was truly 5 star, and so spacious! Breakfast was wonderful! Everyone was kind and courteous! One street off Piazza Navona, and close to all other attractions. We will NEVER stay in any other hotel in Rome again!

The property was nice. Unfortunately the rooms have no a/c and they bring you a fan or tell you to open the window. Which was disappointing for the amount they charge per night. Wish they would have at least offered a discount, but instead just apologized.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I have a mixed reaction. The location is excellent, the staff is outstanding, and the service and facilities are first-rate. But my room was very small, far too small for a couple to share. I had to squeeze between the desk (not usable as a desk) and bed to get to the far side of the room where there was only a small chair stuck in the corner so tight that the wall molding poked me in the back. The lights made a bad buzzing sound that made me not want to use them. The size of the room made it not a good value, considering the cost of the hotel. The exceptionally well appointed bathroom was so small you had to turn sideways to get in it (and I'm not large) and you keep knocking into door handle or sink or tub. But I do want to emphasize how outstanding the staff is, how welcoming and helpful, and how great the location and the amenities. I'd stay there again, but only with a bigger room--and maybe different lights (a weird complaint, perhaps, but the buzzing was really loud and intrusive).

Wonderful small luxury hotel in fantastic location near Piazza Navona yet on a more tranquil street. Beautiful room and bathroom tastefully decorated (we stayed on the floor designed by Richard Meier). Fantastic staff, helpful, efficient and friendly. Very nice buffet breakfast. Do no miss drinks or dinner at the rooftop bar and restaurant with an unparalleled view of Rome. We look forward to returning.

Great hotel in general but the Richard Meier Executive Deluxe Room? Proceed with caution. The photos for this room category clearly show arm chairs or other seating. Yet my room was barely big enough for a bed, with a tiny desk and desk chair in the corner. I raised the discrepancy and was upgraded to a Richard Meier Executive Suite, so I never saw another “Deluxe” room to compare. It’s understandable old hotels have irregular sized rooms but if can’t match the online photos in general it maybe should be a different category.

Hotel muito bem localizado com um Rooftop muito legal em Roma. Porém, para nossa surpresa o ar condicionado era central e estava parametrizado pra aquecimento. Mesmo sendo Novembro estava muito calor e mais de 20° em Roma e ficou um calor insuportável dentro do quarto impossibilitando uma noite agradável de sono. A solução proposta do hotel foi um empréstimo de um ventilador ou dormir de janela aberta (com o barulho das ruas de Roma). Enfim, a tarifa cobrada não é condizente com as instalações e conforto. Muito frustrante. Nunca havia passado por isso em nenhum hotel no mundo, ainda mais se tratando de um hotel que tem o selo de um Relais Chateaux.

I travel several times a year to Italy. When in Rome, I always stay at “La Raphael”. This time around, during “Ferragosto” season, for some reason our room lost power. Things happen when in Rome. The hotel and staff were awesome. The immediately offered an upgrade, changed our room, provided gifts and payed for our car service to the airport the next day. They could not have been more gracious, accommodating and kind. They have a client for live. Thank you. Dr. Pietro Memmo….

Je connais bien cet hôtel où je suis allée 3 fois en 4 ans . Mis à part le fait que les prix ont considérablement augmenté, l’accueil est toujours aussi bon lorsqu’il s’agit du personnel en place depuis longtemps , mais le personnel a la réception change tous les jours et malgré une bonne volonté ne parvient pas à rédiger une facture correcte et les informations ne sont pas transmises entre les différents membres, l’après covid semble difficile .

Our stay at the hotel was almost perfect, except for an incident at the TV room where a single individual was speaking loud in his i-phone for one hour and turned the volume of the TV off while I was watching a program. I complained at the reception but no action was taken. Only after the said individual left, someone came and offered to turn on the volume, but it was too late. The program I was interested in had ended half an hour earlier. The ambience at breakfast time with the harp player was especially pleasant and even quite relaxing. Both artists were real professional and their repertory was excellent. Congratulations to them.

Beautiful hotel with outstanding English speaking support services at the front desk. They were so helpful with dinner reservations, transportation, everything. It was also in a great central location to walk to everything. Had a fun vibe around the area too. I had also emailed them prior to arrival to confirm transportation options, dinner reservations, etc. and they were so responsive and accommodating! Great all around. I would definitely stay again.

The Bio Hotel Raphael is wonderful! The staff is courteous and attentive. The location, just off of the Piazza Navona, is perfect. The views of Rome from the roof top restaurant are beautiful and the food is delicious! My room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities I needed for my stay.

Had a very bad experience at checking because they did not recognize the US Department of State official passport ID Card. Also breakfast was included in our package and at checkout they try really hard to make us pay for breakfast. Please note that they are into vegan and Bio friendly food and there are no meat of any kind at breakfast lunch or dinner. Hotels.com should make them make the public aware of this policy
