Seaway Inn

Very small parking lot, but overflow to parking for Dream Inn. Free parking is great. Ludicrous pet fees! Nice place and great location.

This little motel is adorable! Whoever did the designs in the rooms should come to my home! The rooms are stunningly updated with built-in cabinets, cool lighting, fridge and microwave station, lovely bathrooms with mermaid wallpaper and privacy drapes. Parking can be a bit tricky, but I’ve always found a spot. The employees are so friendly. Brittany is a happy lady who loves to laugh and share stories. They sell soda and water at the front desk, and are also happy to fill your ice bucket. Walking distance to many places, I love the location. The Boardwalk is very close, as is the Pier. Rates vary a lot throughout the week, so check ahead of time. Also ask for discounts like Senior and Military rates.

Room was clean and thoughtfully decorated in a modern beach aesthetic. Comfy bed. Loved the full windows that gave a glimpse of the shore. Close enough to take a nice walk along the wharf. Front desk staff were lovely. Would have liked a more accessible ice and water refill station and using the physical key was a little finnicky - card would have been faster and easier but maybe they can't do that with the sliding door entry. Overall would recommend!

I didn't care that other guests didn't adhere to the noise tolerance, and partied under my unit till way past midnight. You can't really view the ocean from the room unless you're standing at the window. Bathroom is very small, for the size of the room, the price is high, but I get it that's due to the location of the property to the warf and boardwalk, but the entire area is not a dog friendly. Plus the dog rates are outrageous. I had noted ahead of time it was $50 a night, I wouldn't have kept my reservation. There is no dog friendly area for the dog to relieve himself unless you go on the concrete blocks between the parked cars. No grass, no courtyard to accommodate for the charge.

Great location. Lovely shower. Comfy bed. But the parking seemed tight for the amount of rooms they had. And the room could never get completely dark because we didn’t have curtains. We still enjoyed our stay.

Limited parking. But location perfect and walkable for many things . Only Suggestion would be a screen on sliding door to be able to leave open and enjoy the fresh air

This is a cute hotel with comfortable beds and a large shower. It would be nice if there was a bottled water/soda machine, as well as an ice machine that wasn’t only accessed by front desk staff. For those with mobility issues, it is located up a somewhat steep hill, so walking back from the pier was a bit difficult.

Awesome little place, literally a 5min walk from the boardwalk!! Free parking, great customer service and a beautiful litlle room, super clean!! We will definitely stay here on our next trip to the boardwalk

Very friendly and accomodating staff. Extra parking next door. Very close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants.

The room was very clean and well stocked with towels and shampoo, soap, etc. and since it is dog friendly, a good supply of poop bags and an outside trash can. (A small area of grass would be helpful, tho, since there’s not a good place to take dogs to pee.)

If you want a CLEAN hotel room, this is your place. It was absolutely spotless. The bed was comfortable, and the room is really nice. The walk in shower was a plus. I will stay there again.

I had a great stay at this hotel. My room was spacious, clean, and stylishly furnished, with a bathroom that feels like it belongs in a higher-end hotel. The location is perfect for reaching the main beaches at a walking distance. I’ll definitely stay here again. Special mention to the staff for their kindness!

Was advertised as "ocean view". While technically that\'s true, it was a very small, obscured view from our window, and you can\'t even really keep the window open because of people constantly walking by and looking in the room, had to keep the curtains closed. Certainly not anywhere near the caliber of ocean view I\'m used to from previous ocean view stays at other resorts. In addition, the room was super dirty. Toilet was disgusting. The curtain rod in the shower fell down multiple times. The room itself was run down and not well maintained - could at least use a coat of paint on certain areas. Some of the guests in a neighboring room were having some kind of get together or party and were incredibly noisy for several hours, talking very loudly, even yelling at some points. No doubt anyone who was staying in any of the rooms in the place could have heard them. I understand it wasn\'t at night, but was still incredibly annoying. The management there should have at least told them to tone it down. Lastly, the service was not the best. Took us forever to check in (I\'ve never had this experience anywhere else). We were originally told our room wasn\'t ready, though another couple was able to check in even though they came early as well. We came back a few hours later when they told us to come back and were then told they would "check" if our room was ready. Fortunately it was, but it still took close to 45 minutes to check in even at that point. Not recommended at all

We really enjoyed our stay at the Seaway Inn. Tim at the front desk was super helpful in making sure we were comfortable. The room was super clean and free parking was awesome! So close to everything. We will definitely be staying there again :)

I've waited almost a week to leave this review to make sure I was being objective. Overall, our stay was ok. There were small annoyances like a missing TV remote, very cramped parking lot, and really bright lighting coming in the bedroom all night long. My daughter found hair in her bed, which isn’t unheard of in a hotel room, but not enjoyable to find. My disappointment really came when we were on our way home and received a text that we were being charged $20 for a stained towel. No one in my family knows anything about a stained towel, but also it seems very petty when we just spent barely shy of $800 for 2 nights at a very old motel with no amenities (no pool, spa, laundry, gym, breakfast). Admittedly we were paying spring break inflated prices, but still very expensive for what you get. Personally, I think it wasn't a wise business decision to charge for the towel because it just left a poor taste in our mouths about the accommodations in general, we weren't being nit picky until they were nit picking a towel. I'll also add, the towels are far from anything special, small and scratchy, I could've replaced it for maybe $8.

Towels were stained, the room was VERY small, and the TV did not work. The location was great. I do wish I would have spent a bit more money on a different hotel in the area

The property is in an excellent location to explore the best of Santa Cruz. The room was spacious, very clean, quiet, had a coffeemaker, fridge, attractive, and was newly renovated. The staff was friendly, professional, and very accommodating. I had a very good stay! Recommended!

It was okay. Small room but clean and renovated.

Very nice modern room and great shower. Bed was very comfy. Walls were thin though, you could hear everything. Close to the water and shops.

We stayed in an upstairs ocean view king room. The room was clean and had a great bed/linens. There were recent updates of flooring, wallpaper, and fixtures throughout. The shower was spacious, modern, well-lit and clean. The service was friendly and responsive. We interacted with three different front desk people, all were great. The balcony offered a fine, but distant view of the ocean and boardwalk. The location was great. It's a short walk to the beach, boardwalk and wharf. Parking was available in the main lot as well as an overflow lot right behind the building...super easy. Overall, we were quite pleased, we'd recommend the Seaway to friends and family, and we'd be happy to stay here again.

It is small, beds are uncomfortable, we ended up having to downgrade because the AC didn’t work in the room we originally started in. The shower curtain rod falls on you when getting out of the shower.

Air conditioner in Room 223 didn’t work on a very warm night. Good location, mattress and linens was tired. Won’t be back.

The staff made our late check in easy and were very accommodating/communicative during our arrival. The suite was perfect for our short stay, and location is only a short walk or drive to the boardwalk. Everything was great!

Great place. Will definitely stay again. Staff was awesome! They kept in contact with me the whole time to make sure someone would be there so we can check in since we were arriving late.

A dog in the room next to us, was barking all night & kept us up, Paper thin walls. Felt like the dog was in our room. Horrible customer service . No one on staff from midnight to 8 am! Hotel seems unfinished and under construction

The staff are always friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable.

Every member at the front desk were soooo nice and helpful. We had surf gear in an open bed truck and they let us store luggage and other items without any hassle. Accomodations were very nice and the location is spectacular. We will make this a regular stay on our surf trips.

It was a quick stop over the hotel was nice and we had a little hiccup when checking in, the lady at the front desk was wonderful in helping us out and making it all work out. Friendly staff and great location

Simple but decorative rooms , great staff and lived our stay there. Reasonable price and close to both Boardwalk and Pacific Ave restaurants and shops about a twenty minute pleasant walk away and couple minute drive.

Stayed one night with my son. Great little boutique hotel! Walking distance to restaurants and shopping and has a decent view. We would stay again for sure!

Got a green egg for breakfast! A lot of extra charges added on! Room wasn’t super clean!
