Nous sommes arrivés vers 23:00 , la réception est fermée et l'on doit s'inscrire à partir d'un terminal . En plus du numéro de réservation , on doit compléter nom , adresse , numéro de téléphone etc . Ces données sont pourtant disponibles dans ma réservation effectuée avec votre entreprise . Au moment du paiement de dépôt de sécurité , le système refuse la transaction avec un code d'erreur , on doit tout recommencer . On arrive pour se stationner près de la chambre , un autre client arrive et dit qu'on ne peut pas stationner car la réception lui a dit que c'était son stationnement puisqu'il faisait face à sa porte de chambre , la nôtre n'avait pas de stationnement . Nous avons donc dû chercher un emplacement disponible qui ne dérange pas les autres clients , aucune indication en ce sens .

The room was clean but small. There was a bar fridge, but no microwave. No drawers, but shelves. Parking is not assigned per unit, so random cars can take the spot that might logically be 'yours', which is frustrating. The lights outside half the units do not work so it is impossible to see the unit numbers in the dark. I could hear the guy in the unit beside me coughing. However, the price is reasonable, and all in all good for a couple night's stay.

Front desk staff was excellent and very professional. The room was nice and beds were clean and comfortable, unfortunately, the floors were very dirty, door handles inside and out were dirty, room smelled stale, air conditioner was very loud and could not be turned down due excessive heat so inhibited sleep and did not cool the room enough. Front office entrance could have new floor carpet (the old one was a trip hazard) and an ice-maker. Parking lot could be repaved.

The room was well represented at first until we took our shoes off and walked the room to the bathroom our socks was so dirty and the toilet seat was not clean at all… it had yellow stains on it. All in all I wasn’t afraid to walk outside and the bed seems clean and comfortable!

Motel was ok. Very pricy for what it is, but perhaps it was because F1 was happening in the city. Still. Too expensive for very minimal amenities. Booked a non smoking room and we got put in a fully smoked room. When reporting it, they asked if we had touched anything before moving us, that tells me they weren’t going to clean it and just give it to the next guest. Our second room had many ants in it, the room was damp and warm, even with the air conditioning on. We had very loud neighbors yelling, blaring music and slamming doors. Also when booking, they advertise the O building, not what the actual motel looks like so it was deceiving. I mean it’s a decent place to stay but was expensive for what it was. Would not recommend.

The room is nice. It was clearly redone. However there is a problem with the drainage since when we start the fan in the bathroom there is a sewage smell. This means that we stopped using the fan after the first night and kept the bathroom door open when showering.

Rapport qualité/prix ; pas beaucoup de service! La TV ne fonctionnait pas et l’air climatisé était vraiment bruyant ( j’ai dû le débrancher pour avoir la paix) Le fan de la chambre de bain très très bruyant !!! Par contre la douche et les serviettes c’est ok . Le lit très confortable et propre! Pas de WIFI c’est pas fonctionnel!!

We phoned because the tv didn't work, it couldn't connect to the cable. We fixed it ourselves ,because we asked for another room ,but none was available and nobody could come help us. So we had to play with the connections and finally we got it after a while. The hair dryer, did not work!

Je trouvais l'endroit plaisant a mon arrivée. Bon accueil, chambre propre. J'ai déchanté lorsque mon voisin de chambre a décidé d'écouter un film jusqu'à 2h du matin. Non insonorisé. Le matin de mon départ, je voulais prendre ça relaxe jusqu'à 11h. La préposé au nettoyage a cogner a la porte pendant que j'étais dans les toilettes et a carrément entrer dans la chambre alors que je sortais des toilettes. Il etait 9h20. Si vous n'avez pas de voisins bruyant et que vous avisez que vous ne voulez pas etre dérangé avant 11h, je conseillerais quand même. Car très propre

Good stay. Only downside was major roadwork on the boulevard in front of the hotel. Not the property's fault, but annoying enough to confuse my GPS. Front desk closes at 10pm.

I didn’t like the fact that, the cleaning lady opened my door before 8 am while I was still in bed. I paid until 11am, so why did she open my door without my consent, that early in the morning. It’s really hard to comprehend. Unacceptable… Period!!!

There is construction right behind the motel, which woke us up at 6am every morning. It sounded like the roof was going to be caving in. Also, even though I booked online and paid online through Expedia, the hotel fraudulently charged me for my stay (even though I explained to the staff member that I had already paid and shown proof). They refused to refund me for the double charge and after two full days of fighting with the hotel and Expedia, they eventually gave me a refund but reminded me that they were doing me a favor as I booked a non-refundable room and they will not be charging me a penalty. Long story short, they charged me for my room even though I showed them proof that I already paid and construction woke everyone up. Avoid this motel at all costs.

They doible charged me for the room. They said that the charge was canceled on their end, however, it still went through on my credit card. I have reached out multiple times to have it corrected and they have done nothing. I had previously stayed here before this and had no issues. But will never be coming back. Officially if I do not get my refund!

I booked this place due to the lower cost in comparison to other accommodations in Laval while also while maintaining good reviews. No regrets!! Great value here.. There’s a walking trail nearby, which is nice and many food establishments, a grocery store and athletic centre. Anything else is a bit of a hike in the heat but there’s several bus routes nearby with a subway to take you quickly to downtown Laval and Montreal! (Uber is quick to show up as well!) The room was nice and thankfully the AC worked great(and was on when I arrived!) as it was ‘feels like 42C’ for much of my trip. The check in indicates until 10pm, however you can still access the office and self check in if you get in late! Merci Motel Newstar!! 😊

Station de bus juste devant l’hôtel. Attention Laval est en zone B pour y accéder depuis le métro de Montréal. Literie ok. Peu de restaurants ouverts (dimanche matin) dans l’environ pour prendre le petit-déjeuner.

Overall was a nice stay. Very nice for the price but very far out of the city center. There is not very much to do around the hotel so be sure you do not need to eat befoew coming back to the hotel for the night.

I had to stay 1 night in the NewStar motel and didn't regret! The motel room was nice, very clean, and very cozy! The room looked modern, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The soap/ shampoo were provided. It was also nice to find a coffee maker in the room with coffee/tea pods provided. The staff was friendly and check-in/check out was fast!

We booked this place based on proximity to Place Bell and we were very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, upkeep and staff interactions. It is very reasonably priced and has everything you need in the room. Laval is definitely not the touristy side of Montreal, so we were a little surprised by the location (lack of amenities), but that really has nothing to do with the motel. We would book here again and recommend it to our friends.

I was very impressed with this hotel. Even though it was an older motel, it has been completely remodeled and modern looking. There was no gym or pool but it suited our needs fine. It was very reasonably priced and fairly close to stores and restaurants. This includes a St. Hubert and “La Belle Province” restaurants. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

Honestly really loved the stay and got to made memories. But only the first night was good from the next day some kind of fly bugs started coming all over inside the washroom and eventually even inside the room so we didn’t even use the washroom much from the second day. No microwave in rooms, there is microwaves and a vending machine for public use in the lobby/reception area. The TV in the room looks a fake LG tv lol, my and my girlfriend was so disappointed that we couldn’t watch the Mike Tyson VS Jake Paul fight on the start of our stay because the tv only has 4 channels and it’s all about news.
