Camera carina, pulita e spaziosa, bagno essenziale. Con tante prese. Mancavano lenzuola per due letti e asciugamani per due persone, ma ce li hanno forniti (abbiamo però dovuto fare i letti da soli). In più erano finite le chiavi (card elettroniche) quindi il ragazzo della reception ci ha aperto lui la camera.. . Noi siamo stati una sola notte, quindi siamo stati in camera solo per dormire, ma per portare i bagagli ci siamo dovuti alternare per non rimanere chiusi fuori... Forse stato un soggiorno di più giorni il disagio sarebbe stato certamente maggiore. In più la camera era al sesto piano, l'ascensore arriva solo al quinto, poi bisogna fare un piano di scale.

Good stay! Room came with towels and linens. The beds were what you'd expect from a hostel. We stayed during Oktoberfest, so it was a little rowdy. About a 15 min walk to the train station. Not too many food options nearby, but the lobby has vending machines. All day luggage storage is provided.

Busy building! Lots of guests coming and going. The staff will change your sheets unexpectedly so watch out for that. Amusingly there's a pizza vending machine in the parking lot but the hostel pizza is better.

The only reason I chose this place over 5km out of the city centre was for the guest kitchen and the guest laundry. The guest laundry was out of order. No explanation given. Tough luck. The guest kitchen was a closet in the dungeon basement with a hotplate, bar freezer, a pot and a frying pan. Plates and cutlery had to be requested from the reception. The fridge handnt been cleaned out in so long that several mystery bags had living organisms starting their own attempt at evolving sentient life. A bottle of ketchup and mayo had frozen the selves in the rear wall's ice sheet for future archeologists to muse over. When alerting the front desk the kitchen clearly hadn't been cleaned in months the were very apologetic and I was assured that they were immediately contacting the cleaning staff to take care of it. 2 days later nothing had changed and you could still smell the room from 20m away, through a fire door. This visit has reminded me of what I always knew. A&O is designed for tour groups and highschool class trips to come in, stay a night, charge micro transactions for everything, and get you out 1-2 nights later. Keep that in mind when booking. The hotel was otherwise clean and well kept. But the place is designed to nickle and dime you for every little extra. Despite the name, it is not a hostel, it is part of the new trend of Corporate Hostel/hotel. Hostels are a dying breed in Europe. I wish you the best of luck in finding one

Its a hostel...its affordable. The staff were friendly and helpful but over run by so many guests so you have to be patient. This hostel is next to 12 sifferent train tracks ao its very noisy...no fans or AC so if its hot plan on cold wet towels at night to help you sleep...the bar, the big screen, vending machines and pizza machine were great additions... there were many many teenagers here during our stay that we're very loud but we have our own teenagers and love kids so it was fine for us but if you don't like kids this would be a problem... I would stay here again next time I'm in Munich but I would make sure that my room did not face the train tracks!

Für eine Nacht OK aber längèr nicht. Leider ein Zimmer bekommen dass Richtung Eisenbahnschienen war. Daher sehr laut. Auserdem sind die Wände so dünn dass du jeden hörst, der im Flur unterwegs war. Was die Sauberkeit betrifft war dass Bett nicht Sauber sodass wir nochmal neue Bettwäsche geholt haben und die Dusche hatte auch schon Schimmel Flecken. Lud nicht zum Duschen ein. Um etwas positives los zu werden. Personal war sehr bemüht.

Die Ausstattung des Hostels ist völlig ausreichend. Leider war das ganze Hause einfach sehr ungepflegt und unhygienisch. Das gilt auch für den Frühstücksraum , Müll liegt auf dem Boden und die Reste der vorherigen Gäste auf den Tischen. Es war schwer eine einigermaßen akzeptabelen Tisch zu finden. Das Geschirr und Besteck war leider auch schmutzig. Am zweiten Tag unseres Aufenthaltes habe wir das Frühstück lieber ausfallen lassen und sind zum Bäcker gegangen.

Beim Bezug unseres Zimmers waren die Bettwäsche und Handtücher in 2 von 4 Betten zerwühlt. Anscheinend vergessen frisch zu beziehen! Wir bekamen zwar ein neues Zimmer, bei dem mussten wir die Betten jedoch noch selber beziehen! Nachts ist es sehr laut und ein Blinklicht verleiht einem die ganze Nacht Las Vegas-Feeling! Viele sehr junge Menschen in diesem Hotel, es wurden ständig Klopfstreiche gemacht! Keine Empfehlung von uns!

Wände beschmiert, Bettzeug und Fußboden mit Nagellack verdreckt, Heizkörperthermostat im bad mit Kaugummi verklebt. Reinigung war aber grundsätzlich gut, nur sollte man unbedingt streichen, es sah wirklich ekelhaft aus und halt diese Vandalismusschäden beseitigen. Dann kann diese einfache Unterkunft auch mit Preis-/Leistung überzeugen, die einfachen Matratzen sind tatsächlich recht komfortabel, es war ruhig und gut isoliert und die Rollos dichten gut gegen die Morgensonne ab. Kostenloses Parken war auf der Straße möglich, ist aber auch Glückssache. Wassertemperatur in der Dusche schwankte stark.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat uns bei allen Fragen weiterhelfen können. Beim Frühstück ist in meinen Augen für jeden etwas dabei, es gibt genug zur Auswahl. Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer, direkt an den Gleisen, sodass die Nacht wirklich unerträglich war, da ständig Züge vorbei gefahren sind und es somit sehr laut war. Auch die Betten waren nicht besonders praktisch, da die Matratze auf dem Gittergestell ständig verrutscht sind und somit eine relativ große Lücke zwischen den Matratzen war.

We didn’t sleep the two days we stayed and left a day early. The hotel is on the entry to the main train station. You can’t shut the window as there was no ventilation. Your given one small hand towel, beds are awful. Only positive is the breakfast staff was very friendly.

Small rooms, hot without a fan windows opened but would open toward the patio downstairs where people smoked and it would all come into the room, but without the open window it was hot in the room. Loud in the halls at night and the door kept rattling whenever someone down the hall would open their door. Kept us ipyat night. Otherwise it was a convenient location for travel

Ein typisches Jugendhostel. Wie fühlten uns aber auch als Familie sehr wohl. Die Bahn war etwas lauf. War aber mit geschlossenem Fenster ok. Zimmer sind nicht gross aber nur zum schlafen ok.

Die Zimmer waren sehr klein und für vier Personen konnte man sich kaum im Raum bewegen. Ein paar Betten hatten keine Bettwäsche und die anderen waren etwas zerrissen. Handtücher gibt es nur sehr kleine. Lobby ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit einem Billardtisch und viele Getränkeautomaten aber jeder kann in die Lobby rein spazieren wie er oder sie möchte. Öfter kamen irgendwelche Junkies, die dann auf der Couch in der Lobby geschlafen haben.

I recommend getting the rooms in the front side of the building, it is quieter. The back side of the building are facing the train rails. It’s very noisy and you cannot sleep with close windows because of the heat in the summer. Unfortunately they don’t have AC. But you can borrow a fan from the reception. Otherwise the room is great and nothing else we can complain.

Einchecken war ein graus. Ewige Wartezeiten und dann noch inkompetentes Personal. Eine Änderung der Rechnungsadresse wurde mit den Worten "können Sie später kommen, wir sind gerade beschäftigt" abgetan. Als ich dann später gekommen bin, war die Änderung nicht mehr möglich, da die Rechnung intern schon verbucht war. Bei der Parkkarte gab es Probleme, dass die Schranke nicht darauf reagiert hat. Musste dann nochmals zur Rezeption und die Karte freischalten lassen. Allgemein war es im Hostel sehr laut, wobei das bei einem Hostel ja relativ normal ist. Würde aber dort nicht nochmal unterkommen wollen. Matrazen sind nicht wirklich bequem und bei der Dusche kommt entweder kaltes oder brühendes Wasser heraus und der Wasserdruck lässt auch zu Wünschen übrig. Ansonsten war das Zimmer ganz ok von der Ausstattung.

The service is terrible. They are over charging tourists, pure scam. Its 7 euros for 50cl beer, yet they charge 8 and don't tell customers it is a 1 euro deposit for a plastic glass. I stayed at a&o vienna and the staff and service was fantastic....if this is a franchise, your team at Munich Liam are really letting the brand down....extremely disappointing!

Title: Disappointing Experience at a&o München Laim We stayed for one night and were quite disappointed. Our twin room wasn’t ready even an hour after the official check-in time. After requesting assistance, we were given another room, but conditions were the same. Confusingly, the elevator had an "out of order" sign but was actually working. As a goodwill gesture, we were offered one coffee in the morning — but when I asked for a second one for my travel companion, they refused. Poor service overall and not a pleasant stay.

This is my second time staying here and I have to say, a lot has changed and not for better. Rooms are good, we had a private room and it was clean. The noise was manageable, however, at around 4 am a guy kept banging on the door of the dormitories opposite to us because he had "forgotten his key". One of us talked to the guy and told him to go to the reception to fix this issue but the guy wouldn't listen. Which brings me to a bigger concern... How is it that one can enter a building and go into any floor without ever needing a key??. major safety concern here! But the worst thing wasn't this incident with the guy. Upon my arrival, the check- in machines were not working properly. After communicating this to the staff, a very rude guy insisted saying that it was "the way to check in". The Expedia code the one that begins with 7 and the one that the "machine asked for" wasn't working, and the guy handed a "new code" to us... I keep asking myself, if the process doesn't work with the machine, shouldn't the staff then do the process manually?? I'm totally disappointed in the check-in experience at the A&O Hostels. First in Berlin and now here at Laim in Munich. That being said, the guy that processed our check out was totally fine. Since it's more of a lottery regarding professional and competent staff I'm not sure if I would stay here again.

Dieses Personal in dem Hostel war katastrophal. Wir sind mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Kleinkindern angereist. Beim Check in wurde man garnicht wahrgenommen vom Personal diese schauten sich irgendwelche Videos am Handy an. Dann wurde uns weder erklärt wo das Zimmer ist noch wo es Frühstück gibt. Man musste alles alleine erfragen. Also das war unnormal. Würde ich niemals weiterempfehlen

En relación calidad y precio está bien solo que el trasporte público es un poco complicado. Toca caminar aproximadamente 10 min para coger bus o metro. A la hora de reservar fíjese bien cuál hotel es ya que ellos tienen varias cedes y se parecen los nombres, nosotros reservamos pensando que era el que estaba al lado de la estación central y resulta que no fue así. El que reservamos era el a&o Munchen Laim-hostel

Good stay! Room came with towels and linens. The beds were what you'd expect from a hostel. We stayed during Oktoberfest, so it was a little rowdy. About a 15 min walk to the train station. Not too many food options nearby, but the lobby has vending machines. All day luggage storage is provided.

Die Ausstattung des Hostels ist völlig ausreichend. Leider war das ganze Hause einfach sehr ungepflegt und unhygienisch. Das gilt auch für den Frühstücksraum , Müll liegt auf dem Boden und die Reste der vorherigen Gäste auf den Tischen. Es war schwer eine einigermaßen akzeptabelen Tisch zu finden. Das Geschirr und Besteck war leider auch schmutzig. Am zweiten Tag unseres Aufenthaltes habe wir das Frühstück lieber ausfallen lassen und sind zum Bäcker gegangen.

Nous avions une chambre familiale, de faible surface. C'est suffisant quand on est la journée dehors, mais petit si il faut rester dedans. Le buffet est de type continental et complet, mais sans vienoiserie ni pâtisserie. Il faut réserver le parking, nous ne savions pas, quand il est plein, il faut chercher des places dans la rue. Nous y retournerons quand même dans cet hôtel.

Der Check-In an der Rezeption dauerte sehr lange, was daran lag, das ich das Registrierungsformular in Papierform ausfüllte. Nach dem Ausfüllen fühlte sich der Mitarbeiter nicht mehr für mich zuständig und ich wartete, bis der zweite Mitarbeiter den Eincheckprozess beendete, indem er mir meine Zimmerkarten aushändigte. Das Familienzimmer war (überraschend) groß und das angebotene Frühstück sehr reichhaltig.

Pertty good for the price. Quite loud on weekend. Very good helpfull staff especially Kixie sorry if I spell her name wrong. The breakfast at 11 euro is a great starting point for the day.
