Hyatt Place Phoenix/Downtown

This hotel has horrible parking options especially if it’s other than ordinary weather.

Central location. In easy walking distance from Chase Field and footprint arena. Their parking situation is a bit off a mess though. I think they need more attendees because when there is a couple people wanting their cars it course take 30min to get your car.

Great location in downtown Phoenix, especially when attending a concert at AZ Financial Theater. Small, but comfortable rooms. The bed and pillows were perfect. Valet parking was appreciated considering the heat, but it was a bit expensive, and it took about 20 minutes to retrieve our car as the garage is a half mile away. I checked my car location in the morning via my app and noticed my car was left unlocked all night, so I'm not happy about that.

The restaurant in the hotel, Adams Table, seriously, the BEST french fries I've ever had!!! Don't believe me? Try for yourself!

Good downtown hotel to stay in Phoenix, newer and very friendly and good customer service, my reason for 4 out of 5 stars was a poor experience valeting my vehicle, 45 minutes ( no kidding) to retrieve my vehicle and numerous people getting vehicles far behind me, I really don’t sweat the small things but absolutely no ownership in their shortcomings, I still recommend this location, thank you.

Nice location. Close to all the downtown venues. Rooms, staff and restaurants in the motel were nice! Only issue is there is no parking. You must park down the road and walk in 110°+ or pay for valet. We paid.

the staff was nice and went out of their way to help but the facility was in need of repairs and updating - molding around the bathroom was broke off, floors were not clean

Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The 24 hour market is a nice feature!

We stayed four notes and they only came to clean room one night only after we asked them. Their excuse was they only clean every two days. That’s not acceptable for it being over $300 a night.

The room was nice and all the issue was that the bedding, pillows and towels had a bad smell. Especially everything on the bed smelled like sweat or something like that. I had to place a shirt over the pillow in order to tolerate laying on it. Didn’t even use the covers because they were also smelly. I didn’t say anything because when I noticed it was late (went to a concert). I’ve stayed at two other Hyatts in the phoenix area and this was by far the worst. Honestly would not stay here again. Staff was friendly, but that’s about it.

The room was spotless, as always! The front desk and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely place to stay! Love the convenience of the location, as we can walk to the various locations that brought us to Phoenix.

Housekeeping accidentally left my door ajar all day once. I reported it to the front desk but they didn’t do anything about it (to my knowledge).

Not the greatest. Upon arrival the staff was friendly enough but the stench of the carpet on our floor was horrific. Smelled like wet dog or like a 20 year old carpet was cleaned with baby soap. Our room smelled like the sheets hadn’t been changed and the smell of oily hair and unwashed/used and old sheets lingered. The repair job on the bathroom door was coming apart. I had to hold my breath on walk to my vehicle due to the “pet area” stench. It may have been a top tier back in the day but it definitely could use a quick facelift. I mean it with all respect but it wasn’t a pleasant experience

Do not bother paying extra to reserve the city view as you’ll end up with a view of a solid building and be told that’s your city view. I guess that’s true.

The hotel was really good. But the room were small

Kind of small but comfortable. Overall very good.

Room was clean & fairly comfortable but very small. Hard to move around bed and when the couch is out almost impossible to get around in the room and we are not that large. Staff was not that hospitable from the valet parking, front desk & lounge. They acted like they didn’t want to be there and instead of communicating to guests we had to pull information out of them.

Noisy inside and out. I slept fine with my earplugs. My wife, without, did not.

Great location. Spacious and nice rooms and beds. Breakfast was great. Fridge did not work very well and the heat/AC was a little difficult to control.

This place is good, room was pretty small and had a lot of noisy neighbors at night.

No microwave. Comfortable bed, coffee maker, large shower. Noise from other rooms,not well insulated.

Desk staff were nice, but seemed very new to their positions. Some of the typical steps in check in were overlooked: stating where room and where elevators were located. Instructions to find parking garage were missing key details to locate the entry in a timely manner. Room appeared clean, but upon further inspection it was found that a filthy and stained coverlet was not replaced, but simply hidden by clean(er) sheets and rotated so the staining was hidden by the foot of the bed. When this was politely brought to the front desk’s attention at check out the young lady responded “I’m sorry. We will make sure that is taken care of for the next guest”. No accommodation was being made for our experience. Also, we were double charged for parking: by Hyatt front desk and from parking garage. We followed instructions on how to park and even exited the premises before check out time. When called about this double billing Hyatt staff were responsive and removed their charge to my card.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. They honored all my requests (I was allowed an early check-in and they put me on the top floor). Everyone was so polite and made me feel very welcome.

We visited Phoenix to celebrate our anniversary and attend an event that was going on in downtown, this hotel was a part of that event and an excellent location for walking around the area. Unfortunately, despite the hotels many highlights, the staff was absolutely not one of them and consistently left us baffled at their lack of professionalism and general attitude. Upon checking in we were not acknowledged until we made a point to gain their attention and there were other staff gossiping amongst themselves as we checked in with one of the staff. After we got our room (which was a great room) we came back downstairs to get a drink at the bar as part of starting the event we were attending and the staff again made us feel like we were inconveniencing them using their facility. We left the hotel to continue on in the event and found getting around town on foot to be very walkable and with a lot to offer for entertainment. At the end of the day when we arrived back at the hotel, we tried to get a nightcap to cheers our anniversary only to find the restaurant bar staff (different people than earlier) again sharply dismiss us saying the “kitchen was closing in 30 min” with an unprompted attitude then realizing we were only there for a glass of wine. We got the two glasses and headed to the room. While I would say this location and its condition were of high quality, the manner we were treated by staff completely soured the whole experience. Service makes a difference!

We loved the hotel but the service was terrible the only ones who did a great job and were very cordial are the parking attendants excellent job. Check in was terrible the person at the check in desk was rude and didn’t even look at us no smile or a welcome

Front desk employees were beyond helpful & nice!

Everyone was very nice and we could walk to everything we needed. The self parking at the parking garage was a little hard to figure out. The QR code didn't scan but the attendant was able to help. Your general manager Danielle Klus took our picture and emailed it to us because my phone was overheated. She was so nice!!! We will stay with you again!

Employees just make me feel unwelcome, all of them had bad attitude, specially valet crew! I’ve always love to stay at hayatt in Tempe AZ, totally different attitude and atmosphere. I know I’m just another customer but this is my first and last time at this place.

Great convenient location to the Phoenix Convention Center and the Sky Harbor Airport!! I would recommend the hotel, and would consider staying there in the future.

Stayed for event at convention center, walkable to there with lots of restaurants around.

The hotel itself is nice and clean. It’s quiet and has respectful staff. I didn’t like that the parking wasn’t within the hotel it was about a block or two down and the valet drop off is very reduced parking space right by the road. Also wouldn’t recommend to be walking out at night around the area!

Great location for walking to chase field

The property is clean, quiet, and conveniently located with easy access to public transportation. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and various activities available in the area.

Property was overall nice considering the area and f downtown where there are quite a bit of homeless. Paid parking was a block away and a bit expensive considering.

This is the second time staying at the downtown Phoenix location to go to a concert at Arizona Financial Theater. The location is perfect to walk to the venue. Hotel and restaurant are great!! Friendly and helpful staff!! We will definitely stay again!!

Clean, modern room in downtown which worked well for our one night stay before a flight. Didn't explore area at all. Breakfast was a big step above standard hotel continental breakfasts.

The place is ok. Nothing fancy. The breakfast is $11 per person and it honestly should be free because it’s mediocre.

We overnighted for an event near by. We experienced good food from the bar and a very typical breakfast spread. Had hoped the breakfast would have been a little more.

The service in the restaurant was terrible!

I liked the location of the property. The bar area was also nice and drinks were refeshing. I tried the mocktails and cocktails both really good. I did not like the pillows. They were to soft and my head sank into them. An option for firmer pillows would be awesome.

Very convenient to the Convention Centre. We found several great restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent value
