Only thing I wasn’t happy about was parking. The public lot where guests have to pay to park fills up in the evening and there was no parking Otherwise, great hotel, great staff, clean, cool speakeasy, cool lobby bar. I would stay again.

This is exactly what I needed— a place to sleep and clean up. There was no shower curtain or door so things got a little wet. The complimentary sangria during happy hour was an unexpected treat, and the price for the parking lot across the street was extremely reasonable. And it was only a 15min walk to Deep Ellum!

Nice place, has a bar. Located close to a decent section of Dallas. Parking accross the street was very cheap for the night. Small room is fine. Did not like that i could not find a cup and so was very thirsty all night.

I was very pleased with my stay at Soca Micro Hotel. The hotel is small and simple, but perfect if you’re just looking for a comfortable place to stay for a night or two without needing extra amenities like a pool or fitness center. My car got broken into the night I stayed there from the parking lot adjacent to hotel. They told me there was nothing they could do because they didn’t have cameras on the side of the building. So very unsafe location and no cameras to help feel safe.

Friendly staff. Cool perks such as “rock paper scissors your bartender for x% off drinks” lol and they have different perks on different days. Even ask the 8 ball. It was such a fun place to stay. Location was even better. I like this side of downtown Dallas. About a 10 min walk from the deep ellum.

Fun little hotel right in downtown Dallas. Room was clean, no frills, no refrigerator. Great shower and Japanese style toilet/bidet. The hotel has no parking, so you have to pay for a spot across the street. About $11/ day.

The hotel was nice, quiet and room was very clean. I enjoyed the nightlife around the area with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The farmers market is nearby and are parks. Also, the train station is 10 minutes away for exploring the outer parts of the city. Overall, a great stay.

My sister and I spent three nights staying at the SOVA hotel. We knew the rooms were small but weren't aware they were windowless. When we arrived, our room was dirty. There was hair on and inside the bed and the floors hadn't been vacuumed. It was late and we were too tired to make a fuss, so tidied and went to sleep. The next morning, we requested the room be cleaned when we left the hotel at 9am to sightsee. We returned at 4:00pm and saw the room hadn't been cleaned. The housekeeper arrived at 5:10pm and we asked her to come back in 30 mins, as we were going out for dinner (she was happy to do so). We asked reception to let the housekeeper know we had left at 5:30pm, but were told she'd left for the day. Naturally, we were confused, and they asked us if we wished to change rooms, which we did. The second room was tidier, but the overall hotel is not one I would recommend. There were leaks when it rained, the beds were uncomfortable and upon returning home, my sister was covered in bites from suspected bedbugs. Aside from it's location and one receptionist who was helpful, there's nothing else going for this place.

You check in at the bar the person there was very nice. It was all downhill from there. I expected the room to be small, and it was but it was dingy, with hairs on the bathroom floor it didn’t seem like it had been cleaned. The room is windowless and the lights are bright leds. I left right away and they refused the refund request from Hotels.com, even though I didn’t stay. I had to find last-minute alternative accommodation. I’m disappointed in the property, their customer service and Hotels.com lack of support in getting me a refund. I travel a lot and have never had an experience like this and this is my first 1 star review.

So this is one of those you get what you pay for kinda places... Yes, I know there were no extra amenities and the rooms were compact, I am fine with that. The room was filthy with stained sheets and old towels. You could hear anything and everything. It was the kinda place where you went out all night and came back at 2 am drunk and loud. That was every night. I had no issues with the staff, more so the other people there. 5 Stairs if you need a place to crash after having a long night out.

it's a neat hotel but the rooms are FILLED with small LED lights so it never gets dark. the doors are roughly hollow so you will hear everyone who steps into the hallway. they will charge you for a late check out but also wake you up several times before check out. if you like waking up very early it's a cute hotel, if you would like to sleep in at all you could probably get better rest in a car.

OK for 1 person, probably not 2 (my wife and I got in each other's space -- and the bed doesn't allow for entrance on both sides. No window and a small AC unit (near the ceiling) that makes a fair amount of noise. 1 set of towels and well-used pillows. Very little storage space - no suitcase rack and no drawers. 4 or 5 open shelves (about 5" in depth). Internet TV only (lots of channels though). Paid parking (about $11/day). No refrigerator. Lots of young people -- and the "hidden" speakeasy (3rd floor where we were) blares music and noise till after 11pm on the weekend. Bar in the lobby too. Paid coffee in the morning (about $4). Nice and clean, staff were responsive -- great for a simple quick stay -- not for several days.

I was unsure of what to expect from a "micro hotel" but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very small (similar to rooms in NYC), but big enough for one person. I can't imagine two people being able to negotiate the room with the very limited walking space. Considering the length of time I stayed, I really needed a dresser for clothes storage, a full length mirror and surface space for the things I needed each day. It was very difficult to live out of two suitcases with nowhere to open them. The compact nature of the room meant there was steam in the entire room after a shower. Also the shower head high on the ceiling and no shower door meant water all over the bathroom floor. Definitely a design flaw. The bidet was an amazing and unexpected addition. I would definitely consider Sova for a short-term stay in the future if I am traveling alone. It was very clean and the staff was always very helpful and friendly. The Dallas location was near several restaurants, has self-parking for $10/day across the street and was walking distance to the convention center (less than a mile). Despite the things mentioned above, I enjoyed my stay.

AC does not work. The morning staff was not kind. The manager, Andria. Absolutely horrible. I travel a lot to this area and will never book here again because of her. Change your staff… and trust me you will be booked! Customer service goes along way. The young lady that had the evening shift…. AMAZING. I won’t even go into details about Andria…. But she needs customer service training, badly.

I wanted to do some things that I have not done in a long time. I wanted to stay in a place nearby. I am in a wheelchair so some places are not bad but unable to accommodate the chair. I was put in a room with plenty of space and a roll in shower. James and Grant were helpful and knowledgeable. They made my stay Stress free and very enjoyable . I had clean towels and bed linen. I was on the first floor and loved it. Will tell all the people I know to visit. I will visit again.

The staff were very nice and helpful- we had issues with parking and they sorted it for us. Room was very clean and comfortable. Drinks at bar were fairly priced.

You check in at the bar the person there was very nice. It was all downhill from there. I expected the room to be small, and it was but it was dingy, with hairs on the bathroom floor it didn’t seem like it had been cleaned. The room is windowless and the lights are bright leds. I left right away and they refused the refund request from Hotels.com, even though I didn’t stay. I had to find last-minute alternative accommodation. I’m disappointed in the property, their customer service and Hotels.com lack of support in getting me a refund. I travel a lot and have never had an experience like this and this is my first 1 star review.

It was a perfect cute place to stay at. It was close to everything we did not have to drive a car anywhere. Yes there’s no parking you have to pay for it. It’s only $11 .

The hotel was nice, quiet and room was very clean. I enjoyed the nightlife around the area with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The farmers market is nearby and are parks. Also, the train station is 10 minutes away for exploring the outer parts of the city. Overall, a great stay.

A bed and a complete bathroom was all I needed. Really simple and clean. Area is kind of sketchy because it’s at the end of downtown. Parking is cheap, $11 across the street.

My car got broken into the night I stayed there from the parking lot adjacent to hotel. They told me there was nothing they could do because they didn’t have cameras on the side of the building. So very unsafe location and no cameras to help feel safe.

What a wonderful concept. I will take lower rates, smaller rooms, super amenities, a warm reception, clean rooms, and great service all day long over big rooms. If you are in a city like Dallas, why do you want to spend your time in the hotel room? When I returned to the room, I felt perfect accommodations. As a woman business traveler, it is nice to feel safe, and this location was terrific. There is a super restaurant across the street too. I wish this concept would become a trend in other cities. Thank you for having me!

Nice place, has a bar. Located close to a decent section of Dallas. Parking accross the street was very cheap for the night. Small room is fine. Did not like that i could not find a cup and so was very thirsty all night.

It was a nice clean boutique hotel. They made great drinks too. My only issue was not having a fridge in my room and not being able to do early check at a decent time. I got to the hotel at 8am and couldn’t check in until noon. No room service but DoorDash was efficient for this trip. The hotel is close to a lot of nightlife in Deep Ellum. The staff was so nice! I would stay here again.

Fun place! The staff is super nice and helpful. I stayed here on a Thursday and I was the only one there for Sangria hour and the bar was practically empty at night (probably because it was a Thursday but I was still hoping to meet a couple more people). The hotel definitely gives off the feel of an upper scale European hostel. Walls are thin but beds and showers extremely comfortable. There's a little area with a ton of restaurants/ bars about a 10 minutes walk away.

The location was convenient and the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel bar is open till 2am. Despite not having refrigerators in the rooms, the staff can hold items in their refrigerators in the lobby. They even offered to reheat my food. Shower did not have a door so the bathroom floor would get soaked during a shower.

Friendly staff. Cool perks such as “rock paper scissors your bartender for x% off drinks” lol and they have different perks on different days. Even ask the 8 ball. It was such a fun place to stay. Location was even better. I like this side of downtown Dallas. About a 10 min walk from the deep ellum.

Good location for downtown activities, within walking distance of Dallas Farmers Market. Convenient and good price for one night stay and getting to a flight at Love Field in the morning, but wouldn't want to stay in the room any longer because of minimal amenities. Bed comfort was average. Weirdest thing was no cups in the room and extremely shallow sink that didn't allow you to fit a water bottle under the faucet. Also no ready-to-go coffee in the am, needed to wait for them to make a pour over.

We were happy with our stay. The rooms are advertised as small and they are. But we were there to see the sights so it was perfect for the cost. The bed was comfortable and the showers were hot. Plenty of towels. The staff at the front desk were all happy to help with anything. I would stay again.

I really liked the property and location. The room was perfect. I don't necessarily know if my 6ft tall, 14 size feet husband would've fit between the toilet and the wall though, understandable with it being a micro hotel - just something to consider.
