Hyatt Place St Augustine Vilano Beach

Property was in a great location, Publix is located across the street with a few places to eat nearby. There’s also a coffee shop across the street incase you’re looking for coffee and pastries. Parking was convenient(only valet) and they have a courtesy shuttle that will drop you off at the beach/pier. Rooftop bar was nice and their breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly and super helpful with the exception of check out. She was extremely rude and snapped at me when I asked her a question. I get we all have bad days but no need to be rude to guests. Other than that it was a wonderful stay and will definitely return!

Awesome hotel in a great location. Allowed us to check in early. Greeted by valet with a smile. From then on, the stay had been perfect. Great pool!!!!

Hotel and room was Average, Air Conditioner was very noisy making for difficult sleep. Also be advised they only have Valet parking so budget another $25 a day for this feature.

We chose your hotel because of the rooftop bar. Unfortunately it was closed 2/3 nights we stayed. We were very disappointed.

We love the golf cart or 2 min walk to the beach. It is also very convenient to have Publix, cafes, beach shops across the street! Will stay here again and again.

Had a great experience, from the Valet Parking Service, the complimentary orange water infused and coffee accesible at all times... I loved how clean the hotel was, the quiet atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. Publix is right across the street and beach is just 5 min away walking distance. Will definitely stay here again!

You get charged for literally anything, including parking

It was a lovely surprise to find in the St. Augustine area. The beach is about a2 block walk and was not too crowded. Beware that the only parking option is valet.

Everything was perfect from the valet service to the room service ladies speaking in the hallway. Every employee was super nice and very helpful!! Would highly recommend to anyone. Plus, everything was super clean, the restaurant and rooftop bar was top notch! No need to leave the hotel site everything you need was on site even live music at night for entertainment.

I don't like the mandatory $25 per day parking fee. I don't like people driving my car and I also don't like paying for a service with no exceptions.

Our balcony was very dirty with dust from construction on the lot next door. Our view was not nice. The room and hotel were very nice.

The property was beautiful and very well maintained. It was nice to see that the design of the hotel as well as the decor kept with the Old Florida and Art Deco theme of Vilano Beach. The front desk staff, valets and housekeeping were all super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and very nice. Great location within a short walking distance to the beach and pier. They hotel offered a shuttle to the beach and pier as well. There is a grocery store and great coffee shop across the street, and also a few good restaurants within walking distance. Will definitely stay here again.

Bed was very comfortable. Property was ok overall but there was a VERY strong nasty chemical smell in the hallway the entire time.

Hotel was nice. Friendly staff willing to help with recommendations. Have lots of suggestions and always helpful. Breakfast was so-so. A nice touch was free bakery cookies in lobby for 4th of July. Because of holiday week it was packed with families...busy so pool and breakfast were packed. Also valet parking which is required ($25/night!) was slow in retrieving cars even when using electronic system to request car we would end up waiting 10-20 minutes or more for car. They needed more attendants at high peak time like morning checkout. We found they sweep the wood floors but do not mop. When we checked in and moved around our room we noted our feet bottoms were getting dirty (barefoot). We used wet wipes to wipe floors and there came back filthy. We noticed their cleaning carts only have cloth swiffer type cleaners and sticky lint type floor rollers, no mops. The room was great otherwise. Huge room with so much space. Loved the closet space and the couch sitting area. Our balcony had a great view of the ocean . Publix is across street so handy for food or supplies. Hotel offered large family sized golf cart shuttle to beach and pier. (Villano Beach only) It is convenient hotel for visiting St. Augustine. There is also a beach shuttle through Trolley company that also goes to town. We drove to town and parked at the main trolley lot for free each day and used trolley to traverse town. It is hop on/off. Worth the $$. Parking in town costs $$$.

Location is great and property is in a very convenient location to the Publix across the street. My husband and daughter were very turned off by the smell of pets in the hallway. The carpet needs to be removed and regular flooring should be put down if you are going to allow pets. Also I was surprised by the $75 pet fee when I checked in as this was not mention on the Expedia listing. If you stay longer than 3 days it’s a $100 fee and another $100 cleaning fee on top of your pet fee. Please mention this as you do the $25 daily resort fee that covers the valet parking. Pool was nothing fancy but it’s nice that they had one. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms were very clean.

Hallways smelled

Absolutely beautiful hotel with huge rooms high ceilings and very comfortable beds and mattresses. The only thing we found that's not worth being money is the balcony that they offer that does not have any good views could be easily skipped for just no balcony option

The hotel was fine. It was clean and the veds were comfortable. You have to valet park. It lacks the amenities that would make it 5 stars. The bathroom had only the basics. Not even a makeup mirror.

Convenient walk to the beach. We chose a 3rd floor suite for the balcony and pool view, which were nice. Unfortunately the rooftop restaurant was above us and until around 10:30 p.m. we could hear chairs being dragged on the floor and the music.

Overall property was amazing and 10/10 would stay again. The only thing that stunk was their WiFi was in and out and wasn’t very efficient, but I remember them saying they were doing some upgrade to their system so maybe that affected it? Other than that loved their was guest laundry on site, walkable piers, and walkable restaurants also to Publix.

Great location close to the beach. Although I’ll be honest we upgraded to balcony and caution because the AC blows hot air out that vent and is loud so made it not enjoyable at all.

I'll start with my complaints then end w/the good elements. I wasn't wild about the required $25/day valet parking fee. The air conditioning units in the rooms are very loud. I actually had to change my room at 11:45PM so I could sleep. The second room still had a loud unit, but it wasn't quite as bad as the first. There is also a lack of sound proofing material in the walls because I could feel a pulsing vibration coming up through the floors when I laid down, and there was a consistent hum emanating from the walls that made sleep very challenging. I had to "buffer" my ears w/every pillow available to get about two hours of sleep my first night there and made a drug store stop the next day for melatonin for my second night. This property does look great with its Art Deco vibe. The rooms are very spacious, and the blinds keep out most morning light if you like sleeping late. Michaels' has yummy food and fantastic wine offerings, so I do recommend staying here if you aren't sensitive like I am and can sleep anywhere.

This to me is one of the more Premier spots of STA beach! The moment you walk in you feel welcomed! The staff is absolutely stupendous! This is the Second time ive stayed here and plan on many more trips to this hotel! Luxurious without casa monica style money! The rooms are super roomy! Amazing bathrooms (I will say as a personal preference the water pressure for the shower is kinda lousy but again thats just a personal gripe.) The beds omg.... the beds are just amazing! Very nice amenities, the hotel staff go above an beyond, the vallet are super awesome people who are quick and take alot of pride in what they do! I implore you if you want and amazing stay please please give this hotel a try! Its a must!!!!!

My rooms AC was broken, they put a roll around ac in the room that was kinda loud so had to shut it off to sleep. But then got too hot so had to cut it back on. So played the up and down game most the night to keep my daughter comfortable.

We choose this property whenever we visit our son. It's so clean and convenient to the beach, groceries, beachwear, and dining options. John and Angelica are wonderful and welcoming. Keegan is outstanding in the valet area (so are all the others). The walk to Vilano beach is short and the beach is clean and just fabulous. We love this property!

My family and I spent 3 nights/4 days here, and the visit was a mix of good and bad. What we loved: Front‑desk service: John (evening shift) was outstanding from the moment we checked in. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help, he truly made us feel welcome and set a high bar for the stay. He really was fantastic. What needs work: Housekeeping: On our last full day, our room was skipped entirely even though we’d been out well before the end of the cleaning shift. After a long day out, coming back to an unmade room without towels was frustrating. We did let the front desk know and since it was our last night, we just accepted it and asked for extra towels. Smoking policy enforcement: At 11 p.m. the night before we left and again starting at 7:30 a.m., guests in the room next door were smoking. The smell drifted through our vents and woke us up. We reported the issue three separate times, but nothing changed. Despite multiple complaints, there was no remedy offered, so we packed up and left. We ended our vacation feeling exhausted. Bottom line: The hotel has real potential thanks to team members like John, but inconsistent housekeeping and lack of response to serious guest concerns overshadowed the positives. I hope management tightens its non‑smoking enforcement and improves guest‑care follow‑up.

The Hotel was fine for the most part however there was one front office staff person who was rude and unwilling to help our group with a special request. We were very accommodating and exceptionally nice to her and she was continually dismissive and rude.

These people steal your money right in front of you. We have a small pug who is a service animal for my son who is super allergic. The day we checked in, the person at the front desk told us they wouldn't charge us anything because our dog was a service animal and that we wouldn't have to pay any fees. Three days after we left I see two charges on our card $79 for the three days of parking and $111 for pet cleaning service. When I called to claim the money for the cleaning fee they told me that my dog ​​was not a service animal and that we had left a mess in the room because of the dog. When I am 100% sure that we did not leave any kind of mess in that room. We left the room cleaner than we received it. They were sorry but they could not give us our money back. I feel like they are stealing my money right in front of me. My dog ​​​​is a service animal. I showed them proof the day I checked in and they told me they would not charge me anything. Besides, our dog is super well trained and did not make any kind of mess in the hotel room. In the three days that we were there I put the sign on the door stating that they should not clean the room because the dog was inside and we cleaned it ourselves every day. And now when I call to claim my money back they tell me They say they can't return it without any valid reason. Anyway, be careful when they tell you they accept animal services without a fee. It's all a lie and they charge you anyway without consent.

Love the feel of the hotel, the room was inviting and large, the breakfast was tasty, the valet was patient as was Eduardo that helped with the trolley to the room. Unfortunately, the ladies at the front desk, afternoon checkin, evening, and checkout in the am were dismissive and curt. John was as much nicer. One can no in a kinder tone. The Hyatt was super nice overall!

Across the bridge from the historic district and a half a block away from the beach. This was the best of both worlds. It was a six minute drive to the historic district, so we took in all the sites. At night we enjoyed the onsite restaurant and rooftop bar with music. I walked down to the beach every morning to see the sunrise. Publix is right across the street. I would highly recommend!

Great location and hotel convenient but off the beaten path in the St Augustine area. Publix is across the street. The in hotel dining was really good and the wine list was exceptionally good. Excellent staff from valet to front desk to servers in the restaurant. Thank you one and all! Note: there is a $25 per day valet parking fee BUT it is worth every penny. They give some small guest perks to offset. Plus they have golf cart shuttle service to near by offerings. St Augustine Trolly picks up outside the front door of the hotel.

The room cleanliness is excellent, but the breakfast has little variety and is expensive considering that lack of variety.

This will definitely be a new favorite hotel for my family and I. The staff were very friendly, polite and made us feel welcome. The breakfast buffet was lovely and had lots if variety. The Vilano Beach area is beautiful and there are several restaurants and shops within walking distance as well.

OK, so first I understand $150 on hold for room essentials but then I was charged separate for valet parking. Also the rooftop restaurant best burger ever was very sad to know that that restaurant is not open every day of the week and if you think you’re getting a great breakfast for the cost, it would’ve been better to go to McDonald’s. Waffles were soggy eggs were like rubber fruit tasted like it was cut up in frozen and then unthaw bacon no flavor whatsoever reminded me of the bacon that was already cooked sausages. I swear to God they were the microwave brand not even real sausages. Coffee was not Starbucks at all one front desk woman girl was very rude. Expected that we knew everything when we asked for towels for the beach didn’t know you had to sign them out. Also, the pool is only 3 feet deep. One spot is 4 feet but pretty much 3 feet deep Has a restaurant in it but no room service. The valet parking that was very good. The golf cart to the beach and back that is great. Very nice. Gentleman was just really disheartening about the restaurant on the rooftop. The breakfast was unreal a waste of money. I should’ve canceled it the first day. I wish I can take that money off my bill it was bad and like I said the rooftop restaurant great food when it’s open.
