Incredibly friendly staff at check in. The room itself was awesome. Had a ton of character, but not in a bad way. Really felt comfortable. The bed, as well, incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was a pretty good size. And you're literally a block away from the Platzl. Ample parking beside the hotel if the limited parking spots are all taken. The breakfast was slightly above average as far as continental breakfasts go, with cold and hot items.

Friendly staff, great amenities, beautifully decorated. A few minutes walk from the main street. Included breakfast is very nice. The upstairs dormer rooms are a bit small. No elevator, so you have to carry luggage if you’re on the 2nd floor.

My husband and I went for a short get away. The front office staff was so kind and welcoming. The hotel had complementary e-bikes which I tried for the first time. We rode all the way to Cranbrook. It was a beautiful ride. In the evening we had dinner in the hotel restaurant. The food was superb. My husband had the duck with a yummy risotto, I had an appetizer of chicken mushroom wontons. The staff offered us blankets while we enjoyed our dinner on the patio. The desserts were yummy. The room was beautiful. We would absolutely come back!

Unique hotel in the heart of Kimberley. Great on site amenities (fabulous continental breakfast, 24/7 complimentary refreshments, indoor and outdoor seating areas and outdoor sauna). Plus so close to all shops, pubs and restaurants. Loved our stay !!!

I was so impressed. First no extra charge for my pooch! So appreciate this as I’m aware of the potential extra for having to clean after a pet but it was so nice not to have to pay extra. All the added extras like coffee, tea, juice, bubbly water, cookies and granola bars available all the time. Ample places to sit and be cozy outside the room. The complimentary barrel sauna! The expansive delicious breakfast!! The streaming services! I haven’t stayed in an accommodation this well appointed in such a long time. Staff was helpful and friendly. The locally appointed soaps, love it. I’ll be back and I’ll be telling everyone!! Asa former Kimberley resident I was so happy to have such a great experience in a stay at the Inn! Thanks for the good work and intention to comfort, beauty and pleasure!!

This place is a great location and it was surprisingly quiet in the rooms which was great. It may be best to advise when the anointed wine bar is closed for a private event and that most rooms are on the 2nd floor without an elevator. Not the best for bad knees Otherwise a good comfortable stay and we would go back.

The bathroom could have been cleaner… there was hair in the sink & tub on my two (separate) night stays. The dead bolt on room 206 was broken. The main floor & stairs carpets are worn.

Second time we stayed there. Wasn’t as good as the first as our room wasn’t cleaned well when we got there. Some renovations in the wine bar were a little loud at times. Otherwise a pleasant stay and comfortable.

Absolutely amazing experience at the Larix from start to finish. The property & common areas are gorgeous, comfortable & relaxing. We loved the sauna & firepit. All the little extras: breakfast, coffee/snack bar & local soaps/body care products really make this place special. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. Our room was cozy & clean & we really appreciated the pet friendly atmosphere.

This is one of the cutest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are well-equipped and clean, and the ambiance of the common areas is so charming. It’s right next to the little downtown area of Kimberley for shopping and restaurants. 10/10

Our recent stay exceeded our expectations. Welcoming staff room was spotless breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend The Larix Hotel and we will definitely stay again next visit to Kimberley. Felt like a home away from home. Check in and check out were exceptionally easy.

A good stay in a neat, all be it quirky little hotel. Lots of amenities from an outside firepit, inside spaces to read and all day coffee. Comfortable bed and very clean with an excellent shower. Rooms are not large but I only managed to hit my head once on the dormer. No network TV so was forced to see a playoff game in a local pub so I survived…Also no elevator but as an Otagenerian (sp?) I would stay there again.

the AC unit blasted all night kicking on and off every 10 minutes which was annoying in itself. The black out blinds could not be blacked out because the AC had to run out the window which left a foot gap between the blind and window, when the AC unit wasn’t blasting away the lobby music was bumping all night. The staff were very nice, check in was easy. Rooms are on the smaller side, great location clean

The 105 room AC is crazy noisy. Needs changing as it’s right beside the very comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast and common lounging areas. A cool remake of former industrial staff housing.

This is a great property in a refurbished older building executed with noticeable care and an eye for details. I want to give it a 5, but can’t. 5 challenges of the stay: noisy. Both nights. Noise from the front desk, from the ‘living room’ below us, and from a garage property on the back street. The walls are thin. We were in 204. The lack of closet in the room The tub is dangerously slippery when you use body wash. The body wash smells great though. Since there is no daily room servicing, you need more than the 2 bath towels if you wash your hair like I do The room was quite small without a place to sit 5 things Larix is exceptional on: The warmth of the welcome and friendliness of the staff The bed. Very comfortable! The complementary snack bar. 2 nights and 5 big cookies… I was developing a ‘habit’ The gracious complimentary continental breakfast in the stunning breakfast room The decor and cleanliness We would stay again.

Kimberley is a great town for a weekend getaway and the Larix is the perfect cozy hotel with a European feel. The rooms have comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and while on the smaller side, still managed our luggage perfectly.

The breakfast was good with some different options like smoked salmon that you don’t see everywhere. The only issue was there is no cable on the TV just Prime and YouTube. You can also login to Netflix, Disney etc. The bed was comfy and clean and the bathroom was clean.

We really liked this hotel; the interior decorating was unique & comfortable. The included breakfast was very good with a nice selection of food options. Staff were very friendly. We asked for an earlier check-in time & they did not hesitate to accommodate us. The room was clean & the bed was very comfortable. The only thing that could be improved is the lighting in the room. It was too dark; lights are not bright enough. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend to others.

The staff at the Larix are so friendly, down to earth, and very helpful. They really make you feel like family there. The hotel was warm and inviting. Beautifully furnished and decorated. So many surprise amenities like freshly baked cookies, complimentary drinks, s’mores and hot chocolate by the campfire, and of course, the relaxing barrel sauna. My family and I had such a wonderful stay. We want to come back again and again simply for the great vibe the Larix offers and to experience more of Kimberly.

Great continental breakfast (warm cinnamon bun offering was a cozy touch) and customer service was excellent. I received a phone call to make sure I was OK getting to the hotel, which is always nice when you are travelling somewhere new. Thank you!

The property is beautiful and lots of attention to detail. Breakfast staff was amazing. I didn’t like the fact that there is no staff on site after 9 pm. Our first night it was extremely loud from guests partying in the lobby until 1 am. I also did not feel entirely safe because when I asked the door code for exterior doors for after hours access, they told me they do not lock the doors at night because it’s “more of an inconvenience” to lock it. I arrived to the hotel after 9 and my key cards didn’t work . I called the off site staff and they told me I could wait 10 minutes or use the master key card and proceeded to tell me where the master key card was without confirming my identity.

There is a lack of available staff and we had many occasions where there was nobody available to assist with various requests. They also have very uneven floor transitions and my elderly mother tripped coming through the front entrance which had a high unmarked transition from outside to the tile floor inside. She fell flat on her face and injured her knees, arms and forehead. Her injuries kept her from attending her grandson’s graduation celebration and she need to go to her doctor immediately upon her return home. At the time of her fall, there was no hotel staff around and no first aid available. The hotel staff, it turns out were away watching a parade across the street.

Rooms are quite small, smaller than the average the availability of numerous social lounging areas is a plus. The continental breakfast is well above average. The boutique quaint vibe of the place is very comfortable. Being right across the street walking distance from the Platzl is also convenient. I will be staying there again upon my return to the area and would recommend others to check it out.

It was a gorgeous, quaint, boutique hotel where they thought of every thing from free juices, coffees, daily cookies to granola bars and fruit. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the wonderful lounging areas with fireplace and lux leather furniture.

fab hotel! rooms and hotel so clean, staff was amazing. there is a small sauna that can be booked, and you should! so worth it! breakfast is not hot, but has everything you need to fuel you for the day. there are bottles of water, fizzy waters, juice, coffee and tea, and fresh very tasty cookies available 24/7 for guests-free of charge! you don't get much free these days, so that was very appreciated. we will for sure be coming again

Amazing place to stay at in the centre of Kimberley. It felt like at home with all the furniture and decor. Shopping and dining just a short walk away. Continental breakfast with smoked salmon and bagels is included. We would stay again here.

Great euro feel hotel! Wine lounge/dining room has good menu for dinner and serves as the continental breakfast area. The breakfast itself is well done with dry cereal, toast bagels hard boiled eggs fruit, yogurt. Lots of condiment options for bagels and toast, smoked salmon,cream cheese, PB and J. All staff were pleasant and helpful.
