staff friendly and helpful. room nice. property upkeep seems to be lacking, and locks on external doors are missing - it seemed anyone could enter the hotel and room corridors at anytime - not ideal.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend in June. The staff was great, the breakfast was breakfast was better than most for hotel food! It was buffet style, they offered, fresh fruit salad, eggs, sausage, bacon, juices, coffee, all the basics, but very fresh and French toast! I've never had french toast offered in an included breakfast. It was thick, fluffy and very fresh! Served in the restaurant, at private tables, very comfortable, nice lighting, and you do not bus your own tables!! When you are done eating, you simply leave your table and the prep staff will come out to clear your table. Excellent morning experience!! Sadly, the restaurant only serves breakfast and the amenities, including sauna, hot tub/jacuzzi and outdoor pool were not available and the indoor pool was not clean, but open. Sadly, we were unable to take advantage of any of the amenities listed on their website. We stayed in room 160, there were only 3 lamps in the room and spread out. The room was very dark, but clean. All in All it was an alright stay but pricey for the lack of amenities. We would have enjoyed our stay more if we could have actually used and relaxed with the amenities we expected to have available. The biggest issue was the entrance door #6 has NO locks at any time! Anyone can enter the building at anytime and have access to the inside. No locks, no card entry, just open all the time. Very unsafe!

Clean, not run down. Spot on for a business meeting/ conference. Hope they get the bar going again... been down since covid so I get it

Gym is not really functioning, only about one of the cardio machines worked. Also only two weight machines that looked suspicious/questionable safety. Also would have preferred a shuttle to/from airport.

What a great stay! It's an older style hotel with older key card system so had to go back to get multiple sets BUT they are fixing the key card maker. No biggie because this place was well worth it. THE free great and plentiful BREAKFAST buffet combined with the low overnight prices, YOU CANNOT beat this. There's an indoor and outdoor pool. Yes, a bit older svhool but nothing wrong with it. It does the job plus you can sit in the grassy area on a lounger to relax and sunbathe! They have pool noodles and beach ball plus other balls for the pool basketball small goals! We just a hop skip and a jump from Ithaca so the location was very convenient if you are "chasing waterfalls"! :) I felt good about my decision to stay here. You get a LOT for your money here! For dinner, try the mexican restaurant in the mall. It's right behind the hotel. Called Zolota or something like that. In the mall is an Auntie Anns and pizza plus Target and Hobby Lobby too!

Weekend hot breakfast buffet was amazing. Two very nice well maintained pools were awesome.

We enjoyed a hot breakfast and warm pool. We liked the hotel and will return for future stays in the area.

For the price, the his hotel is a great value. The free breakfast is a good perk. We wish the bar and restaurant would open.

Just stayed one night to crash and use pool. Room was completely fine but bathroom was a bit dated. Doorway light was not working. Pool area was a wreck. Hot tub and sauna were both out of commission, with visible signs of abuse and lack of care. Bathrooms adjacent to pool area were really gross, with men's room completely shut down. Restaurant area was DATED, straight out of the 70's. This hotel just needs some love, attention and updating and has major potential.

The two pools were nice. Friendly staff. The room was comfortable. Internet access was good. There were no stairs at the outdoor pool (not accessible). The shower water temperature took a long time to heat up. The hotel was quiet and private. Lots of parking available.

Breakfast was great. Freshly prepared and with good options. Room was clean.

The property was run down, outdated, and had a pungent odor! The bed sheets had multiple bodily secretions, there was mold around the windows, and poop left in the toilet!

One the pictures I have posted is what I was greeted with in this hotel. As soon as I walked in the door that moldy spot on the ceiling dripped on my head. Once I got in the room, it smelled like mildew and the carpet was soaked from the air conditioning leaking. So I had to sleep with air conditioning off all night because I had traveled for a while and hiked so I was honestly too tired to have to look for another hotel and there was a hot breakfast in the morning which was decent but honestly the place is so rundown that they should not be allowed to rent rooms until they make some repairs. Also, they have an area that looks like it could be a very nice restaurant and bar with some TLC and in the ad it says there’s one, but it is not open . in addition, I accidentally left my sneakers and hiking socks in the room and nobody contacted me to come and retrieve them so I guess in this hotel, if you leave stuff behind, it becomes a property of the hotel. Dirty and dumpy, and not worth what they charge for you to stay there. In addition, the outdoor pool is closed but again their website does not tell you that.

The hotel hallways and room smelled musty. Room fresheners were not available. Light bulbs were missing from lamps and not available. We had to go to a local store to buy bulbs. Lamp shades were cracked and broken. Bathroom shower had hair in the drain and were rusty and ridden with mildew. There was water damage on the walls of the bathroom.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The Hotel Cayuga Blu was a great value for the money. Our room was clean, quiet, and well-appointed. We would stay here again.

The first room they gave us had a problem with cleanliness but they changed the room right away and were pleasant about it. The place has seen better days, especially when it comes to the bathrooms, but the shower worked well, the beds were comfortable and it’s a decent location. Price wise it was not worth it but on a busy weekend when most places were booked it was the most reasonable. Maybe they could mow the overgrown lawn to improve the image of the place. In all I’ve stayed in worse places but this is not your first choice if you have one.

the bathroom was dirty. We had ants inside the room that were annoying. I had insect bite rash on our legs and our poor dog. The coffee maker did not work. Not worth the price at all. It was a really bad experience.

Water damage all over the hotel on the 2nd floor especially and severely outdated bathrooms look dirty but the staff was very nice and it's one of the best continental breakfasts I've seen in years.

Horrible dank and stale odor!! The entire property — corridors, rooms, dining hall — needs all the smelly old carpeting to be ripped out, then thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, and freshly painted and re-carpeted. Moreover, several rooms and beds seem to be infrequently occupied or used. We experienced biting dust mites in one of the two beds in the room assigned to us!

Room very clean and comfortable, very good breakfast buffet in the former hotel restaurant, overall this 1971 hotel is clean, but it needs some serious updating and cosmetic maintenance.

Location is good, very convenient, near shopping mall and many food options. Hotel provides free parking and breakfast. Staff are very nice and responsible. Hotel is 70 -year style, if renovate, it will be great

The hotel room is spacious, the staff is friendly. The only complaint is the WiFi connection makes people a little frustrated. Overall it is a cost effective hotel to stay

Start with the positives- friendly staff at check in. Helpful, quick and welcoming. Snacks and water in room as a welcome. Room well appointed. Beds comfortable. Room had a safe and fridge. Bathroom didn’t have a fan and needed updating. A few towels had stains and the shower curtain was deteriorating. Stains on the bedding but it was immediately remedied once brought to housekeeping attention. Easy parking, great location for college visits. None of outside doors lock so a bit of a safety issue. Additionally there was trash and construction debris outside. Hotel is in dire need of a sprucing up. Wallpaper peeling, stained and torn carpet and shattered glass in the door. Breakfast was amazing and staff ran it well.

I stayed at this hotel during my visit for the Cornell campus tour. The location is great — there’s a grocery store right in front and it’s very convenient to get to the university. However, the building seems quite old, and the bathroom water doesn’t drain well. It’s a very classic place, to say the least.

The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. The water was hot, bathroom clean, but old. The ac unit was noisy and kept cycling, so it was on and off constantly, which could make it hard to sleep. The property itself is very old, and in need of upgrades and repairs that are clearly beyond cosmetic. But for a night or two it worked out fine.

The room was a nice size and had good lighting. It needed some repairs and updates. The bathroom light over the sink didn’t work, and there wasn’t enough plugs. The corner behind a chair had some dirt and debris on the base of the standing lamp. The bed sagged a bit in the middle but was comfortable otherwise.

We were in town for only one night, but everything worked perfectly. The manager was very helpful and quite cheerful, too. All good. Since our granddaughter is at Ithica, I expect we'll be back several more times over the next three years, as God allows. Many thanks. Paul Jeffries

Your front desk personnel were outstanding!

I’ve tried contacting the manager a couple of times with no success so here we go. The front desk staff were lovely and as helpful as they could be. The main issue was the fake floral scent they use for a cleaning product in the room. Many people are sensitive to fragrance and dyes and it hit you like a wall the second you opened the door. My husband and children, who are not sensitive to fragrances generally, noticed it was overwhelming and we had the door open to try and air it out a little bit. However that was not successful, I ended up sleeping only about 2 to 3 hours and having a headache the entire next day due to that scent. The front desk staff again, were accommodating and allowed me to check out a few other rooms to move to but only one of them had working air conditioning. So we moved, put our items in the room, and head out for lunch. When we arrived back at the hotel at 2:30, that floral smell was very overwhelming in that room as well and we decided there was no way we could stay another night. my health was at risk now having a severely irritated throat. I was not issued my money back because she said it was too late to check out but she would put a message to the manager to see if they could bypass that. It’s been days and I still have not heard from the manager. She has ignored my messages. Will never go back again. Also every single entrance and the courtyard has people smoking constantly. It would be nice if there was a designated area.

Staff coming in was friendly, however the night staff was not, we got accused of not being a costumer staying at the hotel. We were told hot breakfast was being served in the morning, which there was not only hot item was waffles we make ourselves. The outside is run down, the inside wasnt in much better shape, we felt like we were at a cheap motel. No locks on the outsides of any of the doors so anyone could walk right in. Our room lock was broken and multiple doors to the rooms were all seemed to have been broken into or tried. The pool is only 3 feet throughout and very cold.

The hotel is in a great location. Easy to get to all the waterfalls we visited. The building is a little outdated, but had no issues; everything was great and staff very nice.

lots of free parking. adjacent to supermarket & gas stations. weekend bkfast is excellent with hot eggs & meats. weekday bkfast is cold hardboiled eggs & yogurt. outdoor swim pool is nice touch but needs area upkeep, way too many flying bugs. we stayed twice in a week. 2nd time 2 scruffy people (white, 1 male, 1 female) sitting on curb & smoking weed outside our ground floor room 930pm. residents or homeless? i looked out, they stared back. we had to shut window, turn on ac. outside doors of building dont lock. if solo female or with kids i would really worry. i informed front desk next morning, no answer to my phone call at night. oh, and one morning i had to return to room to fetch something. cleaner (black, lady) had thrown pillows on floor when making beds. she gave me a sullen look when i objected.

Convenient property for visiting Ithaca. The lighting and the water pressure of the toilets could be improved, but overall worth the stay for its proximity.

While the hotel needs some updating, it was clean and comfortable and in a great location. 10 mins from downtown Ithaca. Steps from several restaurants (Applebees, Subway, McDonalds, etc.) and a Tops Supermarket. Nice grounds. Pet friendly. The weekend breakfast was very good.

Great bargain for the area. Its older hotel, but it was very clean and the staff was nice. My friend was able to bring her pet. The mall next door is going through hard times, but still has a Target, Michaels and BJs.

Checking in that fast and easy. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. Great for getting downtown or to campus. Staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. I would definitely stay again for the price.

Had an excellent stay at this hotel and, after a week traversing NY State, I can say for definite it was our favourite hotel. It’s nice not to be in a ‘branded’ hotel and with that you get much better service, a truly great breakfast that put those served in much more expensive hotels to shame, and a super comfy bed giving me the best sleep for weeks. Would definitely come again and recommend to anyone considering a reasonably priced room on the Ithica area.

Great location for a Cornell visit: not far from Cornell and not in the middle of downtown Ithaca, which can get gridlocked; very easy access to NY-13 too. Breakfast was great: top-tier breakfast for what you usually find in American hotels. It tasted good and there was a real variety. It was also kept stocked and hot even up to the end of the dining period (many hotels just run out of things and don't bother to replace them). I admit that the bar for hotel breakfasts in America is very very low, but I was very happy with this one.

Excellent weekend breakfast. Grab an go options other day limited. Would like to see external doors locked at night. Very pleasant housekeeping staff. Odd that front desk didn’t know where closest post office was. Staff gave good dinner reco at Zocolos.

I was disappointed in the breakfast choices, in the past I always enjoyed the breakfast choices. This time there was only a Continental choice, apparently due to small bookings, I would have liked being informed prior to our stay.

Great value! This is my second time staying here and never found a reason to complain. The breakfast was fresh and had many options. Loved playing corn hole next to the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Located right in front of the mall which was super convenient to be able to grab supplies at Target.

There was literally no breakfast so I thought we were late to the breakfast at 8 am. Then the answer was .. it is all it.. two pieces of bread and yogurt. Very nice! Never ever again at this hotle.
