Von La Paz bin ich mit einem Mietwagen die Ostküste von Baja California Sur runtergefahren. In La Ventana habe ich eine Pause eingelegt und bin beim Suchen einer Unterkunft am ChangoMango vorbeigekommen. Es liegt direkt an der Straße setzt sich von seiner offenen Bauart und farblichen Gestaltung komplett von den anderen Unterkünften ab. Von der Straße konnte ich schon die chillige Musik wahrnehmen und wurde bereits am Eingang vom Besitzer Hugo begrüßt. Die Vibes stimmten bei der Unterkunft sofort. An der Theke am Eingang gab es direkt das erste Bier. =) Die Unterbringung besteht aus großen individuell bemalten Betonröhren was ich so noch nicht gesehen habe und wirklich kreativ war ^^ in der Mitte ein großer Pool, Sand und Palmen.. eine kleine Oase in La Ventana. =) Auch die offenen Sanitäranlagen waren liebevoll gestaltet und super sauber. Am Abend konnte ich den Sonnenuntergang auf der Dachterrasse mit anderen Gästen genießen und den Blick über die weiten Kakteenfelder und in Richtung der Berge schweifen lassen - Mexicó at its best. Hugo und sein Team haben alles getan um den Aufenthalt einfach mega entspannt zu machen. Am nächsten Morgen gab es dann noch Tipps was man in La Ventana alles unternehmen kann.. Mountainbike, Kitsurfen, Wandern.. der Ort bietet einfach unglaublich viel. Immer wieder gerne!

Pod style hotel rooms with a lovely common area that has a pool and cafe/bar. Family friendly, if that's what you want. Great showers and hot water. Amenities minimal, all bikes on property were not useable due to flat tires.

The employees were excellent, the Jacuzzi was inoperative. I have a nerve condition in my lower back/legs & really needed it. Overall, a nice tiny room built out of a concrete pipe, good A/C, solar hot water & in the middle of a small town that’s beautiful. There is zero space for luggage/coolers, so you will need a car or storage area. We will go back, but expectations are now set…

If you came to town to kiteboard, this is a great spot within walking distance of the beach, communal showers, and a wash down pad for kite gear. They were a bit short staffed but super-friendly and went out of their way to accommodate requests. On site food was solid and reasonably priced. Wifi was spotty. Nice gathering areas to meet other travelers and enjoy a meal.

This is a unique gem of a place, so welcoming that you feel right at home from the first second. In fact, we loved everything about Chango Mango! From its colorful, creative appearance, the beautiful and comfortable pods (each individually designed) to the refreshing pool and the open bar area, that fills every corner of this place with this cool and relaxed atmosphere. It’s super clean and they take great care of their special place. From the lounge area on the second floor, you have a beautiful view of the endless beaches of La Ventana, just a few minutes walk away, and the magnificent desert landscape that surrounds this area. We took a fantastic boat trip with them at a very reasonable price to look for orcas (no luck!) and other wildlife that lasted the whole day! We loved it so much, we initially planned to stay there just for one night but ended up staying for almost a week. And it wasn't just us, we met other people who had similar experiences. After all, it’s the people that make this place so special, from the owners Hugo and Maren to everyone who works there, like Andrea and Che. We came for a quick stop and left with a bunch of new friends!

Si quieres sentir que te han enterrado vivo, éste es tu hotel, las "habitaciones" tienen el tamaño de una cama y están encajas dentro de un tubo de hormigón armado, hace una humedad horrible y no se pueden ventilar. Las duchas y baños comunes están asquerosos. El dueño solo intenta venderte mas cosas o comida del bar, dicha comida es horrible, los peores chilaquiles que me he comido en todo el viaje y los mas caros, ni se te ocurra reservar.

Chango Mango is a great place for someone who needs a place to stay. So clean and good food. The only thing that is missing is storage for equipment. You may be able to get away with it as a kiting but a new winger would be very tight.

Cool place, interesting concept. It was relatively clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. The rooms are tiny... so hanging out in them isn't really an option. This is not ideal in the summer or winter since it's soooo hot / windy, respectively, and there aren't any climate controlled common areas. There was some confusion at check in... one person told me breakfast was included and would start at 6am. When that time can't around, I was the only person in sight. A couple of hours later, workers were there, but told me breakfast wasn't included. I'd be willing to give this place another shot in high season if I only need a place to crash (not hangout).

It is very welcoming, Hugo the owner, Andrea and Natacha at the kitchen and bar make you feel part of a family and we shared great moments with other guests from around the world during my one-week stay at the hotel. The room (a pod) was very comfortable and quiet, mattress was top quality, I slept like a baby. Separate bathroom and showers, really clean, hot water in the shower, perfect after a day of windsurfing. Food is really good - crepes, club sandwich, enchilada and more. Located right accross the street from La Ventana Windsports so ideal location if you need to rent some gear. Will go back again. Highly recommended

If you came to town to kiteboard, this is a great spot within walking distance of the beach, communal showers, and a wash down pad for kite gear. They were a bit short staffed but super-friendly and went out of their way to accommodate requests. On site food was solid and reasonably priced. Wifi was spotty. Nice gathering areas to meet other travelers and enjoy a meal.

Cool place, interesting concept. It was relatively clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. The rooms are tiny... so hanging out in them isn't really an option. This is not ideal in the summer or winter since it's soooo hot / windy, respectively, and there aren't any climate controlled common areas. There was some confusion at check in... one person told me breakfast was included and would start at 6am. When that time can't around, I was the only person in sight. A couple of hours later, workers were there, but told me breakfast wasn't included. I'd be willing to give this place another shot in high season if I only need a place to crash (not hangout).

It’s super clean and they take great care of their special place. From the lounge area on the second floor, you have a beautiful view of the endless beaches of La Ventana, just a few minutes walk away, and the magnificent desert landscape that surrounds this area. We took a fantastic boat trip with them at a very reasonable price to look for orcas (no luck!) and other wildlife that lasted the whole day! We loved it so much, we initially planned to stay there just for one night but ended up staying for almost a week. And it wasn't just us, we met other people who had similar experiences. Von La Paz bin ich mit einem Mietwagen die Ostküste von Baja California Sur runtergefahren. In La Ventana habe ich eine Pause eingelegt und bin beim Suchen einer Unterkunft am ChangoMango vorbeigekommen. Es liegt direkt an der Straße setzt sich von seiner offenen Bauart und farblichen Gestaltung komplett von den anderen Unterkünften ab. Von der Straße konnte ich schon die chillige Musik wahrnehmen und wurde bereits am Eingang vom Besitzer Hugo begrüßt. Die Vibes stimmten bei der Unterkunft sofort. An der Theke am Eingang gab es direkt das erste Bier. =) Die Unterbringung besteht aus großen individuell bemalten Betonröhren was ich so noch nicht gesehen habe und wirklich kreativ war ^^ in der Mitte ein großer Pool, Sand und Palmen.. eine kleine Oase in La Ventana. =) Auch die offenen Sanitäranlagen waren liebevoll gestaltet und super sauber. Am Abend konnte ich den Sonnenuntergang auf der Dachterrasse mit anderen Gästen genießen und den Blick über die weiten Kakteenfelder und in Richtung der Berge schweifen lassen - Mexicó at its best. Hugo und sein Team haben alles getan um den Aufenthalt einfach mega entspannt zu machen. Am nächsten Morgen gab es dann noch Tipps was man in La Ventana alles unternehmen kann.. Mountainbike, Kitsurfen, Wandern.. der Ort bietet einfach unglaublich viel. Immer wieder gerne!

The employees were excellent, the Jacuzzi was inoperative. I have a nerve condition in my lower back/legs & really needed it. Overall, a nice tiny room built out of a concrete pipe, good A/C, solar hot water & in the middle of a small town that’s beautiful. There is zero space for luggage/coolers, so you will need a car or storage area. We will go back, but expectations are now set…

It is very welcoming, Hugo the owner, Andrea and Natacha at the kitchen and bar make you feel part of a family and we shared great moments with other guests from around the world during my one-week stay at the hotel. The room (a pod) was very comfortable and quiet, mattress was top quality, I slept like a baby. Separate bathroom and showers, really clean, hot water in the shower, perfect after a day of windsurfing. Food is really good - crepes, club sandwich, enchilada and more. Located right accross the street from La Ventana Windsports so ideal location if you need to rent some gear. Will go back again. Highly recommended

Chango Mango is a great place for someone who needs a place to stay. So clean and good food. The only thing that is missing is storage for equipment. You may be able to get away with it as a kiting but a new winger would be very tight.

Si quieres sentir que te han enterrado vivo, éste es tu hotel, las "habitaciones" tienen el tamaño de una cama y están encajas dentro de un tubo de hormigón armado, hace una humedad horrible y no se pueden ventilar. Las duchas y baños comunes están asquerosos. El dueño solo intenta venderte mas cosas o comida del bar, dicha comida es horrible, los peores chilaquiles que me he comido en todo el viaje y los mas caros, ni se te ocurra reservar.
Si quieres sentir que te han enterrado vivo, éste es tu hotel, las "habitaciones" tienen el tamaño de una cama y están encajas dentro de un tubo de hormigón armado, hace una humedad horrible y no se pueden ventilar. The only downside of this location is for someone who wants a private bathroom and a TV - as the staff was very unique and friendly - the facilities - including the common bathrooms and showers were very private and clean - great food and smoothies - and quality coffee - nice environment - a great option.
