Aloft by Marriott Savannah Airport

The room doors slam shut and so the hotel is very noisy. Pool was closed because Ph of the water was off. Nice look and feel of the hotel but just not a quiet place to stay

The hotel was shortstaffed. I had to wait almost 20 minutes at the bar to get a drink because the bartender was cooking food. There was no one else to cook. I had a problem with my room and try to call the hotel operator and could get no one.

The property was nice. The only issue was the bartender was new and didn’t know how to make a lot of drinks. Other than that great experience

All of the staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were amazed and grateful when we discovered that the shuttle ran all hours of the day and night. We were able to make it the the Savanna airport timely.

Clean new unique. Large room. Didnt like lack of staff for bar area. No one there for exceasive periods. Although great service when there.

hotel seemed somewhat empty. no one in the lounge nor he bar for most of the day/night. which i actually prefer as the pool table was empty and so was the pool and the bar. lady at front desk did say pool was open all night but when we tried to access it at night it was locked. the bartender was really nice and even though they didn't have certain ingredients available she still was happy to serve anything else. rooms were nice and the bed was comfy. showers were really nice and spacious as well. overall i enjoy ALOFT hotels as i have been to one in Chicago as well. will recommend to others.

Easy to get to, easy to park, friendly staff

The guy at check in had the personality of a rock but he checked me in without an issue. The first floor can hear every car that drives by but we had a sound machine so that helped. The room was really nice. The gym was nice and the pool was clean. We would definitely stay again but not on the first floor.

What i didnt like is that this is an AIRPORT HOTEL. We stayed there to get shuttle access to the airport. We asked for 3 AM wakeup call and 3:30 AM shuttle service. The desk clerk put us on the Shuttle List and we didnt get the wakeup call and when we went to shuttle area the night person acted like a guest sitting out front on her phone. Then didnt help us with shuttle. We got to the airport on our own. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

The pool could of been a little cleaner

The room had an extreme smell of dog. There were bugs on the floor. You could visibly see layers of dust. The floors have not been fully cleaned, mopped, or sanitized in months. The maid staff had loud conversations right outside my door in the early morning, and overall the property was extremely loud. Very disappointing for Marriott to stamp their name on this hotel.

They will not clean your room unless you ask them to. Then they will check to see if they can “fit you in” for cleaning service depending on when you ask. I was never added to the cleaning schedule. Aloft is a Marriott brand. Usually Marriott hotels will clean your room without you asking, so these rules are new to me. You should be given this info at check-in. Also, the floors are dirty. Somebody needs to mop. I couldn’t stand to look at the dried up pee drips in front of the toilet, so I laid a towel down on the floor in front of the toilet during my stay. The hotel lobby is nice and clean though. The bar and lounge area are great! I was in room 310 from 6/5/25-6/8/25.

Rugs around the hotel are dirty and stained. Windows are very dirty in room.

Clean modern room

After checking in and settling in, we noticed ants crawling around the room. There was a number of them by the table and right under the window. Other ones were in various locations. We called for motel staff to move us but they said they were fully booked and would send spray, but they didn’t. We had to spray some disinfectant that we had. We are not pleased with this situation.

Clean and well maintained. Plenty of friendly and attentive staff on hand. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was not clean. Debris on carpet. Killed 2 roaches. Bathroom door broken. Overall look of the hotel from the lobby to the common areas to the rooms and hallways were just dark and dingy.

THE HOTEL ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND HAD A VERY CUTE DESIGN. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE BEDS WERE SUPER COMFY. THE CONCIERGE LORENA WAS SUPER PROFESSIONAL AND VERY HELPFUL. SHE MADE OUR STAY NICE AND EASY.

There was no microwave in the room and no closet. The television did not work. Had to contact the maintenance man to take the television off the wall to reconnect the television in order for it to work. Had to call the front desk to get towels, coffee, linen, water, cream and sugar. There was no cream on site. Took a shuttle to Walmart and waited an hour to be picked up, was given a free drink ticket but the bar was closed. Very disappointing.

If not for the young lady at the front desk who provided great service, we would have rated this hotel a 1. We stayed with family. This was the first and most incredibly odd problem. The room has two queens on one side of a partial decorative wall. On the other side is an all glass shower. There are no doors separating these. So, if a family member wants to shower, they have to do so on full display of the entire family. There are gaps in the wall that allow people to look directly into the shower. There is a mirror on the wall allowing people in the bedroom area to look at the person in the shower while they are showering. The toilet area has two half barn doors that don’t fully close providing zero privacy in the bathroom. Conceptually, what situation would require people to sleep in different queen size beds, but watch each other shower and not be able to use the bathroom with privacy? Certainly not a family of 5. Furthermore, the pool had mold on the steps leading into it so we didn’t swim, and the light switches and baseboards were a little rough. The attempt to offer a modern look is clear, but in the strangest design imaginable that is totally impractical. This room would be great if you are on a Honeymoon or with a spouse where privacy is not a concern, but that would be a King room, not two Queens. And to make it worse, we called in advance after reading some reviews and were assured it is a standard hotel room layout. I can assure you, it is not that. Be warned.

Location is perfect! Despite the super busy exit, aLoft is tucked away from the traffic. Comfy bed and nice shower. Only issues: no water bottles available in room and sold out in lobby. The walls were thin! Could hear every word from next door.

the room design is very poor the sliding doors for the toilet do not close fully and often come off their tracks. there are no doors for the shower so no privacy. the room is very tight , hard to walk and no room for luggage. unless you're traveling alone I do not reccomend.

Hotel was nice and modern. A little smaller than my usual hotel room size. Rooms are definitely not sound proof could hear too much noise from near by guests.

The door of the original room was broken and would not lock - you could push it open with your shoulder !!! So we had to switch rooms the next day !! But no one would go to inspect the door / Lock !! And it was reported to maintenance till I actually came back later in the day to re check in to my other room for the second night

I was not comfortable with the room itself. It felt like it was an art gallery in a locker room without a locker for my things. The focus of the lighting was on the room and I found it difficult to use the mirror when my face was in the shadow because the lighting was behind me. There was no place for a suitcase except the cube for a chair and the exposed bar on a room accent with some hangers is not a substitute for a closet. The shower was challenging in that both the shower head and the wand came on and I couldn’t find any way to turn off the wand other than turning it towards the wall. Lastly the window cover was a joke as it appeared the motor to raise and lower the cover didn’t work and I could see an unattached electric wire sticking out of the motor housing. The cover had been pulled out of the glides and you had to manually roll the bottom up and down. For my purpose on this trip this room was inadequate.

The layout of the room is very strange. The rest of the family needed to sit on the bed and could not walk around when someone was taking a shower. There was no door to the bathroom and you would walk out naked after the shower. There was no privacy at all. The sliding door to the toilet constantly broke

TV stopped working around 9pm. 2 of the room lights did not work and shower door didn’t close properly. Bathroom sliding doors were difficult to close because they slid out of the track. Not a bad facility but it would be hard for me to give Aloft any repeat business.

It is very loud and noisey. No sleep, everything in the room make noise like ac and people flushing toilet. You can hear people conversations in the next room. I stayed befor and thought it might be better. I WAS WRONG.

I have never experienced such awful customer service at a hotel. Both help desk attendants were beyond terrible—easily the worst service I’ve ever received, even compared to budget motels. My key fob wasn’t working, so I went to the front desk for help. The attendant, who was wearing headphones and completely ignoring me, finally reprogrammed the key—but it didn’t work. I had to return five times, and he still didn’t acknowledge me, speak, or even look engaged. No apology, no explanation—just pure indifference. The final time, instead of giving me a new key, he simply walked to my room, unlocked the door, and returned to the desk without saying a single word. No eye contact, no instructions, nothing. This was hands-down the laziest and most unprofessional hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. Avoid this place if you expect even basic customer service.

We have stayed at Aloft in other cities and Savannah did not disappoint. Harrison at check in was friendly, professional and helpful.

We checked in after a long day of travel. They did not have the room available that we reserved. The guest services lady did not have any customer service skills and offered no solution. She said there was not a manager available and she could not do anything. After about 30 minutes, as we were booking another hotel, a room became available. There was nowhere to go in the morning that wasn't blaring with dance music. Coffee was the only breakfast available other than the purchase of a $2 orange. This appeared to be a new hotel but caters to younger clients with its modern décor and loud music and bar in the lobby. I will not stay at this hotel chain again.

Stay was ok. Lobby and parking lot was clean. Staff was decent, however the women in the lobby the night I checked in seemed annoyed.. but what irritated me was when we got into room to get ready to go out there were moldy chicken bones in trash and the facial tissues on counter were soaking wet.. they obviously cleaned but didn’t pay attention to detail. All front desk said was that they would have another box of tissues for us when we returned , which they did. The morning of check out one of the housekeepers tried to just walk straight though the door as I was about to take a shower. She came back a few minutes knocking and just saying hello . Never announcing herself as housekeeping.. mind you this was before 8 AM, I was indeed awake but my guest was asleep and was woken up by all of this. I know checkout is at noon.. and I’ve done housekeeping . You should announce yourself and not bother guests like that. I get you want to get your cleaning done but just trying to walk in and then knock knock hello ? Hello ? Hello is annoying and unprofessional . I’m sure this was just a one time thing as I have many other workers I know who love this hotel, so hopefully I can give them another chance.

The night shift associate was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable about the local area. I had a late check-in, staff was accommodating and expedient. The young lady leading the night shift on June 13 2025 was phenomenal. I'd recommend this location.

Clean, good location

We loved this place. Away from city noise. The staff was awesome & very helpful on dining places close. Was close to the airport too!!

Hotel is very close to Tanger shopping center and close access to many popular restaurants. Very easy check in, nice pool & welcoming lobby

I was hesitant to book because this exit is super crowded, but aloft is tucked behind all the shops/restaurants and was surprisingly quiet. Check in was fast and friendly. Loved the large window in the room! Modern and groovy decor. Amazing shower and bed was comfy. Good for biz travel;nice desk and plenty of outlets. I did not order food, but saw a bar, gym and minimal snacks in lobby. My only suggestion is to have amenities listed somewhere, or mentioned at check-in. I really don’t know what was available, but next time will ask. I travel to this area monthly and try different places. Will definitely return to aloft.

Great location walkable to restaurants and shops

It was a great place to stay. It was not right off of 95 but close and easy to find. There were a few restaurants and many stores all within walking distance which was nice after a long day of driving.

Great location

In this day and age when all hotels are giving free complimentary breakfast. ALOFT charges for everything, nothing is free except the shuttle. We will not stay at another.

Very disappointed about the "no buffet style" breakfast. The only option is to order from a limited menu and billed separately. We went to Omlette Cafe, just 7 miles away and that was amazing. I give Aloft an 8/10.

Loved the hotel, loved the room (it's perfect for an overnight but too cramped for any longer for more than one person), but the food at breakfast was abjectly horrible. The product is not as advertised — one leaf of spinach hidden under an egg, hamburger bun in place brioche bread, and five tiny berries in oatmeal (advertised with "dried fruit" but I get technically that's true) — you get the idea. Overpriced for what it delivers. BUT the room was lovely, and we'd stay there again. I loved the bathroom wallpaper the most ;-) Probably go elsewhere for breakfast though.
