Great value for money at this hotel. We booked the luxury room with jacuzzi outside. This was a great experience. Breakfast is good. We had te leave early and the hotel provided sandwiches and coffee at 5 am. Great service!! Hotel is in the center of Sliema and you have everything on walking distance. (Only downside is that it is really hard to get a parking spot for your car)

Like many reviews of this property I agree all the staff you interact with are so friendly and helpful. The Breakfast is excellent for a Continental style one. But they are sadly being let down by either the owners or management, because the hotel itself is a bit of a disappointment. We booked a top floor room with the terrace and Hot Tub, the tub didn't seem to have been properly cleaned and contained quite a lot of sand in it, also be aware the terraces are overlooked alot by surrounding properties. Our room is badly in need of a refresh, tap on Sink basin loose, bathroom door handle loose comes off in your hand, light switch by door missing it's plate, and room needs a lick of paint. All those jobs could be sorted in a day. So sadly it's not really a boutique hotel in it's current state and no I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Feel sorry for the wonderful staff.

Tres bonne litterie, chambre 25 spacieuse, avec petite terrasse et jaccuzi. Bruit provenant du couloir et insonorisation entre chambres trop légère mais on y dort tres bien (bouchons d'oreille fournis gratuitement si besoin). Un gros defaut, la bouche d'aération donnant sur la terasse qui est super bruyante. Petit dejeuner tres bien. Personnel super.

Booked 9 nights here for my wife’s “Special Birthday” at a cost of just under £2,000 for the rooftop room and jacuzzi Both my wife and I became ill after 4 days and on 7th day found the jacuzzi had turned bright green with algae. The manager Alessandro Mazzola did not take this at all seriously. I would not speak to him directly but insisted on text so that I have a record. I can make this available. He says “Unfortunately the jacuzzi had turned green which unfortunately happenses(sic) when even a small particle of algae gets in the jacuzzi.” This tells me they have no regime in place for proper chemical management at all! Jacuzzis are the perfect breeding, ground for bacteria, which cause sickness, diarrhoea, breathing problems, and legionnaires disease!! Mr Mazzola offered me €50 in compensation as he said the jacuzzi could only not be used for one day and missed the whole point about health risks. I refused his offer. The hotel, as a whole, is like a brand new dice which has been well used. The sharp edges andcorners are worn away! Some pics are attached which show neglect and lack of maintenance. On the positive side the staff (with the exception of Mr Mazzola) are indeed very helpful and friendly and the Breakfast is excellent. No doubt Mr Mazzola will respond to this post and will try to confuse the problem I had with my back on arriving at the hotel (doctors verdict was lifting heavy weights above my head and sitting in one position too long) Ryanair?

The suite with jacuzzi on the roof top was amazing.

Wir hatten die Suite, das Jacuzzi war top. Das Zimmer ist jedoch definitv keine Suite. Es ist ein normales,, etwas enges Zimmer.

Charming small and fairly new hotel with super friendly staff and a lot of personality. We stayed at the top floor and even though the room is quite small, the terrace is stunning. Breakfast is healthy and nicely presented. Would definitely recommend!

With 6 rooms in the brand-new Annex, I found all facilities in my room in excellent condition. Quiet and restful sleep. Unfortunately, no bathroom amenities. Would have preferred that even a toothbrush or toothpaste would be much appreciated.

Lovely stay at Amery House for eight nights. We found our ground floor room to be extremely clean, large and comfortable. Well located in a quiet street of Sliema; two minutes walk to the beach and Lidl and a 10 minute walk to the Valletta ferry. Staff were an absolute credit to the hotel. They were friendly, helpful, happy to give travel tips about the local area and went out of their way to organise some vegan breakfast options for us. The only downside was that our room was not very soundproof, probably due to the hotel being located in an older building.

Posizione: L'Amery House è situato in una via tranquilla con case tradizionali e a pochi minuti a piedi dal lungomare, ristoranti e dalle fermate del Ferry e del bus. Quindi un'ottima posizione. Struttura: La reception è piccolina ma con i comfort necessari come bagno e divani. Il palazzo è in ottime condizioni( penso ristrutturato da poco). Gli interni comuni sono in stile moderno e vi è un ottimo utilizzo degli spazi. Tutto rimane in ordine. Dalla reception alla sala colazione tutto è molto pulito, moderno, lineare e allo stesso tempo rilassante. Personale: Abbiamo trovato sempre personale gentile sia alla reception che nella sala per la colazione dove vi è una ragazza Italiana piemontese (a cui mi son scordata di chiedere il nome)veramente simpatica. Chi ha il compito di pulire la strutture e le camere svolge un ottimo lavoro dato che tutto è pulito alla perfezione. Servizi: In reception ci hanno fornito una mappa di Malta e una della valletta. Abbiamo inoltre avuto un problema con il nostro adattatore(nuovo , mai provato ed evidentemente non funzionante) e in reception ci hanno gentilmente fornito due adattatori. Abbiamo apprezzato molto il gesto e ci hanno salvato la vacanza! Camera: Premetto che abbiamo prenotato una camera standard. Piccolina ma con tutto il necessario. Colazione: Varia e abbondante sia nel dolce che nel salato. In particolare hummus ,cornetti, frullati e pastizzi tipici squisiti. Penso sia il punto di forza dell'hotel.

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. Our superior double room had a Maltese balcony which was lovely to sit in. The room was spotless, had a great shower and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Staff were fantastic and so friendly. We had a wonderful stay at Amery House and would recommend it highly.

Sadly we were left a little disappointed. Amery house classes itself as a boutique residence however we found it fell short of boutique standards which was a shame as the issues we found could have been easily fixed. * we arrived past 10pm at night on what was my husbands birthday, I had emailed in advance to request a bottle of Prosecco and some orange juice be in our room on arrival so we could start our trip with a glass especially after having spent 15hrs traveling. This was not in the room and I had to ask for it the following day. * room was exceptionally small. We had two suitcases and struggled to find space for these and all our things. * the bathroom had no glass to leave your toothbrush, only a small thing but the majority of hotels would provide this. * only one bathrobe for two people *the tap was loose and moved every time you used it. * the wardrobe hinge needed re attaching. * on the terrace there was a left over piece of window beading, the plant looked dead and a big hole where the hot tub plumbing. * The umbrella on the terrace was broken. * room and terrace needed touching up with paint to freshen up tired looking walls. * the shower and shower tray needed renewing and black and pink marks made it look grubby. * limited channel options and TV kept buffering. * breakfast was adequate but maybe not as many choices as most hotels offer, different options per day would have been nice. * kettle and coffee machine in the room with tea & coffee but no milk!

Clean quiet room

Generally very clean throughout particularly at breakfast cleaning down tables after each customer. Two areas of concern were under the bed that had not been cleaned for sometime and on the terrace which could have done with a good hoze down after the winter.

We were looking forward to staying in Amery House based on the online reviews. Location was perfect, receptio n staff were very nice, bed & pillows very comfy, good AC & great to have fridge & kettle. Room on entry looked very nice, however, level of cleanliness in bathroom was very poor based on presence of mould & build of up scum along perimeter of shower floor. Also, top of skirting board below sink was noticeably covered in dust. Unfortunately, this cast doubt over the overall level of room cleanliness. I rubbed tissue along the shower floor entrance & removed some of the scum build up, which I showed to the receptionist who apologised & said she would note this for house-keeping. Our room had been cleaned but the bathroom issues not addressed. I mentioned this to reception on both occasions, but fully appreciated that there was little reception could do other than communicate the matter. On check-out, the receptionist did not enquire about our hotel stay, nor did we receive any further apology regarding the unacceptable level of cleanliness in the bathroom. Unfortunately, we would not recommend Amery House based on the unacceptable standard of cleanliness we encountered & also based on management's failure to address the issue. Advice to Management: Hire additional staff (part-time/temp) to work alongside the daily house-keeping staff to complete deep cleans & maintenance to maintain the hotels required standards of cleanliness.

When booking our holiday, we chose Amery House because it looked modern and clean and had great reviews. It was also decently priced compared to other higher end hotels in Sliema. I want to say that the hotel is indeed modern and clean, the staff are all lovely, the breakfast was decent, and the location is great, but there are a few let downs. First off, upon entering our room, it was a lot smaller than shown in the pictures. We picked a Deluxe room so were expecting more space. We saw how nice the room was though and decided to look past that. Later on in the evening, my partner found that his lamp was broken. Again, nothing major so we were fine with it. The big thing for us, which did dampen our experience, was how thin the walls of this hotel are. There were multiple nights when guests came back to the hotel late in the night (which is absolutely fine) but we could hear every footstep, every chair movement, just everything from the hallways and other rooms. Not only this, but we realised on the second morning that our room was right next to what we think was the housekeeping closet. This meant that on the mornings when we tried to sleep in because we had been kept up by noise in the night, we were woken by scraping and slamming noises coming from housekeeping. We didn’t want to kick up a fuss because there’s nothing the staff can do about thin walls, but just something to bare in mind when booking this hotel is that you will hear everything.

The room was great except for the noise factor. Maybe because it was on the main floor.

Really enjoyed our stay at Amery House. The location was perfect for us, a 2 minute walk down to the sea and only 10 minutes walk to catch the ferry to Valletta. There was also a Lidl farther up on the same road which was useful. Plenty of good bars/restaurants along the seafront within walking distance. We had a standard room on the ground floor that was very spacious (I think we were lucky with the layout of ours so we had more space than others), and it was very clean - comfy bed and great shower. We were impressed with how you had the option to stream from your phone directly to the TV with certain apps so we could watch movies etc with our subscriptions. We were also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary continental breakfast as there was a lot of variety and the staff were on hand to make you drinks and keep everything replenished. The dining room was also nicely decorated and clean. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and overall it was a great service! Would recommend to anyone visiting Sliema!

Très bel petit hôtel , très cosy , personnel ,au top et aux petits soins , vraiment serviables , des vrais pros de l’hotellerie … Dommage que notre chambre se trouver au Red de chaussée , pas de luminosité, petit fenêtre donnant accès sur le trottoir de la rue. Petit déjeuner excellent et produits très frais avec un très bon café italien , des smokies à la fraise vraiment top .

Hotel tres bien, bus à 2minutes à pied, hébergement tres propre, petit dejeuner tres bien. Seul point negatif l isolation phonique qui n est pas presente.

Great location just outside of Valetta, that I could reach by ferry (5-10 min walk away from the hotel). Groceries, restaurants etc are everywhere around. And the walk along the shore is a minute away, I loved this. A few moments away, there was even a popular outdoor gym, which was great. In all, great location, with the busy capital within easy reach. Rooms were nice, with the usual stuff. The negatives are: 1. the noice isolation is crap, so traffic could be heard. 2. Inconvenient trasport means from the airport. (Private drivers can be requested, and that worked great)

Amazing stay at Amery House. The property is central to the beach, restaurants and St Julian’s. The staff were very friendly and were proactive with assistance. Loved the breakfast also! The only thing I would note is that the rooms are soundproof from the street but not from neighbouring hotel rooms so just bring ear-plugs. I would recommend staying here for your first time in Malta.

Great location, great property. Couple of hundred metres from water views and also old school baths cut in the rocks which are great to use to cool down. Lovely rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. Only negative is the front door for the building is very loud every time someone opens/closes it. If a light sleeper could be an issue.

Die Rezeption ist 24/7 besetzt, ein später Check Inn war so ganz unproblematisch möglich und unser Wunsch nach einer zweiten Decke wurde auch abends noch umgehend umgesetzt. Das Frühstück ist außergewöhnlich gut. Danke an das gesamte Team vom Amery House!!!

This little out of the way hotel is amazing. From the moment you walk in the door, you are made to feel welcome, more than welcome actually, like you are a member of their family. Everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful and made us feel special. We have been traveling for 2 months now and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed at and the best value for the money. The breakfast was incredible - not just some croissant and coffee, but a beautiful buffet with fresh veggies and fruit. The coffee was wonderful too, and they will make you a cup any time you desire. I cannot say enough good things about Amery House and its staff. This is one of the few places that I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending to anyone. Thank you Alejandro for making our stay memorable.

Had a really lovely experience. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They made my birthday so special. Got an upgrade and cake with candle brought to me at breakfast. Was very special. Very convenient location.Close to bus stop and to ferries.

Prior to arriving I had emailed Amery House to arrange a birthday surprise for two of the guests and also when our transfer was cancelled last minute by the company at the airport Amery House resolved this for me. The surprise for the birthdays was really lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and when a minor medical issue arose were again helpful to help me resolve it. It would be nice if they considered the breakfast area being used for evening snacks or a bar but aside from that, which isn’t complaint but just a suggestion, we had a lovely stay. Housekeeping was really good in our room however spot checks around the property would improve the minor things noticed like a dirty mark on the door from the lift to the rooms that was there for a few days and marks in the lifts where people would have leant on the walls. A great location for the shops and restaurants of Sliema and near to the ferry across to Valletta, Amery House was the perfect base for us to visit the sights of Malta and we would return without question.

The warm welcome of the staff made this feel like a home from home. The breakfast was 5* and something we looked forward to daily. I'm gluten free and after mentioning this on day one I had a plate of GF goodies brought to the table every morning. The rooms were stylish and comfortable. They go the extra mile here. Nothing is too much trouble. Water bottle in room is refilled daily and the bathrooms have a great power shower. Hairdryer, shower gel etc is provided for those wanting to travel light. All in all a fantastic stay. We would stay again if returning to the area and we would highly recommend to others. Thank you to all the staff for making us so welcome.

Staying at Amery House was a delight. Every staff member and management that we encountered were friendly and attentive. The location was perfect, as it is in a quiet area, but still only steps away from restaurants, the waterfront, grocery store, and a short walk to the ferry to Valletta. The room was clean and comfortable. We were lucky to have been upgraded to a room with a small balcony. Staff were able to accommodate an early check-in and a late check out. This helped make travel stress-free. I would not hesitate staying at The Amery House again.

Perfekt gelegen. Busse fahren ein paar Schritte entfernt in jede Richtung. In manchen Zimmern hat man einen Blick aufs Meer.

Staff was the best. Beautiful room. Perfect location. A block to catch a bus, short walk to Sliema/Valletta ferry. Lots of restaurants a short walk away. Large grocery store a couple of blocks away. Would definitely stay there again.

We chose Amery House after long search for a place in Valletta, none had as good reviews as Amery House. This modern boutique hotel in Sliema is on a quite clean street, close to beautiful promenade right across from busy Valletta. Short walk to ferries to Valletta and cruises to Gozo, very convenient! Buses in various directions. Short walk to restaurants, many right next to beach. Our rooms on 3rd floor, one with balcony, were new spacious superb clean daily serviced nice modern decoration comfy big beds, AC we did not use, a crisp fresh air came thru the windows, new beautiful bathrooms. We stayed 7 night and we could not ask for more comfort. Thank you. Superb breakfasts, fresh different fruit smoothies & juices, fresh coffee & cappuccino served by staff, all day tea. Freshly baked local delicious pastries, fresh fruits, meats & veggies, cheese, everyday warm frittata & more. Staff; fantastic, amazing & friendly people, always ready to help right away, any time day or night. They gave us a map, marked all destinations & busses & ferries to get there. Personally, showed us our rooms & way around. It was especially wonderful when they surprised me with cake and candle on me birthday breakfast, in the evening when I returned to the room, TV displayed a big sparkly Happy Birthday and pieces of cake for everybody. Special thanks to Mayara, for all your dedication, to Julia Eva Alessandro & girls in the dining room. I strongly recommend Amery House & wish to be back.

Very good Hotel with young and very friendly stuff. All of them were very nice and gave us a great expierience. Room was comfy and clean. It had everything we needed. Street of the hotel is not busy and quiet. Area has very good Infrastructure and lots of restaurants in walkable range. Just 2min walk down to Bus station and to the sea. Highly recommended.

The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The room is beautiful with character and very quiet. Breakfast was superb. We kept saying how lucky we were to find such a place.

Great hotel, very accessible, great transportation links to other parts of the island. Short walking distance to the beach where you will find restaurants, cafes and juice bars along the seafront. Staff are excellent and very friendly. I would prefer cooked breakfast options as opposed to a continental offering, though they do offer hot quiches. I would say their housekeeping needs to be improved but I would stay here again.

Tolles Frühstück und zu freundliches Personal !

The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was exceptional. The location is less than 1 block to the promenade and a place to swim and snorkel while a short walk to food and other sites. The rooms are nice but vary pretty significantly in size depending which of the two buildings you are in. The shower leaks onto the floor in all four of our bathrooms but you are provided with ample towels.

A lovely little hotel in a convenient, but quieter street in Sliema, with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and the overall decor sleek and modern - very comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. We did note that, whilst they were perfectly fine, the quality of towels didn’t seem up to the same level as the hotel’s overall image. Also it would benefit from some better soundproofing such as around the room door, to reduce the amount of noise from the corridor. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and would like to visit again.

This place is BEYOND off the charts. The breakfast, the staff, the rooms, the location, you name it..it is a 10 out of 10. I travel at least 75 night out of the year (in hotels)..this place is one of the absolute best ever...in the world..you vant beat the price..and let me tell you...they to above and beyond in every way. You will be soooo happy!!!
