Renaissance Saint Elm Dallas Downtown Hotel

Decent enough hotel. Only gripes…the AC was not powerful enough for that Texas heat. The valet service wasn’t the most convenient, especially since it was $50 a day.

Great location! Valet parking $46 a day. Very convenient but be prepared for charge. Nice bar! Felt very safe in area, two ladies traveling.

Beautiful hotel right in the middle of downtown! Rooms and bathroom are very spacious. Staff is so friendly and helpful!! Valet is a must and so easy to use! So nice having a bar, coffee shop, and restaurant in the hotel! Will definitely stay here again!

Everything great! But, no parking & no pool.

The lobby area was cozy and had a lot of comfortable seating and a little fire place. The restaurant's food was amazing absolutely 5 stars! The service is a bit slow, but the room service was pretty fast. The beds are very comfortable with extra pillows. The shower towels are not plush and soft as I would expect. There is no number to call room service, we had to call the front desk, the phone doesn't give you any of the usual info like room service, house keepings, etc. There are surprisingly no stores or shopping near by, which was disappointing. There is no pool and we could not find the gym, but other than those things, the hotel was really nice!

We left our car with valet, and when it was brought back to us the next morning the back of my Lexus was wrecked. It was obvious the valet backed into something due to there being zero paint on my car. “No cameras were working” “we rent our parking spots from a public garage” were responses we got- however we left my car in their care and it was returned wrecked.

I paid for breakfast when booking the room with Expedia but the hotel would not honor it. Valet paring was crazy high and they would not own up to a door ding.

Lovely art deco office conversion with a decent gym and a friendly staff. Beds are super comfy and the view can be decent if your facing elm.

It was a bit confusing for parking but besides that it was a beautiful stay wonderful hotel & staff.

Great and speedy service. The only thing is they don’t change the sheets when it was clear they were dirty…. But the ladies at the front desk were amazing .. always nice and helpful

Property itself is starting to show a little worn. They room we stayed in had a dead plant on the bathroom sink, shower drain was unsafe, almost cut my foot as it is a tile piece tilted. Bathroom soap dispenser was empty, towels had stains on them and view was of a roof top with dirty rags disposed on it. We booked a king and the only king at check-in was by the elevator. Went to asks for another king as we were told that was the only king available for today. We ended up with a Double bed room just to get away from the elevator, reminder my partner is 6'7, kinda a inconvenience. We checked in at 3pm surprisingly that was the only king left, pretty strange. Staff was pleasant through, kind and nice. Area not the best but hey what downtown is. A guy was trying to sell us drugs right out front while we were awaiting for our Uber. All in all we probably will stay somewhere else next time.

Friendly staff, nice rooms with cool decor, good restaurant

We had a great stay. The location is super convenient, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. Unfortunately our room was directly next to the elevator which was very noisy. Also next to the housekeeping closet and so we heard them as well. Otherwise a lovely place.

I thought I reserved a room as pictured online. Instead, they put us in a room half the size, located directly next to the elevator. The toilet was literally 4 feet from the bed, with a flimsy 'barn door' bathroom door. There was a one inch gap between the door and the wall. So I went downstairs to use the pubic bathrooms instead. (As a newlywed I want to keep the romance alive.) It was so loud that we got NO SLEEP and had to cancel our plans to go sightseeing the next day due to exhaustion. The woman at the front-desk was snippy and rude. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Our stay was great it was a really nice updated room and the staff was really friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was that the room felt really dark it didn’t have enough light, except for the bathroom which did have a lot of lighting. Also we walked to bars outside the hotel and the area felt safe.

This was a decent hotel in a fairly walkable area. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view. We also liked that there was a parking garage right across the street with $5 weekend parking. Good value for price.

The 2 corner rooms I booked were a good size the bed was comfortable the walk in shower and bathroom excellent. We did have some issues with wifi and trying to regulate room temperature. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast isn't served in the hotel although there is a shop which has coffee fruit and bagels. There are a lot of homeless people in the area around the hotel and in Dallas generally which is sad and depressing. Overall the hotel was good value for money and quite adequate.

We came in for a long weekend to Dallas, wonderful hotel with amazing staff. Special shout out to Justine at the front desk who was above and beyond top notch and Rick, who manages the restaurant attached, he gave us a personal history lesson onnDallas, where to go and when. He also knew that we were there for the Stevie Nicks concert and magically played my favorite song every time we came in to eat, what a guy!!! Its a very cool place with a record player in each room and an extensive library of records you can request at the front desk.. very walkable to all districts and super clean.. 10 out of 10 would recomend

The BEST in the downtown Dallas area, and I’ve stayed in all of them. Friendly staff from check-in to valet to restaurant. Accommodating in every way. Clean and spacious. And the vibe of the building is so fun.

My wife and I were staying at the Renaissance Saint Elm Dallas Downtown Hotel. We were only at the hotel at night, but the few experiences we had with the staff is still shocking to me that anyone allows this to happen with no concern for guests. On Saturday night, I approached the lobby desk to ask for a bottle of water. The staff member we talked to the previous night told us we just needed to come down to the lobby for complimentary water, so that exactly what I did. The front desk employee continuously cut me off and smirking when I was trying to explain the situation and the communications from the staff on the night before. Pretty quickly, the security guy came over very aggressively and continued to cut my wife and I off. Seeing that frustration had kicked in, I attempted to remove myself from the situation and go to my room. However, the security guy came to my elevator and held his foot in the door making my wife and I feel very threatened. I asked him to remove his foot and let us go upstairs. After asking repeatedly, we removed his foot and we went to our room. About 10 minutes later, we get a knock on the door. The same security guy and the front desk employee, D’Angelo, were outside and informed us that we had 5 minutes to pack our things and remove ourselves from the property. This was past midnight on a Saturday night in Downtown Dallas.

Front desk was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. That one person made the whole experience incredible.

Wouldn't let me adjust my reservation literally 5 minutes after booking it. Had to eat the cost of a night AND pay for an additional on top of it. Liliana at the front desk (late night crew) was a dream when it came to service. The rest, less than hospitable and unapologetic. Good customer service is dying and the management team here is representation of this notion.

We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott. The hotel was clean and the staff was excellent. The only drawback was the area. Lots of homeless on the street and at night not a good place to walk around.

Hotel is nice property wise & staff. But It’s on the edge of downtown and a rough neighborhood, you could hear gunshots from the distance in the middle of the night. The staff kindly warned us not to go on that direction on the evening.

Lovely hotel in an historic building within yards of The Majestic theater and Kitchen & Kocktails, a terrific comfort food restaurant.

Beautiful hotel and right next to the Majestic Theatre. The room was perfect and we were within walking distance of many great restaurants. We were in town for a concert at the Majestic and the hotel was convenient and met all of our needs. We would definitely stay at the St. Elm again!

Expedia offered a breakfast for two which I ordered during the booking. The hotel had no idea what I was referring to when I arrived

This is our second time staying here and we have been very pleased with both visits. Nice rooms, restaurant and bar make traveling through a breeze.

Close to Majestic Theater. Must eat at Kitchen+Kocktails on the corner. Wish the bar stayed open later. Nightcap after the concert would have been nice!

The hotel rooms and service were all great. Leaving a 1 star because the breakfast I bought with the room was not worth it because they will give you a full menu but you only allowed to pick a select few items, and they won’t let you switch items even when you want something in the full menu with equal price or lower, which makes no sense. The food was also average. The restaurant was understaffed, so our poor waiter, who did an amazing job, was overwhelmed.

I give this review a Five Star because everything was wonderful from the time I got out of my car. The guys who work in valet parking did a great job. The person who checked me in was so welcoming I loved him. We ate at the hotel and the food was spectacular. My room was to die for. I was on the 15th floor, so my view was Awesome. I will be back again. Thank you for the Great Hospitality!!

The hotel was nice so we’re the people. The restaurant I have to say was a very sad experience. Our waiter and bar tender we both very lazy and got our drinks with our food with should never happen. The restaurant didn’t really have that many people in it and the bar only had 3 guys. Not a place I would go back to.

The restaurant the apparently belonged to the hotel is stated as being a gourmet French restaurant, however, they serve shelf stable OJ in their mimosas. Gross. But the hotel itself was great.
