Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were in the extended stay area - which is a separate building and showing some signs of age on the outside. But the inside was redone. The bed was comfy. The free breakfast was amazing. Excellent selection and in a restaurant environment. The parking was great also.

The hotel itself is always great but this is the second time ive stayed there and both times were problems with parking. The hotel hosts events in the conference center in the night but then there is nowhere for guests to park. All the fire lanes were blocked with cars and no one could acess the area. At 930pm when we came to check in, instead of being able to park and go to our room, we had to leave the premisis and go drive around town for a while until a parking spot opened up. There were drunk belligerent people in the parking lot all evening, and it wasnt giving the safest vibe. ( it was a boxing event being held in the hotel). Its really a shame that such a nice hotel constantly oversells events to far exceed their parking capacity.

Great place to stay - nice pool and hot tub and omelets breakfast included. Only problem was night stand fell off wall and shot our drinks across the floor. Also prices were inflated because cheerleader comp in town. Paid almost double of last stay.

The room (one of the drive up units) was large, well equipped and clean. All good. But the TV was annoying as we couldn’t get the remote or otherwise to get the screen to go dark for sleeping and the plug-in was concealed behind the tv so we didn’t realize how to unplug. It was on annoyingly bright all night. And most frustrating was the poorly functioning EV charger. This was a deciding feature for us choosing this hotel and as a result our EV was not charged as needed for our trip home. That was an adventure. But the hotel breakfast was outstanding and staff were excellent in all respects.

Came to town spent Christmas with family. Checked into the hotel on 24 December. Upon my arrival, I had to kick the snow from in front of the door just to get in the room. The plough had went by. I would say several hours before because it was all ice and nobody shovelled it from the doors. I got in and got the room set up and realized how nasty the floor was. There was several white stains over the entire floor and footprints. Brought this to the attention of the front desk and asked them to please clean the room again. I then went to a family function and arrive back about 10 o’clock that night. When I get back to the room, somebody had been in the room and looked like they tried to clean. Unfortunately, they did not mop the floor as the white stains were still on the floor. I know they could’ve been removed because I did it myself. I brought this to the attention of the front desk yet again the next morning and was told “oh somebody must’ve walked on the floor when it was wet” On my first night, I asked somebody for management to contact me and now two weeks later I still have not heard from anyone

Check in staff were very nice. The room however was rundown, we were in one of the outside rooms/outside access. The door to the unit was literally hanging on by a few screws. You could see out through the door on the top, and down the side… at first I thought it didn’t close completely, and was unnoticed until the following morning when the sun was shining into the room from the door. If it was during the winter the room would have for sure filled with snow. We required extra towels because there were only 3 in the room and it was 4 of us.. 45 minutes later and two request we had the extra towels… housekeeping skipped our room and moved onto the next room for the morning. There is an area of mold in the bathroom ceiling as well as the soap dispenser hanging off the wall. We stayed at this hotel several years ago and it was not in this condition. Not sure what happened but certainly some repairs should be completed.

Never judge a book by its cover. Motel room section looks run down from exterior but inside rooms are modern and well-appointed. Walls are paper thin and can hear conversations in other rooms as if in their room. Restaurant and bar areas were very nice and staff super helpful. Plenty of gluten free options. At breakfast the chef even brought me a side order of baked beans. Hot options were limited but the omelette station was very good.

First off I will say that rating on staff alone, check in, etc, and the breakfast (omelets cooked to order!) I would give this place an EXCELLENT) The reason for low rating is because I booked through Expedia and didn’t realize I had booked an extended stay room, which is actually the old motel in back. Very old and outdated. The big screen TV was useless to watch because trouble with internet and it kept freezing or skipping. Bathroom lino coming loose, trippable, bathroom door wouldn’t latch, no bath towels. The main hotel is a convention centre and looked very nice. When booking make sure you don’t book the “extended stay” part. The back motel part either needs a major renovation or just remove entirely.

Nice kitchen and bathroom, comfy beds. The beds were supposed to be queen size but were only doubles. Quite small for 2 people not used to sharing. Wish this information was more standardized on travel websites.

I stayed in the Extended Stay section at the back of the main hotel. The main reason for my average rating is that the mattress in my room was very hard and extremely uncomfortable. I barely slept. Also a security latch had been removed from the door to my unit and the area where it had been located was not filed down properly and was very sharp and I cut my finger on it. I mentioned these things to the gentleman at the front desk staff who expressed concern and took note saying he would pass along that information. Also, I noticed that I was in an adjoining room and the door to that room had push lock knob and nothing else like a dead bolt which is not very secure On a positive note the location was very convenient and the staff were very friendly and professional. I also appreciated having a buffet breakfast included with the room. I was especially impressed with the lovely young man who greeted me when I entered the buffet area and asked if I would like him to make an omelette for me (which turned out delicious).

The breakfast was very good with a person making omelets to order. Our room was very nice inside but we were disappointed in the exterior. Beds were comfortable. We thought we were going to stay in the hotel but instead they assigned us a room in what looked like an old strip motel on their premises. Our door on the out side of our room had several dents on lower part of it which looked like someone was trying to kick it in.

The tv in our room didn’t work. Our room was an adjoining one so we could hear everything through the door to the next room. The breakfast was good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Booked through Expedia, arrived to find that there was a”glitch” and Best Western had no record of our “paid in advance” reservation. After a few minutes the lovely lady attendant at the front desk found it through the Expedia website. Although the reservation was found I was informed that the room with 2 beds wasn’t available, only a similar room with 1 king size bed. Not happy about this at all. If I’m paying a whomping $675 for 2 nights I should be getting what I paid for and I paid for 2 beds . Huge cheer weekend and had to take the room as there wasn’t any other options.

The level of service and attention has exceeded the 3 star level. Each contact with the establishment's personnel was a plwasure. The maintenance person was at our door step in less than two minutes and solved our issue with a large smile and extreme courtessy. Housekeeping is providing a very clean and comforting environment. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

We called the reception to complaint about a noise problem and they didnt do anything but when we went to drop or keys she told us we got a complaint from our room regarding noise problem. And i explain her we are the one who called us to complaint and the way she speak to us she was very rude

My stay was great initially, cleaning staff and manager are great, the room itself was great, but the front desk staff messed up my billing so bad, it caused a over 7 day long battle and multiple messed up refunds, a locked up bank account. The front desk staff all need to be retrained how to bill peoples cards properly and with proper permission.

This was a perfect overnight stay for us while touring around Nova Scotia. The area around the property is pretty commercial. It's fairly local to the highway, right across from a gas station, etc. However, less than a 5 minute drive you can get to the main street in town which has tons of cute shops/restaurants and is much more walkable. I found our room itself to be clean and updated. Breakfast the next morning had a big variety which was nice. I'd absolutely stay again if we were in the area.

Main Facility and Restaurant both were very well decorated and staffed. Front desk staff, housekeeping staff very efficient and helpful. Speciality egg chef at morning buffet was a nice extra. Centrally located - easy access to all areas for travel or touring.

I was surprised how nice it was for the cost! The room was perfect, clean, and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was kind and always available. Pool was clean, hot tub was out of order but c’est la vie. Super close to shops and walking distance from everywhere I wanted to go! Highly recommend, would stay again.

Nice motel. Nice beds in room. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with omelettes made to your choice. Staff were very friendly. We had an issue with the extractor fan in kitchenette area both nights where it came on unexpectedly at 8:30pm giving out very unpleasant cooking smells in room. Staff were helpful but this needs attention for future guests. All in all would highly rate the friendliness of staff. Good motel with nice restaurant and bar

Hard to find as behind the BW Hotel and operated by BW Hotel, but rooms clean, beautiful, great kitchen, comfortable beds, good location. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous with even an omelet station.

An aged hotel with modest updating. Been here numerous times over the years. While convenient, the food available at this hotel is sub-par in my opinion. Typical low-budget breakfast buffet and I found the lunch options, soups and sandwiches much the same.

Our room was quite nice, the kitchenette was a great addition. Breakfast included was good, another meat option beside sausage would be nice. Omelette station was delicious and the attendant there was very friendly, excellent customer service. Our last breakfast made us feel second rate, as it was Mother’s Day, we couldn’t use the restaurant, and had very few options that morning. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
