1) the breakfast was great. 2) everything was clean and neat 3) The carts for transporting bags were less than adequate. You need some tall carts allowing for suitcases and hanging valet bags. 4) Parking: For some reason 10 DHS trucks took up 10 spaces all the time.

A lovely stay in a lovely place. The TownePlace was a refreshing wonderful place to stay. It's been a long time since I had such a nice complimentary hotel breakfast. No wet eggs and soggy bacon here, rather fresh frittatas and scrumptious breakfast sandwiches. The staff was delightful. The pool was cool and crisp. The rooms were spotless and well climate controlled. Not only did we have a full kitchen in our suite but I was able to utilize a grill outside to make a perfect steak and grilled veggies for my tired family. I can be a smidge elitist when it come to hotels in small towns but this place would receive 5 stars almost anywhere.

The room was exceptionally clean & comfortable. Very spacious as well. I live locally & power was out for 3 days at our house, which caused us to stay in a hotel. The front desk was so kind, we brought our dog, and they were so welcoming. The woman at the front desk told us if we needed extra time the next day, it would be no problem. Quite a few residents of our mountain were there for the same reason & we all gathered at breakfast the next day. The breakfast offerings were awesome & fresh. Also extremely clean.

Couldn’t get the room I requested but that was ok took all of our stuff to the room they gave us with a luggage rack full the dog the elevator and get to the room and it hadn’t been cleaned. So back down to the desk we went.

very lovely and welcoming hotel in the Shenandoah valley. We went with a young child and a toddler. The hotel was happy to accommodate with a crib and extra towels. Clean room, clean and spacious shower, breakfast included - and, again, suited for children (oatmeal, granola, milk, yogurt). Location is perfect for a trip in that region. We will be glad to visit again.

After visiting Shenandoah for a day we stop for the night in this hotel. We arrived late. Very nice check in staff. Upon arriving in our room we noticed that both beds were low when seating. Later, we found that both mattresses made a horrible crashing noise when we got ready to sleep. Worst night ever. In the morning we reported the issue to the front desk.

This is one of the best Marriotts I have stayed in. We had a king room, and it was the perfect set up. There is a small kitchen which was a huge bonus. The bed was comfortable, and the walk-in shower was perfect. We will definitely stay here again!

Room itself was great. Our room was on the lower level across from the gym and next to the elevator. It was the only room located here as all of the other rooms were on the other hallway. We could hear the elevator when it was running and people going to the gym. If you get room 003 I would request a different room. While the room was clean and spacious it’s not in a great location.

The woman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful! The suite was very nice, our only problem was the AC in the bedrooms did NOT keep the rooms at a comfortable temperature. Although we didn’t have any, the breakfast seemed to have a nice selection.

This was a great hotel for our one night stay in Front Royal when we were going to Shenandoah National Park the next day. We didn’t need to use the stovetop and all the dishes as we were only there one night but it was nice to have real silverware there and a larger fridge freezer there if needed. We missed breakfast but it sounded like it was going to be your standard hotel breakfast. Property was nice and clean and the room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. I would stay here again.

The room was clean, updated and had all I could want. The breakfast variety was excellent. I must compliment both Emily and her co-worker, sorry I forgot her name. I asked if I could get the breakfast sandwich without cheese and she made the sandwich. Every day after that they remembered and made sure that I had a sandwich waiting for me. Even when I overslept they looked for me. The front desk person, Krisha was personable and professional.

Excellent stay option for visiting Shenandoah National Park. Well worth the extra 5-10 minutes drive to Park and downtown Front Royal from the hotels/inns in town for the much nicer room and convenience of a nice self-serve breakfast. Also, right off I-66 so easier and quicker to get to and depart from for your trip. Best thing about staying here is the friendly, efficient and excellent service provided by all the staff.

Couldn’t get the room I requested but that was ok took all of our stuff to the room they gave us with a luggage rack full the dog the elevator and get to the room and it hadn’t been cleaned. So back down to the desk we went.

There were charges to our room and I called to dispute the charges. The charges were not much - about $12.00 . My point to the manager is that we didn’t buy the snacks. She told me that we did and just forgot. I told her that we had brought so much food that we could feed an army. It’s a shame that she didn’t do more research to verify who did the purchases. Besides this we had a wonderful experience.

We were visiting Shenandoah National Park. This was fairly close to the northern entrance. It was located in a shopping area, so we could get snacks from Target and Walmart. There were several restaurants, both fast food and things like TGI Fridays.

Excellent stay option for visiting Shenandoah National Park. Very pleasant..... Staff in general were helpful... My one big problem was the milk on the breakfast buffet tasted off.... On the last day my husband drank from the small carton and it had curdled.....He was so sick couldn't drive far so we had to spend the night in another hotel on the way home because he was too sick to travel.... The experation date was fine but moving them back and forth is not a great idea....Suck it up and leave the for guest all day .. Also the juice should be left out.... Cutting corners doesn't say much.

Very clean, very friendly staff with many nice amenities… just one thing- there is a beautiful display banner that shows how amazing the breakfast is going to be. Don’t get me wrong- the food was good and the fruit was fresh- but it was just the basic run of the mill breakfast you would get at most hotels.

No luggage stand available. BBQ party area right in front of hotel. Loud and noisy for rooms near this area. AC is very loud. Room is clean and nice. Newer hotel. Breakfast items not well thought out or organized. Overall stay is nice just small annoyances

Would have rated it higher had it not been for the breakfast experience. Breakfast food area poorly laid out, trash can overflowing which was not appetizing, bacon was razor thin, and they took the coffee away when they closed down the breakfast area at 9:30. I don't think I can ever remember staying at a hotel where there was no coffee available in the lobby area that early in the day!
