Small Luxury Boutique Hotel Wilma J

We were very happy with our stay. The room is cosy, spotless and very functional. The room and check-in worked well, the staff were accommodating and friendly. On-sight parking is available and we were able to park across from our room. We visited family so didn't get the chance to use the restaurant but it looked good. Suggestions for improvement would be: TV instructions in other languages than Dutch, a small heater in the living room or the possibility of lighting the fireplace (it got chilly in the room for those sleeping on the sofa) and a bathroom door/enclosure.

Very disappointing. Firstly the hotel is not lakeside like it claims in the description. We didn't;t see any reviews when we booked this property severs months ago about the toilet being open plan with the bedroom. If we had we wouldn't have booked as there was absolutely no privacy. The breakfast is only served between 10 and 11am, which was way too late for us. We had to be on the road by 9.30 latest. I don't know any hotel which serves breakfast so late! We weren't offered any alternative like a packed breakfast or even a bread roll. The restaurant seems to be under new ownership. Great food, but not what is listed on their website, and no wine list ready so it was pot luck with the wine choice. Bike storage wasn't particularly secure either (we were travelling by bike).

We booked the Garden room specific for the SPA , but unfortunate the SPA was not working properly (water to cold because of defect). Other then that had a wunderfull time and a lovely dinner in the restaurant

Das Hotel besteht aus mehreren liebevoll restaurierten alten Gebäuden mit Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor dem Haus. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und groß genug für 2 Personen. Das Badezimmer ist schön groß. Wir wurden von der Gastgeberin sehr freundlich empfangen, mit einem super Frühstück und vielen Tipps versorgt. Was man wissen sollte ist: Die Treppe zu unserem Zimmer ist eng und sehr steil. Das Badezimmer ist ohne Tür und wenig Sichtschutz an den Wohnraum angeschlossen. Da wir das im Voraus wussten, haben wir einen eigenen Sichtschutz mitgebracht. Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen!

It is a really small hotel with 6 or 7 rooms. The hotel is located in a very nice and calm area but for the one how has not access to car it might not be the best option. The lady who works there is really lovely, social and nice. She tried all she could to prepare everything we needed. The way she treated us was the way you may treat your relatives and friends. The only point you may need to consider is that the room we stayed in was on the upper floor with a nice view and really tidy and fresh but the guests shall use a staircase which is a little narrow. The breakfast is not a continental breakfast but it was nice that she served it herself for us.

Came here for a 10 night stay and did an early check out due to lack of bathroom toilet door and windows being screwed shut. The sheets had stains on them and found a fake eyelash in between the sheets. I spoke to the owner Stan about the condition snd he came up with a bunch of lies stating thst the window were screwed shut due to historical building purposes. Residents in the neighborhood stated thst the place had been broken into. When we came for breakfast the person there was unfriendly and just stated, “ Get whatever’s here”. Which included 7 slices of worst and 12 strawberries and 11 pieces of watermelon. This for a total of 6 guest that were there. I noticed a kitchen in the back and asked if eggs were possible and he grunted yes. Scrambled eggs turned out like and an omelette and how I wanted my eggs wasn’t an option. I have to say he did offer coffee. I requested an early departure and Stan stated he could only give me back half of what I paid for the 10 night stay. So I stayed for the second night to find another more suitable place. Due to his generous offer I only paid $750 per night. The “10” ratings on this property have to be from Stan’s friends and or acquaintances. Either that or that must live in a cave. This place is a horrible and so is the staff.

The room looked as though it had not been cleaned in a very long time! And certainly not cleaned before our stay. There were cobwebs in every corner of every room and on all surfaces. The bedroom had cobwebs above the bed. The kitchen cupboards and handles had not been cleaned. We were too uncomfortable to use the kitchen and sleep in the bed. We took one look and decided not to stay here. If we could see this level of uncleanliness on the surface we were worried what else we may discover. The host offered to dust the room with a feather duster. But surely a room should be cleaned prior to the guests stay and not once the point out the dirt.

Fantastisk frukost ( kan varit den bästa frukosten vi ätit!) och bemötande! Bäddsoffan var lite obekväm och det var lite smutsigt under sängen. Jättetrevlig personal och ett ställe vi gärna åker tillbaka till!

Bra ställe och bra läge. Rummet var rymligt men med potential för rengöring och städning. Tvål saknades, hårschampo var avsedd för handtvätt. Bra säng! Romantisk med badkar i rummet. Frukosten var mkt bra.

However the suite. altough well equipped and nicely and elegantly furnished, in my opinion presents some serious issues: 1) Not possible to open any window in the living room area 2) The toilet has no window, no aerator, and no door....is located in a vane between the sleeping room and the living room. The only way to have some privacy is to close the door facing the living room and the door facing the sleeping room. 3) Cleanliness not as expected

Een plaatje van een hotel, een uitstekend ontbijt en alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Een aanrader.

Waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Kim machte alles in Eigenregie ohne weiteres Personal, das Frühstück war sehr reichlich und die Zimmer sehr sauber.

Mooie locatie, heerlijk bed, wel steile trap, en op zondagochtend om 8:15 uur al de kerkklokken maar ach verder een hele fijnen locatie en een top ontbijt

The room we stayed in was unbelievable very comfortable and beautiful room

Wij zijn hier 2 dagen geweest. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. Het hotel was netjes en zo,n 15 minuten van Amsterdam af. Wij zaten in de honeymoon zeer grote kamer met ligbad en douche . Goed bed dus prima verblijf gehad. Ik vind het een aanrader .

Fijne kamer, ruim, heerlijk bed, grote TV, en een badkamer met vrijstaand groot bad en een aparte regendouche. Heerlijk ontbijt in het gezellige restaurant met een eitje, croissantjes, versgebakken broodjes, volop vleeswaren, kaas en zoet beleg en zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Attached to the hotel is a very good restaurant and the breakfast which is also served there was lovely. Good location with many other restaurants nearby. The only downside was the very steep staircase to our room and getting our luggage up there, our cases were quite large - small weekend luggage would be easier

Heel mooie bed&breakfast met vriendelijk personeel en lekker ontbijt. Alleen is er zoveel herrie van buiten. Je hoort echt elke auto en voorbijgangers. Hierdoor kan je echt niet doorslapen. De overige bewoners waren ook duidelijk te horen.

Vriendelijk ontvangen, leuk gezellig verblijf en een lekker verzorgd ontbijt. Zeker een aanrader!!

Mooie kleinschalig hotel met erg vriendelijk en aardig personeel.

Owner made us feel welcome, was very helpful. We highly recommend this place.

Absolutely beautiful stay. Duncan was the loveliest host anyone could ask for. Fantastic accommodation, breakfast and area.

We loved our stay at hotel suites Wilma J. The building is historic and very charming. The town is very cute. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel is delicious. Duncan, the owner, met us upon arrival and is very kind. Kim, the housekeeper makes you the most delicious breakfast. The room we stayed in was spacious and the beds were comfortable. I would absolutely stay at the Wilma J again.

Nice stay and beautiful area

Super schönes altes kleines Hotel mit sehr viel Charme und unglaublich freundlichen Personal. Rings um das Hotel ist ganz viel Wasser und viele Wasserwege und nach Amsterdam braucht man ca. 20 Minuten

Liebevoll und individuell gestaltete Zimmer in einem besonderen Hotel in einer besonderen Umgebung. Wer ein Standardhotelzimmer erwartet ist erstmal sehr überrascht. Alles ist irgendwie anders, aber nicht schlechter… eher besser. Wenn man nach Vinkeveen fährt wundert man sich zuerst über den eigenartigen See und die Lage des Hotels. Wenn man dann genauer hinschaut ist es wahrscheinlich einer der Nobelvororte mit Luxusanwesen von Amsterdam. Das Hotel … bestimmt weit über 100Jahre alt bietet letztlich nur 4 Appartements mit sehr unterschiedlichen Einrichtungen. Alles ist liebevoll gestaltet und sehr individuell. Aufgrund von Renovierungsarbeiten haben wir ein Wahnsinniges Frühstück mit allem drum und dran auf unser Zimmer bekommen. Normalerweise gibt es das aber im dazugehörigen Gasthaus. Auch sonst sind die Eigentümer immer erreichbar und hilfreich wenn es um Wünsche geht. Wir fanden es toll und kommen vielleicht auch wieder.

Heerlijke plek om te overnachten! Wij waren hier voor een concert, binnen 15 minuutjes ben je bij de Ziggo Dome. Een fantastische gastvrouw, zo lief & hardwerkend!! Wij komen zeker terug als we weer in de buurt moeten zijn.

Adorable place. We stopped here the night before our flight out of the Amsterdam airport and it was perfect! They had a great restaurant and the area was nice and peaceful and relaxing.

Très belle découverte, joli village entouré de canaux et très proche d Amsterdam, a 15 minutes d un P+R, c est idéal !

Zeer tevreden, kleinschalig zeer persoonlijke en betrokken beheerster. Mooie accommodatie met hoogwaardige exclusieve meubelen, waaronder een comfortabele bank en boxspring. Zo ook het sanitair is zeker geen bouwmarkt-kwaliteit. Sfeervol en huiselijk ingericht zeker niet te vergelijken met een standaard goede hotelkamer. Het diner in het naastliggende restaurant is prijzig, maar zeker zijn geld waard. Heerlijk gegeten en er worden royale porties geserveerd. Kortom een aanrader.
