Nice place and quiet stay. Main issue I had was the sink water pressure was a trickle. But shower was good pressure so I made do. This is a nice hotel inside a country club inside a gated community. It’s very unique. They do need more signage for the hotel. It’s easy to walk in the country club lodge and miss the hotel part. The only real negative, other than the relatively uncomfortable, old mattress and box spring (needs updated), is that I requested a microwave for our room in both the special remarks of the booking and on the phone after to confirm the microwave again. By the time I checked in there wasn’t anyone avail to bring a microwave to the room. We enjoyed our stay, there’s just a few of these inconveniences that made it less than perfect. It’s a very beautiful location and it’s worth a visit for that reason alone.

Property staff was very friendly. This is a gated area and we had no problems getting in and out. The signage for the main entrance was not very direct, however, we were still greeted at the “wrong” entrance and told where we needed to go. Pool seemed very clean from what we could see, unfortunately did not get to use it. Minor cosmetics in the room and had to wait for hot water for a little over 5min. All in all it a gorgeous place to stay and will return if we are in the area.

The hotel is noble and humble being an old monastery and private boy's school. Unfortunately, I don't think it has had a refresh or renovation over the last 20 years or so. The tv, the furniture, the bathroom and the dorm fridge were all very old and dated and the fridge did not work. The food was very subpar whether it was breakfast or dinner. The highlight was the outdoor swimming pool experience. It was near 90 degrees each day and the pool was refreshing and clean. The pool area and amenities however, were not impressive. Old loungers and chairs and not nearly enough umbrellas for shade for guests. The girls waiting on guests throughout the pool area were very sweet and tried hard to make your stay great though. The highlight of the stay was the friendly staff and the STELLAR fireworks display on the night of the Fourth of July. Not kidding when I say some of the best I've seen in my life for a private display. We sat in the grass on the golf course and were almost directly under them, up close and personal. Overall, it was a good experience we won't forget but a tough sell to come back when there isn't an event like the Fourth to sell it with fireworks. They need to put just a little money in the rooms and pool and the food must be a higher quality than it currently is. Even kind staff cannot overcome its limitations.

There were buckets and pans all over the lobby to catch rain that was pouring in. There are hot tubs, as described, BUT there are not co-ed, men have to use one in their locker room, and women have a separate on in their locker room. Restaurants were not open, the spa/hot tubs, etc closed at 6pm. None of these details given in the overview or description of location.

Lots of amenities: gym, squash and tennis courts, aerobics, golf course and pool during the summer. Very quiet and comfortable stay during midweek. We wanted to extend our stay but the inn was booked for the weekend. If we are in the Canton area, we will book here again.

Very good sized room and comfortable beds but the room has not changed in twenty years. They still use room keys , but they only give you one. Staff very pleasant but they don’t seem to very much about this historical building and community. Also odd that for the three days we stayed there there was NO maid service. It was like we didn’t exist. The resort is beautiful and the pool and golf course excellent but the rooms need a refresh. Parking is free but there’s a $ 6.00 day gate fee , I guess to offset the cost of securing the entire resort and homeowners association.

Such a unique setting. The golf course views are amazing. The history of the old seminary is well preserved. We loved walking around in and out of the building. Great character of architecture. Lovely pool and grounds.

Though the Inn has charm and set on lovely grounds, it is old . It is dark, small lobby, elevator needed service, water pressure in bathroom sink was low, and you have to request everything you need, as I had no housekeeper enter my room for all four days we were there. I emptied my own trash,left it outside the door, and no one even replaced the trash bag. I’m not a demanding guest, so I managed with the soap and towels I had. I just expected more from an Inn at a country club with a Spa, pool, and nice restaurants. The friendliness of front desk staff was just average, sometimes I had to acknowledge them first to get attention. That is a turnoff. Not sure I’d choose to stay on our next visit to Ohio to visit family.

I like the fact that there were alot of shopping and restaurants conviently located close to the hotel. We didnt like the fact that this hotel kept running out of towels and washcloths because lack of housekeeping.....overall stay wasnt thart bad, but we did see like hair and a little uncleanliness in the room,but we thoroughly cleaned it ourselves.

The restaurant and bar were closed but not mentioned on the website. The room refrigerator freezer was needing defrosted badly. The shower curtain had quite a bit of mold on it. Not updated, few outlets and no USB ports. The front desk man was very hospitable.

I made a call to the front desk first night I stayed and discovered white crusty substance on the fitted sheet. Sinks did not drain either. No clean and no help on the two items I told front desk on. The hotel was spacious and has one of the best fitness/spa I’ve ever used. Full weight room full cardio rooms full steam and sauna rooms

This property is so promising online, but was a disappointment in reality. Arriving at the property, we were so impressed with the grounds and the building, to include the entrance to the Inn. The receptionist, Keith (or Kevin) was very gracious and pleasant. He gave us some of the history of the Inn and offered to show us around the building. It is a very historic property! We got to our room and reality kicked in. The room was average, at best. Furnishings were dated and worn. There was rubbish in the bathroom trash can. The handle of the night stand was broken off and we were unable to completely close the blinds due to their condition. Bathroom walls and sink had dirt and debris on them and the overhead tiles showed significant water stains. Unfortunately for us, there are few services available on a Monday. We had to venture into town to find dinner and there was no breakfast available on Tuesday morning, either. Even the golf course pro shop and pool had no refreshments available.

The personnel are very friendly and helpful, but the problems known to management (dripping faucet, a tub drain that fails to hold water in tub, one-way bulbs in three-way sockets that make the lamps appear not to function when the wall switch is used, inadequate light generally and difficulty finding a socket to plug in a CPAP machine near a bed, not to mention that the TV was not plugged in when we arrived, but that seeing the outlet to solve that particular problem was difficult without a flashlight) do not seem to be a high priority. The setting is idyllic, but the place needs some TLC for the rooms it makes available to hotel guests.

Such a beautiful property. The staff was very cordial, too. The room was spacious and so quiet. It was just what I needed after being on a business trip for over a week. I slept so well. Dinner was wonderful. I ate on the outside patio and the surrounding grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The next time I stay, I will bring my bathing suit as the pool looked amazing. The only change that I could have wished for would be that they offer breakfast during the week.

This property needs updated and repaired. The first room they put us in, the toilet didn’t work. They moved us to another room, and told us it was the last available room, the air conditioning didn’t work in the second room. When we let the staff know the air wasn’t working, no apology or offer to compensate us in any way. The front desk staff was explaining to each guest that checked in that the locks on the room doors were difficult to work, and how to get into the rooms. I heard multiple people asking for assistance to get into their rooms. The Bertram needs to invest some money in updating the basics of the facility. There was a charge for parking, and the parking lot was clearly older, faded parking lines, dimly lit, no assigned parking. The check in staff were friendly and helpful at arrival.

Stayed here one night for a 10k race with a friend. We decided to book it again for our next 5k race in June. The staff was so great. My friend forgot her charging cube and the front desk attendent let her use her own for the night. The hotel is in a gated community and has an interesting history. We liked this place at a country club a lot, lots of character. Front desk staff was very friendly. I think they are short staffed, trash was full in the room when we got there. The view of the golf course from patio dining was fabulous, food was pretty good too. We thought it was an unexpected find on hotels.com, but using this app is new to us, so maybe not?

I checked in around 5:00 PM and left about 20 min later. Came back about 10:30 PM . The room was cold 62 degrees. I kept turning up the heat but after an hour it was only 64. I called front desk and they looked for another room ( the night girl was very pleasant and helpful) At midnight I was moved to a warm room. In the AM , in my room I stepped on a stink bug . I like the fact that there were alot of shopping and restaurants conviently located close to the hotel. We didnt like the fact that this hotel kept running out of towels and washcloths because lack of housekeeping.....overall stay wasnt thart bad, but we did see like hair and a little uncleanliness in the room,but we thoroughly cleaned it ourselves.

It's a beautiful property. The room was clean, spacious and well-appointed. Check in was slow. Staff seemed confused about my reservation. Room service wasn't great. The food was ok, but they never returned to clean up the dishes. Even after I called.

Such a beautiful property. The staff was very cordial, too. The room was spacious and so quiet. It was just what I needed after being on a business trip for over a week. I slept so well. Dinner was wonderful. I ate on the outside patio and the surrounding grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The next time I stay, I will bring my bathing suit as the pool looked amazing. The only change that I could have wished for would be that they offer breakfast during the week.

I made a call to the front desk first night I stayed and discovered white crusty substance on the fitted sheet. Sinks did not drain either. No clean and no help on the two items I told front desk on. The hotel is noble and humble being an old monastery and private boy's school. Unfortunately, I don't think it has had a refresh or renovation over the last 20 years or so. The tv, the furniture, the bathroom and the dorm fridge were all very old and dated and the fridge did not work. The food was very subpar whether it was breakfast or dinner. The highlight was the outdoor swimming pool experience. It was near 90 degrees each day and the pool was refreshing and clean. The pool area and amenities however, were not impressive. Old loungers and chairs and not nearly enough umbrellas for shade for guests. The girls waiting on guests throughout the pool area were very sweet and tried hard to make your stay great though. The highlight of the stay was the friendly staff and the STELLAR fireworks display on the night of the Fourth of July. Not kidding when I say some of the best I've seen in my life for a private display. We sat in the grass on the golf course and were almost directly under them, up close and personal. Overall, it was a good experience we won't forget but a tough sell to come back when there isn't an event like the Fourth to sell it with fireworks. They need to put just a little money in the rooms and pool and the food must be a higher quality than it currently is. Even kind staff cannot overcome its limitations.

Just ok, odd situation where there’s a private country club with members and hotel guests. Everyone was friendly, however, nothing about the amenities and what we did or didn’t not have access to as guests was ever explained by the staff.
