Excellent property as expected. Valet was not available. Walked around the building to see someone at front desk. No one was there. Had to call the property to see if someone could come out and help us. That was a negative. The building and the amenities are perfection. Clean and top of the line.

Beautiful hotel with every single detail made intentional. We loved our room, the furniture and decor, and all the amenities. Communication with the staff was excellent, and the service was very fast. Thank you to the staff for being so kind and accommodating! The pool area is too small and doesnt have much seating so we werent able to go swimming in the sun, and parking should be included for the price of the hotel. The restaurants are very pretty and food & drinks were tasty, but overpriced for what it is. Overall, I would still recommend staying here for a calm luxury experience, but be prepared to spend lots if eating on-site.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Staff all very friendly. Rooms beautiful. Would recommend using the rooftop pool. Gym downstairs well equipped too, don’t forget to take a towel if you’re using the steam room in the changing rooms down there. Would definitely return.

The housekeeping staff first emptied my trash bin and then, without washing her hands, proceeded to make my bed. This made me very concerned about the hygiene standards of your hotel. I couldn’t even sleep well that night because I felt the bed linens were unclean.

1Hotel is amazing. The aesthetics, attention to detail and sustainability practices are top notch. The staff are incredibly attentive. The rooms are very clean and stylish. This is our second visit in 3 months. It’s definitely my first and dare I say only choice for Toronto.

A wonderful 5 star experience. Truly a beautiful hotel. There was a bit of dry wall dust in our little room with the toilet and the sliding door was off the tracks too… not a huge deal but just worth noting. Would definitely return. Thanks so much 1 Hotel!

Excellent experience staying at 1 hotel. Very clean hotel and very attentive staff with easy communication via text. Loud neighbours partying in middle of night next door keeping us up but as soon as we notified the hotel staff they ensured the problem was resolved quickly.

The hotel was generally good, but did not necessarily meet my expectations for a five star hotel. For example, in our washroom, the hand held shower head was faulty and did not work properly. The room was also smaller than expected and didn’t look exactly like the photos advertised on the website. The service was also generally good, but we didn’t feel like it was great. For example, we got 1 pm complimentary check out in the morning, but a hotel staff member went into our room at around 12:30 pm to ask when we’re planning on checking out. This was odd since we already received confirmation from front desk in the morning for late check out and a new room key too. Overall, the hotel was good but did not exceed our expectations considering the high price point.

Over all my stay was great! Check in process was super easy, i was upgraded to a room with a balcony even though the view was not that impressive (there was windowed facade outside so I could really only look up for a view.) The room itself was very comfortable as wes the bed. The room supposedly has heated floors, though I did not notice anything even with having the button on for about half an hour.

We really liked the neighborhood location. And it was a convenient walk to many different areas. Our room facing Wellington was a bit noisy but the rooms were very nicely appointed with a lot of modern features. It has an excellent vibe at nighttime.

Room service was poorly handled—no tray was provided, and when I called to request one and arrange a pickup, neither was done, so the plates were left overnight. I also had trouble getting staff to collect them the next morning. The Terrace Suite had no screen door, which led to a lot of mosquitoes getting in during my stay. Overall, a beautiful property, but communication and attention to detail need improvement.

Hotel is gorgeous but unfortunately we won’t be returning due to the never ending noise issues we experienced in an upgraded room. Spoke to the manager upon check out to relay our concerns, he was supposed to get in touch later on today but hasn’t. All we were offered was $100 off our final bill which wasn’t acceptable as we were placed in a room with known noise issues. Beware of the terrace rooms, especially if you’re nearby the exit/entrance to the terrace level. It was a literal nightmare that lasted all evening and into the early Morning.

I had few txt exchanges on two separate days and asked hotel to leave a welcome note for my 6yr old son as it was just first time in Canada/ Toronto. I was assured it will happen, but then it never happened in the Fri/sat/sun that we were there - pretty disappointed. Also valet parking - make sure you have buffer of 15 mins of waiting as that’s how long it tends to take for them to come take the car - the valet spot was not attended while we were there. For the first reason will be unlikely to stay at this hotel again.

I always choose the 1 Hotel when I need a place to stay in the city, and every experience has been better than the last. From check in to check out, the polite, accommodating staff really go the extra mile however they can. Couldn’t recommend the hotel enough. Thanks!

Great ambience at 1 Hotel. The staff was very polite and accommodating. The restaurant options in the hotel were wonderful. We had dinner at Harriet’s Rooftop and brunch at Casa Madeira. Both were amazing. The lobby is beautiful and a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee.

Very good communication from the staff, great location as it’s downtown and in the mix. A bit loud at night as our room was facing king and Bathurst. Other than that it was a great experience. In suite massage and multiple dining/drink options. Would visit again.

I really enjoyed my stay at 1 Hotel. The service was impeccable and made my first trip to Toronto a safe and comfortable one. The rooms are clean, inviting, and spacious, and the common areas are beautifully kept. My only issue with my stay was outside of the hotel’s control, but still disappointing nonetheless. The building directly across from the hotel and the one next to it are undergoing construction currently and extremely noisy. I woke up to sounds so loud it shook my window. It was disappointing because I loved everything about the property, aside from my inability to sleep in on vacation. Regardless, I would stay again, once the work has been completed.

the breakfast was super expensive and it wasn’t good. the coffee was actually awful. totally different than my last breakfast when i stayed there but the room was incredible and the staff are all top notch. i love this hotel. sad about the subpar breakfast experience but otherwise wonderful.
