Property was super clean which is a big thing for our family. Location was excellent with the beach & boardwalk right there along with mini-golf, ice cream & food places. Staff was friendly & awesome. Property was a great doo-wop experience/vibe, clean pool & hot tub area, great hang out room with pool table & big screen smart tv options with plenty of seating that my kids loved, vending machines & free breakfast/ice, complimentary bikes. This place is great all around and we'll definitely be staying here often.

The staff misled me twice—once the day before I arrived and again at check-in—saying the hot tub and pool were available when they were not. When I checked for myself, there was no sign of “tile maintenance” as claimed: no tools, and neither the pool nor hot tub was drained. It seemed more like staff didn’t want to monitor swimmers that evening. With no amenities, my wife and I had nothing to do but sit in our room watching TV. At check-in, we were told breakfast was from 7–10 a.m., but the next morning it wasn’t ready until 8. Staff seemed confused and at times rude. For example, I was told the bikes were unlocked, only to find them locked. I had to return, then carry a bike out from a pile while the employee watched without offering help, putting my back at risk. I would not return to this hotel.

Great Family Weekend at Star Lux ! Check in was fast and friendly on Friday night. Our room was clean and beds comfortable. The heated pool was amazing in the morning. All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is steps from the boardwalk. All restaurants and shops are walking distance. Parking was convenient and safe well lit lot. We will for sure be staying here again.

We stayed in one of the small rooms and it was perfect! About the same of a standard bedroom, perfect for 2 people and some luggage. A nightstand would have been great! But the close proximity to the beach, the pool, the hot tub, the free beach chairs, the free bicycles available made this the perfect stop! Loved it, will be back again.

Very satisfying… Staff was very polite and helpful… It was downtime… So not that crowded… We got the small little yellow house in the back… Which we were totally fine with… Very comfortable… And the bed and the pillows were great… The hot tub was awesome… And the pool was great temperature as well… Although we didn’t use them… They offered free beach chairs , bicycles , boogie boards were available as well… Miniature golf right next-door… Beach across the street… Coffee station right next-door… Breakfast right across the street… Ice cream right across the street… And a very reasonable price…👍👍💯

The cottage is pretty sweet. The room is definitely small, and the TV is small too, but otherwise it was nice; comfortable bed, mini fridge, quality shower head/flow, even a balcony. It's really close to the boardwalk in an excellent location, too. Considering that you get use of the other hotel amenities, like loaner bikes and beach chairs and use of the pool and hot tub, it's a great value.

The Starlux was clean, very friendly staff and a great location. The pool was lovely - and heated which was great given that the temp dropped quite a bit the week we were there. There are beach chairs and bikes available at no extra charge which was wonderful. We would stay there again for sure.

The hotel was just off the boardwalk, so it was very convenient to the beach, shopping and dining. The rooms were very clean and loved the vintage decor. The tile in the bathroom is a little older, but adds to the vintage feel. Pool is heated which is a nice bonus when the ocean water is still cold. Free continental breakfast was a nice unexpected surprise.

We stayed at this property in January, 2024, on our way to Florida and before taking the Cape May / Lewes ferry. The room was clean. However, the room was cold because the door, which opened to the outdoors, did not have weather stripping along the bottom of the door. the gap was at least 1/2 inch. The room should not have been rented to us. Also, the room was too small for the amount & size of furniture. Probably a great room & location in the warmer months.

This business stay was an amazing experience. The hotel is classic. As soon as I entered my room I immediately thought of the Jetsons. The room looked like it was built in 1950 but it was immaculate. Plenty of towels and all of the amenities that anyone could ask for. A great hotel and highly recommended.

Nice surprises were a cute free breakfast with coffee/juice from 8-10am And streaming tv ( no DVD player) In room lava lamp is adorable. Not-so-nice things I didnt appreciate that the partial ocean view was mostly of the parking lot and dumpsters In room coffee maker is awful!! Even though 58 degrees outside at night, the fire pit wasn’t on? I was told the fire pit isnt on during summer- yet fall began 2 days ago in 2025… Overall, cute little room (king suite 310) and nice stay considering off season. I would never stay in season because outside noise was quite disruptive of loud motorcyles and garbage trucks.

Our stay was very good at the Starlux hotel, Mr. Bob and the staff were very welcoming and helpful, because this was our first time staying there, it was great to be welcomed and the service was excellent. We will be staying here again.

Your manager, Bob that runs the front desk he’s a very great person. I love this personality. Bob did not have no issues upgrading my room to make me and my family comfortable. Great Family Weekend at Star Lux ! Check in was fast and friendly on Friday night. Our room was clean and beds comfortable. The heated pool was amazing in the morning. All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is steps from the boardwalk. All restaurants and shops are walking distance. Parking was convenient and safe well lit lot. We will for sure be staying here again.

Place felt clean and staff were always present and available. A little further than I'd like to walk to the middle pier of the boardwalk (where my kids spent most of their time) but worth the trade-off in having a clean hotel room that was walkable to good restaurants and had ample parking that wasn't too tight.

Had a blast during a late-September trip to Wildwood. The boardwalk and restaurants were within walking distance, so it was convenient. A lovely retro hotel with clean rooms and a kind staff.

Great location close to mini golf, ice cream, the beach and boardwalk. Walkable to a lot, we didn’t have to move our car at all. Loved that we could borrow beach chairs, and get a discount at Morey’s Piers. At the end of the day the room is a traditional motel room. It just happens to be in a great location with a nice aesthetic , cool vibe, warm hot tub, and pretty awesome faux palm trees. We will be back!

The staff misled me twice—once the day before I arrived and again at check-in—saying the hot tub and pool were available when they were not. When I checked for myself, there was no sign of “tile maintenance” as claimed: no tools, and neither the pool nor hot tub was drained. It seemed more like staff didn’t want to monitor swimmers that evening. With no amenities, my wife and I had nothing to do but sit in our room watching TV. At check-in, we were told breakfast was from 7–10 a.m., but the next morning it wasn’t ready until 8. Staff seemed confused and at times rude. For example, I was told the bikes were unlocked, only to find them locked. I had to return, then carry a bike out from a pile while the employee watched without offering help, putting my back at risk. I would not return to this hotel.

Nice surprises were a cute free breakfast with coffee/juice from 8-10am And streaming tv ( no DVD player) In room lava lamp is adorable. Not-so-nice things I didnt appreciate that the partial ocean view was mostly of the parking lot and dumpsters In room coffee maker is awful!! Even though 58 degrees outside at night, the fire pit wasn’t on? I was told the fire pit isnt on during summer- yet fall began 2 days ago in 2025… Overall, cute little room (king suite 310) and nice stay considering off season. I would never stay in season because outside noise was quite disruptive of loud motorcyles and garbage trucks.

This is a good place to stay with very easy walk to the boardwalk. You can get discounts at Moreys and there is a light continental breakfast included. Rooms are small but work and lean into the 60s theme (my daughter loved our pink bathroom!). Bikes and beach equipment also available for no extra cost.

I loved the cottage room. It was bigger than I expected. Very clean and comfortable. Exellent continental breakfast with hot oatmeal, bagels, juice and danish. I would LOVE to stay again!

Horrible section of the hotel …almost on the road (noise) no water pressure ; climatisation noise like a tank entering n the room . Only bagel no toast for breakfast . Full of ado yelling all the time . Room smells javel water . Only positive point was the bed

We loved our stay at the Star Lux Hotel! The concierge and staff were all very helpful and friendly. We stayed for 5 nights. My family enjoyed the pool! We were there for 4-5 hours out of the day! Every picture we took in front of the building turned out amazing.We loved the location. The details were incredible. Two suggestions for improvement would be having some items at the continental breakfast other than bread items. Maybe hard boiled eggs? My daughter loved the hotel so much she resisted going out to the restaurant for breakfast and I am used to having some protein for breakfast. The second would be to have more rental bikes on hand (and some even smaller ones for the young sturdy bikers) and rent them for an hour and a half. It was too hard to rent a bike small enough for my daughter at the bike rental and get the hotel bike back in time. While we were staying at the hotel my daughter was asking when we could come back again. It was a complete hit!

The hotel was just off the boardwalk, so it was very convenient to the beach, shopping and dining. The rooms were very clean and loved the vintage decor. The tile in the bathroom is a little older, but adds to the vintage feel. Pool is heated which is a nice bonus when the ocean water is still cold. Free continental breakfast was a nice unexpected surprise.

The only thing that was a challenge was the water pressure in the bathroom sink. I kept forgetting to say something because every staff member I met was kind, friendly, and helpful. Shout out to Joann who walked us to our room when I came back a second. The courtesy, clean room, clean pool, and walking distance to the beach made me forget about a small thing. The bikes, beach chairs, and pool towels were lovely as well as the on site laundry service. Our family vacation turned into unexpected warm, welcoming, clean and safe experience. Highly recommended without reservation.

This was a great hotel stay. For a high traffic hotel near the beach I was expecting the room to be dated but it wasn't and it was clean and well maintained. Proximity to beach and boardwalk is great. My kids loved the large pool and hot tub. I would stay here again.

I was looking for a short get a way in the Wildwoods for some R&R. What I found was a gem of a location, a throw back to old school hospitality in 60's retro hotel with all the modern amenities of 2026. BOOM! Great location, clean rooms, great pool, parking on site, cool vibes and amazing staff. Colleen gets a shout out as a dream of a hotel Mgr. She and her staff are polite, helpful and truly nice people. I will recommend the StarLux Hotel to anyone needing a fun friendly feel. A true Jersey gem. ****
