A really special place, right across from the ocean waves. The hotel is a beautifully restored 17th c house at the front and the hotel rooms along the back. The rooms are simple but well-furnished. The grounds include many green spaces and a lovely salt water infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. I particularly enjoyed the common rooms decorated with special ceramics and lovely comfortable furniture. A great place to read, work or relax, especially at cocktail hour when the self-serve bar cart means you can sit on the terrace with a glass and enjoy the sound of the waves. The owner is on site and is gracious and helpful with advice and recommendations. Breakfast includes freshly prepared eggs and bacon--crispy like in the USA. Just note that although it is walkable along the road to town, the roads are narrow, and accommodating pedestrians is not the major objective.
