Cozumel Hotel & Resort All Inclusive

Location is everything. Our divers get picked up on our dock, walking along the water way to dinner and shopping. The staff is very good when you need something. The pool I believe is the largest on the island. Plus they have a snorkeling beach area in front of the hotel.

The property is beautiful and always clean. You have to take a tunnel to the beach and some eating areas. I was worried about being claustrophobic but had no difficulties! You can always walk across the street if you can not manage the tunnel stairs.

Place was clean, dive shop was connected and dock was right out front. Room had no wifi and basically flooded from the floor drain if you used the shower, food was limited option and on the lower end of what I’ve seen from resorts.

Wonderful property with many amenities including snorkeling on site There is waiters all throughout the property offering drinls or food. Nothing extra all beds and hammocks beachfront free.

Positive experience, clean, friendly staff, large outdoor pool, nice outdoor hot tub, access to the ocean to snorkel and swim, chairs to relax on the sand (no beach access, but stairs into the water).

food was buffet style but usually good, breakfasts were excellent. Room was basic but clean. Pool was awesome and staff around the pool were attentive. Probably not a fancy enough resort for some folks but for a family vacation it's an excellent choice. We don't dive but folks that do would find it an excellent choice also. Dive boats left regularly from right across the street.

Great resort for scuba diving or for anyone wanting to spend time around the (gorgeous) pool. There isn’t a “beach” but there are plenty of lounge chairs and hammocks on sand right above the ocean. There’s also a walkway down into the ocean for swimmers. BRING BUG SPRAY. Mosquitos are prevalent around the ocean/outdoor eating areas. Food had a great variety

This is the 7th time we have stayed at this property. We originally went for our divers convenience. Now we really enjoy so much more. The staff, the largest pool on the island, a beach, open air restaurant on the water, walking and shopping, dining all in our area.

Très bon resort 3 étoiles et demi! La nourriture est bonne, le personnel très gentil. Le resort est pas récent mais c'est très propre. C'est un bel endroit pour le snorkling car la plage est inexistante. La baie naturelle ou l'on peut se baigner est assez creuse, je ne recommanderais pas avec de jeunes enfants. Bon à savoir : tous les repas sont pris à l'extérieur donc ca peut devenir très chaud. Le Wi-Fi est limité. Il y a peu d'animation le soir. C'est à environ 20 minutes de marche du centre de Cozumel, agréable le soir.

The Cozumel Hotel and Resort was an incredible place to stay for myself and my family. We reserved two standard rooms with a pool view. What we loved: The staff were accommodating and went above and beyond to provide activities and entertainment, hourly. Evening shows were spectacular! The pool is heated, and the indoor and outdoor spaces are aesthetically pleasing. Our favorite part about the room was a hammock by the sliding glass door, which provided beautiful access to the patio and views of the pool. There is no beach, but there is a beautiful sandy area and the ocean is easily accessible with instant snorkel opportunities right off the shore. Not to mention, the hotel has complimentary snorkel gear for the whole family. What we thought was just OK: The food kept us fed, but after a full week of eating there, the selection felt limited. We absolutely loved all the servers and chefs, though. What we didn't enjoy at all: The bathrooms had layers of paint and mold. The showers and toilets weren't the best to say the least. The smell of mildew deep in the halls was almost unbearable at times. If you're looking for affordability, The Cozumel experience, safety and fun, along with the all inclusive package, this hotel is absolutely a great option.

This place is worn out. The towels were disgusting and had stains on them. The sheets were disgusting and covered and stains. Just the whole property from start to finish, looks like it hit his prime about 30 years ago. None of the water sports equipment that they pictured and show online do they actually have at the facility. We were very, very disappointed to spend our short excursion here. If we had known they didn’t have things like jet skis and scooters, like they had in their pictures, we never would have come here. Overall it’s two star hotel in Mexico with two star food and a 4 star spot to beach dive.

This hotel is consistently clean with helpful, friendly staff. The outdoor pool is huge! It’s close enough to walk in to town or a short cab ride. Nice to get picked up for diving I. The dock and breakfast starts at 7 to allow you time to grab some food if you want before diving.

No servia el aire acondicionado, hotel muy viejo.. Camas en mal estado.. Tv super pequeña.. En general la habitacion olia a humedad.. El baño un asco y la tina literal se cae a pedazos..

Not a very clean hotel. Staff was not friendly at all. A simple good morning would have been nice

Overall, staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Good security, felt safe. Food was great, fresh and big selection. Hotel is quiet and clean, you can see staff always cleaning. Pool activities and shows. Snorkeling available for free. It does need a little cosmetic work and updating, not a five star hotel but the staff is 5 star. If you’re looking for a nice, quiet and affordable place to stay with great service, this hotel is for you. Would stay there again.

Room was clean and comfortable and the A/C was great.

The room was very dirty and run down. Shocking for a Wyndham property. The entire property is dated and tired. I booked based off the last 10 reviews which were all 10/10. I can only assume those were purchased reviews? There’s no possible way someone would rate is 10/10. The food was bland. On the positive side the staff was wonderful, attentive and kind. I came to check out property for future vacations and possible business meeting. So disappointed.

Pros: Perfect spot for snorkeling, beautiful reef right at the hotel. Cons: There is no wifi in the room, also no Netflix in the room. The showers doesn't have hot water.

For just over $80 per night, the Cozumel Hotel and Resort is a budget-friendly all-inclusive, but with clear trade-offs. It’s about $15 from the airport, though drivers still refer to it as the Wyndham, hinting at past ownership. The area isn’t great, and the property looks very dated with cracks in the driveway and buildings. Check-in was slow and confusing: a $120 deposit, a $5 ECO fee, and even a photocopy of my passport. Though rooms are supposed to be ready by 3 PM after a 12 PM checkout, mine wasn’t and I waited another 30 minutes but the front desk was trying their best. The lobby felt odd, with random shops mixed in like a small bazaar. The staff, however, were extremely friendly—using a little Spanish is appreciated. I got my bracelet right away, which helped me access food and amenities immediately after landing. The food and drinks were decent for the price, though dining across a main highway was inconvenient. The room was okay but dated. Housekeeping tried their best, but the décor and furniture weren’t impressive. Oddly, there was a hammock inside. Pillows were excellent, but amenities were lacking: no face or more than one hand towel, one very worn bath towel, and unlabeled soap and shampoo that looked refilled. The worst part was the nonexistent Wi-Fi despite being advertised, and mosquitos everywhere—I killed at least ten before bed. Overall, it’s a no-frills option about 3+ miles from the airport. Not bad for the price, but manage expectations.

I’ve been staying here for years. The staff are excellent. Hotel is nice. What’s disappointing is this year in my room they took the dressers out. So there was really no place to store your clothes

I also enjoyed the variety of food and drinks offered. There were a few things I didn’t like. My room was clean, but it felt quite outdated, and that was very noticeable. I also didn’t receive towels until the last day of my stay, so at first I thought towels were not provided at all. Another downside is that there is no internet in the rooms, only in the common areas, and the signal there is very weak. Additionally, I was initially given a different room than the one I had reserved. I had to request a change, and while the staff was friendly and helpful, there was a strong expectation of tips for every service. When tips weren’t given each time, the change in attitude was noticeable.

The rooms are small but the AC works great. The pool is huge. The resort is definitely showing its age. It is a little dark. Location is good for exploring downtown.

Please put the dressers back into the rooms. Not very happy with no where to put your clothes when you have 2 or more persons in a room you have to live out of your suitcase :/

The food was amazing at all the places we ate. The pool was perfect. The rooms are well maintained. The only reason this visit didn’t get 5 stars is the beds are HORRIBLE. It was worse than sleeping on the floor. I’m stiff and miserable, but the stay was great otherwise.

Staff and service was excellent, food was fine, summer rates made the hotel a great value but room are long in the tooth, no longer any dresser or table but a fridge and wifi was terrible outside the lobby while it has always been great in the rooms over past years. Very diver friendly hotel pier for pickup by independent providers.

The hotel was clean and the room comfortable. The staff is efficient and friendly. The standouts are Suni (hotel activities) - she is bubbly, super friendly and a real sweetheart to talk to. And Miriam (reception), friendly, efficient and always a great smile. Would definitely stay here again.

Great staff and food.

Cozumel Hotel and Resort brands itself as a 4-star tourist resort. That is highly misleading considering worn amenities and rooms, very small TVs, missing upkeep and lack of in-room WiFi is clearly below par. 3 star is generous. Note: we are in Cozumel once a year, sometimes twice a year which gives us a reasonable frame of reference. On the positive side, rooms are kept very clean, we liked the food and the staff is very nice, with the noteworthy exception of the front desk manager who was surprisingly rude. All in all, it is a legitimate dive resort no ifs and buts, it is not a 4-star resort, and the front desk manager would benefit from adhering to basic forms of respectful interactions.

This was my fourth time staying at Hotel Cozumel. This stay was a little disappointing. Staff was not as friendly and welcoming as before. Food was pretty terrible. Room could have been cleaner. Sad to see this has gone downhill so much. Will consider staying elsewhere on our next trip.

The staff was incredible. We really enjoyed the fire show as the Thursday night entertainment.

The staff goes above and beyond. Rooms are super clean, great location just south of THE MEGA. Its such a great place and location this is our 4th 8 day this year. Highly recommend it.

Jaunita was phenomenal, very helpful and led some really great activites like snorkeling and darts and bracelet making! She was certainly a highlight of the trip :) Edgar was absolutely lovely, very personable and made every moment out in the pool area fun. From playing trivia to water aerobics, he was phenomenal! Loved the whole staff, everyone was very helpful and funny, with great suggestions on what to do and where to go. It was a lovely resort to spend a lazy week.

The staff is absolutely wonderful!! Close enough to walk to town,, or ride in taxi for about $7 USD. You can barrow snorkeling gear if you didn’t bring your own. The snorkeling is absolutely wonderful!! My only complaint would be the beds, they are rock hard. I would definitely stay again .

Pro's: Property was nice & in great location for no noise, but a quick trip to town. Pool was awesome. Staff was friendly. Breakfast had great selection. Lunch & dinner was okay. Con's: Room didn’t have air conditioning & it was very humid. Seen mold on sheets. Bring a wash cloth. Bathroom was not in best condition. We think? the toilet was leaking & keeping the floor wet. Tub was not clean.

Nice, huge pool. Could use more shade, umbrella’s would be nice. Hotel entertainment was actually pretty good! Room could use some updates, drawers off their glide. Buffet food is ok but predictable. Special event food better. Staff and management all very nice. Wi-Fi only in common areas, not good in rooms-should be updated.

The pool is a selling point of this property. The food is nothing to get excited about. The mexican night was the best food and entertainment night of the week. I miss the days you could order food pool side chair. They now have a limited menu and you have to sit at a table to order food for lunch or go to ther side for buffet style.

Giving this property 2.5 stars. It was clean and quiet, don’t get me wrong, but we had hot water 2 of the 4 days there. Nothing could be done about that. The alcohol is very watered down, and I’m not much of a drinker so that says something. The breakfast was palatable, but you can definitely tell food was reused. Dinner was awful and the only other restaurant onsite was closed down by their health department. Your pool towels are rationed… not making that up. You are given a ‘towel card’ and cannot have a pool towel without exchanging that for the towel. You only get 4 slots to exchange towels. Don’t take your eyes off your towel because if it gets picked up by hotel staff and you need another one, you will be directed to the front desk who will tell you it costs $5 to replace your towel card. I had to argue with them that it wasn’t my fault my towel was picked up by staff so they reluctantly let me have another one. When I went back next day to exchange my pool towel for a clean one, they pointed out I only had one more opportunity to exchange my towel (four slots… they are serious about taking note of each rooms towel usage.. again I promise I’m not making this up). Also, the towels (pool and hotel room) are so old they are crunchy/rough. The hot tub was not hot, like, at all. Bubbles were there, but the water was not warmed up. You have to be out of the pool at 9pm. No such thing as wash clothes either. Asked for two days and was given hand towels to use instead.

Everyone at the resort was amazing! The food is not great… you do get tired of eating the same things daily. Their options are not great. The entertainment can use work as well… but the hotel is very clean and the staff is incredible.

From the reservation that I made, the drinks and meals are included. What I am very unhappy about is how bland and limited there was to choose in the buffet or menu. Drinks were fine, just the food. For breakfast, I did not like how the pastries or fruits did not have a clear covering, so all flies were on them.

The quality of food has declined over the last few years. Instead of concentrating on American food choices, include items that represent the more local known items. The indoor dining is not a pleasant experience and the lighting is similiar to a refrigerator.

Flies everywhere around the food. Birds roam freely at the buffet likely spreading diseases. Nothing is done to mitigate the birds. Don't drink the water!! Staff is friendly but I would not stay again.

Room was great! WIFI wasn't great it was awful. You had to go to the lobby to get wifi....ugh! Food was mostly just OK! Not great Staff was great, helpful, friendly, and worked hard
