The lounges and sun loungers were largely “booked” from morning to evening and we spent most days either sitting on chairs waiting whilst most loungers weren’t been used and the staff didn’t remove these towels and the other days at the beach unable to book the loungers as they were fully booked but infact completly empty. They need a policy of removing towels after a period. This hoarding and booking without show leaving none available for those seeking is poor service

Beautiful property. Breakfast was amazing! The spa service was so great, I got a massage and extended it because it was wonderful. The pool areas were clean and very well maintained. The resort is conveniently close the beach, you are able to access the beach from the hotel. It was easy to get a car service to different nearby areas.

Great resort, top notch cleanliness, great staff, great facilities, easy access to the beach (although chair rentals on the beach are expensive 50euro+), two pools (cold not heated) great dining options, very close to Albufeira old city, easy parking and great breakfast! Highly recommend.

Everything about the hotel was amazing. But what really stood out was the staff. From the moment we arrived until when we left, every member of the staff we interacted with was helpful, courteous, and pleasant. Other things that make this hotel a 5 star is the beautiful and spacious rooms, great food, 24 hour pool, valet parking, beach access. The list goes on and on. We would highly recommend it and hope to return ourselves soon.

Great hotel overall. We stayed a week in February in a room with ocean view. The room had a nice view and good size. Breakfast was delicious. Indoor pool was always warm and gym was well equipped. The spa is great too. The beach is one of the nicest in Portugal. While there are several restaurants nearby, there's not too much variation and food is relatively expensive. Would definitely stay again.

For en familie på fire var det helt supert! Rommet var strøkent. Vi bodde i en Suite Home som var helt perfekt. Frokosten er fantastisk med ferskpresset juice og omelett-service! Lunsjmenyen er helt ok. Middag bød på en deilig buffet, en japansk-inspirert restaurant, eller fine dining. Vi prøvde de to første og likte begge godt. The hotel was comfortable with friendly staff. The room was spacious, and the breakfast was good. However, the hallway leading to the room had a very strong sewage smell, which was odd. While the room showed some signs of wear, it was still well-maintained. I was disappointed that no one informed me the beach facilities were unavailable. Super clean hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast and lunch buffet food options, enough room at the pool lounges. Staff at the beach super friendly (for instance my phone died and one of the beach boys without asking gave me his phone and told me to return his phone once I'm done).

The room felt spacious and was very clean. The hotel was well kept and I think that the beach access and the pine cliffs are the best part of it. Breakfast was delicious and most of the staff were very nice and friendly, especially Jessica in reception 😊 Unfortunately the checkout experience wasn’t a nice one; a young gentleman who checked us out was being a bit rude and acted like he was very frustrated and annoyed by me even tho I don’t think I gave him any reason for that. This interaction left me feeling confused and kinda tarnished the stay for me.

Really good stay and would have all been five stars apart from, on our first night we didn’t realize the air conditioning wasn’t working correctly, woke up around 3am and the room had got up to 27 degrees. We reported it to reception around 8am in the morning, and they swiftly had an engineer look at the system and a damaged part needed replacing, it was replaced the same day.

Nice well maintained property. Restaurants are excellent especially UDDO, the Japanese restaurant. Great beach access. However, the ocean view from the Ocean View Room was very disappointing. Could hardly see the water.

We loved everything about this hotel. We had a 1 bedroom suite which was large, with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette. It was quiet and had great black-out blinds. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful. There are multiple pools which were never crowded, and a beautiful beach. I would highly recommend this hotel!

We enjoyed the peace and quiet there. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is very clean and kept up well. The only issue we experienced is the tv kept going in and out. We had a wait a few minutes before the signal returned. This happened multiple times.

This is simply an amazing hotel. We stayed for four days with our kids (10 and 6) and had an incredible time. Our garden suite was bigger than most apartments i have lived in and extremely comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was great, the bar was fantastic for snacks and casual dinner. Beach was beautiful. Local restaurants and ice cream shops were great for kids and reasonably priced. But most of all the service was incredible - extermely attentive but in a relaxed calm way. Special thanks to Renato in the bar who treated my family like royalty. All in all we had a great time and we highly recommend Epic Sana.

Property is well maintained and clean with very well appointed grounds. However, the design of the room is not very desirable. The sliding door for the bathroom shower only allows either the shower or the toilet to be enclosed not both. The tub in our room seemed out of place and too large for the room. It stuck out and was a hazard when getting up T night to use the bathroom. Bumped into the edge of the tub several times. The mattress on the bed was terrible and felt as if we were sleeping on a board which was quite unexpected for a five star resort. The food at the resort was overpriced so luckily we were able to get dining options within walking distance. Certainly did not expect to be charged for bottled water at the pool. Again totally unexpected for a property like this considering what the room cost.

Ich ging mich um 0:00 Uhr an der Rezeption beschweren. Es hieß, dass man an der Bar Bescheid sagt um die Musik leiser zu machen. Wurde nicht gemacht bis dann um 1 Uhr die Bar sowieso geschlossen wurde. Am nächsten Tag ging ich wieder zur Rezeption und verlangte und bekam auch ein neues Zimmer weiter hinten. Abends bemerkte ich dann, dass die Badewanne kaputt war und auslief. Der ganze Boden war nass. Ich ging wieder zur Rezeption und bekam wieder ein neues Zimmer. 3 Zimmer in 3 Tagen. Wie soll man sich da erholt fühlen. War echt schon nervig. Und außerdem sehr frech jemandem Zimmer 101 anzubieten. Kann man vielleicht Partyleuten vermieten, aber dann sollte man das vorher sagen. Also wenn ihr Zimmer 101 bekommt und Ruhe haben wollt beschwert euch sofort.

Sehr sehr freundliches Personal in allen Servicebereichen. Tolles Ambiente des Hotels und der Anlage. Super Strand, über Treppe direkt vom Hotel erreichbar. Großzügige Zimmer und sehr bequeme Betten. Einrichtung der Zimmer sehr gut, wenngleich auch langsam aber sicher dran, mal ausgewechselt zu werden um die 5 Sterne zu behalten. Aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Front desk is friendly and approachable. Management is very good. Issues were dealt with quickly. Spa concierge - not helpful at all. Massage totally not worth it. Also, they will give you a complimentary welcome drink at their bar but it doesn’t gives you an amount nor do they tell you that certain drinks will not be covered. It’s a surprise at the end they you end up having to pay for it. It should tell you what is covered or the amount.

Everything about the hotel was amazing. But what really stood out was the staff. From the moment we arrived until when we left, every member of the staff we interacted with was helpful, courteous, and pleasant. Other things that make this hotel a 5 star is the beautiful and spacious rooms, great food, 24 hour pool, valet parking, beach access. The list goes on and on. We would highly recommend it and hope to return ourselves soon.

The room felt spacious and was very clean. The hotel was well kept and I think that the beach access and the pine cliffs are the best part of it. Breakfast was delicious and most of the staff were very nice and friendly, especially Jessica in reception 😊 Unfortunately the checkout experience wasn’t a nice one; a young gentleman who checked us out was being a bit rude and acted like he was very frustrated and annoyed by me even tho I don’t think I gave him any reason for that. This interaction left me feeling confused and kinda tarnished the stay for me.

I had a great stay at Epic Sana, the staff were all friendly and helpful & the property was immaculately clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel. Location wise, there are some decent restaurants, ice creams and a supermarket within 5 mins walk and you can access tennis and padel courts for a small fee.

Attentive and friendly staff all over the hotel; from the kids club to the reception and dining area - the people really made our stay what it was. We had a small recurring issue with one of the lights in our room and were swiftly re-housed in a nearby, upgraded room which was great. The hotel was wonderfully clean and tidy, plenty to do between the beautiful beach/spa/pools/fitness classes and also very nearby padel courts. My partner and daughter are vegan - there was not an abundance of vegan options, but at breakfast the hotel were very helpful in making vegan alternatives where possible like pancakes in the morning; they had all the basics like plant based ‘dairy’ foods and they sourced vegan cheese for us, and had plenty of recommendations for restaurants in the area with good vegan options. There’s a small, quiet square with a small supermarket, shops, restaurants and bars just outside the grounds which was really handy for lunch and a few evenings to eat out, Pizzeria Falésia especially. We’d wholly recommend and would visit again; especially during a nearby vegan food festival in Loule in September!

The Hotel is spotless but the poolside service is very poor and the service elsewhere was also slow. We booked this hotel for a long weekend break but on Sunday without notice we were told to leave as the hotel had been booked out by a party . No prior notice was given many guests were also shocked at this behaviour. This was not a cheap weekend break and it was ruined by the Hotel. I will be contacting Hotels.com for a refund!

We stayed at Epic Sana for 5 nights with 2 children under the age of 5. The resort was very calm, clean and the rooms were generous. They have an indoor pool which came handy when the waves were large at the beach. The kids club was fantastic, well planned activities every day so we could relax a bit..on one day they had an external wildlife company brinf in reptiles for the kids to see which was the biggest highlight for my kids The staff were super helpful and polite at all times and ensured we had the best stay. We've been to several resorts in Portugal and Spain with our children but this one is the only one we want to come back to. Thanks a lot for everything 🙏

The receptionist and manager forced me to upgrade because I have a child (who does not need extra bed) so I did and I paid the upgrade fees in cash at check in. They gave me a receipt that shows only part of my cash payment (for one night) when they forced me to pay for all the nights and I did. At check out, they asked me to pay for the upgrade fees again for the remaining nights because the receipt only shows I paid for one night. I should have checked the receipt carefully but I never expected them to be such a fraud. I ended up paying double of what I should have paid for the room upgrade which was forced to begin with. I paid in cash so I don’t have proof other than the wrong amount on the receipt. Also, there was no hot water in the shower and thry couldn’t fix it the entire night. I showered in cold water then tried to sleep wearing my jacket as I was freezing. Argued with them the whole night to fix the hot water and didn’t get any sleep at all.

A fabulous 4 night stay. Wanted to relax and enjoy the weather and this was perfect. Facilities are excellent and the staff warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had a So Suite which was very large with breakfast and brunch and the brunch is a great option. The grounds are so pretty, an easy walk to the beach where you can paddle for miles and we loved the poolside area by Lima. Easy taxi ride from Faro and only 20 mins to Albufeira. I would highly recommend.

Also appreciated the ability to have poolside service and order via QR code right from where you are sitting. The resort is big and can take some time waking from different points of interest. Just a note the room layout is more ideal for couples.

This hotel is a dream come true. It’s expansive yet it feels like a private compound. Access to the beach and walking paths along the cliffs were great and the views are stunning. Beach side service was unexpected and much appreciated, though you do need to pay to reserve a cabana or chair. All of the pools were lovely, breakfast, lunch and dinner options at the buffet were varied and of high quality. Lima and Uddo were spectacular. We couldn’t lift a finger while there and appreciated everything the staff did to make our stay effortless and comfortable. It’s a good mix of families, couples and friends which keeps the energy light and fun. Everything, including the design is thoughtful and the rooms are bigger than expected. Plenty of towels by the pools, though some pools are more staffed than others. Know that there is one pool that is deliberately not heated, all the others are. No issues with our room other than a weird sewage smell one afternoon that was immediately addressed.

Epic Sana is a stunning hotel. Starting from the lobby right through to hotels grounds was all beautiful. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Our room faced the ocean view and was set up beautifully. They made it extra special as it was our wedding anniversary. The breakfast was incredibly good and lots of food. This hotel is worth every penny spent. I can’t wait to return!

The hotel had 4 restaurants closed, they did not inform me of this before booking, the only meal was available was the buffet and at 48€ a head for Cole buffet was absurd, the spa was and extra €30 also, i booked this hotel for an special occasion for the spa and meal which was both compromised

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The staff were excellent. The facilities are really well looked after. We enjoyed the pools and the beach. The beach was beautiful. Some others have complained about the price of food and drink and I guess in comparison to other parts of Portugal it may seem like that. It is a 5 star rating and we expected 5 star pricing for food. We enjoyed the buffet dinner although I thought there could be more hot options at dinner. We enjoyed the Lima restaurant for the wonderful staff. The food at Lima was very good but could have gone up a level to meet the hotel star rating. The regional wine suggestions were excellent in all restaurants and reasonable prices based on North American perspective. All-in-all the staff made the experience.

Lovely resort with many amenities and a beautiful beach. The property is situated on top of a cliff and has beautiful views of the sea. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. European breakfast was wonderful and we really enjoyed Uddo, the Japanese restaurant onsite. If you like sushi, the quality at Uddo is among the best I’ve ever had. We also walked off property for 2 dinners at an Italian restaurant around the corner and were very happy with the food there also. Overall, a very enjoyable experience at the Epic Sana and we look forward to returning!

Dernier Hôtel de notre roadtrip au Portugal, mais pas le meilleur: malgré la notification sur notre réservation, l’accès au spa n’était pas inclus et cela pour 3 nuits à 360 la nuit !!! This hotel was wonderful !! The property is gorgeous and the beach is stunning! The hotel is very well kept, super clean, and well organized. The restaurants are great. Breakfast buffet was great options and quality and dinner options were amazing. Cocktails are the best! Properly made not just syrup. The pools were clean and actually heated. My kids loved playing. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

The hotel is good but not a 5 starts resort at all. Don’t expect anything like 5 starts, the coffee is probably the worst I have ever had in my life. The breakfast is kind of decent but nothing special. The pool is ok.

Very much enjoyed the two fine dining options and poolside terrace for luchtime food and drinks. Room on 3rd floor at the back with terrace but slightly disappointed as the garden onto which the terrace looks was not maintained to a good standard compared with other areas. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay which is the second time we have visited this hotel.
