This hotel was tattered. Though it appears they are trying to renovate, it might just be lipstick on a pig -- it was evident that the property was not maintained or invested in for a number of years. The location is great, but the room was a dungeon, old bathtub, no clock, dim lights, and in general, old and tired. All the floor amenities (ice machine, laundry, etc.) were out of order. Even the outdoor pool looked sad and neglected. I did not try the restaurant or bar. For the money, it was not any great deal.

Mixed bag. As we drove up I saw the giant sign atop the hotel was missing its letter D, so it read "OUBLETREE." The lobby furnishings were worn tattered. There was a poster in the elevator promising everything is being renovated. The room was larger than some, well furnished. The free Wi-Fi in the room did not work at all. We went to the lobby to get online. On the plus side , the pool was nice, staff friendly. There is walking trail behind the hotel that went for miles along the Cooper River. We saw lots of geese and a blue heron. The hotel boasts EV chargers on the Blink Network. Most of the time during our 2 night stay there were gas vehicles taking up the 2 spots at the chargers. So that was disappointing.

The key decision in selecting this hotel over others was an EV charger that would shorten my next day’s trip. Upon check-in I was informed it was not working for months! It needs a major renovation. Rooms have carpet floors. The staff was not helpful at all. Called the reception 3 times and nobody answered the phone.

This was our second time staying here. We came around 12:30 (way early for check in) but the front desk was nice enough to let us use the pool (which was huge and clean) until our room was ready. We also took advantage of the hotel restaurant and bar beforehand. The bartender was great, she had good conversation with us and the food was plentiful and tasty. (Menu is on the smaller side), but at least we had food options we didn’t have to leave for. Our room was clean and comfy, and I loved the pillows! We only stayed one night as we were there for a concert but we would 100% stay again.

My room was GROSS. There was a hair in the sink as well as old toothpaste stuck to the side of the sink. The toilet rocked. Walls are PAPER THIN. I could hear the conversations in the rooms on either side of me like they were in my room. I had to turn my TV up to drown out the noise so I could try to sleep. The public areas were dusty. It looked like someone pulled out the tissues in the tissue box in my room and then just shoved them back in the top. The halls reeked of pot. Overall the entire place needs to be updated-- carpets, walls, everything. The conference rooms were ok and the elevator was updated so if you like those spaces you're in luck!

Stayed at this hotel for a convention. The young man who checked us in was very nice. Unfortunately I am just very disappointed with the rooms. Our room smelled like mildew and the sink was clogged. The AC did not work so the room was very hot all weekend. We also found lots of stains on the comforter, not that we needed it because it was so hot in our room. The water pressure in the shower was also bad. I just can’t believe it cost me over $1000 for 3 nights for such a terrible smelly room. I feel robbed.

Room wasn't very clean to begin with. When they cleaned after my first night the carpet was never vacuumed and was dirtier after they left. I was in a handicap room and it wad very far from the elevator. For someone like me who doesn't walk well, it was a very long and exhaustIng walk.

Walking in the hotel is beautiful. The staff was very nice. The lounge area was clean and organized. Unfortunately though the hotel room was motel quality. Wallpaper peeling, holes in the wall, stains on the carpet, stains on the curtains, paint splatters, dirty windows, dirty tub, broken mirror, poor AC/Heat, ice machine was dirty, door was jammed every time, room was changed even though I had booked it over a month prior, river view wasnt as nice as expected. This isnt the first Double Tree ive stayed at with almost all the same issues.

The hotel itself was very nice. Clean, modern, and the staff was great. The only issue we had was the HVAC in the room was not working very well. The room was uncomfortably warm, so sleeping was rough. But other than that it was a nice hotel and i would recommend.

I would have given an overall better rating, however, on our second night, Friday, there was an event that was so loud, that we heard it blasting on the 10th floor for hours. Called the front desk but of course they couldn't do anything. Very annoying! No compensation!

The elevator seriously looks like it's on its last leg. The hallways look a bit dingy. However, the room was decent. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is updated. I slept well! Nice view of the river. I did not eat at the restaurant but did grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich on my way out. Not bad. About a 15 minute ride to downtown Philly.

I am a customer who visits once a year and who lives out of town. This year the booking was for my birthday. Prior to booking I asked questions about the hotel policy and upon arrival I was told something different. A manager named rose gave me hard time after an hour and 30 mins then she accommodated me. housekeeping decided to use the room key and opened my room door 30 mins prior to checkout which is the next day as I was still gathering my belongings and was undressed. I have a video.

The property did not empty trash or offer to give fresh towels. I can understand not making the bed. But when I called the front desk to inquire about fresh towels and not have a mat for the shower, I informed her that we had to use our towels to avoiding slipping on the floor she stated "why didn\'t you ask for that last night." Well I didn\'t need it last night nor did I need the trash removed last night. The unprofessional manner and tone was offensive. I have been coming to this hotel for awhile for our session but haven\'t always stayed and I won\'t be moving forward. I will take the advice of other attendees and stay at another hotel with a more professional and welcoming staff.

There were no bath towels in the room. When towels were brought, deadlock jammed--door could not be opened. Tech came to unlock door, but I had to move to another room in my pajamas, using a large cart left at my door, no assistance. Asked for a small toiletry; they did not have. Next morning, went to get a latter; machine was broken. Reported all this to desk, offered a breakfast which I could not use. "Can't do anything else because you booked with Expedia." I have stayed there many times, with small grumbles, but nothing like this. Room was comfortable, surroundings are pleasant.

Stayed as a vendor for a sports card show. Everything was great until around check out. Check out was 11am. We left our room and went to the show to set up, my wife returned to the room to remove the rest of our things and someone was in the room. The door was propped open, our food was removed from the refrigerator and left out. This was around 945am and we never checked out electronically or at the desk yet. When we finally checked out , the front desk didn’t know what to do and a manager was in a meeting. Nobody evert followed up and I never got a call back after leaving several messages.

We booked here for our daughter to attend track nationals at Franklin field. While it says the field is 7 miles away, it was a 30 mins drive due to traffic. The hotel was just okay, not as the online pictures show and much more run down I’d say.

It was fine for a moderate priced hotel. Convenient to Philadelphia and cheaper than hotels in the city. But it is definitely showing some wear - esp in the bathrooms. And the restaurant was pretty marginal. Food was ok, but they advertise room service and then don’t answer the phone when you call - front desk confirmed this — and kind of ignore you if you show up in person. Bed and room were fine.

The hotel was very nice. The floor in the bathroom was not vacuumed and there was stuff in the corner by the tub. For the price of the hotel, they should have included breakfast. The restaurant was very expensive. Other chains offer this and it’s a nice touch. There was a coffee shop in the lobby, it was good. The beds were comfortable. The room smelled clean. The carpets were new. I would consider staying there again if necessary.

Hotel is in a decent spot and easy to get to. The river park across the street is a nice walk. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Air conditioning in the room was not working correctly, room was very warm. The in-room coffee maker is proprietary - no K-cups, just an FYI Normally prefer more amenities within walking distance and not much easily walkable. Cannot recommend the on-site dining.

Very nice hotel, nice view of the water. Room was clean and spacious bed was comfortable flatscreen TV was fairly large compared to the last dozen hotels that I’ve stayed at. Was always difficult to find a cart… the hotel could probably use a few more. Lots of parking & hotel was conveniently located close to the highway. For easy travel into and out of Philly
