Peace Hotel Beijing

concierge is friendly, helpful, speaks a bit of english. to use the pool, you need a swim cap. the staff in the fitness area are strict.

The hotel is located in a brilliant area very close to subway stations on different lines which is handy. Forbidden Palace is walkable and access to all the other attractions is so simple by subway. The rooms are very spacious however could do with a little updating such as the bathroom and carpets however the beds and facilities in the room are excellent. We had a small issue where there was no hot water at 6am on the day we were going on a day trip which was not good as we are people that always shower first thing in the morning before we start the day. It was eventually warm enough to get a quick shower but when it’s cold winter outside you want a warm shower before going outside for the entire day. Not a big problem but one that shouldn’t happen in a hotel. The breakfast was ok, lots of items made at the same time and some were cold and had been lying out for a long time. No cereal options which was annoying. Plenty of cooked western and Asian options. Coffee isn’t great as it’s a machine using long life milk and the fruit juice was from concentrate. Lobby Bar is great with happy hour every day 6pm - 8pm. Midweek it’s different drinks but at the weekend it’s any drinks on the menu 2 for the price of one. Which is good making a bottle of Tsingtao only 20 Chinese Yen! 40 Chinese Yen for. Cocktails could be better though. But if the hotel management are reading this review….please please please change the lobby music.. 24/7 it plays the same 3 minute track on repeat!!

I enjoyed my stay despite the fact that the hotel was a bit outdated. My room was relatively small, but the bathroom was a decent size. All amenities included, apart from an ironing board and iron. The staff were friendly. The swimming pool looks like a small pond for children and was permanently occupied by young children. The best part of the hotel was its location- within walking distance to the Forbidden City and close to the nearest underground.

In the description on Expedia app, it says they’ve shuttle from airport to the hotel there’s no shuttle, also mentions about hot tub, sauna and other services thats not true. Swimming pool in ok condition you’ve buy the head ware from guy in charge sitting in the pool with cash or WeChat or Alipay other than that you can’t swim.

The pool and gym facilities need some work unfortunately. Staff were friendly enough and the buffet breakfast is pretty good. For where it is, and the value, you won’t find better.

This is just about 4 stars hotel, the location is very good but the hotel needs a lot of attention, the maintenance department needs to do their job properly. Gym toilets are below average , the staff were polite and responsive.

The hotel is an older hotel compared to others around the neighborhood. The location is fantastic though. The swimming pool requires you to wear a swimmer cap so remember to bring one. The fitness center is older and doesn't really have good AC. There's also no towels or water in the fitness center. There are towels in the swimming pool area and the bathroom has showers for you to wash up before going to your room.

Great location and although a little tired and the pool was closed for refurbishment, the location and breakfast were great and the staff very pleasant.

ダニだらけで全身を刺された。夜中にフロントで部屋をの交換について話し、明け方に再びフロントに赴いたところ、まったく引継ぎがなされていなかった。 移動した部屋もダニだらけ。他の日本人にも被害が出ているようだった。 シャワー室は水はけが悪く、室外へ水があふれてしまう。 老朽化しているためか禁煙のはずなのにたばこ臭い。

La habitación estaba muy vieja y sucia, tuve que salirme del hotel y buscar uno en media noche, había insectos y se percibe todo muy sucio y huele a polvo, muy mal la limpieza.

Nice lobby, but very old and not good maintenance in rooms it’s time to refurbish rooms and furniture. Bathroom needs a good cleaning.

Overall a good stay. Although the hotel is older it seems to be well maintained and cleaned. I would stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located. However, the rooms are in dire need for an upgrade. The toilet had a few damaged tiles and the water drainage in the bathing area was not effective.

Positives - the hotel itself is situated in a great spot. Close to Wangfujing street for shopping, walking distance to the forbidden city and close to transport to easily get to and from other areas of Beijing without taking a car (which is a huge advantage in Beijing as traffic is horrendous). Staff were friendly too when we were unhappy with our initial room. Do note there are two sides to this hotel. One which appears to be the main building. And the tower 2 which we disgusted by when we entered the room. The room smelt musky, there was dust all over the benches, the walkway leading into the rooms were dimly lit. The only saving grace was the bathroom appeared to be newly renovated but even then, streaks all over the glass and mirrors. It appeared like this room hadn’t been stayed in in months and was just left that way. We did get moved to a level closer to family who were staying which was great and even though the room was in the better side of the towers, the room was still quite musky and old, with the bathroom in a worse state. We didn’t want to spend much time here which was good because there was so much to explore but coming back to a room that felt unclean and dusty. Our son who has eczema had no issues on this trip at other hotels however broke out into rash after 1 night sleeping here. If not for a 5 star location, we were seriously considering staying at another hotel after the first night. Disappointing given price wise there are similar nearby.

Staff seemed nice and helpful. The hotel is truly old and air con struggles to perform. Constant 27°C all day & night. Shower needs upgrading

The hotel is located in a very good place close to Wangfujing street. Has a lot of food options and shopping malls close by. The hotel was good and services were very good. Only thing missing was the air conditioning. The rooms were quite hot in the night as there is no possibility to open the windows to let the cold weather from outside and the hotel only runs the air con like a blower during winter days. This was making the nights uncomfortable. On complaining they upgraded us to a higher level room but the air conditioning issue was not resolved.

For this part of our trip we were moved to an adjacent building. The room was smaller ( we needed to extend our stay and there were no more deluxe rooms available) but our main complaint was that the room was stifling hot. The afternoon sun seems to hit that side of the building and just made the room a hothouse. We tried to cool the room off but were told the aircon had been shut off as it was late October. The hotel did bring in a portable fan but we were still very uncomfortable. Also, being in the adjacent building was inconvenient to the lobby. Still the hotel is in an excellent location and the staff were friendly.

Nous avions réservé une suite avec lit King. Notre chambre avait un lit Queen, il n’y avait pas de machine à café et le bruit de la rue était insupportable. Heureusement la gérante nous a surclassé dans une suite Première, cela a réglé ces inconvénients. Toutefois, la salle de bain était très ordinaire. Le bain est trop petit pour s’allonger et les serviettes élimées ainsi que les robes de chambre. Le menu du restaurant est très réduit et le buffet déjeuner très ordinaire. L’hôtel est cependant très propre.

The location of this hotel is exceptional and one of its few positive aspects. Unfortunately, that’s where the praise ends. My friends and I booked two separate rooms—one a twin deluxe and the other a king deluxe. While their twin room featured soft, comfortable beds, my king room had an extremely firm, almost rock-hard bed, making it difficult to rest properly. The biggest issue, however, was the inability to control the room temperature. Both rooms were unbearably hot, feeling like saunas, and we had no option but to sleep on top of the beds without any blankets. When we approached the front desk for assistance and inquired about switching rooms, we were informed that temperature control was set for the entire hotel and could not be adjusted individually. This was very disappointing and significantly affected our stay. While Beijing itself is a vibrant and beautiful city that we thoroughly enjoyed exploring, this hotel fell short of expectations. Regrettably, I would not choose to stay here again.

Room was very spacious and clean! The bed was a little more firm than I am used to however, after being out all day and night, I still slept very well.

You can’t beat Novotel’s location. While the hallways to our hotel room are little worn, our room feels plush. The room is nicely furnished, spacious and clean. The weekend buffet was a nice spread with an assortment of dishes.

Hotel is located in a very convenient area. For this portion of our trip we were in the main building. The room was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location, the only thing that I do not like is the person who helped me with the check in process. She helped me last year too. She does not possess a friendly and welcoming personality. She should be trained!

Its hard to comment on this hotel thou. as there are pros and cons. the front desk at check-in time wasn't that friendly. He doesn't seems to answer the questions we asked. However, the next day when we go to the front desk the ladies there are more friendly. Overall the experience is good

We asked for connecting room but only managed to get it second day. The staff were mostly awesome thou. Location is prime ay near Wangfujing.

The staff was exceptional. They made sure our stay there was a great experience, especially arranging a taxi for us for very early in the morning for our flight. Everything was seamless. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others

Nice hotel, close to the Metro station with conection to the Airport, 5 min to the shoping street, lot of restaurants.

Großartiges Frühstück! Schönes Zimmer mit guter Ausstattung. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und die Metro in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Die verbotene Stadt ist in ein paar Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Sim, o café da manhã era muito bom.

Room was clean, staff was friendly. Breakfast selection was great.

立地は最高である。建設してから時間が経っているのか、施設の老朽化が目立つ。シャワーは天井フィックスで下半身を洗うのに苦労した。朝食は、麺以外に暖かいものがなく、肉まんも蒸してなかったし、焼きそばも冷めていた。なので、3日目には、ほとんど食欲がわからなかった。

The property is a 3 star and in need of upgrades. The housekeeping that attends to the rooms is subpar and provided an incredibly poor service for taking out the trash, additionally, they failed to vacuum or place items such as bottled water and coffee packets where they belong. The decor is dated and the glass was cracked on the desk. The bathtub was in atrocious shape. This was a superior corner unit. The rest of the hotel is fine, room service is quick, but food wasn’t very good. I am giving this a lower rating based on the overall cost value as opposed to nitpicking minute inefficiencies. The price point is representative of the location, but not the overall condition, service, or experience of the hotel.

Hotellet ligger helt perfekt i forhold til shopping og til området omkrlng den forbudte by. Klart anbefale området og placeringen. Nem at komme til de andre steder via undergrunden som ligger om hjørnet. Værelserne er ok størrelse og rengøring er ok. Dejlig morgenmad med mange mulige
