The owner finally responded the next day with a brief, unapologetic message claiming "phone issues" and offering to let me check in a day late - without any compensation. When I requested a refund citing their failure to provide the agreed-upon accommodation, they refused, hiding behind their strict cancellation policy. The booking platform has been equally unhelpful, siding with the owner despite clear evidence of communication failure. I strongly caution anyone considering this property or owner. What should have been the start of a relaxing vacation turned into an expensive, stressful ordeal that could have been avoided with basic professional courtesy. One star, and that's being generous.
