Room kept clean while stay but lights went out almost all everyday

Café da manhã diversificado; pessoal prestativo; quarto limpo porém 03 dias não deixaram toalhas limpas, recolheram as toalhas sujas e deixou o quarto sem toalhas, foi preciso fazer solicitação. Piscina limpa, cadeiras próximas à piscina todas usadas, local não projetado para a quantidade de hospedes.

Beautiful property with a clean beach and a great pool. A few of the employees were very pleasant, but unfortunately that was only a small percentage of our interactions. We also experienced some frustrating maintenance issues in the room — the AC was stuck on frigid and the thermostat didn’t seem to work. It was eventually fixed, but only after two days. The shower also didn’t have warm/hot water, which again took two days to resolve. On top of that, the entire resort lost power for about five hours, which was a bit worrisome. The buffet was completely dark, and guests were using their phone flashlights to get around.

It is a beautiful resort with a beautiful pool. You’ll be able to take lots of great videos and pictures here. I only have 3 complaints that aren’t all that bad which are the beach is not too clean since it’s surrounded by so many boats. I think they should do an area just for boats and not have them surround the beach . Also prepare to do so much walking! I know walking is good for you but there are people like my parents who are old and cannot walk as much and this didn’t help at all, and last the entertainment isn’t all that great but i can see that at least their trying. But these 3 complaints definitely do not take away from how beautiful the resort is. If your reading this comment you should definitely visit Lopesan.

The property had fantastic amenities and the grounds were very well maintained. It had a plethora of activities going on and plenty of dining options and bars. The food was what would be expected for an all inclusive which were okay, if you go to the buffet you will need to guess what the items are as nothing is labeled. Overall the experience was enjoyable and we will be back in the future.

The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. Friendly staff, beautiful resort! The only thing missing was a swim up bar!

Traveling with little kids. Came to Lopesan 2nd time. Everything was good, friendly stuff. A big disadvantage was impossible to relax on the beach because of very loud constant music 10am-6 pm next to infinity pool.

During the stay at the resort, the experience was extremely disappointing from the very beginning. Check-in took over two hours even though there were only three people ahead in line. Later, the power went out for more than six hours, causing major disruptions throughout the property. With no air conditioning, guests had no choice but to cool off in the pool, yet the pool’s filtration system wasn’t working, leaving the water dirty and unsafe. The outage also shut off the water pumps, so toilets and running water were completely non-functional — and with over a thousand guests using toilets that couldn’t flush, conditions became extremely unsanitary. Basic amenities like ice for drinks were unavailable. When we complained, management — specifically Manager Carlos Santa — minimized the concerns by saying guests still had access to the beach or the pool, even though those areas were also affected. Despite the severity of the situation, the hotel attempted to compensate guests with only cheap bottles of wine instead of offering a refund or compensation for the day.

Very nice and large resort.A lot of activities for adults and kids.Food is good.The water park for the kids is excellent, but I believe that some of the other activities in the resort are not completely free.Big theater with different shows every night.The nightclub is very nice also with live DJ.We went for my friend 50 for a weekend, and although we dont have little ones anymore, I will definitely go back to enjoy the beach and the disco.Only downside is no swim bar at the pool and the toilets were a mess in the room and the public ones.When we talk to the front desk about this, it looks like we were not the first one complaining.Sanctuary Cap Cana is quiet and relaxing,Hard Rock might be a little bit intense.I will consider this one with a little bit of both worlds.

Staff was super helpful and kind, helped me make my mom’s birthday special. However, I would say they need to make more of an effort to maintain roaches out of the room (they eventually came in to spray the room) and make sure all things are working properly before a guest stay. Our fridge had to be replaced twice. Other than that, the resort is beautiful

The food in the buffet was not good. Some of the workers have attitude. The lights went out for like half an hour, and the rooms are really musky.

This property looked good on paper, but it was actually better in person. The staff was super helpful and friendly, the hotel was beautiful and modern and the food was amazing!! Especially the Asian and French restaurants. The bar right below the lobby of the hotel was our favorite because of the great service and friendliness of the staff. The service was sooo good that I need to give them a big shout out: Huge thanks to Narciso Juliany, Elisandra, Anabel, Dahainy, Gregory and Adreisy. Also at the Asian/Hibachi restaurant, we had the best cook (Patricio) preparing our meals. So engaging and full of energy and the food was outstanding!!! At the breakfast buffet we would always be serviced by Eusi Bido, he was one of the best and he always took care of us to the point that he would go above and beyond the call of duty. At the main pool, the entertainment was really good as well, those guys are full of energy and keep the crowd active and happy! The only two issues were that my room had a moldy smell and it was more intense at night time when we went to sleep. And we got the VIP package and were told that we would be able to get a late check out since our flight was late at night. The day I went to request it, the manager was not friendly or helpful and wanted to charge me if I needed to do a late check out. That left a bad taste in my mouth my last day at the resort. But overall, I love this property and will definitely come back with my family.

Superb property! This is a beautiful, gigantic (and I mean enormous) yet cozy hotel. Since it is so big you never feel crowded or pushed by others. The pools are so big you don’t run into others. The buffet is impeccable. Clean and always refreshed. Food is average and the restaurants are all … meh. The restaurants are stunning in decoration and the staff is 10/10. The food is, well, free and feels like it. The room was gorgeous and the cleanliness amazing. I have zero complains on the property, staff or amenities. This is a gorgeous place. Just set your expectations of dining to be closer to a casual restaurant like Chilis or Olive Garden at best.

Our room smelled like mold. It took two days to get a new room. Our child developed a pretty terrible cough while in the room and we had to immediately go to the pediatrician once we got off the return flight. He had wheezing and was immediately put on steroids for inflammation and breathing treatments.

We were excited to visit this hotel, but it did not meet our expectations. The room was very humid all the time, and the towels were dirty and smelled bad. There is only one towel station for the pool, so if you go to the kids’ water park you have to walk all the way to the main pool to get towels, which is very inconvenient. The alcohol selection was very basic, and the buffet served the same food every day. The staff was slow it took forever to get drinks or food — and the restaurants were difficult to book. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

Overall beautiful property . First impression was not impressed with the quality of service as we were provided a room that was not cleaned prior to us checking in. This provided a dissatisfying first impression as a guest .Odor of mildew within the hotel and hotel room was off putting. Expected a better experience

We found a small roach on the first day. We then found a small roach in the buffet by the dining area. The staff was amazing! The resort is beautiful. There was construction happening which was fine, however the rooms had a couple broken things

La habitación estaba llena de cucarachas, todos los días muchísimas. La habitación sucia, las áreas y espacios de los lobbys sucios, los restaurantes sucios con cucarachas y moscas. No limpian. Las bebidas y comidas malas, con bacterias, recicladas, sin variedad. Comida vieja todos los días. El personal poco amable y desatento, son clasistas, tratan al dominicano mal y lo miran por encima de la ropa. Realmente no vuelvo a este hotel tan deplorable y con atenciones tan malas.

Hello. 1. This is the first time of our stay we didn’t receive welcome drink, anniversary ribbon on the door of hour room, anything. Even if I emailed 3 times and requested 2 beds to change for 1 King Bed and telling that we are going to celebrate 15 years anniversary, instead we were forced to changed to adults only package $60 per person, that we didn’t. It was frustrating, the first time we got this bad experience. 2. Wi Fi not working properly on the beach and on the pool, very strange for the price the hotel charges. 3. The Shower didn't work properly. 4. The food was OK, the staff also good.

We had a big party of over 30 guests and there were roaches in atleast 4 of the rooms including my swim up suite. The swim up suite is actually just a room with a tiny shared pool that was not cleaned throughout my entire stay. The room itself is completely hidden away and extremely far from the main pool and beaches and everything else. There is A LOT of walking just to get around the place

The room was big and the bed was comfy. There were lots pools around the resort and makes it not crowded.

Room and property are great. They are well maintained . Room is large and spacious. The sockets do need some work. Also, there should be iron in the rooms. Lastly, the room a/c wasn't working well.

Well thought out resort architecture. Swim up suit worth every penny. Service was also good at restaurants. But food was hit or miss. Mexican restaurant food quality was horrible but stake house was outstanding.

Beautiful property in Punta Cana excellent for couples or families needing serenity in a modern all-inclusive hotel with not an overly big hotel. Pros: 1. Modern feel and clean and upgraded hotel (sleek and elegance and newer rooms and equipment) 2. Good bar drinks and food variety of dishes 3. Excellent beachfront and pool conditions 4. Restaurants scenes for any type of meal was appealing 5. Lots of shopping in the same property, onsite clinic pharmacy made being there complete and no feel of any other store lacking Cons: 1. The entire staff appeared to untrained, it felt like they were being forced to be there, no smiles, no help towards guests, no welcome drinks, nothing. (Recommendation to management: Train the staff properly to know how to welcome guests and care for them during their stay, since they are part of the experience) 2. Some staff did not speak English, or prefer to speak English when asking for clarity or seeking directions, this is unacceptable for such an international modern and beautiful. At least one staff member should comprehend English language. 3. The food options have varied tastes, even if ordering the same menu item on different days, which was strange .(Recommendation: Catering attention needed)

Love the room will book a suite every time so spacious

First three nights room licaty was way in the back corner with no view. The remaining three nights room where switched, decent location with garden view was decent but some of the guests were really loud The were drinking scream from midy to 5 or 6 am but security didn't do anything. We couldn't sleep those three nights. I'm sure there were complay from other guests that stayed near by.

There were several options for breakfaast, lunch and dinner. The a la carte restaurants were very good, my favorite being the Frech and the Asador restaurants. Reservations were easy to get and service was good. The pools, they have several pools, are clean and there are lots of lounge chairs to rest and relax. There are two sides to the resort, the common areas and the rooms. Common areas are clean and well kept and they are very beautiful. On the other hand, the rooms could be better, the closet was out of alignment, some drawers didn't close properly, rod to pull the drapes fell when we pulled it to close the window. Room was spacious and clean and bed was good and confortable. The place itself is beautiful, but, next time, I'll make sure a get a better room.

I stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino and honestly, I would not recommend it. The customer service was terrible from start to finish. Check-in: We waited over 45 minutes just to check in and still didn’t get a room right away. Staff insisted on holding our luggage and made us wait until our entire party arrived so a bellboy could walk us to the rooms — completely unnecessary and a huge waste of time after traveling. The staff overall felt more focused on tips than providing actual service. Rooms: The rooms were underwhelming for the price. No jacuzzi, cheap setup, and awkwardly designed bathrooms that aren’t fully sealed — uncomfortable when sharing with others. Most outlets in both the room and even the lobby were so loose they barely worked; I literally had to use a pillow to keep my charger in place. Definitely not “luxury.” Restaurants: We had a party of 12, and of course with a large group, sometimes you’re a few minutes late. At several restaurants, we arrived just 10 minutes late to reservations. The restaurants were practically empty, yet staff still refused to seat us. Instead, they made us wait until they served other guests — even though the place stayed empty. It felt like they went out of their way to be unhelpful. The food and drinks themselves were mediocre at best, with service painfully slow. Checkout: The final insult was at checkout. They required us to return beach towels in exchange for towel cards before we could leave

Worst check in ever!!! This happened for the 2nd time at this hotel. We arrived at 12pm, they checked us in and told us to wait until 3pm to get the room. But the room was not ready until 5pm!!! We were turned back several times by reception to wait more. The staff had an attitude during the entire trip.

Staff is always the best! Love the hotel. My only complaint is restaurant reservation availability. You cant go to every restaurant when you stay. Make sure you reserve way ahead of the time you want to arrive if available.

The resort is very clean and the staff are friendly. Lots of food options and you can book any off resort activities right there at the resort hassel free.

Rooms ok. Only given 3 towels a day for 3 people to shower. Our Thanksgiving reservation for 23 was cancelled at the last minute. Buffett was terrible. I have stayed in 2 other resorts and the food was amazing…. Not so much here. Resort is almost too big. Pool is nice but no swim up bars. Bartenders are slow, never acknowledge you and seem not happy to be there.

The stay was deeply disappointing due to multiple fundamental flaws. Check-In Scam: Despite low occupancy, the resort enforced a 3:00 PM check-in delay, which felt manipulative and was used as a tactic to pressure guests into purchasing the expensive "Unique" upgrade ($80/night). Rooms in the upgraded section were immediately available, confirming the unnecessary delay. Terrible Food: The daily buffets (breakfast and lunch) and the primary dining hall ("The Valley") were consistently "horrible" and "gross," destroying the all-inclusive value. Dining Exceptions: The only decent options were The Mexican Restaurant (the best, eaten at twice) and The Goldfish for lunch. Service & Atmosphere: Service was mediocre; most staff displayed bad attitudes and indifference. Daytime pools and activities were fine, but nighttime entertainment was severely lackluster. Final Verdict: The resort is not recommended. The combination of nickel-and-diming practices, poor service, and substandard food makes this a frustrating experience. Future travelers should look elsewhere.

Five stars across the board! The service was amazing, especially the friendly staff. We loved how clean the room was, and the outdoor pool complex was a highlight of the trip. Plus, the breakfast variety was unbeatable!

Staff should be more friendly you called room service requesting sheets of a bathrobe and they just not come, management should train on how to deal with customer to treat them with great customer service.

Very clean rooms. Food was great for an all inclusive. Especially the Italian. Coffee shop was my go to in the mornings. The grounds were immaculate , staff was on point … it helped to have my Spanish speaking friend with us. The only negative (but wasn’t bad) was the boats parked in the water. Spoiled the view.

Amazing location!

Property is beautiful and there are many places to spend time. I had several issues with the resort. First was the music--it was loud and blasting wherever you went--at the pool, in the stores, in the lobby, at the restaurants, so it was hard to feel fully relaxed. Blasting dance music at the pool echoed to the beach, I couldn't hear the waves. I highly recommend reassessing the volume and type of music being played. A couple of the dinner restaurants were just plain terrible, the food quality of the Asian and Mexican restaurants were awful. The food was over cooked and/or overly seasoned. The constant presence of people trying to sell tours and activities while you're trying to relax was annoying. So were the party boats up against the perimeter of the swimmable area in the ocean. There were many boats that you didn't really get to view the ocean horizon at all. One afternoon, a party boat drove up against the buoyed fence blasting very inappropriate and explicit music. The good parts of the resort--the breakfast buffet was excellent, they also had a buffet for lunch and dinner (however, those weren't open every day). The service was 100% amazing, everyone worked so hard, please bring tips for them, many of them work double shifts. The cleanliness and beauty of the facility is excellent, the landscaping is gorgeous and and the cleaning staff both outdoors and indoors were on top of everything.

It was a great experience. So many options for food(5 or 6 restaurants inaddition to open buffwt), friendly stuff. Clean room. Nice and calm beach. There was some seaweed on the water and shore, but that did not bother us. Apparently, seaweed is common on the ocean side of the island. Beach was nice, calm water and nice sand. Our 2 year old enjoyed it.

There was plenty of chairs to lounge in bye the pool and on the beach. The resort is much bigger in person than I expected , the food was good and the drinks were great! We’re just mad that we didn’t stay an extra day or 2 so that we could enjoy all the amenities!

Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Staff very welcoming and many times we saw how much they care about giving very good service and having good facilities. They were all very hard working and friendly. The layout is very practical, well thought out and easy to follow after one day and everything is within a five minute walk. Everything is accessible for people with disabilities, walking is flat or with elevators and there is shade within 10 feet of you everywhere. The room was more than spacious enough with a large walk-in shower, very good water pressure and detachable wand and ceiling shower head as well as comfortable bed, couch and chairs, private balcony and well insulated for keeping sound out. There is a little smell when you walk into the room that disappears after a few minutes but that is probably true in all rooms along caribbean beaches. My husband works in mold remediation and did not find any concern for mold growth anywhere. There is a party atmosphere but no one was disrespectful and we never saw anyone acting intoxicated. The layout allows you be at party/games area at the beach and pool, which only happens during a couple of hours in the afternoon, or be at other end at the quieter pools, water park or The Boulevard. There were some food options that were very excellent and some that were just okay. Theatre shows okay but lighting and sound uncomfortable. Ice breaker fun. We walked 3 miles of beach and Lopesan had the nicest portion.

Superou as expectativas! O hotel é lindíssimo , confortável e de extremo bom gosto. A limpeza é impecável e o atendimento, em sua maioria, muito gentil, com destaque para o time de concierge, sempre atencioso e acolhedor. Tornaram nossa viagem inesquecível! Tivemos pequenos imprevistos que foram rapidamente resolvidos. A piscina é maravilhosa, mas fechar às 18h é um desperdício. Os sucos (inclusive do bar de sucos) não são naturais, o que destoa do padrão do hotel, e as bebidas não são de marca, compreensível pelo volume de desperdício. Em contrapartida, a gastronomia é sensacional, adorei todos os restaurantes! Pontos a melhorar: a água de coco é cobrada à parte, as atividades de entretenimento são fracas e falta um pouco da “magia caribenha”. A equipe de animação é desanimada, e o DJ só toca músicas caribenhas, pedindo gorjeta para aceitar pedidos. O teatro é incrível, amplo, estruturado e com ótimos shows (destaque para o de Michael Jackson e o de Halloween!). O cassino é um charme à parte, super moderno , e o parque aquático é excelente até pra adultos. O shopping e as lojinhas também surpreendem com bons preços e experiências excelentes. A praia é bonita, porém com faixa de banho pequena e água escura, já que fica em uma marina. O serviço na praia e piscina é quase inexistente, prepare-se para levantar sempre que quiser algo, também não há o que comer na piscina e prai fora de restaurantes Mesmo com esses detalhes, voltaria com certeza. Recomendo muito!

It was a very beautiful hotel. The food at the buffet was the same. Best restaurant was the Mexican; we also enjoyed the teppanyaki. The service at the pool was hard to come by. The beach was not that great. There were boats idling there, it smelled like gasoline. One day I went I found a floater (human feces) which really put me off. The staff were super nice. The check-in was long.

Food was horrible at the buffet and Mexican restaurant. I had to call twice for some toiletries and never received any. We were never given towel cards at the reception and had to explain this to the towel lady every single time. The snacks in the room were never refilled. Asian and French restaurant were really good!

Lots of amazing food options. Make sure to get dinner reservations as soon as you check in.

We came from Canada for an 8-day family vacation with our 4-month-old baby. The resort is beautiful, but our room had terrible mold, and I even got sick because of it. They changed our room after six hours of waiting, but the new one smelled strongly of fried food from the restaurant pipes. The staff don’t speak English, so even ordering coffee or a drink was difficult. The food quality was poor, and I got food poisoning once. The resort is very big, but there’s only one towel station, so if you go to the water park, you have to walk 20–25 minutes carrying towels yourself. Beautiful place, but not well-maintained or organized — we wouldn’t stay here again.

Resort was very clean and beautiful. Main pool is huge. Did not feel crowded. Food was decent but not great by any means. Just lacked seasoning. Nice relaxing place to stay.

Honestly everything about the hotel is amazing except for one thing that could definitely be improved and that is the buffet. I feel like for a 5 star hotel the buffet could be better but aside from that everything is spectacular
