Room was lovely. Temperature was to our liking. Spa was fabulous.

Beautiful setting. Loved the beach, gym, and available activities! Rarely felt crowded despite being there during a busy season. Wish they could text me instead of using pagers with limited range when waiting for dinner. Also wish our party could have had access to the restaurants at Zilara (my 15 year old knows how to behave!). Overall great vacation!

Great time at Hyatt Ziva! We went in early November with our five and seven year old daughters and loved the resort. Tons for the kids to do between the beach, pools, hot tub, water park, kids club and kids club events. Our kids loved the night shows - the Disney themed event, karaoke, magician, acrobatic show - all really great. Fantastic service - every single staff member has a amole and is engaging and trying to make sure you have the best time ever. It rained one day and we still felt we had plenty to do. It was also really nice to be next to the adults only resort, when we did choose to utilize the kids club, because we were able to get in a few extra restaurants. Highly recommend!

A great hotel with good sized rooms and excellent service. Staff is all super friendly and attentive. We went a bit before February break so capacity wasn’t at max - no wait times for any restaurant. We enjoyed the water park a lot - it’s great for older tweens and even teens and there is a toddler version as well next to it. A fun lazy river and about 5 slides. The main pool is big (not the nicest we’ve ever seen but good enough) and the beach is clean and expansive. The food is good (not amazing but pretty good for an all inclusive) and there are decent restaurant choices plus room service (also included). Nice touches like daily wine and cheese in your room, turndown and handy amenities in bathroom. We didn’t have any teens for “teen zone” but it seemed like a decent hangout for older kids. Finally, liked the island vacation feel but only 20 min for airport.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Ziva and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The entire property was spotless and beautifully maintained. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Even though it rained on most days, in true Caribbean fashion it never lasted long, and we still enjoyed plenty of time at the beach and pool. The staff did a great job keeping everyone entertained despite the weather. The water park was fun, clean, and never crowded, and the resort overall felt peaceful during our stay (we traveled in the slower season). Although we didn’t use the gym this time, it’s one of the most impressive we’ve seen at any resort — spacious and well equipped. Every staff member was friendly and professional, but Mariokely by the pool, Sol from the kids club, Luis at the buffet meat station, and Gemelin at the buffet truly made our trip special with their kindness and attention. If I could suggest small improvements, I’d love to see fresh fruit mixes for drinks instead of concentrated ones, and maybe smaller batches of fried items at the buffet so they stay hot and crispy. Also, having the coconut station a few times a week — we missed it during our 5-day stay. Overall, we had an amazing time and can’t thank everyone enough. We’ll definitely be back. The Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve ever been to with the most kind, considerate, and genuinely caring staff. There were ao many activities for a family to do! We loved the resort, restaurants, pool, the waterpark, and the ocean was pristine and perfect. Our kids loved the kids club and kids activities! We will be back again!

Stayed for a week with family of 5. Hotel staff were super friendly and always helpful. The room was clean and serviced on a daily basis. They restocked everything we needed promptly. Food was excellent. They had many options readily available. Water park was fun and not overly crowded. The beach was nice - beautiful white sand -- plenty of chairs to sit on. But there was a lot of seaweed at the shore. Because of the breakers, the water closest to the shore was not the crystal clear blue we expected - instead it was a murky brown and gross to swim in. Also no waves for the kids to play in at the shore. If we waded through the band of floating seaweed (~30 feet) the water was cleaner and still only waist/chest deep. That area was okay to float in. Needed to go over the breakers (which some people were doing) to get to the clear blue water (we did not feel comfortable doing that with kids). We took a catamaran out a few times (even though we'd never used one before) which was super fun. The staff at the shore showed us how to use it. We were disappointed though that multiple times we wanted to take paddle boards out they weren't allowing them on the water (the reason didn't seem clear even though weather conditions were fine). The resort also had entertainment every night. They had an outdoor theatre with a new live performance (e.g., magic show, acrobats, etc) every night. They also had a movie playing each night on the lawn for kids.

Some real 5 star elements at this hotel. The Spa is a world class experience and very fairly priced for the amenities. The kids activities are excellent. The Waterpark superb. Fav food was the Indian restaurant. Upgraded to club level for better breakfast options. The staff are incredibly kind and hospitable.

Check-in was easy, but there was miscommunication about our room. I had inquired the Club Master One Bedroom and was told the upgrade decision would be made on arrival. Instead, we were told the original room was not available at all and had to take the upgrade, which cost us over two thousand dollars. This should have been communicated before we arrived, especially with two toddlers. The room was large and comfortable, and the staff handled our bedding requests very well. However, the room was not as clean as expected. Our toddlers found nail clippings and dusty corners, and even after asking for deep cleaning several times, it never felt fully done. The Italian restaurant was our favorite, with fresh food and friendly service. The wine selection was limited even with the Club upgrade. The Turkish Mediterranean restaurant was disappointing, with long waits and no bread or kids’ food even after repeated requests, so we left. Pronto’s and the Mercado buffet were convenient for the kids, and the staff there was always helpful. Special thanks to dinner manager Juan Carlos for his outstanding service. Before we left, guest relations reached out and handled our concerns professionally. Overall, the resort is beautiful and the staff truly shines. We had a good stay and made great

The hotel surpassed all my expectations! The staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in. The room was clean, was splendid. The food spread was also quite tasty. Definitely will come back and will recommend to everybody

Property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were painting/cleaning glass/watering plants/picking away dead plants constantly to make a beautiful resort. Everything was perfect. Only thing that ever came up was our fridge in our room never worked but we didnt mind. We were out eating so often it didmt bother us. Wonderful stay!

Miguelina and Michelena from the coffee republic were the kindest ladies. They remembered my drink order each day and were so welcoming! The staff overall was wonderful. The property is great as are the amenities. My room was great but could have been cleaned and prepared better for my arrival. I had to request a second cleaning on the day I checked in.

THE ROOMS AIR CONDITIONER WAS NOT WORKING , THE PROPERTY SHOULD HAVE MORE MAINTENANCE SPECIALLY WHEN YOU TRAVEL WITH SMALL CHILDREN

Recently visited for 5 nights and so happy with our stay. We are not luxury travelers so that is not our comparison… but in addition to the grounds being beautiful and staff so gracious and friendly, the rooms are so nice compared to other AI resorts we have stayed at, and the food has been top notch. We had the basic King bed resort view, and the room size and queen sleeper sofa have been plenty spacious for us and 2 teen girls. The separate room for the toilet is a plus and has sped up the family’s total getting ready time 🙂 plenty of space for clothing and luggage storage as well. The balcony setup is increíble and the daybed is the perfect spot for an afternoon nap in the shade. We thought Tempest and Noodle & Thread restaurants were very good. We also enjoyed the Seafood night at the Mercado buffet on our first night: the snow crab claws and Dominican rice and beans were my favorite. For lunch we enjoyed the bbq chicken, rice and veggies by the pool, green and picante sauces were a must! The Caesar salad from Prontoz was also very good. The water park was a hit with our teens, they loved the slides and we used the lazy river (although not too lazy) more than we expected. And well done to the entire nightly entertainment team! The only complaint I have is the sales pitch for upgrades, the showing of the presidential suite and photography. They are persistent but by day 3 left us well enough alone. Really lovely, though! The property is beautiful. Not too big where you need a golf cart to get around, but not too small where you have no where to walk around. The staff are all amazing and welcoming. The food is GREAT, especially the a la carte. The bathroom, especially the tiles in the shower could use a revamp. We had two swim ups, so there was a little more mosquitos, the ac worked differently in each room-either we couldn’t get it cooler or it cooled too much, and humidity we controlled with dehumidifiers that we asked for.

- Pool, waterpark, beach all walking distance - Awesome and helpful staff - No problems with dining, no need for reservations, didn’t have to wait long to get a table; food above average compared to other all-inclusives; alcohol very weak; enjoyed dinner at Brando’s; all restaurants mindful re: food allergies - Being cash for tips; staff deserve it - Say NO to timeshare presentation even if they give you a free cabana or 30-min massage - Email concierge in advance for food allergies so you don’t need to wait 10-15 mins in the lobby for them to enter that info in their system

Had an amazing time, our room was lovely and smelled so good!!! The staff were exceptional at all times. They are all so polite and great you whenever passing by. I liked that they took the time to learn my kids names while playing sports and taking part in activities daily! Loved it and will definitely stay again!!

Our check in was horrendous when we were told we had to downgrade our room. We were given a cabana to use as a gesture. The staff throughout the hotel was discourteous and rude. Often speaking rudely to me and my family when asking for basic things. We paid for club access and on the first day the security attempted to throw my father in law out of the club area instead of simply asking his room number. If this is an issue wrist bands should be used. The staff here needs to be trained in hospitality. Fortunately thanks to yefri at the pool concierge we had a good time for the remainder of our short stay. Unfortunately still won’t be returning.

Our accommodations offered spectacular views and provided a peaceful retreat after days filled with activities and relaxation. The resort's facilities are world-class. The pools were pristine and never felt overcrowded, the beach was gorgeous with plenty of comfortable loungers, and the various dining venues offered excellent variety. We particularly enjoyed the dinner restaurants, where the quality of food and service was exceptional. The entertainment and activities kept us engaged without ever feeling overwhelming. One small area for improvement: While breakfast offered good variety and options, the quality didn't quite match the exceptional standards set by the rest of the resort's dining experiences. Elevating the breakfast to match the dinner service would make this resort absolutely perfect.

The literal best all inclusive I’ve ever been to. The staff is top notch. They remembered my kids names and their drink orders. There is constantly activities, movie nights and shows. Every single person left an impression from the people checking you in, the ladies at the coffee bar, the staff at kids club, the amazing bartenders (shout out to Marco), wait staff, even housekeeping! Truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my kids first resort. The rooms are spacious, the food is great (including room service) the water park is fun. Not sure what else I could have asked for. Exceeded all expectations.

The HYATT ZIVA is a truly a marvelous place to stay. The staff here are wonderful and cater to every guests needs. They make you feel welcome and are very attentive. Every guest here is treated equally and respected making the experience all the more worthwhile. They have a diverse menu which will cater to everyone’s needs. Those with special allergies are taken into consideration and treated with plenty of care. There is something for everyone here. The moment you step foot here, you are welcomed with genuine kindness and a service that is truly unmatched and will leave you wanting to stay here forever. Catalino and George who are in charge of the mercado which is the buffet restaurant, are incredible as they do a wonderful job maintaining the restaurant and accepting all requests from the guests. They accepted any request that my mother and I had. They truly know the meaning of quality assurance.

I stayed here for 3 days and had a wonderful experience with my family here. It’s not too crowded or too big and the staff are wonderful. I had planned to propose on one of the evenings… plans got confused… and Flor the property manager stepped in to make it right. She and Karina in the Consierge helped me create a wonderful memory with my fiancé and I will always be grateful for this.

Hands down the best management of all the Hyatt’s I’ve stayed at. Beautiful rooms, receptive to any issues, correcting them right away and a room upgrade same day. The property is very modern and nice looking, tastefully designed

The Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana was a perfect vacation for our family. There were always things to do, food options were great and tons of options. The size of the gym was very impressive and so was the beach. We felt VERY safe during our time and never worried about letting our 11 and 13 year old go do their own thing.

I liked the quiet seclusion. The food was good for an all-inclusive (especially at The Tempest Table). Pools and beach were nice and staff was friendly.

The resort was very nice, and didn’t seem over-sized like some hotel properties where it is impossible to see everything, making it an ideal destination for families with kids or aging parents. The staff is amazing and very friendly. They are all very helpful and pleasant. They will try to upsell you at check in, if you’re not careful. The staff at the watersports area were hilarious and it was easy to borrow equipment to take out. The food was hit or miss some nights, you could tell that some desserts were mass produced, but anything that you saw people actually cooking or making was delicious.

If this resort fits into your budget, book it. The service is excellent; the employees are polite and helpful The grounds are immaculate The property is beautiful and tastefully decorated down to every last detail. Plenty to do, though 3-4 days is probably enough unless golf or excursions, etc... It is classy. The rooms were spacious, clean and current. Breathtaking from the moment you arrive from a brief affordable taxi ride from the airport, which is also quite nice. The food was great and there was an appropriate variety. I don't want this to turn in to the kind of interminable reviews that i despise; so, i will stop by just saying this place met or exceeded all expectations Despite the dumpster fire of travel disruption courtesy of Atlanta-based airline (flight canceled because of overfueling) coming home, we still got home smiling.

Really great for families. Food is what you’d expect but overall can’t complain about variety and quality for the scale they’re making it. They were really accommodating of some allergies in our party. As a family with small kids we mostly ate at the Mercado (buffet) since other restaurants are first come first serve and always had a long wait. We paid for the club access which is worth it because the drinks at Cocoonz are a thousand times better than non-club.

The staff is very attentive. The buffet food is pretty good. The overall appearance, ammenities and activities are very nice. A few things were horrible. We had to sign a waiver for each room, each day to use the waterpark. We rented a pool cabana and there was trash floating in the water around our area which was disgusting. We made a reservation at the Blind Butcher which had weird protocols. I had to literally initial three times and sign twice a contract indicating that I knew this restaurant was not included in the all inclusive package. If we were a no show we would be charged in full. If we left because we didn't like the menu etc we would be charged in full. Our family is 6 people. We were charged $845 which was not worth it so I understood why they required such a strong contract. It was very dark with poor table lighting and at times the music from the entertainment so loud we couldn't talk at all. Finally, at the VIP check out I had to get an exit pass or they would not let us leave. I've NEVER experienced this before travelling to 40 countries around the world. You literally have to present a pass that indicates you're settled your bill or the bell staff will physically detain you. I was shocked because this is an all inclusive family resort which requires prepayment so I can't imagine that people are skipping out on the gift shop bill. It made me feel like they didn't trust us so I won't ever be back.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, greeting us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel truly welcome throughout our entire visit. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully appointed with all the amenities we could want. Our accommodations offered spectacular views and provided a peaceful retreat after days filled with activities and relaxation. The resort's facilities are world-class. The pools were pristine and never felt overcrowded, the beach was gorgeous with plenty of comfortable loungers, and the various dining venues offered excellent variety. We particularly enjoyed the dinner restaurants, where the quality of food and service was exceptional. The entertainment and activities kept us engaged without ever feeling overwhelming. One small area for improvement: While breakfast offered good variety and options, the quality didn't quite match the exceptional standards set by the rest of the resort's dining experiences. Elevating the breakfast to match the dinner service would make this resort absolutely perfect.

A great hotel with good sized rooms and excellent service. Staff is all super friendly and attentive. We went a bit before February break so capacity wasn’t at max - no wait times for any restaurant. We enjoyed the water park a lot - it’s great for older tweens and even teens and there is a toddler version as well next to it. A fun lazy river and about 5 slides. The main pool is big (not the nicest we’ve ever seen but good enough) and the beach is clean and expansive. The food is good (not amazing but pretty good for an all inclusive) and there are decent restaurant choices plus room service (also included). Nice touches like daily wine and cheese in your room, turndown and handy amenities in bathroom. We didn’t have any teens for “teen zone” but it seemed like a decent hangout for older kids. Finally, liked the island vacation feel but only 20 min for airport.

My experience at Ziva Cap Cana, a 5-star resort, was disappointing. Everything was fine, but the downside was the room itself. I paid for an upgrade to access a private pool, and the room had mold. I could smell the mold. Hopefully, they can take care of that issue. I stayed in room 3106. Also, the food on the Mercado was rancid, I had shrimps that I could not eat.

The property and the activities are really good. The only recommendation I would give to the administration is to consider changing the hours in which some of the restaurants are open. The main buffet restaurant closes in the afternoon and reopens at 6:30pm. The main options for dinner open at 5:30 and only restaurant that is open before 5:30pm (when the other restaurants open) is really small, can’t sit big crowds and only offers fast foods. Which means that, for the people that like to have early dinner, the options are almost zero. Also, the restaurants do not accept reservations so get ready to wait about 45 minutes for a table if you want to have dinner by 6-7 pm.

The resort was very busy but we never had a problem finding chairs by the pools. The breakfast buffet and the Mongolian BBQ were the best food options by far.

Some real 5 star elements at this hotel. The Spa is a world class experience and very fairly priced for the amenities. The kids activities are excellent. The Waterpark superb. Fav food was the Indian restaurant. Upgraded to club level for better breakfast options. The staff are incredibly kind and hospitable.
