Jeg valgte hotellet fordi det var adults only og dermed roligt. Men der var larmende byggeri lige ved siden af, larmende unge teenagere fra fodboldhold og en spisesal som virkede til at forstærke frem for at dæmpe larm. Hotellet ligger godt lige ved lystbådehavnen men hele kysten fra Malaga til Fuengirola er plastret til i beton med sparsom natur. Meget flot natur hvis man cykler op til Mijas eller Alhaurin el Grande men det er 10 - 15 km væk. Hotellet reklamerer med parkering men havde ingen pga byggearbejdet på vejen udenfor. God frisk frugt, brød og pålæg til morgenmad men kaffen er lavet på kaffe koncentrat, fremfor friske bønner. Renligheden var generelt ok, men trappen til værelserne blev ikke fejet, endsige vasket i de ti dage jeg var der. Meget hjælpsomt personale.

The Parking was a Joke, you pay 15 euro a day for your car, To get in the the parking was no problem exept for two days i needed a new ticket, but to get out of the parking was a fars! The camera dident recognise the car, then you needed to back up, get out of the car and go in and tell the receptionist to open the gate and let me out. and i wasent alone with this problem...

You have got to love a hotel that allows dogs but not children! The area that dogs were allowed was restricted so they did not impact other guests. Also great that sunbeds could not be reserved and this was enforced. Great location. Great rooms. Good breakfast

Great location for walking to the marina and beach. Rooms (we had 2), though the bathrooms were a little dated, were kept beautifully clean and organized by housekeeping even when we didn’t leave til later in the day. Staff were mostly friendly, except one rather abrupt front desk receptionist, but Rafa, also at front desk, was FANTASTIC. As someone also in the hotel business is happily try to steal him for my small hotel if I could! We had a couple of minor issues but he went beyond the call to sort it out. The pools always had loungers available, no need to stress! Rooftop pool is very shallow but the water temperature very pleasant. Food at the pool bar was only ok. Smoothies didn’t seem to be fresh fruit. There was a bit of noise from roadworks but it wasn’t terrible though it did ruin the peace at the rooftop pool a couple of days. Overall a nice enough hotel if a little characterless.

We stayed for 11 nights for a relaxing holiday. The hotel was comfy and the reception staff very friendly. The bedrooms were modern however had little storage which made hanging up clothes difficult when staying for longer than 5 nights. The bathroom and shower were ok however there was mould on the silicone and on both shower heads. I cleaned the shower with a towel however I believe this should be done by the hotel daily. The pools were good and there were enough beds over the 3 levels. The pools however also were mouldy and require attention. Hotel bar reasonable priced with a great selection of drinks

The entrance and lobby at this hotel are simply gorgeous, a real attention to detail makes this a welcoming environment. The rooms are spacious and clean, and although the balconies are small, they do provide a lovely view. The solarium area and sunbathing spaces are ample and both pools were refreshing. The pool bar has lots of options and a nice food menu. Overall, having stayed in 5 or 6 hotels in the vicinity, Hotel Alay has proved to be my favourite and actually great value for money too.

Had a great time. Although we were only there 1 night. We were able to check in early and given access to our room! The man on reception was lovely and welcoming! hotel was spotless and all staff were friendly. Cant fault anything. Check out was 12 but were able to book a time slot for a room to have a shower which included towels and toiletries free of charge which was fabulous as we had a late evening flight! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

There was an awful smell of drainage from the bathroom and main bedroom area. The smell was toxic!!!! Nothing was done to eliminate this!!! Also pool are had food and drink left out for 3 to 4 days. Very windy the glass was smashed!!! Not goog for pool areas

The hotel looks to have had a recent refurb in some of the rooms but unfortunately we had a more dated room (not an issue for us) still very clean and had everything we needed. Also blessed with the most beautiful sea view. Staff were lovely, great service, throughly enjoyed our stay here.

My husband and I visit Benalmadena often, but have never stayed at this hotel. We are not traveling with children so we liked the "adults only" option. The room and hotel were very clean and the staff was very nice. Since we have never stayed at the marina, we asked the front desk a few basic questions about the ferry and cycle rentals. The front desk did not have any basic knowledge of anything around the marina. We asked more than one person basic questions and no one could answer our questions. (in fact, they didn't even know there was a ferry). They had a dancing performance one night that I thought was entertaining. I would recommend seeing it. The only real complaint I have about this location is our view. We paid extra to have sea view. Our room was facing the sea, but it was so low to the ground and just above the pool slightly that we could barely see the sea above the pool. We didn't feel there was any privacy or much of a view. They told us at the desk that we would have had to specifically ask when booked that we wanted a higher level. I guess we just assumed "sea view" meant "sea view". We would have done better getting partial view of sea and being higher up and saved the money. We did like the gym and breakfast was good, but I doubt we would spend the money to stay here again.

Beliggenheten var ok Rommet var ikke særlig godt utstyrt mht oppbevaring og sitteplasser. Men gode senger. Gatearbeid på dagtid med masse støy. Det samme var tilfelle i matsalen. Enkel mat ikke særlig smakfull, men bra med frukt.

Trevlig vistelse på hotell med bra läge. Nära till strand och många restauranger. Frukosten var helt ok, gillade att det fanns möjlighet att sitta ute och äta. Bra rum, dock hade vi rum ut mot marinan vilket gjorde att det var en hel del väsen nattetid. Vi betalade extra för havsutsikt, tror det är bra att önska kvällssol då rummet i så fall skulle vara åt andra hållet med mindre ”stök” nattetid.

In the restaurant at breakfast and evenings we experience great attention to detail from a man called William. He is top of his game and is a great advocate for the hotel. I would promote him if an opportunity comes his way. Loved the way he engaged with us about his travels and how much he enjoyed his work.

It was in a great location. Close to tons of bars and restaurants. Close to the beach and marina. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. Rueben at the front desk was extremely polite and helpful. The bartender and servers were all professional. Pool areas were clean but we noticed the out side and surrounding walkways needed to have a good clean.

Egentlig bare småting å bemerke - kunne tenkt meg et glass med stett på rommet, men var bare tannglass. Ba om å få bytte det etter noen dager, da fikk jeg et til og de stod på bordet hele ferien ... Tror ikke salongbordet ble rørt på våre 13 dager, Vasken på badet ble ikke vasket der såpa ligger. Og verandaen ble aldri vasket under vårt opphold. Noen av personalet i resepsjonen kunne gjerne vært hyggeligere - dette gjelder de mannlige. Øvrig personell i bar og matsal var nok underbemannet - de "fløy som øre høner" og virket veldig stressa. Og støynivået i matsalen var skyhøyt. Ble litt overrasket over at dybden i bassenget på terrassen ikke var mer enn 89 cm. Som sagt - småting som gjorde at dette hotellet ikke fikk full pott fra meg. Men vi hadde 13 fine dager.

Lovely location. Roadworks outside made entering the hotel less easy. Reception staff so helpful. However our bathroom seriously needed upgrading. Shower in Bath, difficult to keep temperature during shower. Breakfast cold in temperature.

Fantastic location near beach and marina complex. Yes, room decor was dated but everything was clean and the shower was powerful despite its looks. Great breakfast selection. I was worried about it being a dog friendly hotel as am not a fan of dogs but only saw one during our stay and it was leashed and quiet.

Booked a premium room with sea view. Room 608 was very spacious as was balcony. Unfortunately from inside the apartment we looked into buildings and only had sea view from balcony - not great if raining! I would say it was a side sea view- see photos. I realise I could have asked to move rooms but as there were barking dogs in , probably the best sea view room, it wasn’t worth the risk. Unfortunately the food is very mediocre. Excellent location.

Lovely location. Roadworks outside made entering the hotel less easy. Reception staff so helpful. However our bathroom seriously needed upgrading. Shower in Bath, difficult to keep temperature during shower. Breakfast cold in temperature.

Ligging en netheid top... Lawaai 's nachts op de gang van meestal Engelse toeristen... Ontbijt van gemiddelde kwaliteit...kan beter voor een 4sterren hotel in Spanje...veel beter

Poor air-condition, did not cool at all but blew only warm air around. Pool bar missed to deliver the ordered snack, when asked they just told maybe it was delivered to somebody else, no apologies, no refund. Key cards did not always work properly. Good breakfast. Sufficient cleaning and tidy property. Noisy construction on the road, but that of corse was not the fault of the hotel, otherwise excellent location.

Great location for walking to the marina and beach. Rooms (we had 2), though the bathrooms were a little dated, were kept beautifully clean and organized by housekeeping even when we didn’t leave til later in the day. Staff were mostly friendly, except one rather abrupt front desk receptionist, but Rafa, also at front desk, was FANTASTIC. As someone also in the hotel business is happily try to steal him for my small hotel if I could! We had a couple of minor issues but he went beyond the call to sort it out. The pools always had loungers available, no need to stress! Rooftop pool is very shallow but the water temperature very pleasant. Food at the pool bar was only ok. Smoothies didn’t seem to be fresh fruit. There was a bit of noise from roadworks but it wasn’t terrible though it did ruin the peace at the rooftop pool a couple of days. Overall a nice enough hotel if a little characterless.

El hotel no está mal , instalaciónes amplias , el desayuno muy bien y variedad , el personal atento Esta enfrente de la playa y se puede aparcar de pago en el hotel y cerca Lo malo , el baño muy viejo y las habitaciones y el hotel en general hay un olor a alcantarilla

Egentlig bare småting å bemerke - kunne tenkt meg et glass med stett på rommet, men var bare tannglass. Ba om å få bytte det etter noen dager, da fikk jeg et til og de stod på bordet hele ferien ... Tror ikke salongbordet ble rørt på våre 13 dager, Vasken på badet ble ikke vasket der såpa ligger. Og verandaen ble aldri vasket under vårt opphold. Noen av personalet i resepsjonen kunne gjerne vært hyggeligere - dette gjelder de mannlige. Øvrig personell i bar og matsal var nok underbemannet - de "fløy som øre høner" og virket veldig stressa. Og støynivået i matsalen var skyhøyt. Ble litt overrasket over at dybden i bassenget på terrassen ikke var mer enn 89 cm. Som sagt - småting som gjorde at dette hotellet ikke fikk full pott fra meg. Men vi hadde 13 fine dager.
