Good hotel close to shops and restaurants at Sunshine Plaza. Friendly staff and standard breakfast. Parking is not included, as it usually is at other Holiday Inn Express. But they have a parking garage next door for 15$ a night.

Check in was easy and the front desk staff member was professional and friendly. She gave us drink vouchers when she found out it was my birthday, which was a lovely touch. We were able to get a park in the loading zone in front of the hotel & unload our bags. Parking onsite was full, but $20 a day if you wanted to book it. A council parking lot was a short walk away and it was free to park on weekends and on weekdays about $2.30/hr so we parked there. The property itself was very modern & clean. Our room was quite compact but had everything we needed & was cleaned daily. The shower door design was a bit strange and easy to get water on the bathroom floor and you couldn’t put a bath mat down and have the door closed or it would screw up when you pushed the door open, or if you showered with the door open & bath mat down then water would spread on the bathroom floor. But not a huge issue. Just a bit of a design flaw. We enjoyed the free daily buffet breakfast. There are some fantastic dining options nearby, a minute walk. We dined at both Market Bistro & Giddy Geisha which were both amazing. The hotel is a minute from the sunshine plaza which is very handy for shopping & more dining options. It’s a short drive to Mooloolaba or Alex Heads. We had an enjoyable stay.

Lovely room with a comfortable bed and excellent shower. Loved the fact that the bar is attached to reception, we checked in and ordered drinks all at the same time! The staff are so beautiful and friendly and are so available to help. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool and bar. This place was such a great find .

Limited breakfast but it was included so not going to complain. There was enough for what you would need. Nice clean room, very nice hotel. Great spot, no complaints at all. If anything the only small complain is the pool could have been a little cooler. We went in to cool down but it was rather warm

Excellent facility but the parking is an issue. As a guest we shouldn’t have to pay. If we had to go out numerous times it would add up as well as the $12.50 per night. To enter the hotel was chaotic as Google maps directed us to another street due to construction. It wasn’t easy to find.

This is quite a new hotel, but doesn't seem to have it together yet. On check-in we were assigned a room that had not been serviced since the last guest had stayed. The second room we were assigned was okay. There's insufficient parking by a long shot. This is ridiculous for a hotel that seems to be targetting business people, likely driving cars they don't want to leave on the street or in open-air council parking. Buffet breakfast was okay, but no bacon. I know that's very specific, but it's a staple and it'd have to be the first buffet breakfast I've ever experienced that didn't have bacon. Other facilities were good. Nice gym and pool. Was good to see signs for AEDs, but disappointing to find the one on ground floor near the lifts seems to be behind a locked door, which defeats the purpose. All this for the bargain price of $400 per night - at the Sunshine Coast in the low season!

I can’t fault the service and facilities. The bed was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was a nice touch. My concern was the cleanliness. Room could do with a thorough cleaning.

To start with a positive the staff were lovely. That is where the positives end. When it says parking available, unless you pre book, there is no parking. Street parking is very very limited, their is paid public parking, but that is only good if you don't want to come and go. One of our pillow cases had stains when we checked into the room and while I was showing part of the shower just fell off. The free breakfast leaves much to be desired. It appears the hotel was very busy. Breakfast started at 7am, and by 8am there was very little food left. They did refill the hot food but cold breakfast wasnt refilled. The curtains are not block out curtains, so don't expect a sleep on. For the price, I would stay somewhere else

The staff were always helpful, polite and friendly. The amenities were great with a pool, fitness room and happy hour. Our room was serviced daily. It was a short walk to the shops, public transport and the beach and river. A beautiful, well looked after hotel with breakfast included located close to everything. What more could you want?

We had a lovely stay at the hotel and were quite impressed with some of the features like the attention to recycling (separate bins in lobby and rooms) and the excellent breakfast! Unfortunately the room was not properly cleaned on arrival: we found empty alcohol bottle under the bedside and dusty bathroom vent. The housekeeping was also very slow and only done at around 3pm and they were quite noisy talking across the passage. Had to ask for replenishing of the tea/coffee/sugar. They were however accommodating to us forgetting a toothbrush and when we needed an extra doona.

The room was modern and had a great bathroom, the area itself was very commercial and there was difficulty for parking, but a parking station closeby had parking by the hour up to a maximum of $15. I did find the aircon blowing on the bed made it difficult to sleep and pillows were strange. Free wifi was very handy and a nice free breakfast.

$549 for a box! Couldn't even move around.. nothing in the rooms for eating on so forget that.. and I mean not even a plate or bowl.. hardly had sugar to do me one night.. I've stayed in cheaper nicer places and with a better view!

We stayed in a one bedroom which was beautifully clean. The bed was comfortable & it was very quiet & had blackout blinds which made the room wonderfully dark for sleeping. The only thing i did not like was that the bathroom was all printed glass which did not create a feeling of privacy. I would stay again.

We always love our stay at the Holiday Inn Express! The location is super convenient to Sunshine Plaza and is a short walk to the Esplanade. Rooms are always so clean and comfortable, perfect for our family’s needs. The hotel was extremely busy over the school holiday time, so they could have done with a few more staff to help manage the reception and bar at happy hour. Otherwise staff were very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for another great stay!

The power/ outlets went out in our room a total of 7 times during the stay. Somehow me saying “yes if this happens again we would like to switch rooms” turned into us refusing to change rooms ? Along with that, the maintenance staff gave me attitude when I told him we were looking for housekeeping he told us the sign was the wrong way. I have photo proof (time stamped) to show we had requested the room service.

Unfortunately my daughter was rushed in for emergency surgery the night before the booking. The booking was changed via phone as this was part of her 18th birthday present. I was advised to wait for an email Re: booking changes and this feedback form is the only email received. Very unhappy with communication and the added stress. Zero customer service. Very unhappy customer. Still awaiting refund after sending medical certificate.

Quick check in and comfy bed. Bar service was extremely slow with only one member on at the time. Ordered dinner and was missing accompaniment when it came out. When asked, the staff member said there's only one. So she knew we ordered it but seemed like she hoped we didn't notice that it was missing. Disappointing.

A comfortable stay, room was nice but the jury is still out on the shower/toilet arrangement. Hotel parking is limited but the parking building next door is good alternative. Free breakfast was up to scratch. Not too far to the beach.

Breakfast was very average- long lines at buffet and lots of items not replenished and range of foods was very limited. Parking was a mission- after check out we had to pay then go back to reception and get reimbursed. Room was modern and clean but blankets would have been nice.

Staff was great. Disappointed with the : For one week stay they didn't change the sheets. For Breakfasts: every morning was empty we have to wait long time for food to arrive. If the hotel provides the Breakfasts for everyone who's staying in the hotel they should know exactly how many people are there and arrange property for food,staff chef's . One of the Coffe machine was broken from the first day we have arrived and still was out of order when we left.

The room was clean, comfortable, modern and very relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast included fresh, delicious rock melon and several flavours of Greek yoghurt which were also delicious. The cooked breakfast left a bit to be desired, with tough, dried out bacon and dried, unpalatable scrambled eggs (but it didn't matter as I just stuck to the fresh breakfast after the first morning.
