Great stay just outside the heart of Bergen's Bryggen area, right next to the fortress. We had no view out the window, but the business category room was a good size and bathroom very large for Europe. We also appreciated having laundry available (washer and dryer) on site, for a fee, for hotel guests. The building has no air conditioning, which was an issue when we stayed due to the July heatwave, but the front desk let us borrow a small fan which at least provided a tiny bit of moving air in the room.

Bodde her kun en natt. Helt ok rom med kjøleskap, vannkoker, te og kaffe. Greit bad og god seng. Veldig bra frokost, og parkering tilgjengelig på lukket område rett bak hotellet til kr 225,- pr. døgn. Kan trygt anbefale hotellet og bruker det gjerne igjen.

Super clean beds and sheets. Super clean room. Super nice shower - wow! We had a business room with a large bathroom. The breakfast is excellent and included in your stay - save yourself $$$ for a family (Norway can pinch your wallet). Super friendly front desk - understaffed at times - you need to wait in line to ask a simple question. Super nice location. Large locked up parking lot ($$) right behind the hotel. Overall, a very nice European standard, making most of the hotels in the US look substandard and dirty if compared to this property. Worth my money.

I always enjoy staying at Thon Hotels. We were able to check into our room even before 3 p.m. Later, we noticed some stains on the bedding. We reported it to the reception, and the staff member was very friendly, apologized several times, and immediately assigned us a new room. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The TV has a built-in Chromecast for streaming, and there is also a small fridge. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Bryggen, making the location very convenient.

Nous avions réservé une chambre à deux lits et nous avons eu une chambre avec un lit double en 140 ! La chambre est petite. Une fois, la valise ouverte, il n'y a plus trop de place. Et ne parlons pas de la salle de bain : un mouchoir de poche. Les personnes un peu ronde doivent avoir bien du mal à s'asseoir sur les WC car il y a peu de place. Et il est impossible de s'y tenir à deux. Durant les 4 nuits de notre séjour, la douche a fui. il manquait un joint à la porte et pour éviter que ça soit inondé, on devait rouler des serviettes pour faire barrage. Heureusement, le service de ménage nous en a données. Le ménage, ce n'est pas ça : cheveu dans le lit, poussière, verre pas lavé et changé... Peut mieux faire. Deux points positifs : le petit-déj est excellent et varié. Et l'hôtel est très bien situé. Suffisamment près du centre mais assez éloigné pour ne pas en avoir les nuisances...

I enjoyed Thon Hotel Orion because it was near the stores and attractions but not on the busy street. It was quiet and nice. The Hotel was generally clean and comfortable. However, staff did not keep the free coffee/tea area clean of dirty dishes nor stocked consistently. The room was small and few areas to store our clothes so it was tight to get around the bed and bathroom was small but my husband and I are not big people. Restaurant staff could be friendlier and more helpful but food was good and plenty available. We asked for breakfast to go but did not have much items to pick from and was given a plastic bag, empty bottle for drinks and 1 paper sheet for food with out explanation of what to do but we figured it out. we just expected like box for hot items so did a sandwich with cold meat/cheese. Front staff was helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was very helpful too. Wish that the hotel would have had permission to watch EuroCup in the Lounge-- there were many guests who were interested but they turned it off and said they had no permission so bummer and had to figure it out in the room instead with other guests to provide fun entertainment. First time in Norway-- fun time exploring

Excellent buffet breakfast as per all Thon group of hotels has and the room size was decent. Poor soundproofing of the rooms, I could hear the person in the room beside snoring and also for cases when people were moving the room chair. Reception was helpful and friendly.

Room had everything but is small…there’s a bit too much furniture for the size of room (dump the coffee table to start). Beds were comfortable and high enough so suitcases fit underneath - good move. The TV didn’t work because it was on the wrong input and there was no way to change it with the remote but that wasn’t bad. Breakfast is amazing!!! The best we had in Scandinavia by far.

The main issue was the temperature in the room - there’s no air conditioning, and though the outside temperature was in the 60s, the windows only open a fraction of an inch, and there was no way to get any relief. Otherwise, great location, walkable to many sites.

Very convenient to Bryggen and other places around the port, easy walk to funicular Floyen. Close to meeting places for tours. We could walk in 5-10 minutes. While the room we stayed in was nice it was SO dark. The bathroom was bright but the room itself, although there were lamps it was still hard to see. Also the duvets common in European hotels were very hot with no lighter covers in the room. We might have been able to get a fan but only thought of it when ready for bed. We adjusted the thermostat as low as we could. Weather was a bit warm for Bergen. Breakfast had many choices and we were glad it was included. Fare to the airport was happily arranged by hotel at a set rate which was around $55.

The staff here provided superior friendly service. The hotel is located in a perfect location, within walking distance of all of the major shopping, dining, and attractions of Bergen. The breakfast is unparalleled. Everything is so fresh and flavourful, and there are so many wonderful things to choose from to suit any pallette or diet. The entire experience was world class. Location was perfect-steps from museums iand amazing restaurants n the Bryggen area. The breakfast buffet was very good. We also found a little Kebob place nearby that had great affordable food. The staff were so nice, always answered our questions with a smile on their face. There is a nice little lounge area with coffee and tea in the main lobby. We really enjoyed our stay here and were sad to leave.

Great location. Wonderful harbor view. Very nice breakfast. Front desk was always busy so had to wait for service for long periods. Perhaps have two people on duty? When there were two, often both people worked together with the same customer.

Great location on a quiet street. They arranged an early2am airport taxi. Fixed price, much less than on-line. Would like some shampoo and conditioner in the room. Breakfast was the best of all our hotels in Scandinavia. Great selection and very fresh. Would use this hotel again.

The position of this hotel is very close to bryggen(0.2miles) It is next to the Bergenhus Fortress. Also it is very close to the flybussen stop ( the bus to airport). The room is a little small but clean. Also, the clerks are very friendly.

Très bon hôtel que je recommande. Je suis parti seul, et la chambre était très propre. J'étais au 8ème étage avec une belle vue sur l'arrière de l'hôtel. Chambre qui peut être un peu petite pour 2 personnes mais seul ca va. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel avec des buffets salés et sucrés (même du saumon fumé, en gravlax ou cuit). Le top de cet hôtel est vraiment sa situation géographique par rapport aux lieux touristiques à visiter à pieds (à 1 min à pied de Bryggen). Ils n'ont pas de restaurant pour midi ou soir mais vendent quleques salades ou wraps pour dépanner. Ils ne parlent que le Norvégien ou l'anglais attention. En tout cas je recommande cet hôtel.
