Stayed 5 nights

This is a tough one because the arrival was a total disaster but the rest of the stay was very nice. I'll explain, sorry it's a bit long. The bad bit first: we messaged the hotel several times in the lead up to our stay, to explain we'd be arriving late (after 1am) but they either didn't tell the night porters or the porters forgot as everything was closed up and we couldn't get into our room. With two children under 10 it was a nightmare. After 20mins looking for someone, anyone, our driver (thank goodness for him 🙏) found the porters and we got into our room, but the beds for the children that we'd requested and paid for weren't set up. The porters suggested they share the water-stained sofa with no bedding (funnily enough we rejected that idea!) and eventually, at 2am, we could go to bed. The good bit: the staff are very nice and friendly, the food is really good (pizza average, but steak,b tuna tartare, pad Thai and other local/Asian options all excellent). The pool lives up to the photos, the spa is great and the grounds are extremely well kept. It's a stunning get-away, just needs someone managing the email and Expedia account properly.

Blown away. The most incredible hotel I have ever stayed at . Got a free upgrade on checkin to a villa with a pool and I can’t thank them enough. Free foot massage voucher was amazing too

The view and serenity is absolutely beyond expectations. Staff are super friendly, helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend for that alone. Western food options however I would avoid, not very good.

Stayed 2 nights

I had booked the private villa with our own swimming pool. It is was a challenge to use the pool as this property does not heat the pools. The water was quite chilly and make it hard to really enjoy the use of the pool. Also, the swing was under maintenance but they had not updated this on their website. The food was decent. Due to the remoteness of this property there aren't many food options. I would not recommend order poached eggs here. Both the egg yolks on my poached eggs were overcooked. The property is very relaxing. I would not recommended booking for more than 2 nights as there is just not a whole lot to do at this property.

Stayed 3 nights

The staff here were very kind and helpful. This place was very quiet. I saw maybe 5 other guests during our stay. The room we stayed at was like a separate lodge. It had an unexpectedly large bathroom, bedroom/living room & patio overlooking the view. We used their laundry service which was nice and took less than 6 hours. Although we didn’t realize that they don’t dry your clothes so we had to drape them over the couch to dry. The food at the villa restaurant is ok. It rained most of the time we stayed there so we didn’t see the mountain but the view was still pretty. As soon as we were brought to our room we were told that they “sell the view” and during our stay we figured out what that meant. The facilities are a bit run down. The facets and outlets are flimsy. The hot water would run out in less than 5 minutes. There were a couple leaks in the roof of our lodge. The pool had a lot of rusty spots in it. The lodge has an opening between the roof and walls which they referred to as “Bali style”. There were bugs in the lodge all the time. We heard the lizards but did not see any inside. The electricity went out once because of heavy rain but it was back up quickly. The stay wasn’t bad overall but I wouldn’t recommend it to people who prefer a comfortable fancy place for their vacation.
