Very kind staff. Always ready to help you. Great room, very confortable bed... but the room need some renovations. Breakfast: Delicious and lots of food to choose from. But staff at breakfast, should be more attention to the request of the clients. The location, for me, was very central. Quite locations, with nice restaurants a one minute walking. I enjoy the detail of having a free shuttle that takes you until 2 kms from the hotel, where you wanna go. Overall, very nice stay.

This hotel really delivers the iconic Mandarin Oriental experience. The staff are courteous, professional, and attentive. The property is gorgeous. I was a bit worried that the entire property might be a bit dated, but I have a feeling like the photos don't reflect fully the actual state of the facilities and rooms here. We booked a standard room with two beds and it was very very spacious and modern looking. The spa facilities here are also terrific. The breakfast buffet has got a ton of options and the restaurant is very beautifully designed. However, I was a bit shocked to have had to wait in line for 30 minutes, having come to breakfast at 9:20AM. I really recommend coming early. This is not something I encountered in other properties. Other than that, however, this is an absolutely terrific property right in the center of Shanghai.

Very courteous and extremely helpful staff. Great location with the ferry close by and they offer shuttle service to the nearby subway station. The amenities such as the gym were very nice. Room was spacious and clean, and well kept by the housekeeping, including turn down service.

First time staying at Mandarin Oriental in Shanghai, and what a great experience it was! Front desk staff, fast check in, consierge (forgot name of the Mr.) gave me all needed informations about the hotspots in city! Room, modern, clean and spacious with a nice view over the financial district and the river. Breakfast is diverse, Asian/European style. Gym area is superb, combined with 25m swimming pool, saunas, and massage facilities. Overall good value for the money!

The hotel was on one of the best I have stayed in. Stayed for 9 days. The service was immaculate. I also had club room access which I highly recommend. Jem, Thomas, Stevie and the team offered us a fantastic and friendly service and made the stay enjoyable. Breakfast was fantastic, although 78 grill could improve the food being the only negative.

Stayed for a couple of nights at the end of a Chinese holiday. Our room was spacious, clean and had a view of the Pudong skyscrapers, including the Pearl. Breakfast was glorious, and the pool facilities fantastic. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout, and although it's a 15 minute stroll to the nearest metro, it's a very pleasant area.

Location was nice and quiet, approx 1/2 mile from the subway which was inconvenient. The hotel offered a shuttle to the subway but it’s one way so lots of walking. Concierge was wonderful, helped us out with everything. We stayed on the 17th floor and it seemed to have some water leak that damaged all the hallway carpet which smelled moldy, that should be repaired. Overall it was a good hotel more like a 4 star, the view of the river made the stay.

Like: Excellent customer service, all staff were professional, nice and helpful. Concierge helped me book train tickets when I checked out. Don't like: 1. The check in process was horrible; I booked the room 2 months in advance, and paid in full. Arrived after 5pm after a long flight, and the room was not ready, had to wait, then when I came up the room, the cleaning lady was still cleaning the room. 2. The carpet in the hall is so dirty and worn out, I feel bad for my shoes.

The room was spacious and had a nice lay out with a view of the Pearl tower. Housekeeping was great, they accommodated our different times we needed it to be cleaned depending when we left during the day. They were always very pleasant and greeted us warmly. Service at the entire hotel was five star, from the reception desk, gym attendants and conserve.

Stayed six nights in a Twin Star Suite and got a corner room with a fantastic view of the river and city. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The reception guy is not professional. We stay 5 days 4 nights. We asked for a little higher floor, but we only offer the room on 6 th floor. If we need higher floor, we asked to pay more. The other 2 groups of guest behind us, get offer 10 th or above floor by another receptionist. I felt being discriminated. The room mattress is too old as we sit on the bed, we hear the spring sound. The pillows are not supportive. After a night we feel neck pain and lower back pain. There are a lot of aging marks on the room wooden floor . There many old marks on the room carpet too. Overall it makes you feel you stay at a 3 stars hotel. A morning we take the breakfast, the escort staff bring us to the table just next to the busy noodle counter. There are couples tables behind the front,we ask for the change of table but the staff refuses and say the tables are occupied. We have our breakfast over 40 minutes, all the behind tables are still empty. It makes me feel that kind of service is not match to the name of the hotel.

We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong for 3 nights. We originally booked a Club river view room and was upgraded to a suite. The room was a large size, big lounge area, bedroom and good size bathroom. Unfortunately the decor is all rather dated, and the carpet could do with a change. View was very good but the room needs a make over. The breakfast area was great with a good selection and in the end we didnt use the club benefits. The gym was well equipped. I would not stay again as there would be other hotels with better room accommodation.

The service was very disappointing at this time. That was my fourth time in the hotel but seems staff was changed and not very well trained. During breakfast of first day a member of restaurant staff come to table twice just after seating while still eating charging breakfast because it was said there was no deposit in the room. Very embarrassing. Then the room was not cleaned and I had to call to ask to tidy up. I used spa service in the afternoon and signed to charge room. At night, had a drink in the bar and also asked to charge the room. Few minutes after I entered the room, the bar called asked to go there and pay because there was no deposit. I asked if they could come to room to pay and they did at least. Finally around 9:30pm the spa called my room while I was sleeping already charging for the service because there was no deposit. I have never experienced such situation where it is not possible to use hotel services and charge at checkout. This whole situation was at least extremely bothering and unpleasant.

Over all the experience is really good. However i did experience some issues during the stay which was quite slow to solve by the hotel. A lot slower than I expected. The room and other services has been amazing. Would visit again but would hope the team resolves issues a lot faster.

Absolutely enjoyed my experience staying here at Mandarin Oriental, Shanghai. Was given a complimentary upgrade for their executive club and was treated like a king. Staff was highly attentive and accommodating throughout the entire stay and even compensated one of our room service dinners since our neighbor was making a lot of noise moving boxes 12AM. Overall was a pleasant experience and look forward to my next visit.

I had a very comfortable stay at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong. El hotel es muy lindo y la atención excelente. El buffet de desayuno es buenísimo! Las alberca y el spa son súper buenos. El personal es muy amable. Hay un shuttle que te acerca a las atracciones que están del lado del Pudong, que es el barrio donde se encuentra el hotel, o te acercan a la estación del metro o ferry para que cruces. La habitación al principio teñir un problema con los lavabos porque se tapaban, pero lo arreglaron. En general es bastante bueno.

What an incredible stay! Location is perfect since it'a walking distance to the Gala mall with tons of food options, and the surrounding is so clean and quiet. Incredible attention to details, from top to bottom. We got the lounge access room and it was amazing. The buffect breakfast is so conprehensive that my teenage kids both love it. The quality of food is incredible. The michelin 1 star restaurant on premise is really great too. Overall, this hotel had made our stay in Shanghai that much more impressive.
