We were told that it was one floor up to our room. When we got there, it was two floors up to get to the lobby. There were no railings on the side of the stairs, making it totally unsafe to try to ascend these two flights of stairs to get to the lobby. I had told the staff repeatedly, that one of us was handicapped, I feel like we were disregarded and lied to. Never made it to the room.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were 3 pools and an amazing view of the ocean. The only problem i had was that the property is on the side of the hill so there are lots of stairs. Lots! But other than climbing the stairs i would definitely stay again.

The property is aestheticly beautiful with a nice view. There are no elevators and the stairs are treacherous to say the least (steep, wet, no handrails). Our room had no air conditioner. Pools were very cold. The room was spacious and well appointed with appliances and a nice balcony and a living area. There were some electric issues (shocked when using one of the light switches. The mattress was thin and hard. The hotel is a great value. No food service but Uber Eats available.

Pros: Close to the Romantic Zone and easy to walk to restaurants & entertainment. Reasonable price. Nice pools and public areas. Cons: Stairs, stairs, stairs, and more stairs. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs. Not for the faint of heart. Suite had a very strange layout and there was no room to walk around the small bed. No A/C - good luck during warmers days. Furniture was old a dated, but clean. Shower floor was a bit dirty. A lot of road noise.

I stayed at Hotel Casa Anita for two nights. It was very clean and comfortable. Wear your walking shoes because there is no elevator at this picturesque hotel! It has amazing architecture, though. The steps themselves are beautiful! To economize, I stayed in the cheapest room, but I think I had the best view! I got to see the beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean. There is a picture of this great view online in the advertisement. There was no hairdryer in the room so I had to ask for one. Also, my room was missing the hotel book which informs you about what you need to know. The hotel is convenient to the beach. You just have to walk 5 minutes along the little road, which has a convenience store, and then turn left down the steep hill along the narrow street which takes you to the beach. That is about a 10-minute walk to the beach on a quaint, narrow shopping street. I had breakfast at a little place called "Coffee Cup", a nice omelette with egg and tomato, along with toast and fruit. Later in the day, I had a delicious fish dinner at a wonderful restaurant called "Si Senor", located near the bottom of that little street, and opens onto the beach, itself. The waiters were professional and friendly. My waiter, Luis, made me an excellent Caesar Salad to go with my dinner. Everyone at Hotel Casa Anita was so kind, helpful, and welcoming, including Geraldo and Ivan, the managers at the front desk. I definitely would stay there again!

Has great ocean views as well as beautiful property grounds on the outside. Was told there was a heated pool. Neither pool was warm enough to use. The room I was given had old worn out couch and bedding cover smelled of sweat. Pillows needed replaced due to smell and discoloration from it. No privacy in living area as the curtains were transparent because of rod being broken wear the curtains to provide shade and privacy were absent. Spoke with management and was dismissed. Traveling as a solo female these things matter.

Old dated furnishings in A3. No toaster, nowhere to plug in microwave. Coffee maker is old and leaks all over the counter. There are a number of flights of stairs that have no railings and are extremely dangerous especially if your hands are full. Slippery stairways as water from landscaping spills onto stone steps. The entire deal wuth the stairs is extremely unsafe. The housekeeping staff was wonderful and gracious and professional. The lady at the front desk has a bit of an attitude, doesn’t appear to enjoy her job. Location and views are spectacular however i won't stay again. Lots of other locations and options in the area.

Very clean casitas, beautiful views! Friendly and helpful staff. Got our cardio in with all the steps. Too many steps to our room... On site laundry and jug of water at low cost. Walking distance to malecon boardwalk. Make sure you get a room with air-conditioning. It can get hot 🔥 in vallarta. Our room had 2 ceiling fans and a nice cool breeze at night! Will be back soon God willing 🤗🙏. Thanks to Gerardo for the room upgrade! Very much appreciated.

Casa Anita; was OK. Our stay was March 7, 2023 - March 21, 2023. We knew there would be lots of stairs, after coming and going 3 - 4 times a day at 102 steps (we counted) to our room; it was a bit much. Not a place for anyone with health issues. Lots of maintenance going on during our stay. Beds are old and hard, springs could be felt and need updating. The kitchenette, in our room # 10 needs a deep cleaning. Heavy sticky grease from cooking can be felt on all surfaces. Staff were very friendly, housekeepers were there everyday. So that was good. Overall, it was OK. Due to the amount of stairs I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone over 30 years old, and not handicap friendly. We paid $140.00 Canadian / night. We feel it was an $80.00 / night, stay. Over priced considering everything. But all the prices for everything in PV has gone up considerably. Shelley & Miles from Winnipeg Mb Canada.

The staff were excellent. The long flight of stairs is challenging. The room was clean but small and very dated with the old mirror wall and red velvet bedspread, and the worn out chair. It had a nice balcony with a great view and awesome location.

El hotel ya es muy viejo intentan tener todo en las mejores condiciones pero le urge cambiar colchones no tienen control con el ruido con otros huéspedes, las almohadas están de pésima calidad los colchones aún más, la caja de seguridad es una puerta de fierro con un candado el wifi es muy malo la descripción de la habitación dice que tiene tina con la cual no cuentan

Super unuque place built on a hill. Lots of stairs but that wasn't an issue for me. Rooms have a full kitchen. Close to everything. Tons of character. I would definitely stay again.

Great staff, great view, easy location (if you’re ok with hills and stairs 😉) and very reasonable price. AC would have been nice for the time of year (November), but the staff were accommodating with an extra fan - hot water was a bit spotty as well. Overall would recommend.

The staff were excellent. The long flight of stairs is challenging. The room was clean but small and very dated with the old mirror wall and red velvet bedspread, and the worn out chair. It had a nice balcony with a great view and awesome location.

I stayed at Hotel Casa Anita for two nights. It was very clean and comfortable. Wear your walking shoes because there is no elevator at this picturesque hotel! It has amazing architecture, though. The steps themselves are beautiful! To economize, I stayed in the cheapest room, but I think I had the best view! I got to see the beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean. There is a picture of this great view online in the advertisement. There was no hairdryer in the room so I had to ask for one. Also, my room was missing the hotel book which informs you about what you need to know. The hotel is convenient to the beach. You just have to walk 5 minutes along the little road, which has a convenience store, and then turn left down the steep hill along the narrow street which takes you to the beach. That is about a 10-minute walk to the beach on a quaint, narrow shopping street. I had breakfast at a little place called "Coffee Cup", a nice omelette with egg and tomato, along with toast and fruit. Later in the day, I had a delicious fish dinner at a wonderful restaurant called "Si Senor", located near the bottom of that little street, and opens onto the beach, itself. The waiters were professional and friendly. My waiter, Luis, made me an excellent Caesar Salad to go with my dinner. Everyone at Hotel Casa Anita was so kind, helpful, and welcoming, including Geraldo and Ivan, the managers at the front desk. I definitely would stay there again!

Great staff clean hotel, very Beautiful. Only complaint is steps, steps, everywhere, steps, indoor steps, outdoor steps, need to cross a very busy street to get into town up on the hill. Just be aware very many steps. Other than that. Beautiful hotel.

La persona que nos recibio a nuestra llegada, tenia mucha prisa por irse, antes de atendernos estbaa con otra persona con la que si se tomo su tiempo para atender pero no se si por nosotros ser Mexicanos nos digo todo a a carrera y no nos dio la informacion que e requeriamos para poder conocer, tuvimos que investigar por nuestra cuenta. Las contraseñas que tiene del internet no funcionaba ninguna, el refrigerador ademas de viejo sonaba terrible, no se podia dormir, la cama muy dura y kas almohadas incomodas. El llegar a la habitacion fueron muchisimas escaleras, super incomodas, entre as subias se iban haciendo muy incomodas, lo unico bonito era la vista. En general una experiancia muy mala, no me volveria a hospedar en ese lugar

Old dated furnishings in A3. No toaster, nowhere to plug in microwave. Coffee maker is old and leaks all over the counter. There are a number of flights of stairs that have no railings and are extremely dangerous especially if your hands are full. Slippery stairways as water from landscaping spills onto stone steps. The entire deal wuth the stairs is extremely unsafe. The housekeeping staff was wonderful and gracious and professional. The lady at the front desk has a bit of an attitude, doesn’t appear to enjoy her job. Location and views are spectacular however i won't stay again. Lots of other locations and options in the area.

There's no service after 5:00 so if you arrive after that time you're out of the hotel you have to be in fabulous condition if everything is working now stairs

The first guy that checked me in left a lot of things undone (but i didn't know) so it caused confusion when i asked to change rooms to one with A/C. Apparently he was fired "for being on tequila" so i had to spend a very long time checking in. Checking out was also ridiculous- I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up to the office, and they got my deposits confused (tequila guy errors) but finally straightened it out. They are very nice, very friendly but need to get their stuff together because i was worried i was going to miss my flight. If you aren't in a hurry to get checked in or out, I would recommend for a safe, out-of-the-way spot. Bring shampoo!

This hotel is great for views, being close to the beaches but far from the noise, and feeling like you're getting a Mexico experience in a fairly touristy town. It's the kind of place that hasn't changed in a while, in a good way. The stairs are real, but not that bad. My biggest room for improvement would simply be to replace some of the lightbulbs with warmer ones.

Just a few minutes walk from the beach. I recommend the place if traveling with group of friends and family very homey vibes, the only downside is too much stairs and is hard going uphill if you have luggages, also it is located on a busy street so it’s a challenge to cross. Overall a good place to stay.

Pros: Close to the Romantic Zone and easy to walk to restaurants & entertainment. Reasonable price. Nice pools and public areas. Cons: Stairs, stairs, stairs, and more stairs. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs. Not for the faint of heart. Suite had a very strange layout and there was no room to walk around the small bed. No A/C - good luck during warmers days. Furniture was old a dated, but clean. Shower floor was a bit dirty. A lot of road noise.

The property is aestheticly beautiful with a nice view. There are no elevators and the stairs are treacherous to say the least (steep, wet, no handrails). Our room had no air conditioner. Pools were very cold. The room was spacious and well appointed with appliances and a nice balcony and a living area. There were some electric issues (shocked when using one of the light switches. The mattress was thin and hard. The hotel is a great value. No food service but Uber Eats available.

We were surprised when we first got there as there is no air-conditioning. As it turned out the ceiling fans and the breeze in the evening managed to keep it fairly comfortable. The other concern was the number of stairs that one had to climb when bringing your luggage or groceries. We had 114 stairs. Some of the stairs had no railing.. The staff was friendly. The property had two small pools, which were nice. The room was spacious with a living room, kitchen bathroom and bedroom. It was an open concept. We had a very nice ocean view. The street noise is from below was quite annoying as the traffic seemed to go by all night. It’s on a major highway.

Great location and view but that’s about it. NO AC. Bathroom was dirty and shower head need a replacement. The traditional vibe is great but you can still update items used like a new shower head. No towels had to ask. Also the door key is a pain as they only give you one per room and a remote that doesn’t work the tv for $500 pesos. For the price there are hotels in the same area with AC and not a million stairs. This could be a very nice property it just needs a few modernizations and a good deep cleaning.

The room was bright and spaceous, staff was amazing. Everything was clean and convenient. Lots of stairs, but like a good hike, every step brings you closer to an amazing view. Balcony was a great place to hang out, overlooking the ocean and distant mountains, and just a short walk to great beaches, restaurants, shops, and all the things that make PV fun. Couldn't ask for a better experience.
