Hotel Pacific, Manhattan Beach

The garage seemed unsafe. People smoking pot in there. Worker blamed us after giving us the key to an occupied room. They claimed we read the room card wrong.(but had that been true, our key wouldn’t have opened the door) the morning staff was friendly. That’s about all that’s going for them. Sorry it’s not a great review

Walking distance to Manhattan Beach (although we drove down to the Von's parking lot and then walked from there). Parking on site is TIGHT...we had a Tahoe and it took several maneuvers to get in and out of our parking spot...but its free....so.... Room was a 'family suite'. It was basically 2 adjoining rooms with one room that has no access from the outside. It had a funky smell that we quickly became nose-blind to after a half hour in the suite. Two full bathrooms. Fan/Light in the bathrooms was sketchy AF and loud. The bathrooms looked like they had a quick slap together renovation a decade ago and it was starting to fall apart. No Tub - just two showers. Beds were terrible - uncomfortable/lumpy and burn marks in the bedding. Carpet was clean but old. TVs also didn't work well. One was tiny and both had only sports channels and the other one didn't turn on (we had to plug it in, but then realized it was unplugged because you couldn't turn it off with the remote). Wi-Fi was good. Free breakfast was in a tiny room off the lobby. (like the size of a twin bed). The room was sweltering and could not fit more than 3-4 people comfortably. We had free waffles though and coffee. Fridges in the rooms worked really well and had small freezers. Air Conditioners worked well. There was some sort of ice machine or something outside our room that would randomly make loud noises. There is a pool that was at the hotel next door. We did not walk there to try it.

Upon arrival, the front desk employee informed me that there was a $10 charge for parking even though their website says at the top of the amenities list "free parking." I complained and the front desk employee basically put the key card on the desk and didn't say another word about breakfast hours, room number, etc. The hotel room was just ok and the "free breakfast" was very limited with cereal, toast, coffee, juice and waffles. Also, the shower pressure was really bad. I won't be staying here ever again.

My group consisted of three adult females, a little girl and a baby. Our room was clean. But we battled ants every day around the bathroom sink. I’m sure they just wanted water. There seemed to be long term residents or just sketchy vacationers that made walking through the building very intimidating. Friday night there were many people partying on the balcony over the parking structure entrance (right outside our window). They were very loud and they carried on fairly late. In the morning there was trash on that balcony and the elevator had empty alcohol containers. Also…upon arrival, I was told I had to pay $10 per night, cash only for parking. The ‘cash only’ seemed very sketchy. He never asked for my license plate or make/model of car or offered me a receipt for my cash payment. Thankfully I had cash on me, but that transaction made me feel uncomfortable.

Just okay! Fine place to sleep for one night if staying near the airport and want to see Manhattan beach. Had a room right near the ice machine which was very loud and there were a lot of people hanging out smoking and talking late into the night that kept us up. Also parking is not free as advertised, they charge $10 FYI

Roaches all over, stains on furniture

Black mold in my bathroom. No exhaust fan. They let me change rooms only for there to be black mold in the new room as well. Room was decent besides that issue. Hotel is on busy loud street. Had a nice outdoor patio area. I paid for family suite with four beds. Only to be surprised with three beds instead. Confirm this before booking

We arrived at this property it was not clean the door didn’t lock properly, there was blood stains on the mattress the walls were dirty and there was roaches in the bathroom it was a horrible experience I had to pack up and move to a different hotel and the hotel didn’t refund me.

Had roaches everywhere I’m so disappointed in this place because I use to use this hotel often the amount of roaches and the people standing out side my door laughing and talking loud well pass 3am was ridiculous and when I told the front desk about the roaches he asked if I wanted him to come in and kill them terrible experience for Manhattan beach

Check-in process was smooth, parking was convenient, and the room was somewhat clean and comfortable for the most part. However, one thing we could not get over was the wet, sort of moldy smell in the room. Would’ve been a much better stay if it wasn’t for that. It gave the room a really dirty feel. I have to say the showers could’ve been scrubbed down as well. Lastly, the staff could’ve been a lot friendlier too.

We have stayed at this hotel and the one that across the street with the same owners called the wave. This is a very bad experience as we are told we could go to our room and we got there. They were still cleaning. The woman had a spray bottle with purple liquid And I assume that’s what she was gonna spray on the floors which she did and left residue everywhere with a strong odor that would not dissipate. Furthermore, I had to take a towel and clean the floors to get the residue off the floor, which took me a half hour. Next, the remote control the network for the TV. When I went to the front counter, a woman said she would help me and told me she’d be there in a little while an hour and a half later I went back to the front desk and she said oh it’s not working yet. She and another gentleman came to the room within five minutes with approximately a dozen controllers none of which would operate or function the TV. They told me to be patient as they were attempting to fix the situation. Never heard from them again. It seems the quality of the rooms and service is starting to disintegrate and may be reflected in the price which has steadily been going up but now is coming back down again.

Hotel is run down, dirty and in poor condition. Room was old, even though they refurbished it, but was still in bad condition. No TV service, poor internet.

It was nice and updated while keeping it's original charm. The plugs in the room need to be updated. Devices didn't remain plugged in.

This was a great experience. The room was huge for the price and it was only 15 minutes from LAX. It had free off street parking and the property and vibe were positive and fun. The room actually had two sleeping areas and was very spacious. The only complaints was the bedstands are made of a metal material and make a loud clanging noise when accidently kicked, which happens a lot when traveling with children. Other than that, no issues at all. I plan to stay here again if we ever need a hotel in this area.

Good value accommodation not far from LAX airport and Manhattan beach. Spacious rooms, clean, it was very quiet during my stay, bed was comfy enough. Decent restaurants in easy walking distance. Hotel breakfast very sparse, but alternative options close by.

The property boasted beach access yet it was 2 miles away. Additionally, i booked a room wirh 2 queen beds, yet the beds were full size at best. The fan in the bathroom was attached to the light and it was so noisy we hated turning on the light. Also, once we were settled in for the night and shut the light off (BTW no lamps only overhead lights) there was a gap in the seal of the door which made us wonder how secure it actually was! We felt it was over priced given the fact it didnt even have what it said it did!

The room was very spacious and clean. The shower head didn’t have enough pressure and there was no office chair for me to do work on the desk below the TV. Other than that, the stay was overall good.

Hotel was very easy to find and check into. Quiet area close to beach and good dining options. Loved how close to airport it is as well. Toom was very clean and had all we meed. The bed was VERY sunk in and uncomfortable. Toilet seat had cracks and was in need of a replacment long time ago. Other than that, room was great for rest and shower.

Reserved a 4 bed grand suite back in March for a family trip at the end of August. Was given a 3 bed room and wasn’t notified by manager that I was given a 3 bed room. I didn’t find out until I walked in room. Went to front desk to notify them and was told 3rd party screwed up not them. That hotel.com double booked. I told them it was unacceptable that I needed 4 beds because I had a party of 8. They resolved the issue by giving us a single roller bed. Do

The place was really nice, I liked parking was free, continental breakfast could be better if there was someone taking care of it, it was all messy and dirty, not stocked enough. The guy who checked us in was terrible, he was on a call on his personal phone while he just gave us the keys to the room, he just pointed with his hand which direction to go. He never told us about breakfast. He didn’t give us instructions about the hotel. I work at the front desk on a resort/hotel and I know this is not the correct way to serve guests. We asked him if we could split out balance in 2 cards, I don’t know what kind of sistem they use, but he just say “no” on a rude way, like if he just didn’t wanted to help. The room was ok but you were able to see how bathroom was splashed, and not totally clean, I guess for being close to Manhattan beach and the accesible location the price is worth it, keep on mind you will prefer to go out to have breakfast.

The person who checked us in was extremely unfriendly, rude, and couldn’t care less about our needs. Breakfast was such a disappointment, they have waffles with no options for toppings, no syrup or anything.

Confirmed reservation meant nothing here—no notice, no apology, just a masterclass in blame-shifting and indifference. Front desk employee cared more about pointing the finger than addressing the issue. Never again.

The male employee that checked us in was very rude. Did not greet us and hardly spoke to us which gave a bad impression right from the start. Housekeepers did not replace us with fresh towels during our stay. We had to either call or walk up to the front desk.

Booked grand family suite with 4 beds and they gave me the family suite with 3 beds. They offered a roll out bed but then never brought it. After asking for it they said it was broken. My kid had to sleep on floor.

The check-in guy was rude and not accommodating. He wanted $20 to check me in a half hour early. Luckily a manager was nearby so I was able to ask him and he allowed it. Rooms are nice and clean but I don’t like parking in an underground garage and the elevator was scary if you’re alone. Nice area. Starbucks across the street. All in all I won’t be staying here again.

Good location, was comfy and clean and close to Manhattan Beach, a bonus having Starbucks across road for morning coffees!

Convenient, beach was a little bit of a hike but close enough to walk to and enjoy while we waited for check in time. Felt safe in the area. They were able to hold our luggage for us before check in so we could explore. We had gotten off of a cruise that morning so we had lots of time before we could check in.

The hotel was very conveniently located. We walked to the beach one day. Very safe area with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The room is has a lot of space. It was clean and smelled clean. There are a lot of restaurants in walking distance. Also, the pier is a 5 minute drive. There are a bunch of great places to eat as well as a huge beach.

Great area, close to the beach and other great spots, but still quiet. Great staff. Clean. Very easy parking. My fourth time staying. Always nice, quiet, a respite, Thank you!

front-desk staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and nice! the rooms were good, big and comfortable. parking space was great and big enough for all the guests. shampoo and other amenities were way better than expected. the bathroom was dirty, found pubic hair on the floor. breakfast has to be taken exactly at their time, got there 20 minutes later and even though the food was still available the responsible woman wouldn't let us in.

Location location location! About a 20 minute walk to Manhattan beach. Surrounded by many food and shopping places. It is on a Main Street, which I knew when booking, but wasn’t too noisy. Room was clean, no carpet and looked newly updated. Free breakfast was nice. They offered waffles, cereal, bagels, bread and other pastries. Great spot for the price! Quick & easy check in & check out.

This motel was awesome! We arrived late, check in was quick and easy. We were pleasantly surprised with the nicely updated rooms and great breakfast. Prices per night were great. Highly recommend!

Property was exactly what I was expecting for the price. It wasn't OLD but it wasn't NEW. It was clean. They management has done a nice job trying to update the place although it still has room for improvement. We stayed in a 3 queen, 1 bath room. There was 2 adults and 4 children. There was room to move but the place was full. One bed seemed only like a full not queen. The A/C worked fantastic. The shower was great. The beds were comfy. The free breakfast could have used some work, several appliances were out of order so you couldn't make anything but they did have a couple choices like bagels or bread. The staff was very nice and friendly. The parking was easy and nice. The location was great. We never felt unsafe although I wouldn't have left my kids there alone. Overall I would probably stay here if the price was the same or less. It was nothing fancy but what we needed for our short stay.

Competent renovation. Awkward negotiations with desk clerk -inadequate authority for decisions. Breakfast "open" but de-contented: No 2/2, waffle maker inoperable. Room lighting minimal.

This is good location for budget friendly. They have started doing replacing old carpet to vinyl but not all rooms jas it. They do have refrigerator and coffee machine. They do also serve breakfast ( Muffins, coffee, cereals, bread, bagel and waffle as well)
