Catalina Island Seacrest Inn

It's not a luxury hotel, but the shower doubled as a jacuzzi, there is a rooftop barbecue with seating area, you can check out beach towels from the front office, and you can store your luggage in the front office before you check in. It is just one block up on the very first cross street from the ferry terminal. The environmentally friendly refillable shampoo, conditioner, and lotion containers are thoughtfully labeled with a label maker. Best of all, Michael at the front desk has a contagious joyful smile. There was no door on the bathroom, but fortunately it is around the corner from the bedroom and not visible from the bed or the fireplace.

Awesome time! We loved the ambience of the room. It has rustic charm. The ropftop has a beautiful view of the island.What iloved most was that the staff was kind enough to hold our luggage until the room was ready. We were able to enjoy the island without tugging our luggage around. They also watched our luggage after we checked out so that we could continue to enjoy ourselves until it was time to leave the beautiful island. Our room had a lovely huge hot tub. Perfect after a long day of walking. Extra bonus!

They were very friendly and held our bags before checkin and after checkout. We had a street side room that was rather noisy until about 9 but after that it was fine. The roof top deck provided great views and a comfortable spot to relax and a bbq for guest use.

Loved our stay here. The rooftop alone makes it worth it. Great views and privacy. We would stay here again next time we come.

Room was cute, and had a private entrance on the side of the building which made it more quiet to sleep from the golf carts. Unfortunately the mattress quality was not good at all, and the toilet kept getting plugged. The roof top was being renovated as well, which was not on their website or other third party sites, so we were unable to use their grill to cook. A side table with chairs would have been nice as well outside of our room.

Our room was so cute and we even had a jet tub! Just what I needed after a couple days of camping. The location is perfect and walkable to everything and the rooftop fuse was a bonus. Staff was really nice and allowed us to store our luggage.

Beautiful view from the roof deck. The beds were cozy and the hotel is walkable to the ferry and all the shops and restaurants.

Location. AMAZING. Check in process was super easy. Was given a tour of our room personally by the receptionist. Pet friendly. So very nice of them to allow us to bring our fur babies. We will be back. Room was #3 the seashell. Oh wow was it nice. Bottom floor right next to a nice lounge area. Bed was super comfy. TV was ok as a streaming TV until everyone else decided to stream too and then nobody could watch anything. Good thing we weren't in room long enough to watch. Bathroom was wonderful and the amenities were quite spacious. Very comfortable and easy to get around in the morning or during the night. The jacuzzi bathtub was amazing and I got a massage on my tired feet in here that I'll never forget. If you use the shower, be careful and use the mat as the tub can be slippery. The air conditioner is wonderful and keeps the room comfy. There is a fan in the room that was a life saver. Finally, there is a "fireplace" that's basically a flickering light that provides ambiance. And, it makes a noise so at night we turned it off because it kept us up. Only recommendation would be bring your own slippers as hardwood and tile floors can be unforgiving on tired feet. Finally, upon checking out, it was super easy. We just gave our keys back and the manager thanked us for our stay. We absolutely loved our stay here. very personable and it felt personal like we were staying with our aunt or something. We absolutely loved it and hope to come again some time.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a larger room with a view on the third floor. The room was very clean and in good repair. It included a large Jacuzzi tub, a double shower, and a pretty full kitchen. Now for the issues. The observation deck above us was not available due to construction on it and the stairs leading to it. The work did not start until after 8am, but along with general construction noise, it did sound like they dropped an occasional anvil on our ceiling. There was no ice available on the property and the micro-fridge in the room did not have an ice tray. (Warm margaritas just don't work.) The staff was friendly and I would recommend staying there, I'm sure our issues have been ironed out by now.

The rooms were nice and clean. Area was pretty quiet. Check in was quick and efficient. The only real issue was the spotty Internet and as a result, the TV was buffering most of the time.

Nice host, clean rooms

Staff was very friendly, room was very clean. Room was a little noisy because it faces the street, but they did provide ear plugs which was a nice offer. Love that they have beach towels to use! One thing I would recommend to staff is a mattress topper added to the bed because the bed sinks in the middle so it was hard for 2 to sleep comfortably.

We had a great stay! The manager was very nice and accommodating. My only complaint was we had to wear our shoes around the room because our feet would get too dirty walking around. It’s understandable considering it’s in a beach town but a little extra floor cleaning wouldn’t hurt. Overall we would stay at the Seacrest Inn again.

110 year old house converted into a hotel. Quirky, but in need of proper renovation. Shower/tubs were in chipped, corroded condition and shower heads were fouled with mold and deposits. The staff was pleasant and they moved me to another room, which was bigger but no cleaner. More reasonably priced than other places on the island but about a 7.0, definitely not a 9+.

The room we stayed was very small, the good thing is that have a small fridge and a microwave. Stairs to go to the rooms, very poor internet connection. Good location, walkable distance from Catalina ferry dock, shopping and dining area.

Bed was comfortable, good TV, shower hard to regulate hot water, floor not cleaned adequately.

I stayed in the garden room. However the stopper for the tub was broken when I tried to use the spa tub. I had to use a towel instead to keep the water from going down. There were black hairs in the bathroom towels upon arrival, and the floors were dirty. However, the king bed was nice and comfy and slept well.

Staff very nice and accommodating. The property is very run down and needs work. Room very dark, windows small. Using smart tv was pointless, no cable or satellite availability. Needed to have your own streaming accounts. Which if you did, the internet was very spotty and was off line more than it was on. Needed towels in evening, staff left at 4:00. Bed very uncomfortable.

While the location was perfect, the room was disappointing. There is literally no door separating the main room from the bathroom. The mgr said that all rooms are like this. It felt very exposed with zero privacy. The bed frame was extremely noisy and the slightest turn made the whole bed shake and creak. Not conducive to a good nights sleep when your spouse tosses and turns thru the night.

The rooms are small and dated.

This hotel is a converted house. Very charming and clean. I had the mermaid room which is located outside the main entrance. It’s a small room max 2 people. The bathroom is standing room only for one person. If you are a big person you may not want this room. The shower is really small, half size. We like the fact the room is on the first floor with its own entrance on the side of the building. The noise level was high because of all the golf cart motors and construction. The hotel does provide ear plugs. If you are a light sleeper you may not want this room. I also love this hotel because of the location, balcony view of the marina, use of the grill on top or the balcony. Vons is just a block away. Mini golf a block, bars one block away. All very close. I would return again.

Great views from the rooftop. Room was small but very efficient; had everything we needed. Close/walking distance to everything on the island. Customer service was outstanding.

Older building very close to all. Enjoyable rooftop patio. Room was clean buy overall could use simple upgrades. Small but suitable. Priced appropriate but if I went back to Catalina I might look for a nicer accommodation.

Seacrest was a lovely place to stay. It was simple yet clean and the staff were very helpful and kind. The pros: location - you're just a block away from all the main Avalon shops, mini-golf and restaurants. Also, there was a rooftop lounge with beautiful views and a bbq set up so you could lounge with friends after the sun went down or sunbathe to a crisp if you wanted to avoid beach crowds. The cons: It's a little outdated and the bed was so creaky, I had to try to not move once I was on it. The wifi is weak and the television is an internet tv, so often there was not enough signal to watch anything. But, why do you want to watch tv when you're in Catalina anyway? Overall, it's a great little place without too hefty a price tag.

The staff was so helpful! They went above and beyond to help my husband with his duty in getting snacks and drinks for the paddlers. Shout out to Amber, Michael, and Nicole in assisting him with shopping and transporting the goodies from Vons to the pier. We so appreciate you and will definitely be back as our go-to place to stay while in Catalina.

The Manager, Michael, was an absolute joy. He gave me a ton of advice on where to eat, shop and visit. The location was terrific. Minutes to the port. Shops, restaurants and grocery were steps away. The beach, the pier and many sites were also minutes walk. Couldn't have asked for a better spot.

The hotel staff, Amber and Michael, were very personable and accommodating. We arrived several hours before check-in time and were able to store our bags until our room was ready. A short time later, Michael texted us to let us know our room was ready early. Check out time was several hours before our book departed, but Amber stored our bags, so be could enjoy our last day on the island. we would definitely stay at the Seacrest Inn next time we visit Catalina.

Was fine, stayed for 3 nights. First night there was a water leak from the ceiling. From the bath tub from the floor above being over filled, wasn’t a major leak just a consistent drip. Called the number and the guy came right away but was told they didn’t have another room to move us too so he threw a towel down and said that’s all he could do for now…. The water stopped after a bit but was still a little irritating. Other than that it was fine. Wondered if they would give us a discount or something for the inconvenience but nothing was offered….not a big deal. Close to town, staff was super friendly, and room was super clean. A little outdated but clean. Also while upon checking in was given a tour of the room and amenities by Amber, she was amazing! That being said I would more than likely stay there again.

We had a great time at Seacrest inn. Michael was very accommodating and the staff was prompt in helping us resolve a blown fuse late one night. The room was nice and came with a big bathtub as well. The location was perfect and we would love to come back again!

It was walking distance to most restaurants and souvenir shops. The view at night or day was spectacular from the terrace. It was magical….. would definitely go back 😊
