The location of the hotel is great for walking to all the sites. The walls are a bit thin in the rooms but the rooms are very clean and the staff does a great job. The major complaint about the hotel is the elevator, an old phone booth has just as much room so trying to get bags to the room is an adventure. Great location overall

Location was a pleasant surprise. Hotel front entrance opens to a large square, that is home to a fun open air market every morning. Like many older buildings in Italy, the elevator is smaller than tiny, so expect to take multiple trips up if you have more than a party of two or brought more than one piece of luggage. Don't expect any hotel staff to be present to help you with your bags, which you'll need to lug up or down a few steps before and after the elevator ride. Room was large and clean. Industrial theme furnishings, which was actually kinda cool!

You can’t beat this location! Overlooking Campo di Fiori market! Night life is great with restaurants just below you. If you have any physical restrictions the 80 stairs to the top might be challenging! There is an elevator but it’s very tiny… we preferred taking the stairs. But in great area and location to everything.

Very nice hotel right on Campo De’ Fiori. Great air conditioning, comfortable beds , nice bathroom. There is even an elevator for reaching the top floor. As others have mentioned, it’s a little hard to notice for the first time because it’s wedged in between two restaurants.

Amazing stay at Mama’s Home. Fantastic location in the square at Campo di fiori, perfect for exploring the city sights and Trastevere neighbourhood. The owners were really nice and accommodating, organising transfers and a baby cot too. Room was lovely, nice and spacious. Had a Nespresso machine, mini fridge and large toilet and shower. Breakfast was included in a bar/restaurant next door too, which was a great surprise addition as it wasn’t mentioned in the room description. Would highly recommend this place.

A fantastic place within walking distance from everything. Great restaurants close by and very nice and friendly staff. As other ha appointed out, there was 76 steps to our room so if you don’t like a bit of a workout at the end of your day you need to use the tiny elevator. Which is fun. If you’re not scared of small compartments. The breakfast is at the pub downstairs and it’s a continental version with coffee, fresh juice and a sweet bun. Very easy to communicate with staff whenever and more than anything - it’s the best location in Rome.

Quirky property, listed as a hotel, however it is not what we expected at all, it’s an old building accessed via a long corridor between two restaurants. The room we had was large and had usual hotel amenities provided. The rooms are accessed by using a tiny elevator that can hold one person plus one suitcase, or two slim people at a time. Alternatively you can use the steep stone steps to access the rooms. You then deal with the hotel staff via WhatsApp. The location was great for us and we walked to many attractions with ease.

After spending hours deliberating which hotel to stay in for a long weekend with my wife, I eventually settled on Mama’s Home as it appeared to be in walking distance of the main sites and met my criteria of being a nice hotel but not blowing the budget as I knew we’d spend very little time in the hotel. All I can say is what a location! Right on the square, full of amazing restaurants/bars with a daily market. The hotel itself is more like an aparthotel - as there are no facilities. Very friendly receptionist welcomed us on arrival day, checking via WhatsApp to see when we would arrive. Due to the age of building it has the world’s smallest lift. (2 people get to know each other very well indeed as you have to coordinate entering , shutting folding doors , pressing button and the reversing procedure to get out! Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door. Very friendly staff there as well. Recommend the ‘healthy’ breakfast and also the ‘American’ (which is really a lovely cooked breakfast full of Italian herbs - so should be renamed in my view as much nicer that described) I think they only have 5 rooms, so get in quick!! Our room was in top floor overlooking the square , so we could open the window and just watch the gentle hubbub at the end of busy day. Would recommend staying , just beware the lift feels as ancient as the main tourist sites!!

The location is perfect, walkable to most of the tourist sites. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room is decent size, modern, comfortable bed and very clean. I will definitely return for future travel to Rome.

Great location. The hotel was clean with the exception of the floor. Maybe that is why sleepers are given….The floor was pretty dirty. My baby’s feet were dark after walking on the floor for a little. The disappointment was that our hotel wasn’t ready even after arriving an hour late that check in time. Being exhausted from the long train ride with kids, would have been nice to relax a bit before heading out to walk again.

We had a wonderful stay at Mama's Home Rome. Livia was amazing! She was very helpful, professional, and accommodating. Me and my husband loved the ambience of the room. The location is very convenient as it's very walkable to all of the attractions. House keeping does a great job cleaning the room on a daily basis, restocking toiletries, and water! Highly recommend!

Mama's Home Rome is a very good location. Our room was very spacious for central Rome. They hotel states soundproof rooms, and while you can't hear the outside streets, the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors. Our only issue with the bathrooms is the shower would not drain on occasion, and the privacy is with a curtain not a door. Great hotel for location, cleanliness and convenience.

It is an old building that has been restored. However, due to the type of the constrictiom they could not do much about installing a decent size elevator. It is enough for 1 person with a couple bags. So need to use the stairs a lot. Besides that the rooms are new and comfortable. Livia from the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The location is excellent at Campo di Fiore. My room faced the piazza and we could see in the morning, the people putting up their tents for the farmer's market and at night artists singing. There are fine restaurants all around the plaza, even a movie theather. Great location and great hotel option.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was in a convenient and fun location (Campo de Fiori) and it was very easy to access. Andrea was very helpful. He handed us our keys after we checked in and showed us the room. He also showed us how to get everywhere on the map they provided. Only issues: the AC was unfortunately not working, there is low lighting in the room, no counter space or many racks for towels in the bathroom, and our particular room (Marzio) didn’t have a view of the piazza. However, Enrica was very responsive and they have a cleaning service every day. The water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water, shower gel/ shampoo/ conditioner/ lotion/ slippers/ bar soap all provided and replenished. The bed was huge and there were plenty of places to put our clothes and bags. The bathroom had separate areas for the sink and for the toilet, bidet, shower. A huge perk: they have a partnership with the restaurant downstairs and to the right. They provide a free breakfast each day for each guest which includes: a croissant of your choosing, fresh (the best!!!) orange juice, and a coffee or cappuccino. You can also choose from the other three breakfasts at a discounted price (only 7, 7, or 10 euros, respectively). Overall, the place was clean and comfortable, the service was great, and the location was very safe and quite close to all the major tourist attractions/ must-sees. I would stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back!

The only complaint that I have about this place is that it was very, very noisy at night "hence- busy location". The windows provide good noise control, however, for some reason the people in the room directly above me were continually moving furniture every night!! It was hard to fall asleep. But other than that, super cleanly, very friendly, and great spot in Rome.

Spacious room however I booked a different room. The one we received was an alleged “upgrade”, however the decor and esthetics were lacking. The walls were scratched up and it felt like a bunker. Except the window. The window was excellent!!

Ett perfekt litet hotel på bästa platsen i Rom där du har nära till allt. Finns många bra restauranger i området. Allt var perfekt på hotellet, det ända som man eventuellt kan säga som negativt var att det är lite lyhört och man hör när grannen hostar.

Would rate this hotel higher but the elevator is smaller than an airplane bathroom and it is a bit of a maze. The bathrooms are clean and new but lack privacy. Location is great, the AC is fantastic as is the staff and the rooms are clean and modern

It’s near a busy square with lots of restaurants and things to do. The rooms are spacious and modern. The only two complaints is the bathroom door in our room had two beds and a glass door to the bathroom so it didn’t feel private. Also there was an air conditioning unit near our bed and the blue light on the power button was very bright and it interfered with my sleep.

The only two complaints is the bathroom door in our room had two beds and a glass door to the bathroom so it didn’t feel private. Location was a pleasant surprise. Hotel front entrance opens to a large square, that is home to a fun open air market every morning. Like many older buildings in Italy, the elevator is smaller than tiny, so expect to take multiple trips up if you have more than a party of two or brought more than one piece of luggage. Don't expect any hotel staff to be present to help you with your bags, which you'll need to lug up or down a few steps before and after the elevator ride. Room was large and clean. Industrial theme furnishings, which was actually kinda cool!

The location was great - central and almost equidistant to the Vatican and the Colosseum. The piazza where it is located is vibrant and trouristy with restaurants open until 2 am. What could improve is their service - more attention and care had to be there toward their guests. They should not promise what they could not provide. They promised me two tours on a single day (Vatican & Colosseum), which ultimately were sold out, even when I was ready to pay from the outset. This led me to me having to spend hours finding those tours myself, thus delaying the process. This is a disadvantage when you are pressed on time. The good thing: I ended up getting better deals on my own. They also promised me a ride back to the airport using a third-party company without detailing anything on how the drivef would me or vice versa. I missed them and this put me in a temporary stres, though again, I ended up getting a better deal myself. Moral of the story - do not depend on anything from this place other than simply your stay. You must know that it is a guesthouse and not a full-fledged hotel, meaning there is no 24-7 reception and no provision for breakfast...two big disadvantages on a vacation trip. If you can find a regular hotel closeby, I would recommend that over this place. Their room rates are too high for the service and value, in my opinion. Other than that, the staff were fine. Enrica was a bit hard to communcate with, Livia was very nice, Flor was friendly and great.

Room was nice and clean. If you are expecting to get some rest after being tired from all the sightseeing.. forget it. The hussle and bussle sound is ok. It is expected and not bothersome. The constant moving and banging of furniture all day and all night up until 1 am for our entire stay was NOT ACCEPTABLE. I asked for assistance.. switch rooms or maybe some earplugs and it just fell on deaf ears. I communicated with whatsapp and you know when your text has been seen. It was seen and was ignored. I was blamed for not contacting other people and they said the number I used doesn't work all the time but the text was seen!!!!! I was just ignored. The first night we were told it was because guests where busy packing and it shouldn't happen again. It happened again and again the rest of the stay. Great hotel in a great location. Super friendly staff made check in really easy and they arranged a transfer for us back to the airport. The room was great and very clean and everything is within walking distance. We would stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

We had a wonderful stay at Mama's Home Rome. Livia was amazing! She was very helpful, professional, and accommodating. Me and my husband loved the ambience of the room. The location is very convenient as it's very walkable to all of the attractions. House keeping does a great job cleaning the room on a daily basis, restocking toiletries, and water! Highly recommend!

Das Hotel besticht durch seine zentrale Lage am Campo di Fiori und ist Teil eines Wohngebäudes! Hier erlebt man römisches Leben pur mit ruhigen Zimmern und einem vorgelagerten Restaurant, das zu jeder Tageszeit für eine gute Versorgung mit sehr freundlichem Personal sorgt! Auch die Betreuung im Hotel war sehr gut und hilfsbereit! Ich komme wieder, wenn ich mitten drin sein möchte! 👍🙏

Great place near everything! First of all let me start by saying that if you are looking for a quiet place in Rome. This is not the place! There is a daily market that starts around 6am to set up for the day. At night the restaurant keep the place lively and busy until 2am. If you like a vibrant place full of energy, and close to everything walking distance. Then this is the place for you. As it was for me and my family. From the momemt you check in youre greeted by Livia who's customer service is second to none. We arrived early and she was able to accommodate. A complimentary bottle of prosseco waiting in the fridge. Complimentary water daily. The cleanliness of the property and room was famtastic. I would return and book the palce again.

Amazing stay at Mama’s Home. Fantastic location in the square at Campo di fiori, perfect for exploring the city sights and Trastevere neighbourhood. The owners were really nice and accommodating, organising transfers and a baby cot too. Room was lovely, nice and spacious. Had a Nespresso machine, mini fridge and large toilet and shower. Breakfast was included in a bar/restaurant next door too, which was a great surprise addition as it wasn’t mentioned in the room description. Would highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was in a convenient and fun location (Campo de Fiori) and it was very easy to access. Andrea was very helpful. He handed us our keys after we checked in and showed us the room. He also showed us how to get everywhere on the map they provided. Only issues: the AC was unfortunately not working, there is low lighting in the room, no counter space or many racks for towels in the bathroom, and our particular room (Marzio) didn’t have a view of the piazza. However, Enrica was very responsive and they have a cleaning service every day. The water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water, shower gel/ shampoo/ conditioner/ lotion/ slippers/ bar soap all provided and replenished. The bed was huge and there were plenty of places to put our clothes and bags. The bathroom had separate areas for the sink and for the toilet, bidet, shower. A huge perk: they have a partnership with the restaurant downstairs and to the right. They provide a free breakfast each day for each guest which includes: a croissant of your choosing, fresh (the best!!!) orange juice, and a coffee or cappuccino. You can also choose from the other three breakfasts at a discounted price (only 7, 7, or 10 euros, respectively). Overall, the place was clean and comfortable, the service was great, and the location was very safe and quite close to all the major tourist attractions/ must-sees. I would stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back!

As other ha appointed out, there was 76 steps to our room so if you don’t like a bit of a workout at the end of your day you need to use the tiny elevator. Which is fun. If you’re not scared of small compartments. The breakfast is at the pub downstairs and it’s a continental version with coffee, fresh juice and a sweet bun. Very easy to communicate with staff whenever and more than anything - it’s the best location in Rome.

Big rooms for Rome standards. Tastefull style in the rooms. Good amenities. Staff was helpfull. very well located. I would say skip the breakfast: it is provided in the restaurant next to the property but really is not on par with the rest of the experience, I would advise on skipping it.

Quirky property, listed as a hotel, however it is not what we expected at all, it’s an old building accessed via a long corridor between two restaurants. The room we had was large and had usual hotel amenities provided. The rooms are accessed by using a tiny elevator that can hold one person plus one suitcase, or two slim people at a time. Alternatively you can use the steep stone steps to access the rooms. You then deal with the hotel staff via WhatsApp. The location was great for us and we walked to many attractions with ease.

Estivemos no Mama's Home Rome em maio de 2025. A localização é perfeita para uma visita turística a Roma. Simplesmente perto de tudo. Apesar de ficar no Campo de Fiori e de ter lido reviews sobre barulho, não foi isso que vi em nossa estada. O hotel possui janelas duplas com proteção acústica. É um prédio antigo, reformado, com elevador só para as bagagens. Os quartos são ótimos. A recepção não funciona 24h mas tem contato telefônico se necessário. Café Nespresso e água inclusos na diária. Não há café da manhã no hotel, mas é servido um café romano no bar na entrada do hotel (Bar Gigante), com café da sua escolha (inclui o capuccino), um suco de laranja e um cornetto (croisant). Nos receberam de forma muito amável em nosso aniversário de casamento. Lívia, a brasileira da equipe, em especial, foi muito simpática e sempre útil. Volteremos.

Läget väldigt bra. Precis vid blomstermarknaden. Underbart rum. Hade en juniorsvit, med två stora rum med stor dubbelsäng i varje rum. Fint badrum, fri mini bar med vatten, läsk o en flaska cava. The Bed was comfortable, The Air Conditioning worked great, and the location was terrific. We did not like The glass wall/ door to the bathroom as there was No privacy , especially if traveling with kids or friends. It was right next to the exterior door, and we saw no way to lock the exterior door, so housekeeping could potentially walk in on you showering. Otherwise room was comfy.

We loved to stay at Mama's Home. The location is incredible, right on the top of Campo de' Fiori. Central location, clean, beautiful, cool room with a nice modern touch. The surrounding restaurants are amazing and perfect for a couple short Dolce Vita vacation. You can reach any location in Roma within minutes. Lydia was very helpful, caring and nice to us. Definitely we will be back at our next occasion in Rome
