Free coffee would be nice for guest and not the one in the room.

This was not our first stay at Catalonia Berlin Mitte, and overall we really like the hotel. The rooms are spacious, pleasant and practical, the lobby is very nice, and the location is convenient. The main weak point, however, is the reception service. We ordered a Wolt delivery to be left at reception, as we routinely do when travelling. Reception refused to accept the order or inform us of its arrival, although a delivery the previous evening had been handled without any problem. Because reception refused to accept the order or inform us of its arrival, the courier was left waiting and repeatedly called me while I was on a conference call. When I eventually came downstairs, the courier was frustrated by the situation and became very unpleasant towards me. Two reception staff were present but did nothing to assist or de-escalate the situation. The entire incident could easily have been avoided had the delivery been handled more competently at reception. Reception could also be more attentive in general and improve their German. There was also a complete lack of proactive guest assistance with luggage when arriving or leaving. A smaller criticism concerns breakfast: the only option is the full €24 buffet, with no possibility of simply having a coffee and croissant or ordering something small separately. Overall, we still like the hotel, but reception clearly needs improvement.
