Wow! We slept in 3 different places in Lisbon as part of a long trip, and this is the best! The place is very clean, and it's homey! Service and attitude we haven't seen before! It has an excellent location and one of the best breakfasts. Only downside is the stairs, but it's totally worth it

We had an amazing time. The staff are fantastic, what great service. The property is well located, close to everything. The breakfast was very good, pool area a welcome break from a hot day touring. Will stay there again when we come back to Lisbon Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed here the first week of June 2025 and really enjoyed the proximity to several local sights, restaurants and shops. The pool was chilly but refreshing after long days in the sun. Breakfast was delicious and service was impeccable. Special shoutout to Jess who was incredibly helpful during our stay. The only (slight) drawback was that the rooms aren't all that sound proof and because many folks choose to have breakfast in the courtyard, you're guaranteed to be woken up by 8am.

Very cozy and super charming hotel with personalized service. You immediately feel at home by the welcome drink (very nice port wine), the pastries and chocolates when leaving the hotel. It's the little things that make it absolutely wonderful! The rooms are big enough and the Rituals products are nice to use as well. The breakfast is ample and plenty of variety to choose from. The terrace with pool is really a plus to take a break from your day. That makes the hotel really unique. The location could not be better. Less than 10 minutes walk to the center with plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. We highly recommend this hotel and will continue to share it with our friends and family! Hopefully until next time because we enjoyed it immensely!

This hotel is a hidden gem. It is in an unexpected location up a steep and narrow street (which is most streets in Lisbon). The location was perfect for exploring the city and right on the tram 28E line -the classic tram around the city. We were in room 13 which overlooked the pool and garden. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The buffet breakfast was lovely and included pastries eggs bacon meats cheeses fresh fruit 4 different juices coffee tea and specialty coffee on request. The staff were top notch. So helpful with recommendations directions and when we needed to contact our airline they called and spoke to them for us given that we do not speak Portuguese at all. We highly recommend this hotel.

Sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal. Das Hotel ist sehr charmant- es ist allerdings ein Altbau mit allen Nebeneffekten- kein Lift. Man hört die Toilettenspülung vom Nachbarn… das Rohr gurgelt wirklich laut. Gelegentlich wird das Wasser nicht warm.. für mich kein grosses Ding, da der Rest sehr viel wett macht. Ich kann es trotzdem wirklich empfehlen!

This was the best hotel me and my boyfriend have ever stayed in. The service was beyond anything we could have ever wanted or expected, from the welcome drink by the pool, to hand written notes / pastries / port each day. All the staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The hotel itself was a serene, beautiful and peaceful place tucked away in the most perfect location to walk everywhere we needed. Would definitely stay here again and again!

Lovely small hotel - spotlessly clean throughout and beautifully presented. The position means it is easy to reach lots of key areas and/or catch local transport. The staff are all friendly and very helpful and seem to genuinely enjoy working at Charming House. Breakfast is excellent, lots of freshly prepared choices and the hot option is kept topped up rather than a tray cooked at the start and left throughout. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Uns hat dieses kleine Hotel sehr gut gefallen! Das Zimmer zur Straße war klein aber völlig ok, da man eh nur zum schlafen dort ist! Betten war sehr bequem und alles war super sauber! Das Personal alle sehr freundlich! Das Frühstück war wahnsinnig gut für so ein kleines Hotel! Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Das einzige was wir schade fanden, dass es das Frühstück erst ab 8.00 uhr gab! Gerade wenn man die Stadt erkunden möchte und früh los will! Aber sonst war alles 1a.... wir kommen gerne wieder !

We had a lovely time in Lisbon and are very glad that we chose to stay at this lovely hotel. All of the staff were very welcoming & helpful and made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless and a great place to return too after a day exploring in the heat. Breakfast was included and had a great selection to choose from. The staff really do deserve a lot of praise as they clearly take pride in ensuring guests are very well looked after

We loved this small charming hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Excellent service.The breakfast was delicious. We had a lovely top floor room with a balcony and view over the rooftops. The air con was very effective at keeping the room cool in the Lisbon heat. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.

We had a fabulous stay here, the staff work incredibly hard to ensure you have a high standard experience. We had a lovely room with lovely air conditioning and a fantastic shower. Breakfast was gorgeous with something for all. Amazing coffee too. Our room was cleaned every day. Thank you charming house we will definitely be back. Ps we were celebrating a special birthday which was recognised with Prosecco and chocolate cake surprise and a personal note of congratulations - a lovely personal gesture which made us feel very special, thank you charming house 😍

The service at Dear Lisbon is above and beyond - the staff really want you to feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent, wine was very good, and the beds were comfortable. The only drawback is the rooms are quite small and there is little noise insulation. Earplugs helped with the noise and otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

The hotel is indeed charming as it's name. The location is good close to Barrio Alto, Chiado and Baixa Bica areas. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is lovely. The only con (for me its a big one) is that the walls between the rooms are paper thin and the floors are extremely squeaky so every movement is heard from neighbouring rooms and from your own room. If you get up for the toilet at night you are sure to wake your partner up :/

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Lage ist top es sind sehr viele schöne Restaurants direkt im die Ecke und die Tram28 hält eine Straße vom Hotel entfernt. Unser Zimmer war nur etwas hellhörig aber auf dem Flur war auch eine größer laute Truppe nachts unterwegs. Das Zimmer war klein aber gemütlich und man hat alles was man braucht.
Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Lage ist top es sind sehr viele schöne Restaurants direkt im die Ecke und die Tram28 hält eine Straße vom Hotel entfernt. We loved our stay. The bed was very comfortable, the staff was excellent (especially Roberta!); the breakfast and breakfast room were beyond expectations, beautiful hotel in general. Great location. You can't hear noise from other rooms but the hallway traffic in the morning is audible.

Pros: - It was a charming/quaint hotel - Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful - Free breakfast was a plus - They did let us check in a little early. They also stored our bags when we first got there Cons: - WiFi didn’t work in our room and half of the time in the common area - We were on the ground floor (room 20) and you could hear every sound above us. We had to sleep with AirPods in & white noise to block the heavy foot steps and banging. It was very inconvenient when being jet lagged and needing sleep. This is why we’re giving it 4-stars - The location was a little out of the way from everything. I wish we were 10 mins closer. We love walking but the hills made this hotel feel inconveniently located Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Great service, very helpful, attentive and friendly, eager to serve. Nice place! Only negative was sound insulation. Quiet away from street noise which was good but floors and stairs creak so loudly you hear everyone coming and going including late night.

Nous devions quitter tôt pour l’aéroport, on nous a organisé un transport sécuritaire et efficace de même qu’une petite collation matinale (sandwich et jus). Au déjeuner tous les employés s’assuraient qu’il ne manque de rien. La piscine est sans contre dit un atout! Nous vous suggérons fortement ce magnifique établissement!

Sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal. Das Hotel ist sehr charmant- es ist allerdings ein Altbau mit allen Nebeneffekten- kein Lift. Man hört die Toilettenspülung vom Nachbarn… das Rohr gurgelt wirklich laut. Gelegentlich wird das Wasser nicht warm.. für mich kein grosses Ding, da der Rest sehr viel wett macht. Ich kann es trotzdem wirklich empfehlen!

Clean rooms and close to city center. Can be challenging to climb for someone with mobility needs because the hotel entrance is on a steep hill incline. I absolutely loved my stay here at the Charming House. The staff was so amazing and offered me plenty of options for activities. The hotel itself is very welcoming and lives up to its namesake. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Lisbon!

We had a lovely time in Lisbon and are very glad that we chose to stay at this lovely hotel. All of the staff were very welcoming & helpful and made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless and a great place to return too after a day exploring in the heat. Breakfast was included and had a great selection to choose from. The staff really do deserve a lot of praise as they clearly take pride in ensuring guests are very well looked after

Our stay at Dear Lisbon Charming House could not have been better. The hotel itself is beautiful, rooms and communal areas are just lovely to spend time in. The location is excellent, we were able to walk to so many attractions and restaurants - we could have spent our whole stay just enjoying the local neighbourhood without venturing further. The staff were also amazing and attentive - Miguel who welcomed us on our first evening made us feel at home straight away. There are also lots of extra touches that make guests feel important - arranging our airport transfers (on request) was a big help, and we REALLY enjoyed the pasteis de nata waiting for us in our room on arrival! We'll definitely be back and will be recommending to everyone else in the meantime.

The service was beyond anything we could have ever wanted or expected, from the welcome drink by the pool, to hand written notes / pastries / port each day. All the staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The hotel itself was a serene, beautiful and peaceful place tucked away in the most perfect location to walk everywhere we needed. Would definitely stay here again and again!

We found this B&B for our 2-day layover visit to Lisbon, and we would not hesitate to book it for a future stay. Very close to restaurants, Time Out Market, and the Tram 28 stop. Tram stop to Belém is also a short walk away. Beautiful property!

Pros: - It was a charming/quaint hotel - Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful - Free breakfast was a plus - They did let us check in a little early. They also stored our bags when we first got there Cons: - WiFi didn’t work in our room and half of the time in the common area - We were on the ground floor (room 20) and you could hear every sound above us. We had to sleep with AirPods in & white noise to block the heavy foot steps and banging. It was very inconvenient when being jet lagged and needing sleep. This is why we’re giving it 4-stars - The location was a little out of the way from everything. I wish we were 10 mins closer. We love walking but the hills made this hotel feel inconveniently located Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Lovely small hotel - spotlessly clean throughout and beautifully presented. The position means it is easy to reach lots of key areas and/or catch local transport. The staff are all friendly and very helpful and seem to genuinely enjoy working at Charming House. Breakfast is excellent, lots of freshly prepared choices and the hot option is kept topped up rather than a tray cooked at the start and left throughout. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Very cozy and super charming hotel with personalized service. You immediately feel at home by the welcome drink (very nice port wine), the pastries and chocolates when leaving the hotel. It's the little things that make it absolutely wonderful! The rooms are big enough and the Rituals products are nice to use as well. The breakfast is ample and plenty of variety to choose from. The terrace with pool is really a plus to take a break from your day. That makes the hotel really unique. The location could not be better. Less than 10 minutes walk to the center with plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. We highly recommend this hotel and will continue to share it with our friends and family! Hopefully until next time because we enjoyed it immensely!

We loved this small charming hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Excellent service.The breakfast was delicious. We had a lovely top floor room with a balcony and view over the rooftops. The air con was very effective at keeping the room cool in the Lisbon heat. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Charming is the right word for this place, it is really lovely. We stayed for one night in July 2026. The front desk manager (owner?) was incredibly professional and helpful and remembered who we were and was extremely responsive to all our requests. The guesthouse is off of a narrow steep street that cars often won't go on, so be prepared to walk a little. The rooms are compact but we had a queen size bed rather than two twins pushed together, which is fairly common there. The breakfast was quite a spread and very good. Be aware the pool is small (like 6 people tops) and only two chaise lounges but we enjoyed spending time there. Good water pressure and shampoo/soaps provided. Would definitely stay again.
