Schmidt's Creek Hotel

We drove in late for one night stay. The are not lying about the parking lot being on a hill so be prepared for that. Only issue we had was at check in it was 8 pm and the front desk was know where to be seen but they have a ring doorbell camera you hit in the lobby. It still took 5 min to come back from break. The rooms are very clean so that was nice. We were put into the newer building in the back. The next morning at checking there was no breakfast available like there as said but that was ok we found a great place up the street. I would stay here again for a short stay but not for a longer stay.

We had a good experience at this hotel. Staff friendly. Nice outdoor pool. Bed comfortable. Close to many food options. Very affordable.

Parking lot sucks, not much they can do about the hills. Check in was good. Polite staff. Only complaints are too much chlorine in the pool and it was cloudy, couldnt see my feet. My fridge was broken and the freezer leaked all over and i had to clean that up & the beds were too hard for me personally. But it was clean quiet (besides my loud kids) and the vibes were nice! Will definitely stay here again!

Filthy pool and room. Dirt flowed off the feet from walking on the floor before showering. Mildew in shower. Beach looked better than the pool and had test numbers. The pool wasnt worth the risk. Breakfast on the weekends only and it wasn't worth it. Room looked nice. But the price was more than the accommodation. $60 room at best.

Hotel and property was clean. The pool was clear and clean and felt safe to stay in.

The extra boat parking was a plus for us so that we could charge our batteries on our fishing rigs.

The room was very dated. I am certain it did not match the pictures when I booked it. They could be in the middle of remodeling. We were in the back building & it smelled very musty when I walked in the door. The bed was ok, comfy pillows. There was a fridge but no microwave. No breakfast served.

Room was very clean and well kept up. Staff was helpful and friendly. Conveniently located by attractions.

Plus: Good hotel, comfortable bed, quiet place (in November), good price. Minus: There was a single cockroach in our room.

My crew stayed one night and had bug bites all over them. They left and I had to book another hotel for the rest of their stay for that jobsite.

Clean room , staff very honest. My husband left his credit card in the room after check out. Cleaning people found it and called him. Thank you! Will stay there again.

The property was kept very nice and clean. The staff was extremely nice and assisted in all ways of making sure we were comfortable. We will return.

Very friendly staff, clean room. Beds very firm which caused some back pain. Also slight scent of mold possibly from the air conditioner- gave 2 of 3 of us breathing issues after spending the night there.

It was a good stay. I needed something close to the hospital due to my husband having emergency surgery. When I checked in, I did have a small issue getting in my room with the key card, but I was promptly helped by the lady that checked me in. She was very nice and attentive to my needs. The updated room was nice. The bathroom was clean and nice. The shower and tub were awesome!! Improvements should be a microwave and a snack breakfast.

Affordable, comfortable beds and QUIET!

Walls thin so sounds travel easily. Could have used more than 2 pillows.

The room smelled like old cigarettes, when I left so did my clothing. The floor and bathroom were clean-ish, but not clean. I didn't have access to the other building which had amenities I needed, the internet never worked, luckily my hotspot did, and when I was checked in keys were set for the wrong amount of days so I was locked out on day two and had to have them reset. Just one thing after another.

My room seemed very clean but it had a weird smell. Also the fan on the air conditioner had a vibration or something that made it hard to fall asleep.

Just stayed one night. The room was nice and quiet. The only issue that I had was the T.V. would freeze up and restart.

The staff was very helpful and the rooms were very clean first time staying here since the new owners took over will be using this hotel again.

I found this on Expedia and their ratings were excellent. Checking in was a breeze and we were given 2 keys for each room within having to ask. It was very clean, very comfortable, and very enjoyable. Thank you!

The staff is very friendly and helpful check in went seamlessly I had 3 rooms reserved. The rooms were very clean with nice beds linens and towels. I would definitely stay here again

First, my key cards deactivated while I was outside after midnight. All the lights were out in the office. I tried the walking into the office but the door was locked. I knocked on the door a couple times but no answer. The second complaint I have is; my daughter found a head lice on her pillow the day of our arrival and the next day (our departure date) she pulled a lice bug out of her hair. When we got home the night of our departure, I found a lice bug in my hair. My third complaint has to do with dirty/stained sheets that were on 1 of the 4 beds we had during our stay. The sheets had dark brown/reddish stains ground into them. I wet a washcloth and scrubbed the stains; some of them came out and some did not. I did bring all these complaints up to the front desk worker and they gave me bew sheets for me to put on, they can't be sure we didn't bring the lice with us to the hotel, and lastly the attendant told me next time i stay if my card get deactivated then just call the hotel because they have night crew on grounds for incidents just like this. I did tell her that I was locked out because the keys deactivated and I did not have my phone on me to call the office. After that comment the attendant just reiterated that next time i should just call the number on the back of the key. As you can tell the hotel needs alot of upgrades to its facilities and better staff in every department of this hotel.

Recently had a 2 night stay and even after reading reviews was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable facility was. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great stay for the price and would definitely book again if in area.

The check-in was so very easy and staff were friendly and courteous. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower had very good pressure. The stay was awesome.

We had a pleasant experience and would definitely stay again. When we reported an issue, it was resolved immediately and with a smile. Clean, safe, and the staff were wonderful!

The hotel was very nice. Only hiccup was one of our two rooms was not ready by the 3 pm check in time. We had to wait almost an hr for it to be cleaned and available to us. We did let the front desk know it was not clean, but did not complain further. I do believe had we, we would have been compensated somehow as the front desk staff was friendly and professional. I would still go back to this hotel again and again. Also liked that there were no pets and smoking was limited to a specific location, not in any rooms. Highly recommend! Great location, great price, nice rooms, clean pool and friendly staff.

The location is perfect and the hotel was clean, but I found the reception's behavior unprofessional during check-in. The receptionist gave us the wrong entrance card, and we had to return to the reception three times to get the correct one, walking all the way from the end of another building. Instead of apologizing, she blamed us for the mistake.

We were double charged for our room. After calling twice and being promised a credit, it never happened. We finally had to file a dispute on our credit card. The hotel basically stole our money and didn’t care to pay us back.

Looks a little shady from the road, however, it is very clean and well kept. We stayed in the hotel part adjacent to the motel part. It was quiet and private. Pool was clean and the pool area was well kept. For the price, this can’t be beat!

We have stayed here a few times while dropping off and picking out daughter from camp. It’s just one night at a time but it has always been a very nice experience. The staff is so kind and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is convenient. The pool looks great but we haven’t been able to enjoy that for ourselves. Highly recommend and will stay here again.

Centrally located

Hotel was centrally located, close to gas stations and a couple of fast food options. Great pressure in the shower and plenty of hot, soft water. Great value for a few days stay. If exiting by the lower exit/entrance, be aware a lot of vehicles have scraped the pavement.

Walking distance to convince store, bar&grill, restaurant.

Nice place to stay and go to a show at Ozark Amphitheatre. Make sure to take the Glorified Shuttle to the show. Shout-out to our driver Matt!!!

We enjoyed a bright clean room and bathroom in our unit on the second floor. Close to 54 and business 54 too.

Schmidt's Creek with Troy and Becky was a pleasant stay. I also am very pleased with how close the hotel was to the highway and many other restaurants/amenities within Osage Beach

They don't have a breakfast, only microwave is in the breakfast room and you have to ask to use it.

On Expedia it showed free breakfast but they only offer breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays during peak season. The room was very clean and the staff was very kind.

There was a fridge, coffee maker, wifi and ice machine available. The grab and go breakfast is only on the weekends and there was no pool to my knowledge. The TV channels were acceptable and the room was clean. My wife and daughters said the owner was friendly. The beds were springy and uncomfortable. We had a non-supportive pillow per person. The rate was good for what was offered. We were given a room in the newer building in the back, but would have actually preferred the older building where you could park in front of your room door. Except for the pillows and mattress, this place met our needs. The high point is the cleanliness of the room. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Quaint place . But the continental breakfast is served only on the weekends not on weekdays but what if you stay a weekend until a weekday you don’t have the limited options that they put out.

The price for a one night stay was way too high for what I thought of as a mediocre hotel. The place is dated and the continental breakfast should’ve just been called snacks. Very limited options and pretty much nothing if you have dietary restrictions. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. Probably won’t stay here again though.

The Orbitz information on this property said breakfast was included. We didn't check any further and only found out when we went for breakfast that it's only served on weekends. If you follow the link the to the property's site, it clearly states that breakfast is only on weekends. The Orbitz site should have been more specific.

Place is in good location and good rate. However, it was not disclosed that breakfast is only available during the weekend.

Check in was easy, quiet, comfortable stay. Only negatives was breakfast not offered during the week and could use updated in rooms.

Great place to stay. Nice facility, outdoor pool was great, room was spacious and clean. Close by the lake. The only complaint is that breakfast is only on the weekend.
