Santai is a beautiful place to stay while in Amed. The staff is super friendly and kind, they really add to the experience. The pool was so lovely, the units themselves too. The good was excellent at the hotel restaurant and we loved the access to the water.

Staff were wonderful. Charming, old style hotel. Beautiful grounds and perfectly situated. Rooms very tired despite the rustic charm and bathrooms need a desperate clean. Sink and shower didn’t drain. Mosquitos immensely bad and bed nets full of holes. Understandable that mosquitos are abundant but other hotels seem to manage. Still, grateful for a quiet, pleasant stay and the generous, kind staff.

Rooms closer to the pool and ocean are the best. Others are subject to road noise during the day. Food in the restaurant is delicious.

Our room was located at the back of the property, close to the road. There was a lot of traffic noise at night and then early morning, and while outside the control of the hotel, there was road work construction during the day which meant relaxing in the room wasn’t possible. I feel that it should be communicated when booking at the sea view cottage. The room was clean and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.
