This hotel is on the top floors of an old/classic building. Rooms were remodeled with a touch of the old still showing through in a good way. Bedding was comfortable. We were left a small snack and fresh croissants in the morning. Air conditioning was perfect. The elevator/lift is old and only went to the floor under us. This hotel was within walking distance of the Trevi fountain, the Pantheon, the Spanish steps, Piazza Navona and many other sites in Rome. The hotel was able to arrange transportation for us from the airport to the hotel for a reasonable price. The driver was on time and friendly. However, he did not have change for the cash we brought so he got a big tip. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Rome.

We arrived in the evening on a warm day. The room is in the uppest floor right below the roof so it was really hot and humid in it. The AC was good and could cool it down. But every evening we need to use the AC again, luckily the night even with closed windows was ok. The room itself was big and ok, the toilet a little small. It’s not a usual hotel, more a flat with 7 rooms with a reception. The WiFi connection was very good. There was no German Television. The entrance door to flat was loud and we heard guests coming in the evening and morning. The windows were good isolated, only sometimes we hear the doves in the morning which sleeped unter the roof. The curtain was ok, on first day there was a gap and room was fast bright, later this was no issue. The stairs to the flat are very narrow and high and we didn’t see the lift in first day (read the mail good!) and bringing luggage to 4th floor by hand was a pain. After that we only used the lift, also without luggage. As it has no breakfast buffet you got one Croissant per day per person, jam and coffee (via hot water) and you could buy everything else like juice and yoghurt in the carrefour about 3 min away. You pay a lot for the central hotel, not for the rooms or hotel with its equipment. Cleaning was good, shower needs more water pressure. We used the plugs on the bed for loading our equipment, so this was no issue. Valentina was great, she helped us and she is the reason we gave one star more. Would it be cheaper, 5*!

Was great! We had a really good time and Nicola the host during our stay was super friendly and helpful. Just be aware that the reception is on the 4th Floor so its a bit of a walk up the stairs if you do not like small elevators.

Very nice hotel. Highly recommend it. Location is amazing. Just be prepared if you have large luggage. The small elevator is interesting but it's manageable. The staff was very willing to assist.

Great location with very friendly staff. This accommodation is about 4-6 rooms, taking up an entire floor of a building. Not a traditional hotel. Front desk is only there until early afternoon. Very friendly, safe, stocked mini fridge with beer and wine. Large bathroom and good balcony. They drop off a croissant each morning, there is an espresso pod machine in the room, but no formal breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay. I think I got a few spider/mosquito bites when I awoke. We left the window open at night for cool air and I saw some cobwebs in the top of the room between the traditional looking rafters.

The room was very nice, although smaller than expected based on the photos. Valentina was awesome, and very helpful. The room was very clean and I loved having hot croissants delivered to my door every morning. The elevator is a little terrifying, but that’s not abnormal for Italy. Let’s face it. The buildings are kind of old, so they’re add-ons. It worked just fine. I enjoyed the little balcony.

This is an excellent property but it's a little quirky, not a traditional hotel. The front office is on the fourth floor and the elevator is tiny. The room itself is very nice, super clean, the wifi is excellent. The location is walkable to lots of attractions and dining. I would highly recommend this property.

A beautifully appointed property with exceptional hosts! Though we knew reception was only open until 1 pm and had clear directions on how to gain entry to the secure building on our own, the gentleman working that day waited for us when our train arrived late by one hour and gave us wonderful touring and restaurant recommendations. Inside the marble tiled room we had access to a free mini bar with a small bottle of prosecco, sodas, beer and water. Every morning to go with our espresso (Nespresso machine with capsules provided) fresh, buttery cornettos arrived at 8 am. Many trattoria, restaurant and shopping options close by. It is also right in the heart of many historic sites to see, easily walkable if no mobility issues, otherwise the old-world charm bricked streets may be difficult. There is a old style very small lift (if more than two bags you may want to go up separately) otherwise a walk up four flights. We usually walked down, and rode up (tired after long touring walks, lol!). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our hosts, and highly recommend the Minerva Relais.

What a great find! This is a lovely boutique hotel, right in the heart of town! Beautiful and quiet rooms, with all the amenities including a mini bar, nespresso machine and fresh croissants each morning! Great starting point to walk to any of the major attractions. Would definitely come back again!

The location is excellent and the service is great. Pantheon is right next to it. The hotel is within a residential complex (top floor). Although the room I stayed is small, I am ok with it as there were only two of us and we only came back to sleep. The room is clean. Please note that the front desk is from 8am to 2pm. Overall good experience.

Hotellet er hæderligt og fungerer glimrende til overnatning. Meget fin rengøring men med kloaklugt fra badeværelset. Receptionen er kun tilstede mellem 8-13. Måske ikke helt prisen værd. Beliggenhed er tip-top og det er hvad der betales for i Rom.

Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt. Det er kun fem rom i fjerde etasje. Mange smale trapper og kun en bitte liten heis. Du bør derfor ikke ha klaustrofobi - om du ikke er sprek nok til å gå alle trappene om du velger dette hotellet. Vi fikk rom med vinduer som kunne åpnes helt - noe vi satte stor pris på. Det var et lite kjøleskap der og en liten kaffemaskin. Varme croissanter hang på døra om morgningen - veldig hyggelig og luktet godt. Det er litt lytt ut mot gangen og litt hard seng - men vi hadde noen fine dager der. Veldig hyggelig betjening. Veldig sentralt.

A small but fabulous place to stay. Valentina is awesome and the croissants every day on our door were wonderful. Everything worked as it should and they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Rooms were clean and they are very thoughtful as to what you might need.

Très propre, situation au top à 3 minutes à pied du Panthéon et à 8 minutes de la fontaine de Trevi. Tout se fait à pied. Nicola est très sympathique et de très bon conseil pour visiter Rome. petit croissant gratuit tous les jours devant notre chambre minibar offert. Seul, petit bémol, on entend un peu les voisins mais aucun bruit de l extérieur mais vu tous les autres avantages c est une bonne adresse.

Great room in a great area, can easily walk to a lot of the major tourist sites, like the pantheon or colosseum, as well as many restaurants and coffee shops. Not very sound proof though so if you’re a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs! Still highly recommend this place though

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The location was incredibly central. Valentina was so accommodating- she even helped set up a surprise in the room for my birthday. the room was clean and spacious! We really couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Minerva Relais is a hidden gem! Our room was beautiful and large, and the hotel's location is perfect, a short walk to the inner city's major sights. We had a wonderful stay!

Fantastic location!! Right near the Pantheon but tucked away so it felt like a secret. I loved the nice touches, such as the croissant they leave for you each morning. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean however the walls are paper thin and I could hear the people in the room next door- almost clearly enough to make out what was being said on a phone call. Also because the room I had (4th floor) opened onto reception, during the night I could hear anyone coming in/out the main front door which is heavy & slams. Once I wore earplugs I slept fine but I mention it because I’ve never had to do that before, I usually sleep really soundly.

The room was lovely. Bed was very comfortable. Loved that they had four pillows on the bed. Croissants each morning delivered was a nice touch. Told the front desk the morning after we checked in that the drain in the shower was plugged up. They didn't fix it. The last morning we were there I needed to wash my hair. As I was about to rinse the conditioner out of my hair, I realized the shower was actually leaking out into the bathroom, and there was a lot of water in the bathroom. I had to get out with conditioner in my hair...put lots of towels on the floor...wait for the shower to drain some, and then get quickly back in to rinse off. Then I had to blow dry my hair in the bedroom so I didn't get electracuted! When we checked out, we told the front desk. As they came in to look, I got the feeling they thought we had done something wrong....even though we had previously told them. Drains don't get that plugged up that fast...it's probably been like that for awhile. I feel bad...Other than that, the hotel was lovely. Great location...quick lift...etc

Told the front desk the morning after we checked in that the drain in the shower was plugged up. They didn't fix it. The last morning we were there I needed to wash my hair. As I was about to rinse the conditioner out of my hair, I realized the shower was actually leaking out into the bathroom, and there was a lot of water in the bathroom. I had to get out with conditioner in my hair...put lots of towels on the floor...wait for the shower to drain some, and then get quickly back in to rinse off. Then I had to blow dry my hair in the bedroom so I didn't get electracuted! When we checked out, we told the front desk. As they came in to look, I got the feeling they thought we had done something wrong....even though we had previously told them. Drains don't get that plugged up that fast...it's probably been like that for awhile. I feel bad...Other than that, the hotel was lovely. Great location...quick lift...etc

We arrived in the evening on a warm day. The room is in the uppest floor right below the roof so it was really hot and humid in it. The AC was good and could cool it down. But every evening we need to use the AC again, luckily the night even with closed windows was ok. The room itself was big and ok, the toilet a little small. It’s not a usual hotel, more a flat with 7 rooms with a reception. The WiFi connection was very good. There was no German Television. The entrance door to flat was loud and we heard guests coming in the evening and morning. The windows were good isolated, only sometimes we hear the doves in the morning which sleeped unter the roof. The curtain was ok, on first day there was a gap and room was fast bright, later this was no issue. The stairs to the flat are very narrow and high and we didn’t see the lift in first day (read the mail good!) and bringing luggage to 4th floor by hand was a pain. After that we only used the lift, also without luggage. As it has no breakfast buffet you got one Croissant per day per person, jam and coffee (via hot water) and you could buy everything else like juice and yoghurt in the carrefour about 3 min away. You pay a lot for the central hotel, not for the rooms or hotel with its equipment. Cleaning was good, shower needs more water pressure. We used the plugs on the bed for loading our equipment, so this was no issue. Valentina was great, she helped us and she is the reason we gave one star more. Would it be cheaper, 5*!

The room was very clean and I loved having hot croissants delivered to my door every morning. The elevator is a little terrifying, but that’s not abnormal for Italy. Let’s face it. It is close to everything. It is clean and the staff are very nice and helpful. I stayed in 3 different hotels in 3 different cities in Italy but none of them were as good as this hotel as far as communication. I was surprised when I emailed them the first time with a question and they responded right away ( a person answered my email and not an automatic reply). The best thing about this hotel is the location and the staff.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were so accommodating, they gave great advice and restaurant recommendations. The AC in the rooms are actually great (coming from someone in the US). The location is excellent. Walking distance from pantheon, Spanish steps, trevi fountain, etc. The staff also left delicious croissants in front of our doors which was just so sweet to wake up to. They do have an elevator as well which we hadn’t realized until half way up the stairs. Be prepared for a workout if you’re taking the stairs! Overall great place.

We had a fantastic stay at the Minerva Relais this week. Excellent communication from them throughout. We arrived after the reception had shut but very detailed and perfect instructions sent prior to arrival which made check in seamless. Very friendly staff who gave us all the inside knowledge on the best places to visit outside of the main attractions. The fresh croissants each morning were a welcome bonus. Rooms were clean and perfect for our needs. Would definitely stay again.

We are in Italy ever year. This location is perfect especially if you are bringing new guests with you for their first experience. Valentina and staff were amazing. What a great find! This is a lovely boutique hotel, right in the heart of town! Our stay was really nice. The hotel staff were very nice, welcoming and helpful. You are able to message them via whatsapp at anytime and they provided dining options and car service options. The issues that we had were that one of the bathrooms leaked. The other is my ceiling had a plastic bag on it which was strange. Other than that I would recommend staying here. Very short walk to the pantheon and all the other Rome attractions. It is right outside a Michelin star restaurant which was not expensive and food was good.
