Breakfast was decent, we went down both mornings and they do rotate how they cook the eggs and what meat is on the side. This time our room was near the pool but it wasn't too loud. Negative is all the ice machines except one were out of order. This wasn't mentioned at check-in so we had to hunt for one that was operable.

The parking was limited and I got glass in a tire and had to buy a new tire, the area where you park was dark so you could not see the glass until it was to late, Brand new tire cost $180, had to be replaced. If the parking lot had better lighting you could see the broken glass

The room wasnnice and clean. Staff was very kind. Renee, Fonda, & Sharella(Nightshift Concierge) were very polite and ensuring we had everything we needed. Breakfast reminders, and pool opening was a plus. Will definitely visit again soon.

This hotel was clean and up to date. Pool good and friendly staff. Only thing at time of stay was one elevator and closeest ice machine were out of service, but had more of both. Overall, nice stay.

The hotel has 3 separate buildings. If you are in the back building, it is a trek to get to the building that has the breakfast. It would also be an uncomfortable walk to the pool. The alleys between buildings are small and poorly lit. Upon entering the room, there was a strong musty smell. I even felt the need to check the beds for bedbugs before even sitting on the beds. (There weren't any, and the beds did seem like they would be comfortable if you can ignore the musty smell and the dilapidated condition of things.) As I picked up a hand towel from a rack to dry my hands, the rack instantly fell off the wall...there is no way this was not already broken and just balancing. As I attempted to call the front desk, the wire fell out of the phone. I felt like I was in either a comedy or a horror movie. I asked to check out and be refunded. The lady at the front desk was helpful and said she would give the refund, but I would have to call Hotels.com, and Hotels.com would have to call her. I made the calls and we were out of there within 10 minutes.

The room has a very strong musty odor and was difficult to deal with the whole time. Would be good to have flooring instead of carpet. Tub was dirty (needs Barkeepers Friend) had a footprint in it. Coffee splash on wall by mirror. Blowdryer was dirty. Pool needs service (probably due to excessive rain conditions so that is understood). Staff was excellent. Breakfast was amazing. Overall should these issues be addressed their should rating should improve as due to my experience…I will not be returning.

First impression was the room was not cleaned properly with dirt in the corners, hair in the shower, and on the toilet. The carpet was very dirty, our feet were very dirty after walking without shoes. The hall smelled of pot and cigarette smoke, there are signs that say no smoking! When we saw the roaches we decided it was time to go. All that being said…the front staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. Unfortunately the rooms need a huge upgrade.

I had to change rooms due to the wet carpet and mildew smell just to be moved to another room that was dirty and we had to kill roaches in the bathroom. I want a refund. Will never stay here ever again.

Most of the rooms face out into the parking lot. Would of much preferred if the rooms were interior. Breakfast was a little less than normal with the hot entrees being eggs, biscuits, waffles, and sliced sausage. Though the room was much nicer inside than from the outside, the beds were a bit hard for me. The room was very clean and the shower nice and warm. However the ice machine was an adventure to find a working one. The one on our floor was non-working and had the sign that said: "out fo oder" I believe that was phonetics for Out of order. LOL...

It was very noisy. the shower head in the room was broken and only sprayed one jet stream of water out. the remote for the tv had dead batteries. wasn't bad, but wasn't all that good either the location was good.

Staff and location are great, but the room was in a terrible state. Holes in walls. Air conditioner screen was caked with dirt. Bed was clean and bug free, otherwise we would have stayed elsewhere.

Breezeways outside of rooms vs. interior hallways did seem to allow for voices etc. to carry into my room pretty loudly. But, this was only a problem 1 night out of 3.

Enjoyed staying here. Front desk staff was friendly upon checking in and checking out. My room was on ground level and I had the option to park right in front of my room which was super convenient as it made it easy to unload and reload my car! The hotel is located right on a busy highway so it was a bit noisy but the room itself was really nice, Very comfy bed. Breakfast was ok. Not much healthy options to choose from other than yogurt. All in all, I might stay here again if my room was far away from the road.

The evening/overnight staff were very rude and even treated us like we were vagrants walking in off the street. The noise and pot smells were unbearable, and the housekeeping staff kept knocking our door (multiple times) to prod us to check out before check out time. We had stayed here before and that was the reason we booked again, but probably never again after this experience. Customer services can smooth over a lot but the staff this time didn’t show that they cared about service.

We had to rebook from another hotel and found Clarion Pointe on Hotels.com. Front desk supervisor Ms. Valerie was gave us a warm welcome and we had a beautiful, clean room with the most comfortable beds! Shoutout to Michael for the hot, delicious breakfast! Wanda in housekeeping was pleasant and very helpful. We would recommend Hotels.com and Clarion Pointe Hotel, Research Park to family, friends and others ❤

When we checked in our room was still being cleaned. The TV remote was missing and the phone had missing buttons on it so I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk. I called multiple times and no one answered. When I went to the lobby there was no one at the front desk and the lobby reeked of marijuana. Definitely will not ever stay at this property again.

I rebooked after staying 11 days for work and couldn’t be happier with this hotel. All of the stall have been polite and courteous and treat you like a guest and not a burden. Especially Valorie at the front desk and Matti that makes the breakfast. Valorie was so polite and pleasant when she checked me out and back in. Mattie patrols the breakfast area making sure biscuit’s&gravy, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, smoked sausages, and everything else is fresh and ready.

Stayed at the Clarion Pointe for a show at the Orion Amphitheater. The staff were incredible and let us really enjoy ourselves. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Walking distance, great taco truck beside and the 95% of the people were all there for the same show so I made a lot of friends.

I picked this hotel because it was walking distance from the Orion and I had enough points for a free stay. Fridge and microwave came on handy with the Trader Joe's down the street. Breakfast is standard hotel lobby fare.

The staff were all very kind and pleasant, the room was clean, and we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Very good quality and services for the price. We will probably stay here again. It's in a decent location, near Research Park and a lot of different shopping and food. It's not a very special area though: big non-walkable highways and lots of strip malls with regional/national chains, but there are some hidden gems in the area.

This was our first trip to the Huntsville area. The only positives about this hotel is that the staff was friendly and the location is nice. However, the rooms were filthy. There were black hairs all in our beds and on the towels. The smell in the hallway is horrific. People were smoking weed all night near our room. It was definitely a "party" hotel. Not family friendly. The breakfast was undercooked and not a lot of selection. We will definitely not stay here again.

The room was clean and not in need of maintenance like a lot of motels. The staff was great especially the folks who work the breakfast area. And breakfast was every bit as good as the Hampton's and Holiday Inn's where I have stayed. Waffles! 2 waffle irons! Eggs and a meat w/biscuits and gravy. You can't beat that! The check in/out process was quick and courteous. The pool was clean. Plenty of safe parking. Well lit at night. Close to everything you might need. Great price too.

Check in staff was friendly and quick. Got up to our room and enjoyed the additional hard window coverings for added privacy and light blockage. The area was pretty quiet, room was clean and spacious and the bed was super comfy. They do provide soap dispensers inside the shower which is nice. Breakfast was surprisingly good, lots of options, and the front desk staff made it sound like they rotate options a bit so if you're staying a few days it's not so boring. Looking forward to our next visit!
