Paulaner am Dom Hotel

The hotel was close to many things. There was not a light in the hall outside my door so I had to use my phone to see to unlock my door.

Great smooth quick check-in young lady. 10 ++/ AA +++ stay. Great WiFi. Nice clean room Elevator. New and modern room and bathroom, GREAT view of the Dom from the room. Can walk to all city historical sites. Parking was a little issue since they do not have parking. The public parking closes and is an issue if you have an early flight out of FRA airport, but it all worked out fine, No 24 hour desk. Still a vey lovely stay. Daniel- USA

This is an excellent hotel in terms of location and convenience but also is very clean and comfortable. Parking difficult but there is a parking lot close by.highly recommend the restaurant if you’re loooking for typical German food

Very nice property with super nice staff. Premise restaurant is a combo beer garden and restaurant. And not bad at all. No ac and the room was a bit stuffy but windows do open wide. TV either had only two channels or was too complicated for us to figure out. All sai, we would happily stay there again.

For the price and compared to other places we stayed in the Netherlands and Europe it was a downgrade and did not meet our expectations. The area was nice but the room was very basic, no fridge and no air so we had the windows open. But then you had the people at the Paulener pub smoking so it wasn't ideal for us. The breakfast was very good and the staff at breakfast were very friendly.

주차장이 없어서 걱정을 했는데 너무 가까이에 주차장이 있어서 좋았다 심지어 주차요금이 그 어느 주차장보다 저렴해서 너무 좋았다 엘레베이터가 오래됐는데 옛날 감성이 느껴져서 나는 좋았고 아이는 신세계를 경험하며 좋아했다 아침도 주고 바로 아래가 식당이라 밤에도 쉽게 맥주 한잔 할수 있어서 좋다

O hotel é bem localizado. O elevador não estava funcionando nos 3 dias que passamos lá. O blackout da cortina é ruim. E não tem ar-condicionado e nem minibar. No verão faz falta.

The location is excellent and considering the reasonable price — especially with breakfast included — it’s quite a rare find. However, the affordable rate does come with some compromises. The facilities are rather dated and not very well equipped. The front desk is only staffed from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and rooms use traditional keys. There is no fridge or safe in the room. Please also note that there’s a radiator but no air conditioner. Housekeeping was unfortunately the weakest part of my stay. On the day I arrived, I noticed sunflower seed shells beside the nightstand, and they remained there throughout my stay. There were also some hairs left from the previous guests on the bed and in the bathroom. One morning, I asked the cleaner to come back after ten minutes so I could finish getting ready, but when I returned later, it was obvious she never came back — the room wasn’t cleaned, the trash wasn’t emptied, and the towels were still on the floor. The front desk staffs were never particularly warm or attentive. On the other hand, the two ladies and one young man who helped with breakfast, were the only ones who consistently greeted guests with genuine smiles and would responded to our requests — they left a positive impression.

When I arrived at 1900 the day of my check-in, no one was at the front desk to help me check in. The keys were not in the box out front like the email instructed, so I had to walk over to the restaurant to ask for help. A waiter found the person working the front desk, and directed him over to me. I finally got checked in, and thought the room was satisfactory and clean. Since the hotel does not have AC, I had to leave my windows open and was woken up at dawn to a very loud delivery being unloaded to the hotel restaurant right below my window. When I tried to check out the following afternoon at 1100, no one was at the front desk again and I had to wait 10 min before someone came downstairs to help. They also don’t have a place to store luggage and had multiple suitcases against the wall of the tiny entryway to the hotel. Overall, I would NOT recommend this staying at Paulaner am Dom. The location was central to sightseeing, and easily walkable. But those benefits did not outweigh the negatives in my experience.

This property needs significant maintenance and upkeep. Our room had torn curtains, a leaky sink, broken or missing cove moldings, and a container of rodent poison in one corner. Even though our room was nonsmoking it was obvious someone had been smoking in it recently. The location was great with easy access to Xmas markets and the Romerberg but the property itself sucked.

We arrived late and check in was okay. This room had no sheets in the bed and was dirty and smelled very bad. We literally laid on top of the bed and remained dressed. We were placed on the first floor and awoken in the morning to loud banging- resulting in absolutely no sleep. The Reaturant said it was open when we arrived at 10:30 pm until 12 midnight but it closed just before 11pm.

Bra hotell! Veldig bra restaurant! Dusjhode fosset ut vann på siden så det var ikke helt i orden. Ellers en svært hyggelig opplevelse og en fantastisk bra beliggenhet!

Great location. Very clean and in good condition.

It could not have been more convenient for the main Innenstadt sights especially as I cannot walk long distances without finding somewhere to sit for a few minutes! Also it was within easy walking distance of U Bahn stations. The room was very simple but serviceable and I had a nice little balcony at the back overlooking lovely tees in blossom. Relatively friendly though not very attentive staff. As I stayed there however I realized that there was evidence of some maintenance problems eg the lift which often got stuck on the first floor because the manually operated outer door did not shut completely. Cleaning was influenced probably by lack of staff, but on one day my bed wasn't made ( no big deal I know but such a silly oversight) On another when I returned after being out till 15.00 the room had not yet been reached and there were bags of linen everywhere on the landing as the cleaner was remaking beds for new visitors. As I needed a rest I had to tell the cleaner I would not require the room to be cleaned. I do not find that acceptable in any hotel. The shower room was just about adequate but showed signs of age and not very thorough cleaning - for instance the shower head. All in all - if I went to Frankfurt again which is actually unlikely, I would stay here again only because of its very convenient location which compensates a bit for the disadvantages outlined above.

Everything was great except for the fact the bathroom would flood while you showered i did let them know hope they fix this. Other then that everything was great

This property is a great value, especially considering the included breakfast. Great location to explore the old town. Our room was quite small and practical - almost like a student residence. The shower is quite small. The biggest downside for us, was the lack of air conditioning. This wouldn't be an issue for most of the year, but this was July, and even with the windows open and two fans on, the room temperature was almost unbearable during the day. Bed was nice, but sleeping was difficult due to the heat.

Room was very nice. Had a wonderful view overlooking the cathedral. Loved being in the Old Town...very walkable to items of interest in the area. Breakfast was great too! Will stay again.

Great hotel. Amazing view of the Frankfurt Cathedral from our balcony (definitely reserve a balcony room if you can - there is one on each floor). Very short walk -about one block- to Dom/Römer U-bahn station. 300m walk to Römerberg. We had just one evening in Frankfurt, so this was the perfect location!

Could not have asked for a better location. So close to both a parking garage and public transportation. In the same plaza as the cathedral and right around the corner from the heart of old town. Staff was friendly, room was well maintained. Breakfast was fairly typical European style, but plentiful. Be warned late sleepers, the cathedral bells will wake you up!

The room was very clean. This was literally the only hotel that had availability in the city centre within my budget so I took their "family room", which was very spacious for a solo traveller. I would imagine it's a decent size room for a family of three. The location was great, very close to the metro station so it was handy. But the staff were too busy with restraunt orders and it was very difficult to catch them to have conversation with. When I wanted to check out in the morning, none was around the reception and again it was difficult to get hold of any staff...The noise from the street was too loud...and windows were all open when I arrived when it was less than 10 degrees. So the room was freezing cold and it wasn't warm even after I came back from dinner.

Location is unbelievably close to the old town. Breakfast has good variety. Condition of accommodation is old but clean. The hotel is basic, suits travellers who don’t spend much time in the hotel.

Excellent location with key sites within easy walk. Room was compact but very clean and functional. Some noise from restaurant below at night but not excessive.

The front desk was really great, and the breakfast was really great. Everybody really works hard at this hotel. I loved the location and my room was right across the cathedral so I can hear the church bells which was really nice. The room is small, but it doesn’t matter. I was only there to sleep. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was OK.

The location of this hotel is a major highlight, nestled in the charming old town and right next to the iconic Frankfurt Cathedral. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the staff member who upgraded me from a single to a double room was lovely. Just be aware that the double room, while appreciated, has a standard double bed that could feel small for two occupants. Also, the room's proximity to the restaurant below meant some noise in the evening, although this did improve after 11 PM when the restaurant closed.

We had the most wonderful stay! I traveled with my two grown kids, and it was a nice surprise that my son has his own room. We also had a balcony that overlooked the beautiful Cathedral! Biona, at the front desk was amazing! She was kind, patient with us, and went above and beyond for us! The restaurant was incredible, and the staff was very friendly! The location is perfect for the Christmas Market, and I highly recommend this hotel!!

どこを観光するかによりますが、立地はいいと思います。また、レストランが人気のホテルで、朝食がかなり美味しかったです。 1番の問題はチェックインの難しさです。チェックインは外のボックスから自分で鍵を取り出す必要があります。前日などに案内が来ますが、読んでも実際にその場所を見つけるのに苦労しました。ボックスは目立たない作りになっており、私の目には入ったものの、配電盤だと思って鍵が入ってるとは思いませんでした。 夕方からフロントに人がいないです。レストランの年配の女性の店員に聞いたら、ホテル入口の所に行きなさいと強い口調で言われてレストランから追い出され、チェックインもできず途方に暮れました。その後、別の男性店員に頼んだらボックスを開けて鍵を出してくれて本当に助かりました。感謝しています。

Easy to get to the hotel per public transportation from the airport. Appreciated early check in opportunity. Friendly staff and best of all, the breakfast buffet. Enough food for the day!

Excellent location, right next to St. Bartholomew Cathedral in old Frankfurt. The Paulaner restaurant attached to the hotel is convenient for lunch or dinner. Breakfast at the hotel in the morning is great, offering a full array of options. Room was clean and spacious, and in great condition. Excellent spot!!

Location, location, location. Right across the street from a beautiful cathedral, and much of the city's picturesque squares are within blocks. Upscale shopping district within walking distance. Christmas Markets were fantastic.

Perfect location for discovering Frankfurt. Old town is literally right outside. Shopping is a stones throw away. Easy access to metro/trams/buses/taxis if needed. Carpark was 5 minute walk if even and was very affordable. Safe, clean. A little weathered but expected and charming for Europe. Friendly staff, more than enough breakfast variety. Connected to German restaurant which was also great. Our room had view of the beautiful cathedral which is literally right outside. I travelled with 1 yr old and felt perfectly safe.

Great value for the money. The front desk manager Heiko is very friendly. And he is very helpful. The breakfast is really nice and the lady in the breakfast room is very friendly and provides great service. Their is a small elevator you can use to get your bags up to your room. The attached restaurant/ beer garden serves delicious authentic German food and a large selection of great beer. I even enjoyed the non- alcaholic hefe weizen. The hotel is perfectly located in the best part of Frankfurt, the old town. It's a 1 min walk to Romer Platz and U-Bahn. I highly recommend and look forward to my next stay.

Hotel veramente molto bello, situato praticamente ai piedi del duomo nel centro storico di Francoforte. Staff molto gentile e disponibile. Camera bellissima, comoda, silenziosa e molto pulita. Colazione standard ma molto buona con prodotti di qualità. Il ristorante birreria dell'hotel merita una visita. Ci tornerò.

Amazing stay at this hotel. Excellent breakfast, and the view from our window of the Dom was breathtaking. Suoer convenient to U and S Bahn stations to airport.

Friendly staff, clean room, kettle in room was much appreciated as not a given in Germany. My room had a balcony which was great. A little small and basic but fine for a short stay. Lovely, tasty and plentiful breakfast, very attentive service. Restaurant is superb.

Hotel in the shadow of local Cathedral. Great location. Restaurant was fantastic. Tip order one meal per two people. It’s huge. I had something called sausage symphony. It was as good as it sounded, but so much food. If one comment not so much a complaint was that at check-in they charged my card. Saying the Expedia was just to hold the room. We’ll see how much we spend. All in all would recommend.

We booked a premium double with a balcony, and it was worse than a small dorm room and the balcony looked out at the street with awful apartments opposite!. The photos online misrepresented this hotel completely. We complained and were told they were full, so no other options. Thankfully, the door to the patio was completely broken and falling out so they had no choice but to move us to another room (even though they were full!). We were grateful that it was a two bedroom suite with a balcony looking over the cathedral (as expected from the photos). The breakfast was decent, but on our last day I noticed that the bread was extremely moldy. It had been in the bread bin for days! They removed it but it put me off completely. I would NOT recommend this unless you want to be right next to the cathedral, over their very thriving and noisy bar/restaurant.
