Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and upgraded our room free of charge. Stunning location and views from the excellent restaurant. First class.

Very complicated lights/blind system in room. AC would not turn on. Very hot sleepless night, no response when we called and messaged front desk. Very tiny tiny shower. Nice restaurant with beautiful waterfront view. Breakfast included was nice.

This location is fundamentally an upmarket restaurant very popular with the well heeled. It is also a hotel. The room was clean and the beds and pillows soft and welcoming . The shower was good and fierce however the toilet seat was loose. The air con worked well and was very quiet. Good fridge . However the luxury coffee maker proved hard to use and the pods failed, just producing hot water on the first few occasions with damaged pods-whats wrong with a kettle? A small set of instructions would be go a long way here The view of the lake was lovely -although you shared the "garden view" with a number of other rooms that fronted on to it which made it a bit feel less special. The WiFi was weak and dropped out in our room, speeds around 1mb/s, just needs a repeater put in. Positively, the room was very quiet at night. The car park space "allocated" to your stay was a lottery as the spaces (about half the underground lot) filled up in the early evening and then you had to park elsewhere, spaces are also very tight with concrete pillars, so ideally have a small car! Breakfast was excellent and being served outside by the lake in the warm weather we were lucky to have was a delight. The bar/restaurant gets very busy and doesn't feel like a place to go and have a drink and work or relax for a longer period. The restaurant gets fully booked with visitors/locals. If you don't remember/ choose to book in advance plan on going elsewhere to eat as you will be turned away.

Pros: Owners are nice, area is quiet, room is spacious and clean, dinner is excellent, good view of the lake. Some staff very nice. Cons: every morning for breakfast the staff is different and causes stress on where it is okay to sit. One actually made a scene and embarrassed us. Breakfast is small and limited, boring after a couple of days. A couple staff members were rude during dinner. Seems like the restaurant staff don’t communicate on seating or leave reserved signs or something for the customer to know. Heat/air conditioning unit in the room didn’t work and staff was aware of it, brought us a space heater after we called reception. Said it was old. Replace it then. Lights are a central panel and didn’t work properly in the room. Parking can be difficult if you come back during the restaurant dinner hours. House keeping cleaned the room and when we returned that evening, no toilet paper. Tried calling reception and no answer. Tried calling reception a few times before during other days and hit and miss if they answer. I went to the reception and they were busy with the dinner crowd, I had to wait at reception for 30 minutes to get the toilet paper. Every day seemed to have something that made inconvenience or stress. Won’t recommend or stay there again. Our stay was for 10 days.
