Unique experience - remember these properties have no television or phones in the suites or cabins - the restaurant no longer exists ( destroyed by fire ) grounds and views are spectacular. The accommodations are upscale camping plus. Quality restaurants are within a 15 minute drive. The front end staff were extremely knowledgeable about the area and helpful. PS you are also provided wood and kindling for fire pits - the property also has laundry and workout facilities at your disposal

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect! Quiet with a great view of the river and mountains (I loved sitting in the swinging chair by the river looking out) and the firepits are so cosy as well! It also has a sauna, steam room, gym and laundry which is very handy! All the staff we met were lovely and helpful as well! We saw a lot of wildlife like bears when driving on the road to/from the place which was also very special! Beautiful, quiet location - would definitely stay here again!

We had such a good wintery getaway to this beautiful resort in the woods. The staff was great and our room was super cosy. We loved sitting by the outdoor fire, riding the fat bikes and using the sauna and steam room.

Cabin was fantastic. Rustic, close to water. Beautiful fire pits with unlimited wood. Gym, sauna and steam room were also great. Temp control was tricky as radiator ran through the night making bedroom very hot

We were there for sking in Lake Louise. Close to the ski resorts and village. It's a great experiences. Hocking ring, fire pit and much more. Everything is include in the cabin. A warm and cozy feeling. I will recommand.

We had an AMAZING stay. Gorgeous setting, extremely charming grounds and fun extras. We loved making a fire (with kit provided by front desk), roasting the sausages & s’mores we bought in the shop, riding fat tire bikes around the area, using the sauna & steam room and playing board games in front of the fire in our room. Definitely recommend- would love to come back in the summer.

Our 9-night stay at Baker Creek was wonderful and we would absolutely stay there again! We really appreciated the location - close enough to Lake Louise but off the main highway. Even with trains coming close by, it was peaceful in the lodge building room we were in. The sound of the river compensated for the train noise! The setting is just gorgeous, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Yes, the carpet is a bit worn, and the towels and sheets weren’t brand new, but it was perfect for a mountain getaway, and the jacuzzi bath was great after a long day of hiking. The laundry facility is just one washer and one dryer in the lodge building, but they are good quality machines and a great amenity. Having a microwave and small refrigerator in our room was also very useful, and the pour over coffee maker and kettle was great! I definitely hope we can make it back to Baker Creek one day!

We stayed in the townhouse so didn't have our own cabin. This was our first time staying there. The property is beautiful, however in such a tranquil setting, there was a train right in the back yard that passed by about every 30 minutes. We found that the room was nice, however there was someone elses hair balls on the jacuzzi walls and a lot of pink scum in the shower. The partition wall was very sticky and the mini fridge froze all our food. The flooring of the room really should have been replaced, you can see that they put a lot of money into having the luxury of these beautiful cabins but then skimped out on flooring, the appliances, some of the decor and a jacuzzi that just created bubbles and didn't have jets. All in all, for the cost of this place, I would say it was okay but not worth what we paid.

Great place to get away from the grind, plenty of things to keep you busy from free to use fat tire mountain bikes, not to mention the ice skating rink to play a game of hockey with the kids and relax in the sauna at the end of the day. The cabin was clean and well kept with all your kitchen needs and great coffee from devils head coffee roasters. This was my families 2nd time out and everything was pretty good my only gripe was black mold on the ceiling in our bathroom probably wasn’t the biggest deal but for $450 a night I don’t want mold in our living area. They can do a little better I think with keeping the maintenance up to par.

Very poor housekeeping services. There was a very old gummy worm on the bed frame. Can't believe the housekeeper couldn't see it whenever they change the linens or make the bed. They didn't replace our used towels, didn't wipe down the mirror, didn't sweep or vacuum the bathroom floor. Bathrobes/housecoat were in poor condition.

Baker Creek was an amazing property. My partner and I stayed in a jacuzzi suite, the room was clean, jacuzzi was amazing, king sized bed was incredibly comfortable. The sound of the creek at night was beautiful, overall we were both very pleased with the facility, the staff, the grounds, everything. The price point is very high but it was worth it for a celebration weekend.

Super gorgeous scenery. The complimentary coffee was great. Love the decor of the room, the jacuzzi, the bed and the rocking chair. It was an amazing experience. If I have to be nit-picky, the water pressure of the shower isn't quite strong. The room was very clean, however I can see a layer of dust on the upper part of the wall on top of the couch. It doesn't affect my experience too much as I wouldn't be touching that area, but considering the price, I would have expected more thorough cleaning. But overall the experience was great!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was nice and quiet. We opened our sliding door to the balcony and could hear the soothing sound of the water flowing over the rocks in the stream right outside our door. We were very surprised to hear the train that ran near the property, but laughed when thinking about the scene from “My Cousin Vinny”, but it wasn’t as bad as that. If the door was closed it wasn’t that loud. I was disappointed to not have air conditioning, I wish I would’ve known when booking the property. Also, spotty cellular and WiFi was a disappointment. Not having a TV was okay, but watching a movie would have been nice to do if we would have had WiFi. The room was clean and the property is well kept. The staff were very courteous and friendly. I would recommend the property, but would warn about no A/C and spotty cellular and WiFi.

Great room in a beautiful setting. Loved sitting by the adjacent creek for dinners and early morning coffee. There is a nearby train track with several trains per night. Did not bother us however as I’m a train guy. The biggest is that there is no air conditioning. With the temps in the 90s it was tough to be in the room between noon and 8:00 pm. Like the property a lot but watch for weather conditions

The staff were absolutely amazing! So friendly and ready to help in any way. They use local products for the toiletries, coffee and tea, so they are supporting small business as well. A lovely room in a winter wonderland and located in a stunning part of the Rockies. The reason for the rating is the extremely disappointing and surprisingly condescending service - not at all what you’d expect from a resort at this price point and unlike I’ve ever experienced in 20 years of travel. My partner and I were wrongfully accused of smoking in the unit and our deposit was withheld. We frequent Banff establishments and are well aware of the park bylaws. We are always sure to review company policies in advance to ensure we are compliant and considerate. My partner smoked in our vehicle and disposed of the butts before we checked out - disposing of trash in the receptacle provided should be added to their policy. It was three weeks before the General Manager finally got back to us and based on our correspondence and her replies to other guests’ poor reviews, I’ll expect an arrogant response to my honest feedback here :) I suggest visiting Castle Mountain Chalets for a similar location at a much better value, Emerald Lake Lodge for spectacular views and a sense of exclusivity, and Mount Engadine Lodge for genuine and comforting hospitality - these options truly go above and beyond for their guests and provide remarkable value in your experience. Needless to say, we will not visit Baker Creek or Basecamp Resorts again.

Our 9-night stay at Baker Creek was wonderful and we would absolutely stay there again! We really appreciated the location - close enough to Lake Louise but off the main highway. Even with trains coming close by, it was peaceful in the lodge building room we were in. The sound of the river compensated for the train noise! The setting is just gorgeous, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Yes, the carpet is a bit worn, and the towels and sheets weren’t brand new, but it was perfect for a mountain getaway, and the jacuzzi bath was great after a long day of hiking. The laundry facility is just one washer and one dryer in the lodge building, but they are good quality machines and a great amenity. Having a microwave and small refrigerator in our room was also very useful, and the pour over coffee maker and kettle was great! I definitely hope we can make it back to Baker Creek one day!

A few things that are good to know before coming here: 1. This resort is right next to very busy train tracks. Very long trains that take 5 minutes to pass are driving right by your cabins all night long. It's so loud and the train frequently blows its horn in the middle of the night or bright and early morning. It was very difficult to fall asleep due to the trains constantly passing. 2. Without A/C it gets stuffy in the rooms unless you sleep with the windows ir slider door open. This allows more train noise. The cabins are also very close together so on several occasions we heard our neighbors having sex. 3. This area is so remote there is no food anywhere. If you fly into Calgary, stop in Canmore and buy food and water or your room. Banff was crowded and more expensive. There is no water or ice machine at this resort. All they can give you is one cup of ice at a time 4. If you are a hiker, they have bear spray for sale at the counter for $70. Lots of people donate it back to them when they leave. Instead of buying it, ask if you can borrow a donated can and return it wen you leave. I did and they gave me a free can to use without hesitation. 5. They advertise a cafe, but it is limited take out food, expensive and not that great. I bought an overpriced oatmeal and it had expired 4 months ago. 6. The fire pits are great and had lots of availability. Bring bug spray! Mosquitos were so bad out there. The resort has stores kits, sausages and beer for purchase.

I booked on Expedia…property details state there is a cafe. When you pull into the property there is a sign for a cafe. But there is NOT a cafe. They offer limited snacks and hot dogs! My husband and I did not eat before checking in because we planned to eat at the cafe on site. Advertising is misleading. Expedia and site information needs to be updated. A very traditional log cabin design property with parking adjacent to each cabin. Set amongst a forest environment. Very quirky. Our main complaint was the lack of cooking facilities. A Micowave was provided but with no cutlery or crockery other than two mugs! Considering the price we paid and the 11Km distance to the nearest Restaurant, I would expect more.

It's a beautiful property with some great amenities. I loved the firepits along the creek! The room was newly renovated and very spacious. It is missing food options though. No choice but to drive to eat a meal as not all rooms have kitchens and our microwave was useless. Train is also noisy throughout the night.

The property itself was gorgeous, and so was its location right on Bow River. Very clean, and friendly staff. My only complaint is that there isn’t a restaurant or small Bistro/Cafe on site. They say they offer “hot and cold foods”, I was under the impression they had some kind of kitchen and room service given the pricing. However, what they meant by “hot food”, was that they have frozen pizza and can heat it up in the microwave. It was slightly inconvenient being that Lake Louise town is a 15 min drive with only 1 market and 1 mediocre restaurant to eat dinner. For breakfast, I recommend not eating at the hotel and going to Trailhead Cafe! Food and coffee was great. They are busy but if you visit you will see why! Also to note, if you do not book a cabin and stay in the main lodge (which is what I had to do because all cabins were booked), be aware it is NOISY if you are on the bottom floor. I don’t know if it was just our luck, but we must’ve had a family of 10 people with big feet for the amount of noise we heard. Didn’t matter what time of day those people walking could be heard and even their voices. I recommend making sure if you stay in the lodge, to be on the second floor.
