Check in went quickly, I showed up early, from Washington state, they were able to get me into my room so I could get settled. There was construction going on outside so that was an unexpected early wake up but not something the hotel can fix. Only used for place to lay my head. Friendly fast service. Need key to go up the elevator so it felt secure. Parking valet 50.00 or pay to park on street

Stay in oct-nov 2023. Hotel room is nice, new and modern. Kitchen fully equiped with induction. Cleaning service was not so well, they didn't do well vacuum cleaning on the floor. Laundry system: couldn't use the laundry because it needed an american creditcard to pay through app only. No other option. As a hotel you know, you receive international guest, so this is really bad. I was referred to a laundry store on a 10 min drive away! The management would call me the next day to discuss this problem, they didn't call back. While checking in creditcard was not working, therefore deposit couldnt be paid. I was ready to pay cash. My creditcard could be working in 2-3 days as well, but there were very difficult and not willing to be resilient at all. The stay was already paid, just the deposit had to be paid. But they didnt give me time to get it working and I would be on the street, despite the whole stay was already paid. Fortunately one of the people working there, solved the problem en the creditcard worked. And we got into the room. But it was quite a tension for an hour or so.

Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Early check in was greatly appreciated as we had been awake since 3:30 am for an early flight. Upon entering or leaving the building we were always warmly greeted. The hot breakfast was incredible and the gym was excellent. And it was in a beautiful part of Oakland with easy walk to restaurants and Lake Merritt. We had a fantastic stay.

The hotel is really nice and clean. We enjoyed the suite with the full kitchen. There was the teeniest tiniest bottles of salt and pepper provided. Room was clean and spacious. Living area was a bit tight. Check in- I checked in the day before. On the day of, waited to get a text when my room was available, never received it. We got in around 3:20, room wasn't ready, I was a little annoyed because everyone was really exhausted. Parking: VALET only. I didn't realize it was valet only. Its $50/night with in and out privileges +$10 fee. Might be cheaper and faster to park down the street at the center. They have $48/night and no additional fees. Room: clean and spacious. The location is really quiet but the occasional loud cars that passed by, was REALLY loud through the walls. Breakfast: good and filling breakfast. Lots of room to sit. Staff: Just minor inconveniences. Poor check in+lack of acknowledgement. I called for extra bedding and towel and no one picked up. I went down and requested them, got the bedding and no towel. Towel was never sent up. I had to go down again to get one in the morning. Valet staff-good experience but only one guy was there, check out was at 12 and the other valet was on lunch. It didn't make much sense since a lot of folks were checking out and there was a long line.

Great property, very clean and safe. I was not expecting the rooms to be as large as they were. Entire kitchen with a stove, dishwasher it was great. Super comfortable bed and clean room. Breakfast was great too. Definitely recommend this property.

The hotel seemed very nice, but I believe since we booked 3rd party we got the room directly across from the elevator. I tried to call the service desk to ask for a new room, no one answered. When it was time to go to sleep, we tried to close all the black out curtains and we were unable to close one all the way. When the sun came up, it lit the room up as if it were daytime. We tried to make coffee in the in room coffee maker in the morning. The in room coffee maker did not work. As I checked out, I let the front desk know about all of the problems, she was a it rude and asked if I had called to let them know. I had, but no one answered. Very disappointed. The only real positive is that the hotel was walking distance from the Fox Theater where we went to see a concert.

We had a quite spacious kitchen area. Hotel would be great for a long stay. Only thing I did not like was the temperature control. Sitting/kitchen was comfortable but the bedroom was distinctly cold with no thermostat for that area. Great view from upper floors. Good breakfast. (Except for coffee which was not good)

Spacious room with a full kitchen and a good value for the area. We were lucky to have a great view of the Bay area. Comfortable bed and pillow. Wifi worked well. Very expensive valet parking--we parked on the street instead. Be sure to leave nothing in the car in this area of downtown Oakland.

Checkin was fine until I tried to have some documents printed their printer was out of ink,I was promised a call when ink was replaced that never happened. Upon checking out I was hit with a “4”50.00 per night valet parking fee. I never requested same,I did not drive.Upon checking the bill that was emailed to me I realized that I was charged for parking that would, have gone unnoticed since no one had the decency to ask me upon checking in if I drove or will need parking. I called to find out why and felt like I was being disrespected and patronised by the person that answered the phone … his words exactly “it’s an easy fix” my question to him which still remains unanswered is “why then am I on the phone having to fix it then” why didn’t someone noticed it on my bill, matter of fact why was it even added to my bill … don’t think I’ll be staying there again,dishonesty don’t sit well with me …. Future guests be warned (check your bill thoroughly)

The Desk Clerk at check-in was not a pleasure to engage. No "Hello" and "Good evening" with a smile. She spoke quietly so was difficult to hear. When we arrived at our room on the fifth floor both card-keys would not open the door. I went back down to the front desk and kindly stated that the keys did not work. Her reply was not "I'm so sorry, etc.". Rather, it was a rude "Both keys? The rest of the staff was great as was the room and the breakfasts.

Quick and hassle free check-in. Room was very clean. Front desk was awesome. We had a very long night and woke up late. The Front Desk Worker allowed us a late check-out with no fee or questions. Excellent service!! Highly recommend staying here.

Poor customer service. I called 3x and spoke with the front desk to tell them my flight was delayed. Because I booked with Expedia my reservation was labeled “no show.” I was forced to book another room and wait 7-10 days for a refund. I asked to speak with the manager and she referred back to the front desk representative for the answer. I rebooked the room and even though no one checked into the room the day before the room with a bathtub was not ready. If you’re using 3rd party booking do not book here!! The room smelled like dog. Blackout curtains were broken. Toilet paper holder broken.

Spent 2 nights. I was a little skeptical because it was downtown Oakland. There were alot of homeless people but noone bothered us. Parking is NOT ideal. Its either pay the $50 per night night valet parking or park your car yourself on the street. You are parked on the street either way but with the hotel, they have street parking assigned to them.

Not super familiar with Downtown Oakland but it was close to everywhere I needed to be. Staff was very nice and even called me a cab when I woke up hungover with a dead phone and got me to the train station on time with just 11 dollars in my pocket.

Everything was great! The breakfast room closes right at nine, so don't be late. The dining room portion stays open for a long time, so you can linger with your free breakfast. The coffee ran out a little early. Controls for the window shade are electric and secured to the wall. Will definitely stay again.

I like the 24/7 front desk and security out front while I was out there waiting for my Uber all alone. Nice big clean rooms. The included breakfast was so so. But great coffee and it’s included so I’m not complaining. I found something sustaining and wasn’t expecting gourmet food. When I ran into the housekeeper and asked for extra towels and to do up the sofa bed she did it immediately. I think her name was Lydia. If coming to Oakland, I’d stay here again for sure.
